The items were poor quality, broken and the drivers (supposedly not Ashley emp) put the furniture together in the road in front of your house! Boxes everywhere... they left water bottles, trash, nails, screws, tools and more all over the street when they left! He told me that they had some free tempur pedic pillows when buying something and they would give them to me as a gift, it turns out that I did buy and not just for the quilts but because I liked the sofas but it turns out that the man was charging me $ 300.00 more for the two pillows that according to were free, this should not be done mr. This location has been no help on the service side of the love seats I purchased. they "sold" me the warranty and that whatever happened to our purchase would be handled. The store is no help as they can only refer you to the warranty company who is awful. I get it that they are not the warranty company but don't sell product then back it up w a nothing warranty. Their call backs don't exist, their appt scheduling is no better, than after you have been delayed and delayed you give up and or expire your warranty. I don't even know where to begin. Just stay away. Far, far away. That's my advice. I bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture from them when I lived in Phoenix. Had a few hiccups but was overly satisfied. However, the Visalia store is just awful. Corporate office does nothing for you but refer you back to the local store and they never do what they tell you they will. They put you on eternal hold and then just hang up on you. First they shipped the wrong item, which was damaged anyway. It took two weeks to deliver it. Some yahoo's showed up at 5 on a Friday and commenced to trying to unbox and assemble my wrong furniture in the street. (I was told it would be already assembled and inspected before it arrived; to avoid this situation.) I rejected the delivery and sent it back. They didn't like that. No one ever apologized, to this day. I placed a dozen calls to corporate and the store and never got anywhere as to when I would get a replacement. So, I called my bank and disputed the transaction. Then, a week later, out of the blue, they called and said they could deliver it in three weeks. No thanks! They also left a mess in front of my house, tiny bits of styrofoam all over the street and in my yard. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Numerous visits to the store and many phone calls to their centralized office have left us with no resolution. Our ordeal started in September with the purchase of a Sofa. Delivery was delayed 12 weeks. When the item was finally delivered it was the wrong color. We contacted the store for pickup. This took until December 3rd. They never reordered the sofa in the right color, so we cancelled the order. It is now January 12 2021 and still no refund. My husband and I have been looking online at Ashley furniture for a while now and finally made it into the store on Saturday to check it out. We ended up going with a different set, much more expensive but much nicer! Mary, the sales person, was able to match the online price which saved us about $1500. Additionally we were able to make a deal to get a coffee table and end table in with the price that fit our budget. Mary was upfront with us and said it takes up to two weeks to get our furniture, but she promised to label it "hot" try to speed up the process. 6 days later, our furniture is in our house and we could not be happier! This was per the store manager and the associate and confirmed. A few days later we get a phone call from an associate saying they can't deliver and that we don't deliver to that area. So watch who gives you your info upon purchase of a couch or any furniture from this store, very big let down, we would have never purchased had we known this result. This store's staff is very helpful and friendly... at first. My wife and I spent thousands of dollars of our hard earned money on our very first bed and couch that we purchased together as newlyweds. We were so excited for it all to show up. We confirmed the delivery a total of 5 times and to our surprise, nothing showed up. We repeatedly called the store, their call center, and customer support line and could hardly get ahold of anyone and absolutely no one could tell us why our delivery was canceled and tried to schedule our delivery for the next month because their "trucks were full" even though they admitted it was the warehouses fault that our furniture wasn't delivered. Even after my wife explained that we had sold our bed and couch the day prior to make room for the new furniture, they offered no answers or real solutions. The store manager I talked to wouldn't make any sort of compromises and acted like he was doing us some sort of favor by getting us our furniture that "soon". We went in to the Ashley store in Visalia on St. Patrick's day in March 2021. We have a brand new house so we had a lot of furniture to buy. I liked the furniture they had. I told them I had a lot to buy. The sales person, Moses, said they were having a St. Patrick's day sale and it was 60% off. I was happy so I started picking out all of the things to furnish our new house. He said he'd make us an even better deal if we bought a mattress. So we picked out a Temperapedic. It felt good in the store. When they delivered it, it was as hard as a rock! I called the manager, Mathew, and he said they can not take a mattress back once it's been in someone's house. I said it's a brand new house and we haven't moved in yet! He said sorry, and to contact the Temperapedic company after 30 days if we were still unhappy. We I did that! We paid $4,200 for that mattress! It was NOT on sale! The company said they don't do that. That the store should have offered a 90 day comfort policy. Nope! Not the Visalia store! So we are stuck with this mattress that I can not sleep on! I have fibromyalgia. We finally had to put an expensive 4" memory foam topper on it just to sleep on it! Plus the service delivery for our other furniture was horrible! 3 times they sent the wrong couch, and was torn and scratched the other two times! It took us over 6 months to get all of the furniture! This store has the worst customer service of any store I have ever delt with in my life!! Once they get your money, they're done with you! Worst experience ever. Our things were not delivered the day they said they would deliver it. Told us they would call us on a certain day and never did, we had to go to the store. When they finally brought our things, half my bed was missing, mirror was broken and they told us it was broken and left it there and didn't do anything about it. They broke some things in our apartment when they were bringing our furniture in and didn't do anything about it. They still haven't brought the other half of my bed or my mirror. Horrible service. There delivery service is beyond horrible. They sent these two men who smelled like weed and they were throwing the furniture and slamming the couches. Keep in mind these were white couches and there hands were filthy. They ruined my walls and Ashley has been playing games. They had there delivery contractor reach out to us and he was going to send someone who isn't a actual contractor to fix the damages. I purchased a sectional sofa about 3 weeks ago. Made arrangements to take delivery on 11/16. I specifically informed sales person to note that I need a phone call right before delivery so I can be home, as my job is only a 7 minute drive away. A week ago, my sales person contacted me to tell me there was an opening for delivery on 11/14. I gladly accepted because I loved the sectional and was excited to have it before Thanksgiving and two days before my original requested delivery date. All of my old furniture had been removed and the carpet cleaned a week in advance to prepare for my new sofas. I began receiving notification/confirmation text messages on Sunday. I confirmed them all. On the day of delivery, I never received a phone call. Not only that, there wasn't even a note to say when the driver came to my house. (I don't believe they even attempted to deliver at all.) When I called the WAREHOUSE for updated delivery status, I was told the sofa was returned, is now back ordered and the next available day for delivery is November 28!!?!! The schedule is full because of the upcoming holiday and deliveries to my area are only made once a week. How was I scheduled to have a delivery yesterday and now the sofa is back-ordered!?! Someone failed to do their job and now I must bear the consequence for their negligence! I don't have living room furniture for the Thanksgiving holiday. Where are my family, guests and I supposed to sit? On the floor? Why were the specific delivery instructions not followed? (CALL ME, BEFORE DELIVERY) When I called the Visalia store (twice today) they tried to tell me they will have my sales person call me back in two days. SERIOUSLY!?! You want me to wait two days for a call just to tell me the same information? Then I was finally told "we will talk to the sales manager and try to request for a special delivery and call you back". I'm still waiting on that phone call too. You might want to think twice before scheduling a delivery. This type of customer service is not acceptable. Needed a few new pieces of furniture and seen that Ashley furniture had a long term pay no interest sale going on so I checked the Ashley outlet in Visalia. I found what I wanted but didn't purchase that day. I didn't want buyers remorse. Especially because of some of the negative comments I seen on yelp. When I did purchase I found that it would take a couple of weeks to get my pieces. So many negative complaints about late deliveries or damaged furniture. Well today I received all my items and on time. We inspected all and the guys set it up. So right now I am a happy customer. From the help in the store to the delivery. So unless something falls apart I'm giving 4 stars. P S the furniture isn't hi end but I didn't pay hi end prices. it is decent furniture and fits my needs Also Ashley sales ppl will some times not give you the full price until your ready to pay. Their furniture is straight up crap and their customer service is pathetic. I ordered two dining chairs and one fell apart. When the technician came and looked at it he said they didn't even use the correct materials and had used inferior product at that. It took me 2 1/2 months to get my replacement chair. I was scheduled eight times 8!for delivery. Of those 8×, 6 times I was left hanging and had to make calls to find out what was going on. Bottom line: their automated system schedules you for a delivery regardless of whether the item is in stock or not. They know it's an issue but they don't care. It's OK to them that a customer is left hanging rearranging their day and their schedule to be home for delivery. I spoke with at least four different supervisors who used the word "guarantee" with me when saying my delivery was coming. Never did it arrive after speaking with them. 8 times!! I can only review my in store experience as I haven't received my furniture yet. We are buying a new home and need some additional furnishings for it. We walked in to a well lit showroom with a variety of furniture. Glen greeted us and explained the lay of the land. The furniture is organized by traditional, contemporary etc. When we told him our purpose he was very helpful with suggestions on how to proceed. I did not know that Ashley did layaway plans! This allowed us to choose our furniture without financing it at this moment. We didn't want to add to credit, nor pay cash yet as we are going through closing. Glen's suggestion helped us to knock our furniture decisions out of the way. He also was able to guide us with the best plan to make the most of our money. We chose a beautiful dining table, another sales associate demonstrated the ease at which the middle piece can be removed or added. I can do it with one hand. Great little added feature. We also chose some stools, coffee table, entertainment center, sofa and love seat. The furniture is beautiful, solid and priced well. If you want someone knowledgable in their product, pricing and buying options ask for Glen. He's helpful, but not overbearing allowing you to look at your own pace. Edited to say: They finished building our furniture within the promised two weeks and delivered it next day. The delivery guys were professional, polite and set up my furniture perfectly. Purchased a sofa to be delivered today, 10/25/18, went into the store and then purchased a rocker/recliner, end table and 2 pillows. All to be added on to the same delivery on 10/25/18. My delivery time was 9:30 -1:30, then changed to 10:30 -2:30......the truck showed up at my house at 7 am this morning. Happy it was early, but not 3.5 hrs early and no phone call or text that they were on their way. They are just luck that I only lived 5 minutes away from my home. The guys were fantastic, super friendly, have no complaints about them. But, I have no sofa, it was not on the truck. Not a happy customer at all and expect some kind of compensation for this error. I have called customer service and they will let me know where the hell my sofa is, but I will be in the store today after work complaining!!!!!!!!!(already left them a very angry message). read more
