Our sales person Lexi was Great she gave us the time and space to look around and made herself available when we needed her she checked stock to see if item was in and when we would be able to get it and asked us what day's and times worked for us. Had to leave and come back and when we did the man manning front turned out to be manager very nice man introduced himself and asked if he could help us not knowing we had been in. We told him we had been working with Lexi and he went to get her. Long story short Excellent customer service. They called when they said they would several times updated us with any changes and delivery did everything they said they would and more very very happy . They should go over to there partner store and give them lessons on how to treat customers (M.B) Management has got a great staff they work together like well oiled machine. He was very friendly and made my experience a happy one. Quick and painless! I picked it up the next day at their warehouse location because I didn't arrive to the store until 6 that day. Just a note if you want to bring something home that they have in stock the same day, the warehouse closes at 7:00, so you have to order and pay a couple hours before closing time. Moreover, you're better off finding what you want online and only going to the store to finalize the purchase. The managers have minimal knowledge, and they'll say anything just to close a sale. They can't explain the financing because they clearly don't understand it themselves. I'd rather they simply ask whether I'm financing or paying upfront than tell me I'll 'save money' by financing when the actual difference is two dollars. It's a joke. read more

Salesmen will hound you and follow you around, but after the sale they will not respond to any issue. When furniture or bedding is sub par, they will not refund, but only replace with their products or repair. If you are overcharged or double charged for items such as their "rewards program", "elite delivery" or "furniture protection", they will not respond or promise to credit but do nothing. We replaced four rooms of furniture and were treated this way. We were already rewards members with Mathis, who owns Ashley and their response was to do nothing. I purchased an end table at Ashley's in Tulsa Hills 1/2 mile from where I live. After paying for it I was told I could not have the floor model but I'd have to go to the Mathis warehouse across town, in heavy traffic, to the Woodland Hills warehouse to pick it up or have it delivered sometime next week. We were also told there would be no assembly. We chose to pick it up so that we'd have it sooner. When we got home after picking it up and unpacked it, we found it was not assembled and the hardware to assemble was missing. After 5 phones calls I got to a manager at this store who refused to refund my money in the store or let me trade it for the floor model. He told me I would have to take it all the way back across town to the warehouse for a refund or to get the missing parts. What a headache! My daughter has gone to Lowe's to see if she can find hardware to assemble it. I will not shop there again. read more

I recently purchased a new bedroom suite for my wife at Ashley Home Stores at the Tulsa Hills location. She picked out a new set including a headboard, footboard, side rails and a matching dresser and nightstand, with an adjustable electric foundation that was (supposedly) free with the purchased mattress, which sold for $2,294.00. The purchase price for the set totaled over $4,000.00. I had told the salesperson I expected free delivery and did not want to purchase an extended warranty or protection plan. When getting to the checkout and after totaling it up, the cashier could not print a receipt due to some website problems she was having. She said she would e-mail me a receipt and I would have it by the time I got home. I didn't get it. Although I didn't know it at the time, Ashley Home Stores in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, is franchised by Mathis Brothers Furniture, also in Tulsa and I have made many purchases there as well. (with much better results) When it was delivered, the driver handed me delivery invoices from Mathis Bros. On it was a $149.00 delivery charge as well as a $149.99 "protection plan." They also sent a $99 mattress protector you could have bought anywhere else for $39.00. After the drivers set up the furniture and left, we tried out the adjustable bed. The mattress was so thick, it rubbed against the sideboard rails. In addition, there was NO way you could get the fitted sheets on as you could not get your hands between the rail and the mattress. The only solution I had, was to remove the adjustable platform, replace the side rails and footboard with a Harvard style frame to make it work. This of course removed the charm of the set and disappointed my wife greatly. Of course, since the adjustable platform was "free" plus they had "no return allowed on the platform" marked on the bill, I have no recourse. I feel it was the salespersons' responsibility to know the 15" high oversized single mattress w/ platform could NOT be used with side rails on a twin bed. He said his boss told him they couldn't do anything about it. I guess that meant buyers beware. Normally when I shopped the Tulsa Hills store, I asked for Jonathon, who always treated me right in the past. I was hoping, since Jonathon was not there, this different sales rep would be the same. I guess I was a very poor judge of character. I feel the least they could do is refund the $149.99 protection plan dollars as I didn't want it in the first place. Oh, by the way, they did give me a "free" pillow for a bonus for spending four grand! read more

No issues with our bed purchase and delivery. Purchased new bed and frame on 6-5-19. Was told we would receive a $300.00 credit in a few weeks as we chose not to take the pillows that came with the bed. Called over a week ago and kind of given the run around and was told I'd get a call back then. Next day no call back from them so I called and asked for a manager but supposedly none in store? Whatever. But was told a week ago the credit was being mailed to us and we should have end of this week. Saturday's mail delivery received several hours ago and guess what? No credit in the mail. I've made a call to store and was told a manager would call me back. Guess what? No call back so I called her and left a message and awaiting her call back. UPDATE: received call from a supervisor that supposedly this credit was processed Friday and should be going out in the mail today. But funny as I was told over a week and a half ago that it had gone out in the mail and I was to have end of last week. Note: if resolved soon I most likely will change my review but until then 1 star stands. Most recent update: finally received credit in mail yesterday. Still feel given run around by this group on being told different things on when supposedly sent. read more

I am 47 years old and this is hands down, THE WORST buying experience I have ever had. I'm a single mother of 3 and had saved up money for 2 years, $4,000 in cash to buy new furniture for my living room. I went in on Sunday 8/18 to look around and try to get an idea of what I wanted and look at pricing. I was followed around the store by a lady named Jag to the point I almost left. She was pushier than a used car salesman in my opinion, and claimed to be an interior designer. She followed us around the whole store and every time I looked at something new, she would try to show me something more expensive and tell me they had "tiers" and that the more I bought, the cheaper each piece would be, etc. I had finally decided on a couch and oversized chair with an ottoman. She mentioned the bedroom set I had been eyeing. I told her I had seen a similar set at Big Lots for more than half the price. She told me they would price match and that if I applied for financing I would get "reward points" and each piece would be cheaper. So, while I was applying for credit, she worked up two payment options for me (neither had the price match). This ended up being an extra $139 annual expense to be in there buying club. I had already been approved for 6,000 and took a hard inquiry on my credit report by the time she told me it would have to be identical furniture to match the pricing. I'm like okay, I understand. But then she told me if I signed up for rewards, I would get club pricing and deep discounts. She told me everything includes a 5-year warranty and that anything damaged would be repaired or replaced. She made it sound like it came standard with each piece. This ended up being an extra $350. We finally agreed on a queen size bed, dresser, couch, chair and ottman and my price was 3,500. On the day of delivery, the couch didn't come. When I called Jag, she said it's not a problem and she'd get is scheduled for delivery. Then about 5 mins later, she called me back and said, unfortunately, the couch had "somehow" been removed from the ticket and that I'd have to pay for it and another delivery fee. That put me WAY over my original 4,000 budget and I feel like I had been conned. When i went in to discuss this in person because I couldn't get a call back or a manager on the phone, the ladies at the counter were rude and dismissive of my complaint. I told them I just wanted to send everything back and I would take my new credit line to a different store, I was given a number to call for the returns department and told I would be charged a restocking fee, as well as pick up. Basically, I'm stuck at this point. Took a hard inquiry on my credit report and now out another $800 for the couch. They did come down on that price for me, finally. There is a manager Zach who finally at least pretended to get that approved with upper management. When buying here, I would MAKE SURE you read the fine print and have them walk you through each charge before you sign anything. Very disappointed. read more

We came in on Saturday after Thanksgiving 2020 and purchased a sofa with cash. We were forewarned that it was highly likely to be Christmas or New Year's before it could be delivered because there were none in the system and they would have to get it from the factory. Today is April 9 2021. After many many promises of "two more weeks," we were informed yesterday that it was in. While we have been waiting FIVE AND A HALF MONTHS, while they are still holding $2k of our money, the only thing they have done besides lie about the dates to expect it was to offer free delivery, which we accepted. But when we got the call to Say that it is in the store, we were told that their delivery is scheduled up and that we could expect to wait TWO MORE WEEKS to get on the list. We are tired of the runaround and the lies. We don't want to wait another two weeks when we are going on six months already. So they told us, "fine. Come pick it up." But we are not doing another single thing, not even giving a discount equal to what would have been free delivery. And that word has come from the regional manager, Josh Lawrence. This is the kind of customer service that we did not expect and would have never darkened the door if we had known better. Went here to furniture shop as my husband and I just moved to Oklahoma from NC. We were greeted with outstanding warmth and friendliness by Roxy. She wasn't pushy like most salesmen are. She was polite and professional. Not to mention incredibly helpful!! The store was clean and had a great selection of furniture. Delivery of our furniture was pretty quick, and the guys were super friendly and professional. We absolutely love love love our furniture from Ashley!!! I went into this store to buy a bed, attached are the pictures.. At the time the sales lady told me that if I bought a bed I would get 20% off for with a $2,000.00 purchase and a free bed. I picked out a bed that ran $2,099.95 . At check out, this is when things went south... They then told me the 20% did not apply to this "brand" but I pointed out that this was not listed on the advertisement... They informed me that this was because this bed just "came in" but they would honor this. Then they "informed" Me the free bed did was not included... I advised them this is what the sale person told me, and they told me that they would honor this, however the bed is out of stock, and would not be in for 4-6 weeks... I told them I would wait.., not liking this Cory the Supervisor on duty told me they would not honor the set because that was a $3,000 based even though it was clearly marked as a set. He then told me he would give me something of less value. I advised him I wanted what was advertised and he said if he did he would get fired. I asked him who I could address this with and he told me Rit Mathis, (Since they are owned by Mathis Brothers) I called and left several messages and no one to date called me back to discuss. Since then I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau . We spent 4 hours at the store dealing with these people On a positive note, the Sales person was helpful and tried to resolve all issues. read more

I could not possibly be less satisfied with my experience here. 2 months ago, I went into the store to purchase a chair I'd seen online. I had a photo, the product number, and a link to the page on their website. I went directly to a salesperson to see if they had it in the store. They didn't, so it was special ordered for me, a process that took (no exaggeration) a full hour. I finally left the store only to receive a phone call saying that they had forgotten to have my sign something specific and the piece couldn't be ordered until I came by the store to sign it in person. Annoying, but whatever. 4 weeks later, the wrong chair showed up at my apartment. After 2-3 hours on the phone and via email with customer service, they finally figured out their error and ordered the correct chair. I also asked for a discount, which they granted, but has not yet been applied to my account. It won't be applied until they deliver the correct chair. Yesterday, I received an automated voicemail that the chair would be delivered today. No time given. So I called this morning to inquire and was told 6:41-8:41pm. Huh, okay. I got another phone call a few hours later saying my delivery time had been changed to 2-4pm. Fine, whatever. It is now 4:46pm and no chair, no phone call. I just called the store to report the late delivery and was told "Oh, yeah, there's 8 other deliveries ahead of you. Looks like they're a bit behind." I asked if anyone intended to call me and was told "They're working on it." Great, then I'm going to work on going about my day. Terrible experience. Never again. Absolute cluster for a $500 chair that may never arrive. read more

Maybe really 2.5 stars? I was excited to go to a place away from the traffic mess that is 71st and 169. I was also hoping for a change of scenery from the local monopoly of Mathis Brothers. This location is conveniently located in the least busiest place of Tulsa Hills. The shopping experience was similar to all other furniture shopping experiences, with a sales man, eagerly awaiting my entrance. I appreciated the fact that my salesman didn't have any hardcore sales tactics like suggesting he needed my business so that his giant family could eat or that between me and him, this was just a starting point so he could do what he was really meant for...the Lord's work (both previous and true experiences). However, his personality was a bit stale and just relied on constantly reminding me about the manager's special that was available for that day only. Give him positive points for know the store lay out and even moving tables to see if they would go with the couch I was thinking about getting. Granted I fell for the "refundable down payment" technique, which really isn't fully refundable if you read the fine print of their sales contract. But I found the couch and accessories I wanted, and didn't feel like going through hassle of visiting a different store. At least I was allowed to measure the area in my house first, before finalizing my order...and that's really where the trouble began. I called in to verify and complete my order where I was bounced all around to various departments. That's when I learned that this is not an independent store, but is part of the Mathis Brother dynasty. My heart dropped a bit, when someone from customer relations thanked me for calling Mathis Brothers. Not only was I not needing to contact someone from customer relations, but it wasn't even someone from the store location I was trying to contact. After about 30 minutes of needless transfers, I was finally placed with the correct person and made final payment. Here's hoping that come delivery date, that I get what I actually ordered. read more

My mom recently purchased a sleeper sofa which was delivered in April and broke shortly after. A couch this expensive should not be breaking, especially only after having it such a short amount of time. They picked it up and took it to get it fixed and when they finally returned it, it was still broken! So they came back and got it again, and returned it with fabric missing from the bottom from where they had repaired it. And guess what, it's broken AGAIN! They've given my mom the run around, never calling back when they say they will, saying they approved for her to return it and then turning around and saying they didn't. She's very unhappy and even after expressing this, their poor communication skills, and the low quality of their product, they still won't allow her to return it. They are having a new one sent to us that is going to take weeks to be delivered, so we're stuck with a broken couch until then (which you can even sit on from the middle to the left end because it sinks in when you sit on it). They've had the couch more than we've had it due to them having to "repair" it. We've been dealing with this for months now. We are very unhappy with the poor treatment of this store and their low quality, yet very expensive, couch. The picture shows where the couch is broke. It's constructed of cheap wood which shouldn't be used for a couch, and because of this, we won't be surprised if this new couch breaks too and we have to go through this all over again. Needless to say, we WILL NOT be recommending this store or it's products to anyone! read more

My fiance and I absolutely love the quality of product that we picked out and now have delivered. That is about all I can say that is positive regarding our overall experience with the Tulsa Hills location of Ashley Home furniture. From the very start the sales process was rocky. We tried to edit the delivery location, and we were told that we would have to refinance/pay out of pocket even though we were approved for well within our updated order cost. My fiance and I were in the middle of underwriting at the time on our new home, and even though our new delivery address was within the same square mile we were charged more "due to tax code". Same zip code between both addresses. The manager relayed he would give me a return call...3 times after I had reached out to him on why our balance had changed. There was absolutely no reassurance that it would not affect our home purchase until miraculously our salesperson finally reached out saying it was her error. After getting the correct delivery address, and the balance being correct, we awaited delivery. The truck was late because the address inputted in fact was inverted and wrong! The delivery guys followed proper CDC guidelines when they did arrive, but they noticed the WRONG HARDWARE WAS BROUGHT WITH THE DELIVERY. The installers relayed further that this is not uncommon and that a lot of deliveries have hardware issues preventing them from completing their set ups. The delivery was on Tueday, and we were told the hardware would be in and on a truck to us on Thursday. After not seeing a truck the first half of the day, I called for an update and the first two customer service agents did not know if they had the hardware. "We will give you a callback in an hour." 4 hours had gone by with no update, and I followed up with them. A new representative confirmed almost immediately that they had the hardware, but the soonest they would be able to set up a delivery and install date is days away even though hardware is in stock and our furniture is still in pieces. Very unimpressed with the manager's professionalism and reluctance to assist in any aspect regarding the sales/delivery process. UPDATE: 11/15/2020 Yesterday they were to arrive with correct hardware to put the adjustable base and bed frame together. They arrived at the wrong address again, but after they were here they got to work. I kid you not, it was the wrong hardware again. Customer service said they knew it was the wrong hardware, but they hoped it would work. After enough calling I got them to completely swap out our current adjustable base with a new one that they had hardware. They came out today, and installed the base! You think it'd be done, right? No. They put the adjustable base together, and left without putting the bed frame together. Their reason was we weren't sent with tools. Soonest they could be out would be Tuesday with no reassurance of a verified time. We will be reaching out to their corporate office due to the disorganization and lack of resolution Ashley furniture has provided through any of this. read more

I've been waiting on my 3 tables since January and I have made calls an received dates and even went in twice based on the dates I was given. I've requested a refund and was transferred so many times that I gave up. I have found similar tables at other places and some at a lower price with same quality. I will likely never shop here. I've ordered various pieces online and in their Olympia store, and by far, my preference is in-store. He was very helpful, but low-key, and even gave me his cell number because he knew if I had specific questions, I'd get the main Mathis Brother number. I went to the Tulsa Hills store because it was the closest to home. I knew Mathis owned Ashley, but the salesman didn't tell me I had to go to Mathis to pick up the accent chair till after the sale. It would have cost $60 to have a $300 chair delivered. When I went to pick it up, I found out I had to assemble it when I got home. The salesman also didn't tell me that. The warehouse men said "Oh it's easy. The back just slips into the seat and put on the chair legs." Putting on the back was not that easy! The only good thing about having to go to Mathis was the chair was $74 cheaper there and they gave me credit. But then, I had to go back to Ashley to get the credit on my card. read more

I was going for particular looks throughout our new home. My husband and I were using the same bedroom furniture from when we were married over 25 years ago. I refused to continue that trend. The very low reviews are surprising to me, we had a really good experience. We had a great contact there, Cody Whisler. He was super informative and available when we had questions but wasn't on top of us. Very knowledgable. We found things we liked there quickly, but wanted to look at options so went to a few other stores. We decided within the week Ashley was best. I e-mailed Cody with a few questions before going back in and got a response within the hour both times. The reclining sofa, end table, and large chest arrived right away after I OK'd delivery. The roller track on chest was broken upon arrival, but things happen and it wasn't a big deal because the delivery men were very apologetic, tried to fix it and couldn't, and told me how to get a replacement. The chest came less than 48 hours later, and again the delivery men were professional and polite. Would go back! read more
