Ordered online. They don't give you your choice of delivery they send you an e-mail and then somebody reaches out to you via telephone to confirm that that time frame is okay. And they don't have a window of time until the day of service which can be a little bit frustrating. Furniture looked great and met our expectations however there were a few minor hitches with the delivery experience... One of the delivery guys actually asked me to help him lift a TV stand and transport by hand to my house which I found unprofessional since we paid a pretty penny for getting delivery service. I let him know about my bad back and proceeded to let them do the job they were paid to do. His rebuttal was that his neck hurt but in my mind my rebuttal was they aren't precisely cheap for delivery services. I did not respond anything I just let the other guy know that he asked for help when the guy said he wasn't supposed to do that and quickly jumped outside and help him with the TV stand. The same guy that asked me for help with a TV stand opened up the door and slammed it into the corner of the dining table and the other guy was prompt enough to touch up with some paint that he had in this funny-looking little marker. There was also a minor blemish in the surface of the office desk that we purchase which he also touched up. It was so minor it wasn't even worth making another fuss to have them ship out any replacement. It's perfectly understandable that there will be a minor knick or two here or there. Despite those minor little hiccups it was overall a pretty decent experience. Nothing's perfect and for the price that we paid the overall value was pretty good for the money. Update One star deduction....24 hours later discovered how cheaply made the chairs really are. Grabbed the seat to move forward and it started coming apart as if it was made out of paper. I got no reply. The store manager never reached back out to me to confirm my order was cancelled. My husband went back up to the store on Tuesday (10/6) to confirm since we could not get ahold of the store and apparently customer care can't cancel my order either. So he goes up there and speaks to the assistant store manager who supposedly cancels the order as it was never cancelled to begin with and APPARENTLY THEY WERE GOING TO TRY TO DELIVER THE DAMN FURNITURE ON FRIDAY (to an address that we now no longer live at because it's taken them so freaking long!) mind you I never got any information to confirm or deny this delivery!?!? The ASM said she cannot give us any confirmation that it's been cancelled and that someone else at the store is the only one who can do that. While couch shopping we expressed our concern for finding a couch for our very limited space. We found one that we thought would be small enough but turned out not to be. We got the delivery after 7pm and called the next morning when they opened to ask if we could exchange it. Not only exchange it but for one twice the price. The assistant manager, Leo, only complained that it would take money out of his check. We explained how it didn't fit our space, how we'd be spending double on a new one putting even MORE money in his pocket. This is also our second home. We will be getting a new place by December and need to furnish that place as well and have $$$ to spend and drop on not just a couch but the entire house, living room furniture, bedroom furniture for 2 rooms and a table for the kitchen. But none of that mattered. All that mattered was the $100 he'd lose off his check if we exchanged despite knowing he'd be getting a heck of a lot more coming. We called the number given by him and they said they'd approve the exchange as long as the manager gave them the thumbs up. However, they cared more about that $100 than making a ton more profit from our business. We had planned to buy the rest of the furniture needed when we made the exchange if it had been approved. Do not shop at this Ashley's. I purchased from several Ashley's Furniture and this has has to be by far the worst. Only reason I even purchased my furniture from this store even though the experience started off horrible is because the sales person was nice. To start they have what they call their salesperson a "mattress expert" were they match you with the perfect mattress. Which was fine but the manager (Dustin Smith) stood at the corner of the entry way like a creep watching as the man repositioned me on the mattress and did demos (and I worked in sales this wasn't a watching for training or review purpose). Then as we moved along the sales floor he would randomly come up and sit down and be weird just watching not engaging staring. With my furniture I purchased a mattress cover and when I got home the mattress cover they sold me was dirty and stained. I reached out to Ashley's customer service and they told me to take it to the store. I returned it on November 30, 2022 and the manager Leonard Haye assisted me and I thought it was handled. Got an email telling me I had to return the item which I did days prior. I had to go back to the store. Leonard Haye stated he had to wait on a response and he will get back to me. My request for my refund was closed and I did not get my refund. Leonard Haye then started ignoring my messages and did not give me any updates. I had to go back to the store on December 9, 2022 and this is now over a week later and the manager Dustin Smith wouldn't even assist me and sent an employee over to tell me there's nothing they can do and then threatened to have me removed from the store. I call the corporate customer service on December 10, 2022 and had go back to the store and an employee (still no manager will do their job) put in another TICKET to "request" a refund... not issue a refund. On December 14, 2022 once again the ticket was closed again and they refused to give me my refund. I have not heard from anyone that can do their job nor have I gotten my refund on a dirty stained mattress cover that they have in their possession. She told us she could get the items we wanted and supposedly ordered them. 6 months later they sent us something totally different and now won't make it right. Wife and I went in to buy a new couch for our new home. Staff were very nice and extremely helpful, we thought we were in good hands. We found a couch we liked but had wished it was sold as a sectional. The staff member expressed that it was indeed sold as a sectional and then looked it up on his computer to show us. We told him that was what we wanted and proceeded with the order. There were two different colors "white and gray" so we told him over and over that the white one was exactly what we wanted; since we had walked in he knew we wanted a white couch. Everything was done and we left the store happy that we had found a couch. The next day I went back in to order a tv stand we had found online the night before, ordered it and the sales rep told me it would be delivered the same day as the couch... haha ok.... But I believed him. Fast forward a week and we have set up all the deliveries and everything is coming together, we are very excited to have our new home finally feel like home. Delivery arrived and the guys start bringing stuff in. The main worker reads off what is being deliver... no TV stand.. of course not. So I call the store and they tell me "oh no it's going to be another week for the TV stand" oh well it's whatever. They start unpacking the couch and of course it's the gray color not the white. My wife immediately calls the store and requests to speak to a manager, after being on hold for 5-10 minutes. He expresses that there has been several miss orders by this staff and that he will get it expedited and delivered in a few days, so we say ok and hope that it's true. So the guys pack it up and leave the house. The next morning I get a text from Ashley to schedule a delivery within the next few days.. GREAT!! It worked so I do it and it seems like it worked. Well in a few hours I get a call that I need to schedule my couch delivery and it won't be for another 2 weeks.. c'mon... I told them about the text I got and they say there is no history of that being no scheduled HOWEVER they can get it in two days but it'll just be a few pieces... the other pieces are in back order.... So we call the store back and tell the manager to just cancel it because we cannot wait that long.... Later that day we go to Bob Mills furniture in Temple and order a couch to be ready in a few days. Ashley is very unprofessional and only cares about their staff members. In-store Service was good except I was not told I was applying for a credit card when I did the "pay in 6 months." I did not want a credit card. At delivery, the third-party delivery tightened a knob too much so that it was sheared when I first opened the door. No big deal except I had to tell Ashley's third party maintenance service three times what happened and I had to keep sending photos of the broken knob. The fix for my knob could not be scheduled for two months. About six weeks in, another knob was mailed to me. Fine. I replaced the knob, but there was no way to talk to a person to cancel the maintenance call. On the scheduled day, a live person called and I canceled. I felt bad for whoever was on the road. My second payment was rejected but the email could not tell me why. By the time I knew my payment was rejected, I had to pay a $30 late charge. Enough. I paid off the purchase and cancelled the card. Came into the store looking for furniture, we had ordered everything in may with the expectation that all would be delivered by the time we got into our new house in June, after many delays we got our furniture in late July, with the expectation that our kids bed sets would not be in until August. When they arrived they had a children's night stand with the order that we tried to stop them at the door with the nightstand (still in its box), but he said that he "had to deliver it". We called and went up to the store multiple times, called the "customer care line" which provides no help either, and finally we were told that they don't take returns. We tried to stop them at the door, then were given the run around that "customer care does returns" but customer care then stated that only stores handle returns. Either way we are stuck with a nightstand without the beds to match, in the garage collecting dust. We were told by Jennifer that they do not deliver incomplete orders (example no table without chairs, no nightstand without bed etc). All staff at this store (we have talked to 5 or 6) have been 0 help and do not offer any real help mostly stating to call customer care, or this person handles returns etc, more run around. We also ordered a blanket set from them, that came in the wrong color. Also we're told that there is nothing they can do about it, no way to exchange color. Their mistake is our expense. All in all a horrible experience, still dealing with the fallout over 3 months from our order date. I would not recommend anybody shop at this location because if there are issues, it is on the customer and not the individuals who placed(in store on black and white paper so no way to verify color of the blanket) shipped, delivered the order. read more

I gave this store five stars, the furniture business is certainly a difficult business to be in with the pandemic situation and lack of availability of products. I would like to give recognition to this stores manager and the sales representative, Jennifer C.they have provided my wife and I with excellent service. I had ordered 2 patio chair in April and it is almost September. I called beginning of the month and the answering service firmly told me Aug 5th and would not give me any further details. Still waiting........ No help from help center. Told me to call the store. Spoke to salesperson that helped me and told me she will call me back. Called 2 more times but someone else answered and told me that they know what is all about and the salesperson will call me back. Never heard back from them. I will forgo my $500 credit. Store is more concerned with a quick sale than honesty. We ordered furniture for my son's new apartment on Sept 5th. It is now Oct 9th and NONE of his furniture has been scheduled for delivery. When I called to check the status of the order, I was told the pieces would not be available until some time NEXT YEAR! Had we known this we would have looked at other options or vendors. I was advised by both sales and management staff that they would honor the online pricing from their website. To start the delivery driver went into a rage inside my home simply because I had a question about the structural stability of the bed that I purchased. When I asked him to return the bed, he refused to take the bed and only took some railings. Worst, Ashley has no return policy after delivery. I try to explain to them that we tried to reject it but they don't care. This occurred over a month ago and we have called many times . Someone only tells us they will just call us back. Never have. They had a few pieces that we could not find elsewhere in terms of style and size (limited furniture options in this north of Austin area). A couch and two accent chairs. We didn't experience sales people circling like vultures. In fact, we were greeted and left alone, for the most part. When we needed assistance, we found our original greeter and she willingly assisted ... even allowing us to move some small pieces to see our grouping. Our first purchase was a couch. After visiting the showroom and other shops in the area, we completed our purchase over the phone. We weren't too happy with the delivery date almost a month away but understood that our fabric selection was custom and takes production time. The couch was delivered as scheduled and inspection showed no flaws. Our second purchase were two matching accent chairs. These were in stock in the New Braunfels distribution center and arrived within a couple days. One chair had a slight tear of the fabric on the back panel. This chair was replaced within a couple days without hassle or question. Inspect the furniture upon delivery. Don't wait. This is true for any purchase, regardless of who what where purchased. If carrying out, inspect inspect inspect before loading and driving away. Our experience here was pleasant. Our purchases were made in cash so no dealings with finance issues addressed by another reviewer (which is more of a financing company issue, not necessarily this store). read more

I Ashley Homestore 1 star because I couldn't give it 0 stars. We ordered furniture a whole new bedroom set, a big bed, two nightstands, two dressers and a bench. Then ordered two other night stands/side tables. We asked them schedule the delivery on a weekend or a convenient time that we'd both be home. The schedule during the weekday and showed up while I was at work I get home and notice the bottom of both dressers were broken at the bottom. One also was already chipping on the top. We also didn't get the hardware to attach the mirror to the other dresser. For the exchange we asked them the same thing, to schedule on a weekend or a time that was convenient for us. But yet again they showed up during the week while I was at work. Instead of building the new drawers and installing them on the new dresser, they took the drawers out of the old dresser and put them in the new one and left. When I got home from work i discovered that the drawers won't close all the way, they get stuck, and the tracks are messed up. They don't operate correctly with the new dresser. We were promised we would get our bench by December and here it is March and we still don't have it. We constantly get a new date of when it will be in. We also keep getting told everything is on back order. Mind you we ordered this furniture in July 26, 2021. When we called to tell them about the dresser, they asked us to send in pictures so we did. When we called to follow up on the status they are now telling us their policy has changed and they will have to send people out to look at it and make sure that they can exchange it. And this was an error on their part because the men they sent out to bring the furniture didn't put it together correctly and didn't use the new drawers. The still haven't sent anyone out. After spending the kind of money we did there, I am livid. The furniture quality is cheap, the guys they send out to deliver it don't speak good English, and they don't properly put the furniture together. The Temple, Tx Ashley Store is basically a franchise store. I bought furniture from this store with an estimated delivery date given to me by the Store Manager. Items did not arrive on specified date. I decided to read the contract's FINE PRINT, the store manager's delivery date is basically USELESS!! Fine print states it could be months for delivery. Given I bought and paid for the 2 separate orders. The first one arrived 2 days late, I followed the assembly instructions to the T. I purchased a new Bedroom furniture set and also an Entertainment center. ONE of the doors on the entertainment canter would not catch and stop causing it to go all the way inside. I called and answer... " Not our problem" calls the 1-800 #. Corporate warehouse choices, we can send a 3rd party to fix it, send you a new UNDAMAGED part for the door. I wanted a refund. I went back to the store and again, "Not our problem" once you receive the purchased item and signed for it then its yours and can NOT be refunded, call 1-800 number. The two assistant manager in the store this day would useless and unhelpful. Everytime I asked to speak to another person, their answer was "NOT HERE" When I l left they became SMART ASSES and made comments on my way out and began to laugh at me. So, I called the 1-800 number, Requested for the damage partS be sent to me. Waited 1 month, nothing. I called back and was informed they could NOT HELP ME because I had an open ticket on the damaged parts. I said fine take it back and send me a refund... answer NO, send me a replacement...answer NO... send me your 3rd party repair guy to see if it can be fixed...answer NO. No we cant help you since you have an open ticket and need to wait. I asked how long do I need to wait for the part...I was informed that I was placed on a waiting list and needed to to wait until the warehouse department was able to handle my ticket and ship my REPLACEMENT PARTS. Once I received the parts and if it still did not fit, to call back and they would schedule a 3rd party repairman to come out. Ok, I called back for a repairman, got placed on another waiting list, since they can NO schedule the date and time for the repairman to come out, the 3rd party would have to call and schedule and appointment. They finally called and scheduled an UNPLEASANT time and date which caused me to take off work or wait another month for an available date. They were able to fix the entertainment canter with new parts. This entire process from date of purchase to my entertainment too THREE MONTHS!! Ashley franchise store from Temple, TX is one of the WORST places I have ever purchased furniture from. I took my 2nd order which was the Bedroom set and had it cancelled before delivery date, Their loss, and they screwed their employee over because she loss her commission on this sale. To the 2 assistant managers, Instead of laughing at me, you shoudl have tried to help, gone out of your way and called the 1 -800 number and see what was it taking so long and how a customer could have been helped better, you cheated the employee out of here commission and a sale for your store when I cancelled my 2nd purchase. Paid $3000 for a couch plus an extra $300 for a warranty. When the couch began to break down from the inside (boards were poking out of the back of the couch through the fabric covering) I was told I would have to pay for the structural repair. When I asked about the warranty Ashley Customer Service said, "If you cut your couch, we'll fix it but if it breaks down... that's not covered." I went into the store on the 28th of July, found a bedroom set that I liked and according to the sales associate, she said it would be ready on the 10th of august. I was told that the soonest they could get out to me was the 27th of august. I told them that I needed it sooner and was there a way to squeeze me in and they said they could have it to me on the 20th. Fine. I just received a text from Ashley's asking if I wanted my delivery on the 27th or 28th.... I tried calling the delivery company, no answer (multiple times). I called customer support and they told me they couldn't do anything on their end. I attempted the sales person at 10:30 AM and the phone system says they are closed even though the website says they are open at 10:00 AM.I call customer care (different from customer support) and they told me they couldn't do anything for me with regards to delivery, checking to see why the store is closed and I was told they couldn't help.... For a lack of customer service, I'm really surprised they are still in business. read more

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! My sales person was Byron and he is a moron , he constantly kept saying it wasn't his fault it's the other companies blah blah blah, so I went in to buy a couch in June-Julyish area , picked one did my first payment which was $86.90 they said 3-6 weeks for my couch to arrive , about 2 weeks go by I get a text asking me which of the 3 dates listen do I want my delivery to be, clearly i picked the quickest one which would've been August 18th. They tell me they'll send a confirmation text a day before to remind me. Well a week goes by I get a call saying oh there's a delay they'll have to push it back, I got no date no nothing just it's delayed. So I go up to Ashley's furniture bc THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. I ask them this is the 2nd time you delay my order wtf is going on , some red head lady claims oh it'll be here next week next week so I ask her again are you sure it's next week she says yes she fills out the orders. So I leave A WEEK GOES BY STILL NO DAMN COUCH . I go up to Ashley's for the THIRD time and I go directly to Byron saying what I've said the past 2 times he claims "it's not us it's smart sales" which they've told me every single time that it's never their fault. I tell him to call them and see what's up turns out my couch was going to be hers till NOVEMBER ! How did it go from 3-6 weeks to 3-5 months?! When he calls the delivery lady he has it on speaker and the lady says "it says it'll be November but don't tell them that" LIKE WHAT ?! So I demand a refund and he tells me 7-14 business days guess what happens next.. 14 business days and still no refund , I go up there again how many times is that?? 4?? Absolutely horrible experience with movers who refused to help me and left couch covering my sliding door. Had to move the couch again after they left and I'm pregnant! Also left old couch outside my apartment door and I have no way of moving it. Sexist and disgusting attitudes! I'm very upset by this!!! read more

Worst store ever! Worst customer service ever, worst management ever. I purchased an entire bedroom set, living room set and dining table back in August. After multiple delays, wrong items being delivered. Items being taken off the truck and not delivered, mgmt ordering the wrong items.. they now can't fix anything because they have exhausted there resources. And I've spent 3 hours on hold on multiple occasions to speak to someone. At this rate the store is only giving us $300 to compensate us for the issues. And will not budge on anything else read more

We moved from California to Temple Texas and left a lot of furniture behind. So shortly after arriving we headed to Ashley's. I have to say that there is a HUGE difference between locations. While the sale lady was super sweet the rest of our experience has been awful. It's has now been 2 months and we still don't have all of our bedroom set. The last two pieces came today. While there were three delivery people only one brought our nightstands in the house. He damaged our door and both nightstands were in poor condition. One of them so awful I can't believe they even delivered it to us. All this after waiting two months and after spending over $7300. You can't get anyone to call you back from Ashley store itself. If I could mark less I would. Went into the store picked out the furniture we wanted and then asked when the furniture would be arriving they confirmed 3-4 weeks. This wasn't ideal But with COVID and all that it was reasonable. It is now 5 months later and I have just received the full set. With a damaged headboard. After months of talking to customer service it's always on its way or we can deliver the dresser and then the headboard...etc... I spent alot of money and I was expecting some level of customer service but no dice!!!I will never go back to Ashley's. read more
