I would give this place a negative if possible. Giving a one star is too generous. This place is a scam and would never ever go back. We had two salesman tried to ripped us off and they lied about everything, even lied about the delivery date. My boyfriend and I purchased over 10K worth of furniture on 09/6/2019 to furnish our new home and our experience there was the worse. Evan tried to sell us a king mattress for $1100, when in fact it was less than $500 online. The second and third time we went there, we worked with Jacob. Jacob was helpful, but also a scam artist. He would make you think that he is giving you a good deal.. some extra discounts, but in fact they were the online prices. He gave us quotes on all the items that we liked, but charged us different prices at the end. He told us the protection plans is $299.99 for the sofa, then charged us $399.99. He over charged us on 3 other items and I had to tell him to fix it. Once he have made the sale, he is no longer helpful or answer your calls. It was a nightmare trying to cancel an order, a nightmare trying to have them to correct the shipping address. Took them two days to get it corrected, which is ridiculous. Customer services there is the worse as well. Once they have your sale, they don't care about the service they provide. I asked for a copy of my invoice but never received it. It was a headache talking to those people. They are like a team of scam artist that lies and bs all around. I'm praying to God that I'll get my furniture on time and all together. Do not shop here.. go somewhere else please. read more

We just moved and went to the store looking for furniture in early Aug. They were having pretty good sales that day and we ended up buying nearly 10k worth of stuff. The sales man, Jacob, was helpful then and promised us that one of the items in our list could take a while since it's new but he will get other pieces delivered to us first. We waited 3 weeks and never received any updates from them so I called. They said my items won't all be in until the end of September 23rd(OMG!) and they won't delivery until everything is in. I contacted my salesman and asked him what was going on because he promised earlier delivery for items that are in and that was when he said I will be charged an additional $165 if I want them early which I did not want to have to pay. I asked him to work on it for me and he just gave me the store phone number and asked me to just talk to the manager.. go figure! Comes Sept 22nd, I still have not received any delivery confirmation call so I called and they said my stuff have not come in and I have to wait another week and the wear house will call me. I waited another week and of course no one called. I called and finally got my delivery date of Sept 27th, nearly 2 months after I purchased the items. On the delivery day, delivery guys told me that the sales person did not order all the parts of my bed and they cannot assemble because of the missing parts. I called customer service and they told me they will send the issue to the store and they will call me. NOTHING, no one called. I had to call and they said they saw the notes and will call me right back with the results. I waited. NO ONE CALLED BACK! I had to call back again and they said my items won't be in until the second week of October!!! WHAT?!? I asked to speak to a manager and of course, there was no manager on site. I asked to speak to the first in command and of course, she was busy and I was promised she will call me back. Again, NO ONE CALLED BACK. Ashley, how bad can you be? You charged my credit card the day of purchase, no communications, bad service, I had to call to what feels like 100's of time. No one was willing to help and of course MISTAKES! If you don't want me to have the furniture then don't lie and sell them to me! Don't do this to your customers, it's not nice. I don't have time to deal with your game. Get your act together and be responsible for things you and your salesmen promise. If I can give it less than one star I would. I will need more furniture but I will NOT be going back to your store. Neither will my friends, family, co-workers and everyone I know. Thanks for being terrible and making us sleep on the floor for 2.5 months. UPDATE: Guess what guys, I had another delivery today for missing parts and YOU DID NOT HAVE THE HARDWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many times can you guys F'ed up? Come on Ashley (Sterling), if you really don't want me to have your furniture then take the darn things back, refund me the money but do not waste my time like this!!!! I cannot take off work and wait for shit like this. Stop being so irresponsible. How do you do business this way? I'm at a lost now. read more

DO NOT BUY AT STERLING, VA STORE or any Ashely Furniture place! Worst service I have ever had for anything in my entire life. --WAITED 4 MONTHS-- for part of my furniture and then --ANOTHER 6 MONTHS-- until I got a refund for the rest. I called them so many times and they would not let me contact the manager. Finally after 9 MONTHS I got a hold of the manager and they would not do anything to make up for not getting my furniture after ordering. Got my refund check at month after I talked to the manager that means I have been dealing with this for 10 MONTHS Just spend the extra money and go to a better store. I wasted so many hours trying to call them and I am just getting my refund right before I have to move out of my apartment. read more

Terrible experience. We ordered a sofa back in early July of 2020 and they mentioned it will be delivered within 2 weeks. Then it moved to September, then to early October, then to late October, now the estimated date is mid-November! Come on....you are selling a product stating it would be delivered within 2 weeks, and after the sales, it is now estimated at the 4th month! This is ridiculous. Every time I call they say we have unexpected backlog. What kind of a company doesn't know its capacity just 2 weeks ahead? They are terrible in commitment.....don't use this store in Sterling, VA. read more

***BUYER BEWARE*** I, as many others previously have stated, am having issues with getting my furniture delivered on time. I tried to cancel and get a refund since they're several months behind the promised time at this point and I can only get store credit.. Great so I can order other stuff and never receive it. I didn't even really need it at a certain time, but don't know what to do at this point except maybe contact BBB. So if you buy something here there is no promise when you'll get it but they'll have no problem taking your money. Another thing no-one has brought up in the terms is the manufacture warranty is 6 months. That is included in every purchase whether you buy their protection plan or not. But guess what? That plan STARTS as soon as you buy it. So if they deliver it 6 months later and it breaks the next day. Tough luck. Oh unless you buy their warranty plan of course. Bottom line up front, you must be okay with waiting 6+ months to receive your furniture. My advice to managers - set proper expectations to your customers. I understand why you don't cause no one would shop there, but this is crazy. I doubt I will get a response, but if I do I don't want to contact your care team. How about address some of these problems for future shoppers. read more

@AshleyHomeStore BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT buy anything from this store! We started a minor warranty claim 7 weeks ago and not one time have they returned a call or message. I will never buy from this company again as they don't back their products or honor valid warranty claims. read more

Ashley Store - Minor Issue they refuse to address - Furniture Stores Near Me - Sterling, Virginia

I purchased a new bedroom set for my daughter, and living room furniture for the new house. Delivery was promised July 8, 2019. That date came/went and no word from Ashley Furniture. After several phone calls to Ashley Furniture, I was told by the distribution center that the were refusing to deliver my daughters bedroom set (she is sleeping on the floor) because the couches weren't in yet. Repeatedly I was told that they couldn't do a split delivery, that they would have a manager contact me, and other nonsense - providing pathetic customer service. After FOURTEEN phone calls - I finally spoke to "Kevis" who said he was the store manager, who said he had pulled all of my receipts and had all of the items at the distribution center and would have the items delivered 7/17/2019. After furnishing an entire household with Ashley Furniture 9 years ago, I had returned to Ashley for this purchase -- only to realize that I had made a HUGE MISTAKE. Kevis told me that these delays were "industry standard" and that I should't get upset. Apparently this is a daily occurrence for Ashley Furniture. Had I known there was going to be a delay - I would have made other arrangements, but the AWFUL customer service from Ashley Furniture at the Sterling, VA store never even let me know what was going on. Ashley Furniture delivers TERRIBLE customer service - right down to trying to provide them feedback via their website, so I'm here instead warning other potential customers. read more

Great service from Ahmad. He helped us to find and finance a sofa and loveseat on a plan that works for us.

My wife and I purchased a dual reclining sofa from Ashley Furniture Store at the Sterling VA location. We purchased the sofa in mid-November, and it was delivered to us prior to Thanksgiving. One week later the control panel for the sofa button was stuck in the on position and would not release. We unplugged the sofa so as not to burn out the motor. We contacted customer service; they asked us for a picture and an explanation, and we provided as they asked. Customer service said they would order the new part and as soon as it arrives contact them so they can schedule a technician to replace the part. After 5 weeks and no part arrived, we called customer service several times with no status and finally they advised us that the part was coming from China and it would take 2 more weeks. The part arrived and we contacted customer service, and they said a technician would be in touch in 48 hours to schedule a time to come out. After a few days I called again because no technician reached out. Customer service said they have the work order in and that we would be contacted. Now we are at 5 weeks for the part and another 2 weeks waiting for the technician. It is just before Christmas, and I received an email from the technician to schedule a date for them to come out. The two dates I was given were February 15th or 16th. Now we have to wait 2 more months before our unusable sofa will be fixed. Again, we were only able to use it for 1 week. I called customer service several times, as now I wanted them to remove the couch and be refunded my money (approximately $3000.00). Customer service said all they can do is place the work order in. I told them that I will go to the store I bought the sofa from. The person at customer service said, "They won't be able to help you". SO, I went anyways and this was the last week in December. I spoke with the manager at the store and explained my situation as we were now approaching 8 weeks without a workable sofa. This was after another customer was complaining about dirty furniture being delivered to their house. The customer service liaison was also at the store, and she advised the manager to email their corporate office with the explanation and to indicate I wanted a full refund for the sofa because I was going to eventually have an unusable sofa for 3 months. They let me know that they should have a response very soon and I can wait or if I have something to do and then come back to the store and discuss the response. I have now waited 10 days and no response. I have messaged the store manager wanting an update, the first time he indicated he hasn't heard anything back, the second message I have not received a response from the manager and now it's three days waiting and now writing this review. I am now 10 weeks without a workable sofa. No communication from Ashley furniture corporate nor the store in Sterling VA. This is the most unacceptable customer service I have ever experienced. To spend approximately $3000 on a sofa that broke 1 week later. I would advise never to take your business to Ashley Furniture. Their customer service lines have call center individuals that don't help, managers that don't follow through, customer liaison that don't follow through and a corporate office that has failed also. Of course, I will continue to get this resolved, however, I needed to take this step to maybe open the eyes of the corporate office on how their company is failing. Less than 1 Star Rating read more

So, and update Ashley Furniture contacted me asked for a receipt and pictures, so I thought sweet maybe they are going to help me out, so I sent them everything they asked for. Then I was ghosted by them. I personally think they reply back so it looks like they care but they don't they didn't even provide me phone number. So sad you can't even trust a big company any anymore you might as well help out a smaller company. read more

Wow what crappy furniture! We bought a couch and chair here in November. It is already worn out! Color fading and piling like a cheap sweater. The chair, which hardly ever gets used also looks bad. DO NOT BUY ASHLEY FURNITURE!!!!!!!!!!! Also every time I've gone to the store they are annoying. The manager wouldn't leave my mom alone. She was clearly not interested in talking to him but he kept pestering her. He was like "I bet you work in sales! I'm going to hire you!" It was weird. read more

Don't bother shopping here unless you really like wasting your money or just enjoy buying crap that won't hold up. Sure, the salespeople are nice but they're salespeople - they're supposed to be. The furniture is poor quality and the warranty is absolutely worthless, if you happen to get a piece of furniture that you need to contact them about (and you will, because their stuff is crap), you're better off commenting on social media or yelp, it's the fastest way to get a response but dont get your hopes up. You see a lot of responses on here from Deannie F. but the responses are signed by Brenda, pretty common with the shell game these guys play - I've had the "pleasure" of dealing with Deannie and I can assure you that she will talk over you, lie, and stall like a champ. Then she'll pass the file off to someone else to continue the same cycle, so do yourself a favor and don't even get caught up in it, these guys are professionals at not delivering any sort of customer service. Their entire "customer service" department is about denying that there's an issue to start with, they'll drag the process out, lie about what they can and can't do and then throw their technicians under the bus all so they don't have to do anything about their shoddy products. End result is a frustrated customer and a refusal to conduct business with any sort of ethics. Whatever savings you think you gain by shopping here, you won't. read more

I had good customer service at the Sterling location, BUT DO NOT PURCHASE THE EXTENDED SERVICE PROTECTION. DO NOT BUY THEIR PROTECTION SERVICE. I accepted and paid for the extended protection warranty and the company that deals with the warranty "MONTAGE" is the worst to deal with. It's been months since I've had a decent help. My fiancé and I bought a sofa from this store. We worked with Andre, who said delivery would take "about 2 weeks." The sofa did not arrive until about 5 weeks later, which was not an issue (but certainly could have been for any other person without furniture). However, the sofa which arrived was not the sofa which we ordered. This is when the unpleasant experience began. I called and spoke with a salesman named Monty, who was very nice and helpful and told me he would let Andre know about the issue. I received a call from Andre, who had a rude attitude, proceeded to tell me that the sofa I got is absolutely the sofa I ordered and that "he has been working there for 15 years so he knows what he is doing." When asked if the store (or Andre) could have simply made a mistake and ordered the wrong sofa, Andre replied that it was not possible that he made a mistake. When I asked to speak with a manager, Andre said he was not available but that Andre would speak with him. I then asked for the manager's name and Andre mumbled a name and then hung up on me. Sitting in my living room with a sofa I did not order, I called the store's customer service line for help. I spoke with Danielle, who was very nice and told me they would be able to assist. Danielle told me I would receive a call from the manager of the store by close of business that day. I never received a phone call and no further action has been taken by the store to assist. Overall, Monty from sales was great, as was Danielle. Andre had a halfway decent attitude about selling us something, but a terrible attitude once the store had our money and there was a problem. It's unacceptable to speak to customers that way and then for the store not to call me back as promised - let alone follow up to see if the issue had been resolved - was overall just a disappointing experience. read more

Bought a sectional couch and a dining table and chair set. Both are terrible quality and not worth the cost. I WISH I had read the reviews online before buying from Ashley's. They customer service AFTER you buy the furniture is TERRIBLE. Very rude! They sold me a protection policy for 99 usd for the table saying a technician would come over and varnish and maintain it. The table chipped within a year given the poor quality (it's practically made out of saw dust). I put in a request for a tech to fix the problem and they said they would replace the item BUT I would have to pay for delivery and for protection renewal for the new item. So basically 200 usd...a scam as I would never had paid for such a ridiculous policy.i complained to Ashley's and the customer service were rude and dismissive. We have had the absolute worst experience with Ashley Furniture especially this location. We ordered a $4000 dollar bedroom set back in December of 2020 it's almost October and still our bed set is not ready. When trying to cancel our order today we had the displeasure of dealing with the General Manager Wayne Eadie. Our initial delivery was scheduled for January but that got pushed back to March which is understandable but October is completely frustrating and irritating. While Wayne Eadie accused us of not having been ready for the delivery which is false, and accused us of receiving phone calls and telling them we were not ready for delivery which is also false. Wayne Eadie, Ashley should be ashamed they have someone like him running a store while not listening to us, arguing with the customer, and accusing us of false communications (the girl working the customer service desk then clarified he was wrong), and walking away from us the paying customers. This man Wayne Eadie should not be in the customer service industry what's so ever. Ashley furniture you've disappointed us but Wayne Eadie you've disappointed us even more. read more

Buyer beware! I have been assisting my elderly father long distance in purchasing a bed and mattress because I know that the sad truth is seniors get taken advantage of. My experience with this store has been horrendous. I needed to make several phone calls between my father and the store because of all the issues that came up. Items indicated online were not available at this location, got discontinued over the weekend forcing us to consider replacement, and one item even became unavailable overnight (between store closing and opening the next day). The store would not remove his old, clean, thin vinyl mattress. The store kept quoting me prices that were higher than advertised. Replacement suggestions for things that were discontinued were hundreds of dollars more...even the quoted delivery price got hiked by $100 from my first call to payment. It took hours of calling every 10 minutes to reach someone. Messages were not returned. Notes left by one associate for the person drawing up the invoice were riddled with errors. If I am so angry and frustrated, I can only imagine what my 90+ year old father would have gone through. This experience has left such a bitter taste in my mouth that I next need furniture...Ashley is not a place I'd go to! read more

I'd give a 0 star if possible. Went in looking for multiple rooms to furnish and was avoided by sales personnel. Finally approached someone to purchase floor lamps and was handed off twice because clearly this sale wasn't big enough for them. They initially offered floor models, then said no items were in local warehouse and would be delivered by Wednesday but let's be safe and say Friday for pickup. It's now the following Saturday and no calls. When I called, I was told the delivery truck was canceled this week and that it 'should' come next week. No guarantees. They will call.. so, I paid for a delivery that did not come and the best they offered was we will call you when it's available and I get the privilege of picking it up.. no thanks. Not shopping with them again. read more

We purchased a sofa here about 18 months ago and it has been a nightmare to deal with them. First, the workers dropped the sofa off the back of the truck (my wife watched them drop it) and claimed it never happened. When we showed them the damage, they said since we purchased a floor model, it was already there still denting they dropped it. When we purchased the sofa we bought a multi year extended warranty. In October my wife called to enquire what was needed for a claim. They said they needed a serial number and description. We got busy and didn't follow up (older parents, kid in college, holidays, new job and lots of stuff). My wife obtains all of the information and calls the only to find out that since we didn't call back, the claim would be denied. They are claiming they sent information but we cant find it. We bought from them because we thought it was a national company with good service. We now know that it is a name and this group is owned locally. No one at the store would tell us, but the licenses and business records are there. I would never buy from here again. Terrible service and absolutely no accountability. read more

I bought chairs. The chairs were suppose to be here on 11/16. In time for Thanksgiving. Its thanksgiving. I do not have chairs. They will not let me cancel the order (even though I do not have my chairs). They want to give me the display (very used) chairs but with no discount. They are good at taking money, they are not good at giving you the product. As far as transactions go, this is not a transaction. In summary, do not buy from here if you actually want furniture. Their merchant policies are absurd (no refunds or cancellations.) plus they say credit card cancellations are subject to collection or attorney fees which I believe is a violation of merchant account terms. read more

But, I do get the overwhelming impression that they don't give a shit either. If I worked there and a customer got shit on like that, I would have gotten the manager involved. Maybe that was the manager assisting the front desk.... but I wouldn't know, bc he, didn't acknowledge me at all or offer any kind of apology. I will never be back. Run the other way and don't look back! We purchased a complete bedroom set (or what we thought to be complete). After spending over $5500 - we found out on delivery that we did not get all of the pieces we thought we did. In addition, the headboard and footboard were damaged upon delivery and we watched the delivery men damage one of the nightstands while banging it into our front door. We called the store immediately and was told that we could not return the set without a 30% restocking fee. We didn't even have all of the pieces delivered that day and out of 8 items ordered - only 7 showed up and 3 of those were damaged. Too bad, so sad was Ashley's response. We recieved a call that the backordered piece was available for delivery a week ago - we have called back 3 times and left messages (as we were unable to reach an actual person) with no call back. Buying furniture can be a very stressful experience and from what I've heard a lot of the companies cheat you in one way or another. However, this has been one of the most excruciating experiences I've had as a consumer. I will never purchase anything from Ashley Furniture again and I would warn those close to me of how awful their customer service is. Ashley Furniture employs hard selling, commission, and negotiation tactics in a refined process of ripping you off. They play games, "let me talk to the manager", create emotional bonds, all the selling tactics you'd expect from anywhere else, and that's OK. The only part I can not tolerate is the lying. I was promised by two managers and my salesperson that I would receive my furniture in three weeks. I even pulled up the reviews of other customers that testified in how horrible their delivery estimates are and I was told these reviews were "drops of water in an ocean". If that is the case, then there is a constant rainstorm on Ashley Furniture. It took me five additional weeks of waiting past my promised date of delivery before I received my furniture. And I had to call a manager at least once a week just to get the delivery moved up from dates that they kept pushing back. I feel cheated and lied to and it's a disrespectful experience to have to go through that. All I wanted was to be treated like a human. read more

Oh, and the furniture warranty? It's a joke, don't waste your money. Our coffee table which we had replaced because it started PEELING was replaced with yet another, peeling coffee table. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY! Last July I purchased a bed for the house I was buying in August. They told me it was backordered due to covid delays, but since we didn't need it right away; we proceeded with the purchase. We were told that the bed would come into the warehouse by August 24th and that we would be contacted for delivery at that time. That did not happen. When we called in September, we were told we would be contacted for a delivery in October. We did receive a call and were given a window of time in October for the delivery. That morning the status showed delivered, but we did not receive our bed. We called and they said that the bed rail came in not to their satisfaction and would have to be re-ordered. We were told we would hear from them once it had come in. A few weeks later, they scheduled a delivery date again with us, but the next day called to say that again the rail would have to be re-ordered. This went on for months. We had to call for status updates and we did not receive the bed until January. We were told that for our trouble, they would credit the $169.99 delivery fee and give us a $150 store credit. As of today, April 5th, we have still not received the refunded delivery cost. Every time we call, we are told it has been processed but they will process it again... but nothing happens. The bed is great, but you couldn't pay me to shop there again. I don't want a gift card to this lousy place, I want my damn money back! read more
