Only reason gave one star is because it wouldn't let me post without it. Very very unprofessional salesman Thomas failed to inform my sister that is handicapped that all sales are final, she tried out 5 Lift recliner chairs . She later sat on the chair to recline and the recline wasn't how she thought it would be. She asked me to call the store to see if we could exchange the chair , Delia argued with me and said there are absolutely NO returns , I asked for Adell supposedly the Mgr to return my call. Three hours later no call, I called again and asked for him. He was not concerned at all that we were not satisfied with the chair , told me "this isn't Walmart, and we don't sell used furniture. I told him his sales person Thomas failed to tell us that important information about NO returns at the time of sale. His response was "she signed for it". Very unprofessional and did nothing absolutely nothing to resolve this issue . This chair was $775.00. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the elderly and the disabled. I told him I will come to the store to resolve and he said come on and I'll call the police . WOW!!! This is NOT how a customer should be treated ... read more

Terrible location, they lie to you about everything and the staff has no clue what there doing, they talk bad about each other and even keep journals about their co workers wrong doings. The management is a joke (Caesar Rosa) he has no clue how to properly run a store! He even provides you with incorrect information if you ask for the corporate number. This store needs to be restaffed with actual salesman and women who are knowledgeable and forth coming with there costumers! Not to mention the language barrier if you have to ask someone to repeat something more than twice it's not very professional. The whole staff that we dealt with was completely unprofessional I would like to speak to corporate about a illegal credit run but I am unable to get there true information read more

What is the whole point of scheduling an appointment if they do not respect it? I scheduled an appointment the other day I went at 5pm, and when I got there nobody greeted me. I waited until 5:30 and yet nobody. I had to approach somebody for MY APPOINTMENT. I am a paying customer and this was absolutely horrible customer service. I would understand if somebody approached me once I arrived and communicated with me stating they are running behind and will be with me shortly but nothing . I will not be going back to that store and will let others no , this is a terrible place to shop. I do not care if the furniture is nice but when it comes with that service? I rather look and drive somewhere else. Highly disappointed. read more

My experience with Ashley Home Store & Outlet so far is a one star rating. I went to this store on 06/04/20 to purchase a counter table and stool set for a delivery date of 06/11/20. June 11th, delivery guys are in the process of unloading the items and I noticed the the stools are incorrect from what I select at the store. The guys right away made a call to inform whomever of the error. They were advised to go forward and assemble table and someone will followup with me in a day or two regarding a SECOND DELIVERY for my stools. The second delivery on 06/27/20 the same 4 chairs were being unloaded for me. The delivery guys made the call again and now I have a 3rd delivery date. I decided to go back to the store in Broadview to see why this error keeps happening. It's been determined at the time of my sale Luis, salesperson, put the incorrect item # on my sales receipt. Now its been determined the stools ate back ordered until July 28th. Meanwhile I have a table and no stools for my FAMILY to have dinner for at least ANOTHER month. WHICH IS UNACCEPTABLE!! This has been going on since June 4th on a cash purchase. I have been advised b the store to purchase some cheap chairs until then...which means more money out of my pocket and Ashley Home Store & Outlet in Broadview IL suffers no loss in there error!!!! read more

THIS IS THE WORST QUALITY FURNITURE I HAVE EVER SEEN! The furniture began to literally disintegrate after a short 8 months. By a year and a half there were flakes of the furniture all over the house. We called Ashley Furniture MULTIPLE times and demanded that they either fix the issue, refund us, or give us replacement couches...WE HAD THE FULL WARRANTY..and yet they did NOTHING but send us three cushion covers that disintegrated after a few months as well. They would not do anything further without explaining that we would be charged HUNDREDS of dollars. Not to mention every "manager" we spoke to was extremely uncaring and rude. I wouldn't recommend Ashley Furniture to my worst enemy.... Here is a link to photos of our junk furniture from ASHLEY FURNITURE: http://photobucket.com/ripoffashleyfurniture read more

Highly recommend this store! Very professional sale reps and good customer service, I will continue to do business in the near future.

This store is such a rip off! I recently purchased a brand new room set in which they delivered broken and scratched. They have attempted to deliver "new" pieces 3 times already in which they have ALL arrived broken. I called the costumer service line in which they were absolutely RUDE and unhelpful. I then went back to the Ashley store to speak with the manager at this location and she stated she was not able to help and that there was nothing she could do but request that a "special" delivery be made to me for the 4th time. How many broken pieces will they keep delivering me??!?! I spent so much money on my new king bedroom set and is not worth the cheap s***t I received. PLEASE spend your money else where. The Room Place is a little more expensive, but I never ever received damaged furniture from them. If I could give Ashley's 0 stars I would give them -100 of them. Please beware of the cheap stuff they sell you and go else where! Horrible costumer service, lying staff and cheap material!!!! read more

I dont necessarily have a problem with this particular store. The staff there is the only reason they got 3 stars. Everyone was nice and helpful, especially Terkuita and Tommy. My issue is delivery. I called to check on delivery, which goes to like a call center. The lady says, your delivery date is the 12th. I wait, all day, nothing. I call back and the next person says, you have to schedule the delivery. I said yeah, I was told it was the 12th. She said as of 12th you could have called to schedule the delivery, that wasnt the delivery date, um WTF. I was enraged. I scheduled with this lady, the delivery came and it was 2 out of 10 items I purchased. I call back, they start giving me all these random dates of when the pieces come in. Why didnt the person who gave me date, tell me it was a partial order? Who knows. I get a new delivery date, it comes, now its an additional 3 items I ordered and I'm still missing 3. Even after I complained to the new rep that I wasnt told it wasnt a complete order, SHE STILL DIDNT TELL ME THAT THIS ORDER WOULD ALSO BE INCOMPLETE. Now here it is, 2 months after I ordered and I still dont have my furniture and the last part of my furniture doesnt come in until the end of Dec beginning of January. So in all, I ordered furniture and will get 3 or 4 partial deliveries over the course of 3-4 months. read more

I purchased a couch from this store that looked very gray in the store and in pictures. I talked to the sales man over and over again about a gray couch. He told me that it only came in gray, that was the only color. When they delivered the couch, I didn't think to check the color since it only came in one. The couch, in my house, is not gray but brown and I hate it. I asked the store to get the couch and give me store credit, minus delivery so that I could purchase another couch, one that was actually gray from the store, and they refused. I am not asking for a refund, just store credit where I will end up spending more money then I originally spent, Moe was horrible to speak with and instead of trying to help he told me my color perception was off and I should buy some lamps. Can you believe that!!!!!! I was also never told that you could take a pillow home to see the difference in color which is apparently a thing. I talked with the sales man sooooooo long about a gray couch. Update: I got a call about 3 weeks ago saying that a regional manager would call me in 24-48 hours. Well after 3 weeks I decided to call them since that call never came. Sonya was rude! She interrupted me asking if I would want used furniture and if they took it back they couldn't sell it again. Her advice was for me to sell the couch on my own and come back to their store and buy another couch!! Why would I do that if this is the service experience that I'm receiving. Please spend your money somewhere else Moe and Sonya are very rude people to deal with. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This has to be worst store my wife and I have ever purchased furniture from. We bought a chaise and a sleeper. Below is the timeline it took for us to receive some simple couches... April 7th - Couches purchased in-store April 28th - First scheduled delivery date. Chaise arrives fine, sleeper is ruined in transit May 18th - Second scheduled delivery date for sleeper, customer service calls on May 18th (that morning) and says couch is on back order & the warehouse could not deliver May 23 - Third scheduled delivery date for sleeper, customer service calls on May 19th and says couch is on back order & the warehouse could not deliver June 3rd - Fourth delivery date scheduled, delivery guys show up with just the chaise replacement, no sleeper, we call customer service they tell us that the sleeper is at the warehouse but it arrived late the day before and was never put on the truck June 5th - Fifth delivery date scheduled, delivery guys show up with just the chaise replacement, no sleeper, delivery guys say that they were told it was on back order. We call customer service and we're told that it is at the warehouse. They finally deliver later that night with a rip in the sleeper and my wife is not interested in accepting it yet the delivery drivers try yell and swear at her in spanish and must not have realized that I speak spanish. Delivery drivers essentially told my wife to f*** off you F****** B****. Instead of trying to reimburse us some money for the couch, customer service tries to offer us a $50 gift card. We were lied to every time we talked to customer service on the status of our order. I took off multiple days from work to be home for these deliveries and none of them worked out. Do yourself a favor and never purchase something from them. read more

My husband and I purchased what we thought would be a terrific mattress for our new home from the Broadview Ashley store. Now 2 years later, the mattress has huge body impression marks and hurts our backs. When I called Ashley to see about exchanging it, they schedule a tech to come to our house and "take measurements" to determine if we could make good on the warranty. The man who showed up to our home made the following comment: "Your dog must be so wound up because she's so tired of being stuck in this junky old house." We live in Barrington! He also told us that whatever we were told on the phone, we would very unlikely get a new mattress. He then commented that the mattress we purchased was absolutely horrible and that no sales person should have ever sold it to us. Not only was this the rudest thing that has ever been said to us in our own home, but it wasn't helpful with getting a new mattress. Needless to say, I am not only offended, but very disappointed with their "warranty" process. Please do not ever send one of your techs to my home again. read more

We purchase a few items from this place a Bed, mattress, and dinner table with six chairs the charge us the delivery even when we purchase around almost $4000 in products well they delivery the bed and the mattress in about 3 weeks after we purchase those items and about the dinner table and the six chairs took about 3 MONTHS ( no kidding) we try to cancel the order after 2 months but they told us they will send them right away but the table was damage so they just gave us the chairs they took another month and half but they had already send us the bill for those item when we call to cancel the order they told us we could do it but we need to bring everything to the store and what we already paid will be lost . It took about 4 and half months to get all our furniture very disappointed we will never purchase anything from this place again read more

I posted the review below and received a response but for some reason I cannot respond to your email. My customer ID with Ashley is BROWSHE22. There you will find my contact information. I tried simply calling but after being transferred to three different wrong departments I thought I'd better return to yelp. Thank you. On April 19th, I visited Ashley in Broadview. Soon after arriving, a young lady by the name of Jessica L. began helping me and I found some items that I thought were going to do the trick. I purchased a full bedroom set (minus the dresser mirror) and thought that I was purchasing one of their high end items.  The set looked beautiful on the day it was delivered, but has gone downhill ever since. This set has a fabric headboard, side rails, and bench at the end.  The fabric on these pieces, in four months, look absolutely AWFUL.  The fabric is all beaded up and looks like it's many years old versus four months old.  I have absolutely seen nothing like this before with furniture.  We do not even sit against the headboard because we purchased a bed that allows us to raise our heads.  But with the pillows touching the headboard, our legs touching the side rails and items touching the bench it looks absolutely ridiculous given both the cost and the little time we have had this unit.  Beside the horrible fabric, the drawers do not close all the time...they just pop back open.  WEIRD. I wish that was my only problem.  When I came in, I also purchased a leather couch that had been marked down.  When I selected the discounted sofa, I was not told that it could not be delivered.  It wasn't until my paperwork was completed that I was told that.  At that time, I asked if they knew anyone who could assist and Jessica and Store Manager Cesar provided me with someone to call. On the day the couch was to be picked up from Ashley and delivered to me was a crazy weather day that included snow.  Jorge and his crew arrived with the couch, completely uncovered and being snowed on.  They got to my front door and said that the couch would not fit.  They did not bring it in or attempt to bring it inside.  I called Jessica and Jorge called Cesar because he knew him and Cesar agreed to take it back since Jorge insisted that it wouldn't fit. Jorge informed me that I still owed him the full delivery fee even though he never even attempted to get it inside and was going by his eyes I guess.  Well, I'd like to inform you that I purchased a couch from a different company in the exact same size and it's sitting in my living room today so they wasted both my time and money, not to mention that it was an item that I truly wanted! When Jorge returned the couch, I immediately reached out to Jessica to make sure that they would be returning the full value of the couch.  I did that because when I purchased my furniture, Cesar offered to waive my $199 delivery charge if I purchased a Tempur-Pedic bed that I was considering.  Once I agreed, they reflected that amount on the invoice by reducing the price of the couch from $969 to $769.  I wanted to make sure that I would be receiving a credit to my account for $969 + tax because I was still due the $199 that was taken off of my bill once I agreed to purchase the bed.  Jessica told me that she would make sure this happened.  When I did not see it reflected on my bill I began to contact Jessica again.  She eventually stopped returning my messages and I have not received my $199, which I would still like applied to my account. I looked at reviews online and saw two people replying to bad reviews. Instead of posting my bad review, I emailed both KL and Mary. That was 21 days ago today and I have yet to receive a reply from anyone. After spending almost $10,000 at Ashley, I can truly say that this was my WORST PURCHASE EVER! I will never buy from Ashley again!   Comment by Ashley H. of Ashley HomeStore: First, I would like to apologize for the inconvenience we've caused you. I can not imagine how frustrated you must be. I have messaged you directly to obtain more information about the issue. Once I receive this information, I will escalate this matter to an internal team to further investigate. Again, I apologize and look forward to your response. Ashley C. read more

We specifically come back to this location because of Carmen! She knows how to focus on your needs and provides plenty of options to fit your style. Carmen is extremely easy to talk to and you don't feel the salesperson-to-customer dynamic when you're working with her, she really wants you to feel comfortable and excited about the furniture you're buying. In 2016 I purchased a chaise and sectional with the extended 5 year warranty plan. On 8/5/19 I noticed a rip in one of the seat cushions of the sofa. I first contacted the Ashley store and was instructed to call GBS,the warranty company. I submitted a claim as directed which was denied as material was missing from the cover(which I knew because,it is a rip). I then contacted Ashley again and asked how I could purchase the cover. I was quoted a price of $57.00 for 3 covers, and was told that I had to go to the store to process the payment. The representative assured me that all of the information was noted on my account and would be easily accessible by the retail store. On 8/14/19 at 10:00 AM I presented to Ashley furniture to order the cover. The Ashley employee was very helpful ,however she was unable to locate the notes on my account. It took 1 hour for her to obtain the information which was then different then the information I had been given. I was quoted a price of $107.00 for the part. At that time I left the store to contact the corporate office for clarification. I requested to speak with a manager and was connected to a woman who identified herself as Harley, the manager of customer care. She was able to determine I was quoted the wrong price on both occasions and that the correct price for 1 cover was $57.00 and that I would need to again go to the store to order the part. Harley indicated that she would put all of the information in my account. On 8/15/19 at 10:00 I attempted to order the cover. I approached the customer service desk and was greeted by Dalia. She was unable to find the information in my account. She was extremely frustrated as she informed me they were on a "new system". She called the corporate office for guidance and it seemed she was having an difficult time in understanding what she needed to do. In the meant time,my 2 small children who had accompanied me to the store for the second time in as many days were sitting on recliners while they waited. They were never out of my sight. I saw a man(I found out later he was the manager,Tommy) walk in their direction and it appeared he had spoken to them. My older son approached me and said the man had "yelled at them". By this time,30 minutes later,it seemed I was no closer to obtaining the part I needed and I was slightly frustrated. Tommy, the manager approached the desk to assist Dalia with the seemingly impossible task of ordering a part. When he approached, I asked him to not correct my children,I explained that if they were not wanted in the store we would happily leave once the part was ordered. I then asked if I was the first person ever to need to order a replacement part. At this time,Dalia screamed, "yes in fact you are. On this new system yes you are,Congratulations". I was shocked. In 20 years of working for a law enforcement agency dealing with people convicted of heinous crimes, I was never spoken to in that manner and more importantly, I never spoke to any of them in such a disrespectful, manner. This all took place in front of the the manager (Tommy). I calmly explained that I would not tolerate being spoken to like that and I would need the employee reprimanded. Dalia then got up and left her desk. I continued expressing my frustration to the manager while another sales person came to assist. Finally,I was told they had figured out how to order the part at which time Dalia returned to the desk. I was hesitant to continue the transaction with her as she was very hostile. I expressed that to the manager. I was told she was the only one there capable of processing the payment. I then said I would come back another day. At this time, Dalia began verbally assaulting me. Saying I should be patient, she would pay for the cushion, so I could go home and relax, she was combative and I became concerned as I was in the store with my 2 small children. She then, grabbed a tissue from a box, threw the box in my direction and said,I quit, walked away. I hurriedly attempted to exit the store as I was frightened. Tommy informed me that he wold have the cover sent to my home free of charge due to the incident he observed. The following day I contacted the corporate office to verify the cover had been ordered and report the incident. I was told the cover and not been ordered. I spoke with Harley, explained the situation and she assured that she would pass my information along to the DM. At about 5 PM that day I was contacted by a man named Ceaser (manager). I was in the car with my 2 small children and answered the phone hands-free. He told me that I would need to come in to the store to order the part. When I tried to talk,he shouted at me repeatedly finally saying if I came to the store he would call the police. He then hung up on me. My children and I are traumatized. These threats come from people that know where I live. The DM has yet to call. I will never step foot in Ashley again. read more

Let me tell you all about the furniture purchasing experience from hell: The actual in store experience was not bad, though we did have sales reps asking us if we needed help every 5 minutes to the point where we had to avoid them in order to actually discuss what we liked. After our purchase on March 2nd, 2013, we locked in a delivery date of April 20th, 2013. About 1 week earlier, we got the call that they needed to cancel our delivery due to our couch being on "back order." This is a popular term Ashley Furniture likes to use meaning that they cannot do simple math or they cannot successfully manage a supply chain. We were rescheduled for May 5th, 2013. Just a few days before this, they rescheduled again!!!! At this point we were very frustrated. They could not get us a weekend delivery or even a Monday delivery. We settled on May 10th, 2013, at night within a 4 hour window!! At this point I already had to rearrange 2 weekends, and now I had to leave work extra early. Once the movers showed up, they were in a frantic hurry, and could not speak English. I do not have a problem with this, except that they could not tell me that they were missing half my couch! Once they left, I noticed that they set up my couch in the middle of the room without asking where I wanted it, but with my $20 tip in hand they were gone. No one called me to tell me about the "back order" chase that I am now missing and will not be able to get until the first weekend in June, over 3 months from purchase!! How is this possible!! Even though your company failed at every step of the way, there was never a single discount offered, a real explanation other than they obviously screwed up, an offer to speak to management, a chance to return, etc.. You have virtually no service recovery and should be embarrassed. I must admit I haven't furniture shopped in over 12years so walking into Ashley was a bit overwhelming. I went in during the start of a 20% off store wide sale which was great! So many choices, I felt like a kid in a candy store-if only furniture cost the same as candy! Lol Upon entering Sales person Tiffany introduced herself, informed me of the current sale and said "to let her know if she could help". My irritation is when persistent sales people don't leave you alone when you tell them you're browsing and you'll find someone when you need help. Not at Ashely, which made my shopping experience pleasant. I really appreciate Tiffany for going above and beyond to help me shop and choose for living and bedroom furniture. Delivery scheduled in 3days so I'll be writing another review, as this review is about the customer in store experience. read more

They said they would take it all with but instead they just dumped it all in the alley next to my apartment building. Boxes and pallets everywhere!!! And the city of Chicago charges for that. They literally left a mess to be cleaned up. read more
