Part 1: I am shopping around for a breakfast table. It's been years since I've purchased any furniture. I was a little nervous when I walked in. I really don't like aggressive sales people following me around. That is how I remember my last shopping experience. Wow! What a difference at my first stop at Ashley's Furniture store. Jay was not aggressive at all. He allowed me to walk in calmly. He approached me, introduced himself, point out how the store was laid out and left me alone. That helped me head to the correct side and save some time. Thank you, Jay. He was very polite and had answers to all my questions. Staff is now wearing distinctive attire that allowed me to know who was an employee and who was not. I really liked that. This review is part 1 because I am not sure if I will make a final purchase yet. I absolutely enjoyed the shopping around experience at this location. When entering the store I was told by the member of staff "Ping" that I was not allowed to browse for couches. She repeatedly interrogated me of "what project I am working on". I told her I was looking for a new couch for my apartment and browsing their selection. She told me I could not look in the store without her being with me. Zero other customers were subjected to this behaviour (I asked them directly). After being made uncomfortable I left, a few minutes later I returned to approach ping and the rest of the staff and politely asked "why was I told I wasn't allowed to browse the couches when no other customers were". She lied to me infront of the staff and said she did not say that. After trying to lie more she said she saw me and thought I'd be just looking to use the bathroom or waste time. This was blatant discrimination based off of nothing but how I looked and her assumption I could not afford to purchase from there. All of the other staff around her were complicit in this. I said to her that all I wanted was an apology for her discrimination against me and how that made me feel. She refused to do so and turned away from me to hide her name tag. INFESTED FURNITURE. Do not buy from this place We purchased a full bedroom set and dining room set from Ashley in September 2024. Unfortunately, the furniture turned out to be infested with powderpost beetles. Ashley sent a technician to inspect the furniture, and he confirmed the infestation. After multiple calls attempting to resolve the issue, Ashley has refused to replace the affected pieces and has not provided any alternative solution. Very disappointed with both the product quality and customer service. Be careful when purchasing from this store. read more

Beware of this store I purchased $6,000 in furniture. I refused delivery for sofas that did not fit and the store gave us in-store credit to pick another sofa which they gave us the incorrect credit they shorted us by $1,500 which I figured it out after we picked another sofa and we had to pay a difference which did not sit well with me and I went home and did my math. Long story short I cancelled everything and we are still fighting for our money with Corporate because they made drop our dispute and they will refund us. Now we get an email stating they will hold $545 for 45 days per the policy. I am so, frustrated because the policy states refund are 7-10 business days. They are manipulating customers' money. Look at the BBB complaints before you decide to purchase from them. Corporate is no help either. read more

Had the pleasure of working with Muhammed at the waterford lakes store. Muhammed was patient and gave us the time we needed to look around and discuss the many options for our living space. He was extremely knowledgeable and had all of the answers to our questions which was refreshing. He communicated well and even followed up with us to make sure we were satisfied with our delivery date and purchase. I would not reccomend anyone purchasing furniture from this location nor from Ashley. We ordered a couch and waited three weeks for delivery. When it arrived the delivery men threw it off of a truck and broke it! They had to take it back. We waited another week for our couch. This one seemed fine. Today we decided to turn it over to clean and guess what we found. This couch was broken too! The delivery man knew this and didn't tell us. He just hid this from us and hoped we would never know. Horrible experience!! Do not come here. Customer doesn't have any right. They just want you to buy You don't have any options! You can't return a damage item. This has been a nightmare... they are just sending me with different people and nobody takes responsibility of their words. Delivery told me to call the store and the sales manager to return an item. I made a purchase with this company but canceled the order the following day because the item would not fit. It has now been three weeks, and I still have not received my refund. When I contact them, they provide a phone number to call, but the representatives barely speak English, making it very difficult to communicate, when i do speak with someone they keep saying the order is still open but will get closed only to find out days later that is still open again and this is their excuse to not process the refund, I also spoke with the manager the day i cancelled, who appeared to be new and did not seem to know how the refund process works. Overall, this experience has been frustrating, and I am still waiting for my money to be returned. read more

We bought several pieces of furniture back in August . One of the pieces was a mattress, the mattress was very uncomfortable creating lower back pain . We went back to the store and spoke to our sales person, he said according to their policy we needed to wait another 30 days for exchange, we picked another mattress, about a month later they came to our house and took the mattress we were returning. We asked them where the replacement mattress was and they didn't know . Said it was probably gonna be delivered later . They took the mattress, I called the store and told them they left us without a mattress . The delivery team had to go back to our house with the same mattress they took . Costumer service kept calling us giving us dates for the delivery of the new mattress and then calling again to re schedule. At this point our patient ran out and we are still sleeping on the uncomfortable mattress. It has been several months and still no mattress. We called costumer service to cancel the order and for them to refund the amount we had paid on it so far . Costumer Service said they were canceling the order and refunding what we had paid. Then they called us from the store saying that canceling wasn't an option due to some sort of comfort warranty. At this point we don't want to do business with Ashley's furniture any longer . How hard is to replace a mattress?? We want our money back , I want to take my money somewhere else , where they told us it wouldn't be an issue to return a mattress that is UNCOMFORTABLE and giving us back aches every time we get up . Avoid this store and go somewhere else, Bears furniture or Haverty's where we had better experiences. My boyfriend and I have had a terrible experience with Ashley furniture during our recent move. The salesman turned out to be sleazy and told us information that was not correct in order to make a larger sale. We paid for assembly that we didn't receive and still have not been refunded or given any updates on how they will rectify the situation after multiple calls to customer service, to our sales rep, and to the sales rep's manager. We keep receiving an excuse that they recently went through a merger and "haven't even learned our own system." This is the issue when these corporations get too large, the actual people on the floor that you can get a hold of cannot do anything to help you and repeatedly say it's up to corporate, but corporate never responds. We are still fighting to be given a refund or receive any response about the poor delivery, assembly, and lacking customer service. The furniture was not cheap, but it is too large for us to try to return in any capacity, so essentially they are holding our money hostage due to signing the financing contract before delivery and assembly. read more

NEVER EVER AGAIN! I paid good money for a BRAND NEW SECTIONAL and it was delivered to my home DIRTY with the frame completely broken. The sofa looks used! After waiting on hold for 40 minutes and being interrogated as if I caused the damage I was finally told the sofa would be exchanged. Replacement came today AGAIN DIRTY & USED LOOKING!!! My husband sent it back AGAIN. I told myself I would never purchase from Ashley furniture and did it anyways like an idiot. I absolutely hate this company. I've currently been on hold 54 minutes. I would cuss if I could cause this is BS!!!!!! I just want a FULL REFUND AT THIS POINT! Ohhhh and they still left the broken sofa at my home. Do not waste your money on Ashley furniture!!!!!!!! We bought a sectional and it is garbage. A comple waste of $2,000. The cushions and frame gave out within 6 months. There is absolutely no form or support after 1 year. We have back pillows and throw pillows all over the couch to make it tolerable to sit on. I can not recommend to you enough to stay away from this horrible company. We are so disappointed and have to be reminded every single time we sit down on the couch. They're happy to sell, but don't deliver when they're scheduled to and don't accept returns of still boxed merchandise. We wanted counter height barstools and the sales person sold us 2. When delivered, we noticed they were too short to be barstools and called in to see how to return. We were told to take them back to the store in 30 days. 2 weeks later we got to the store with the still boxed merchandise and Jessica at customer service said they would have accepted the return in 72hrs, but not now. That's not what customer service said the day we called. She refused to help us and snarkily offered show us the policy as to why she would not accept our return. So now we have an open case and have to find out our options. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Latest call..terrible! I called the local store and the calls twice changed over to customer services some where in the US. I wanted to buy a king mattress that I was told were on sale in one of their local stores. They never answered Sunday at 12pm, so I will look elsewhere. Their telephone prompts were awful. They had too many prompts for small unrelatable issues that could have been redirected by one person. My viewpoint has changed towards the store..they need less automation and better in person customer service for their phone system. Do not take out any type of financing with the company Acima Leasing, which is located inside Ashley's stores. I bought a sofa worth US$ 768.00, a saleswoman who helped us induced us to finance the purchase with this company called Acima Leasing, all installments were being debited from the bank account, the last one they did not debit, we spoke to the salesperson Patricia at He checked it at the time and received no response. When we went to the Ashley store at the Acima Leasing counter located inside the store, we were informed that as the last installment had not been paid we would have to pay another US$ 1,200.00 in contractual fine, and US$ 970.00 had already been debited from our account, which it would total U$2,170.00 and the value of the sofa was U$768.00. We turned to Ashley's manager who didn't pay any attention, the customer service person at Acima was an unprepared and rude person. Finally, we were robbed by this company Acima Leasing, a dishonest company. Be warned, Ashley doesn't pay the slightest attention to her customers and this company Acima Leasing is a trap. Do NOT order from Ashley Home Store! I ordered a TV stand that was on back order, was told end of May it would arrive. It never did, so I called customer care and they told me that it arrived in April. They sent it to the wrong address. They sent me a new order to the correct address and the box looks like it went through hell and back, the wood was broken in all the corners and all the foam packing inside the box was broken and shredded. Now I have to wait for the Concern Team to look at my case. Absolutely ridiculous. All I want is a refund and to shop some where reliable. read more
