Scott Johnson was amazing- he helped us find what we were looking for and then followed up with us when we returned to purchase our new table and bench. He was very up front and we did not feel "pressured" as we did at other furniture stores. He would help us look around then give us time to sort through our options and have conversations. Scott even did a price match for us, which we really appreciated and ended up saving us a lot of money. He was wonderful and I highly recommend him! This furniture store and entire chain is HORRIBLE. Customer service suck at both corporate and store level. Less than a year ago I purchased bedroom suites for my older teenage sons. Finish is peeling horribly off the footboard and one of the headboards on one bed is broke. Noticed I stated older teenage sons....clearly not the age of playing on the beds....the repair department finally came to my home after several promises to come. Upon arrival the repair guy wasn't easily identifiable(no name tag/i.d.). Spent less than five minutes in my home taking pictures and asked if my animals(cats) damaged the the finish on the beds. The bedroom suites are still under the one year warranty in addition to purchasing an extended warranty. The extended warranty will not begin until after the manufacturers warranty has ended. Please for the sake of your sanity do not shop at this chain of stores. They stores DONOT back the merchandise it sells....Needless to say I have filed complaints with both Better Business Bureau and the Attorneys Generals Office. If there was a way to give negative 5 stars...I would. I really wish I had of done my research on this store before making a purchase. read more

What an awful company to do business with! I ordered a sectional and coffee tables. When they were delivered the coffee table was missing pieces and were useless. I told the delivery driver (who was very nice) and he said just go ahead and sign and corporate will take care of it. I made him a note that the tables were missing pieces before signed anything. I never heard anything or gotten anything. I've been trying to contact them on many occasions and they just keep giving me the runaround. I bought an Ashley Sleep mattress and it was way too soft for me and caused me horrible back pain and possibly the salesman's fault for encouraging me to buy it. However, they gave me a warranty on the mattress and I went in and got a new mattress because of the warranty. The manager Mark helped me out and was the reason I was able to trade in my unsatisfactory mattress. So I am satisfied with the service at this O'Fallon store. read more

They are rude, never return phone calls and are quick to point fingers at another part of the company. There is NO structure...apparently no owners, not even a corp. office?? The number that the store gives you for their "corp. office" 866-787-7930 - is no good. The folks their claim they have no control or access to Ofallon, MO orders. They point back to 314-238-1033, this is a joke too - NO ONE ANSWERS and NO ONE CALLS BACK. Can never get anywhere to get some furniture serviced for the past 6 months...just a bunch of circles. I have previous ordered some items from Ashley's before. The couch and chairs are nice but a little pricey for the quality of furniture, especially if you have kids. I was there yesterday with my sister and the salesmen kept following us around to the point we were very creped out and left the store. I told the three men that were following us, we were looking and I would come find them if I needed help. They obviously didn't know what that meant. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS STORE!!! I spent $2500 for an entire bedroom set for my 22 yr old daughter who just moved to the area. Within one month, the frame around one of the dresser drawers cracked in half. SHE DID NOT BREAK IT!! I called the store who told me I should talk to the Ashley Consumer Center who based on one photograph of the break determined that the consumer (my daughter) broke it. If could give a negative 5 I would. I purchased a buffet and end table on October 9. I was told to put on my visa, because cash (aka check) would take longer to deliver. I wanted to pick up the items myself by the salesman stated it is easier to deliver, even though it cost me!! Delivery was scheduled for October 18 between 2:30 and 5. I received emails confirming delivery dates and times. No problems right? WRONG!!! Day of delivery, the gentlemen comes into my house says, I have your buffet...I said and my end table....He stated, No its on back order. WHAT?!?!? At no time in nine days did anyone from this store or corporate call to say the table is on backorder. He then called the order in to CS and left it on speaker phone. The rep states to him " yeah the table is here, it just didnt get on the truck for whatever reason." I then spoke to the rep stating why didnt someone call stating an item was left at the warehouse, she stated they dont do that. I asked to schedule the delivery of the end table. The rep states she cant because the account is locked due to furniture being delivered. WHAT?!?! It goes downhill from there, the next day (Wednesday) they call to schedule a deliver of the end table. I state that I cannot rearrange my work schedule again and I need it to be delivered this Saturday. I was told the next Saturday available is November 5!!! YOU SCREWED UP THE DELIVERY AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT?!?!? So I stated give me the next delivery date which is this Friday. So I once again have to rearrange my work schedule to have my end table delivered. Not to mention the CS rep on both calls basically called me a liar stating they had tried to call and say the table was back ordered (Funny enough it wasn't back ordered, they forgot to put it on the truck!!). There is no call received on my phone, my husbands phone or the house phone. The last rep stated if I wanted my table then I would have to deal with their dates!!! Completely unacceptable!!! This is the reason why I wanted to pick up the furniture myself and not pay a ridiculous delivery charge. We love our furniture! Our entire experience was amazing. The team at the store worked with us to find just the right combination of items. They were moving furniture around the store so that we could see it all together - and this was on a Sunday night at closing time. Talk about going above and beyond! The communication between purchase and delivery was thorough and complete. The two gentlemen who delivered our furniture were friendly and hardworking. Incredibly disappointed in Ashley Furniture's terrible customer service. We ordered a couch back in October from the store in O'Fallon, MO, and were told it would take 10-20 days. After multiple delays (which they didn't call to tell us about, we only found out upon us calling them), the couch finally came in early December - long after we had been told to expect it. However, it wasn't the couch we ordered. We went to the store to discuss, and the manager didn't give us the time of day - just told us someone from customer service would be with us and walked away. No apology, no going above and beyond to make things right. The customer service lady hashed it out, but told us we wouldn't get our new couch until the end of January - 3 months after we ordered it. We had planned on having the couch available for several gatherings at our house based on the initial timeline we had been given. We wrote a note to corporate customer service to express our frustration, and we never heard anything back from them. Well, we just received another call from Ashley - our couch, which was set for delivery this coming Tuesday, is not going to be available. Again, no apology, no offer of reimbursement or a discount, just a complete lack of any customer service. I am immensely frustrated - I know mistakes happen, but I expect a company to bend over backwards to try to make it right. I expect a major discount on this couch, or Ashley has lost me as a customer for life - as well as my family and friends. read more

We finally received our chair on January 9, 2015. I am very disappointed that the chair is shoddily made and very uncomfortable. We talked to Ahsley's customer service rep, Sharon Harris, and she told us that our sale is final. At no time were we ever told that. We want our chair picked up and we want a full refund. She told us that their would be a 20% restocking charge. Since they had our money for almost 5 months, accruing interest, we believe we should not have to pay a restocking fee for such a below standard piece of furniture. Terrible process when we bought Recliner. Salesman did not know process and it took FOREVER - one hour total in the store!!!! Delivery process was even longer and then wanted to deliver between 3-6pm on a Saturday after waiting two weeks for it. Don't think so. We purchased furniture from Ashley and had a great experience. We were able to freely browse, while an associate would check in with us every now and then without hovering. I loved the furniture so much! I was a little disappointed that it would take 4 weeks before it was ready to pick up as it was a new set; however, the manager, Angelo did everything in his power to make sure that we left happy. I purchased a 4-piece sectional in January 2016. Less than 1 year from the purchase date, 5 of the 6 seat cushions have pilled and stretched, causing large wrinkles in the seats. I contacted the business who stated the issue would be covered under the $199 extended warranty plan I purchased at the store. I contacted the warranty company who stated I didn't have an extended warranty. It wasn't until I emailed them a copy of my warranty that they acknowledged they messed up and I did indeed have one; however, stated the issue was a manufacturer defect and they would not cover the damages. They referred me back to the store. I contacted the manager at the store (Kelly Ramirez) who stated she would review the issue and get back to me. Here is the kicker... I have a family member who purchased the exact same sectional and had the exact same issue. My family member contacted the store and received all new cushions. When I contacted the store manager she said she saw that my family member had the same issue and received new cushions and was confused as to why I wasn't offered new cushions as well. 1 month later, after 8 unreturned phone calls and 4 unanswered emails to the manager I contacted the 800 number for Ashley Homestore and spoke to an agent who once again stated the issues are normal wear and tear and they would not fix the cushions, nor would my extended warranty cover them. I asked to speak to a manager. He was extremely rude. He told me his agents had already reviewed my case and determined it would not be fixed. I asked him to review my case and offered to email him my photos (which show obvious product defects); however, he said he did not need to see them. He refused to provide me with a list of items that would be covered under the warranty. When I asked to speak to his manager he told me his managers name was Mark Hooker; however, I would not be allowed to speak to him. I asked him for an email for Mark Hooker and he said that I was not allowed to speak or contact him under any circumstances. On March 13th, 2017 (over a month and a half of trying to get anyone to assist me) I called the store and finally got an assistant manager at the store to communicate with me via email (Derek Payne). He was very helpful. He stated he would forward my emails to Kelly Ramirez and Mark Hooker and have someone reach out to me that day. That never happened. On March 15th, 2017, I emailed Derek again to say no one had contacted me. He apologized and said he would contact them that day and have them call me. That never happened. I am left with a business who sold me merchandise that has obvious manufacturer defects. An extended warranty that won't cover the damages. A store manager who refuses to call or respond to my texts, an example identical in nature wherein Ashley Furniture Homestore replaced the cushions and a customer service hotline that refuses to even review the case or allow me to speak to a manager. Essentially, I have been road blocked with no other option but to file complaints and begin litigation if necessary. The issue should be very easy to resolve. The cushions appear to have zippered covers. It can't cost that much for the manufacturer to send new cushion covers. read more

We purchased a sectional on February 26th, 2018. We had spoken to Amy on the phone who told us that the President's Sale was extended through the aforementioned sale date. We were met by Amanda as we walked into Ashley's O'Fallon store. She was very kind and asked if she could assist us in what we were looking for, she didn't hover, she was pleasant. She took care of us until Amy came in. Amy was equally so kind and both were knowledgeable about the sectionals as we were looking. We were in the store for quite some time. They did not hover but were accessible at any time we had questions. We met Angelo who came over after we had left and came back. I cannot say enough positive words about these three who assisted us. We purchased the sectional, set up the delivery date that day. They accommodated our schedule. The delivery was scheduled for the 17th of March. We were called two days before to give us the window of delivery time. Delivery went smoothly. The two gentlemen who delivered did a great job. The whole experience has been an exceptional one. We love the sectional and are confident, in the event any issues were to arise, that Ashley Furniture and Amanda, Amy and Angelo will be of assistance to us. We have purchased in the past furniture for our dining room, a complete master bedroom set. We have been pleased with all of the furniture. Hopefully, our sectional will serve to be just as good a piece of furniture as the rest. read more

Although Ashley Furniture Home Store has a wide variety of furniture. They do not follow through with what they say. We were told that our sofa was not in stock and that it would take 2 weeks. The day it was suppose to be in, it wasn't when I complained, I was told that they would deliver it to us in 4 days. When I called the 4th day, because they did not call me with a delivery time. They told me it would be another 2 weeks. They refuse to give us a refund "you can only have in store credit" for what furniture that never comes! I will never order from Ashley furniture again. The integrity of their word is non-existent. Do not believe them when they say it will be here in 2 weeks, that is for sure. So far we are looking at 5 weeks with out living room furniture read more

So over the years, we have bought a few pieces of furniture from Ashley. My wife always likes their designs. But I have made my last purchase. I confirmed its under new ownership since the last time I bought there. If I treated customers this way, I'd be unemployed! So here's the deal. Ordered a new mattress and tv stand. Had to wait a week to get it. And get this, they try to pin you into buying delivery on EVERYTHING. Saying they only way to pickup is the in warehouse in Mehlville (I've picked up furniture at the OFallon store many times before). Its a scam to charge you for delivery. Then as we are about to finish the deal, I'm asked to sign a paper that says there's a 10% restocking fee. Folks, I've dealt with many furniture stores over the years that understand that you might get a piece of furniture that just doesn't work for your room once you get it home. Not the case with these guys I guess. And I WOULD return my entertainment stand if I weren't going to get a restock charge. What I saw in the showroom was a nicely assembled piece of furniture. What I picked up at the warehouse was a 150 pound box that was more difficult to assemble than anything I could've bought at Ikea. In fact I probably could've bought something at Ikea for half the price and had the same quality. I'm left with 6-7 bolts, because the holes don't line up. Watch carefully folks, it may look good, but its likely difficult to assemble. And the minute you buy, they have you handcuffed. If you make a return you'll loose $60-100 depending on your purchase. And they won't extend you the courtesy of putting a few boxes on a truck for you to pickup in your neighborhood store. I have completed this buying experience feeling like I've done business with a company that is only out for my money, and could care less about what is convenient for me, or what it means to provide good customer service. Way to go Ashley. You've made me feel so unappreciated as a customer. I can even tell by the employees that I talked to that the new owner must be a jerk. I'll take my business to Rothman next time. I went in just to look around for a new mattress, they were having a one day sale. The sales person (Mary White) was very nice and not pushy. I told her I was looking for a firm mattress in the $450-500 range. She showed me a few (out of my price range) and then went to get someone that knew more about mattresses. She came back and told me there was one but on the other side of the store. We walked over and I liked it but wasn't sure. I ended up buying it and I love the bed. It happened that I got a free box spring, which made my purchase that much better. So I got a mattress and box springs for $577. They only thing I wish I could have done was pick up my purchase at the store instead of having it delivered. read more

Ordered my furniture 4 weeks ago, was told everything in stock, when I got home they called and said nothing in stock after 2 weeks 1 chair was delivered still waiting on balance of furniture, along with the furniture there was 2 pillows that were special ordered. I called yesterday to check on them and they told me to give it more time, what a coincidence today the main office called and said they just received an order for 2 pillows and they would process it, thought that was taken care of 4 weeks ago??????? Their delivery charge is $249.00 outrageous will never buy furniture from them again if there was anyway possible I would cancel the whole order. read more

Still experiencing back pain which is leading to headaches for A MATTRESS WE RECEIVED THAT WAS NOT LIKE THE MATTRESS WE LAID ON IN THE STORE. Ashley HomeStore sent a tech out to do a "visual inspection" of the bed to see if it was defective (it took 3 weeks to schedule). This is a defect that cannot be seen. Our bed sinks nearly 2 inches when laid on and the bed we laid on in the store doesn't sink at all. We took pictures of both, sent them to the home office, and they still will not say the mattress is defective because you cannot visually see dips in the mattress. Ashley's one and only method of comparison for all products fails to even evaluate the claim we are making. WE DID NOT RECEIVE THE SAME QUALITY BED THAT WE LAID ON IN THE STORE. Now onto the BBB and fighting the credit card company so as to not have to pay for this. WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING.... read more

This is a ZERO star for me... Very disappointed, very dissatisfied and was not a happy camper. Black Friday, purchased a dining room set, was in stock and was promised to be delivered 12/12. Received a phone call day before and said the table was a back order..hmm? I called and was asked if I wanted a partial delivery. I was given 12-3 time. Passed 3 pm on Friday, I called again, said they will call 30 min prior of delivery. It was after 3 and my husband had to leave and I have leave work. Came home, called again and I was told that they didn't deliver because I didn't want the partial delivery. Told them i didn't say that. In the mean time, table was still back ordered and should be ready by the end of the day Friday.to make the long story short. I was pretty much given the run around, wasted numerous times on the phone waiting, no resolution. No straight answer. Poor communication between the store and the manufacturer, just piss poor customer service and was not given a straight answer about anything. One rep. Told me the chairs were delivered. I laughed and I said I never got them. I'm sure when the person got it must be happy. I canceled the order eventually. Just very disappointed because they really have some nice furniture. Poor customer service from the Sales Manager and from the customer service 800#. Purchased a dining table set on May 29th with delivery set for July 8th. Sold my existing table given the expectation I had of a July 8th delivery. Found out on July 5th that delivery would not happen until August 30th which is 3 months after my ourchase! Called the store where a rep told me to come in and talk to the manager about purchasing the floor model. Drive to the store where the manager then tells me this is not possible. Manager never owned the issue and passed the buck to corporate policies and the manufacturer. Manager told me she would call me back that night or early next morning. Never called. Next afternoon I called and spoke with a different rep who told me the manager Jerry was busy. Offered a 10% credit from the manufacturer. Asked for delivery to be waived and was told no because the issue was not their fault. No good customer service organization ever says this to a customer! We're waiting for the table because it works with our decor but will never purchase from Ashley again and will never recommend to friends or family. A little ownership and small delivery credit would have gone a long way to make a bad situation better and kept me from being a one time customer read more

I would leave a zero but that's not an option. Do not buy furniture from Ashley furniture! They sell cheaply made furniture! Ashley sends the piece you need repaired then send a third party to come fix it. Ashley then sends the wrong piece to be repaired so now it's taking another 2-3 weeks. The guy that came to fix it screwed something totally different on the furniture. When I call customer service they are no help and you get the run around! I call the store in O'Fallon and speak with the manager he's no help and says it's of his hands. The piece of furniture that's sitting in my living room is a joke! I still owe money on my furniture and I'm within the first year and have had more problems with Ashley furniture! This is our second problem with them. We have already turned to the BBB! ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE of OFALLON MO -YUKKKK !!! Beware of the scandalous salesperson Rebecca and Assistant Manager Angelo Blake! I went into the furniture store on Labor Day weekend 2016, and to make a long story short, I did not receive my furniture until the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, 2016! The manager of the store, that sneaky snake Kelly Ramirez, was the worse. She had me believing she was going to help me, called me, took down all my information, went over what I had purchased. sent pictures, she even gave a sincere fake apology, but never followed thru. It took me writing a complaint email to the main corporate office, which turned the complaint over to the district office, and it was the district office that made sure I received my furniture finally over two months later. The O'Fallon store knew about the problems I was having with the partial deliveries, how I was getting the run around trying to get all of my furniture delivered to me at once, but they did nothing except basically try to lead me into believing they were sincere and were doing what they could on their end to speed up the process. Even the delivery people were more understanding and helpful than the management of O'Fallon Ashley Furniture Store. Past Yelp post indicate this isn't the first time this location has been involved in this type of confusion and offered little or no help to the customer. Consumer BEWARE! read more

We had a great experience in the store. The associates at both of our local Ashley stores were professional, informative, helpful and not pushy. I love our couch! The leather is soft and durable. The only issue we had revolves around a piece of our sectional that they told us upfront was on back order. I accepted that and we continued with our purchase. After waiting 2 weeks for delivery, we are told a different part is on back order. This time they are missing the wedge portion, which is really important in connecting a sectional. We were told it wouldn't be in until early November when we purchased this over Labor Day Weekend. They have since scheduled delivery for mid October but I'm still not pleased that they didn't seem to care that we were mislead and inconvenienced. My husband and I were screwed over by Ashley Home Store in O'Fallon MO! We purchased a curio cabinet and were told we had to pick it up at their South Co warehouse. When we got there, no curio cabinet! The rep there said she would arrange for a free delivery due to our inconvenience. My husband took the day off from work to wait for the "delivery". In the meantime, we received confirmations of the pending delivery, etc. Guess What, NO DELIVERY! We went into the O'Fallon store and was told that the cabinet COULD have been taken home the day of the purchase, that the piece was available in the O'Fallon store! Also found out that there is no way it would have been delivered because this is considered a "accessory" item, and they " never deliver accessory items." So I have no curio cabinet (they said I would have to take the DEFECTIVE floor model)! And I have to wait 3 weeks to get a check from their corporate office in Canada! We paid CASH, and I was told they didn't keep cash in their office! Now we have to wait 3 weeks for a check to be sent from Canada! But don't worry, I was told they won't charge us a "RESTOCKING FEE" for the cancellation! We will NEVER purchase anything else from these CLOWNS! read more
