This store has a horribly rude manager Viola. Instead of trying to make a sale, she's rather be rude and walk off when being asked questions. My husband had talked to two sales people earlier today and they had told him we could buy an end table that was discontinued from the show room. We left to run some errands and when we came back, our original sales person was busy and the manager "helped" my husband by telling him that "no, he couldn't buy it without buying the coffee table". Would give zero stars if possible. We ordered a desk and received no communication for weeks until the night before it was supposed to be delivered. No one called or showed up when delivery was supposed to occur. Had to call and find out it was damaged and wouldn't be in for weeks now. They will not give refunds only store credits. We have had to make every effort in contacting them. The only time they have called us was to set up delivery which they didn't show up for. Do not buy from here! I wouldn't even bother going in. Sadly the people here, including managers, are not afraid to lie to make some extra money. We were lied to many times by them. They can say whatever they want to make a sale, because their words are not in writing they'll deny whatever they promised and will not write down what they promise either. We bought a couch that we were told they had tons of in stock! Well after about a week we tried calling them to get our co formation of delivery and they finally told us they actually didn't have it in stock and wouldn't give us back our money (Vey similar stories to MANY in here, sadly). This company is lying to their customers about delivery to make a sale and get them to sign contracts. Once you do, they tell you it will take several months longer and call customer service. If you call customer service they will do nothing for you and lie to you. I understand about the delay that they caused by taking orders when they couldn't make furniture, but they shouldn't be scamming people now. I went to the store and was greeted like a fresh steak in the lion cage. I'm assuming they work off commission. I asked for time and space to look around and it was granted. Apparently I had looked long enough for the salespersons liking because I was confronted once again. I was patient and not rude. She asked what I was looking for and I explained to her what I needed. After about an hour and digging of my own on the web we finally found the right piece. And I was going to pay for it. Then I asked where can I pick it up. I have a truck. I'm more than capable of moving the piece. I didn't need to have it delivered or wanted to wait for it to be delivered. She told me it was store policy for the piece to be delivered. Ok I said, so it's free? No it's gunna cost another $100 to have it delivered. That pissed me off and on principle alone I almost didn't buy it. But I told her that I wasn't paying for delivery and she wanted to see if they could get rid of the charge. I allowed her to find out and she came back and said they could do $49.99. I said no I'm fixing to walk out of here. So one more time she went to plead to her manager to low the amount and then came back and said $29.99. I figured ok fine. She seemed nice and looked as if she need the sale so I did it. Four days later I still haven't heard from the store on when my piece is going to be delivered They have one more day and then I'm canceling my order. Not at all happy with the store in Midland have been lied to multiple times I've gone in to purchase furniture. I keep going back because I love the furniture and keep thinking my experience will get better but it only keeps getting worse. The sells people lie just to get your business, and the customer service is the worse. You can never get ahold of them. I purchased a dresser and within the first week the handle broke off one of the drawers and I tried calling customer service multiple times stayed on the phone for more than an hour and always got disconnected. Here I am more than a year later and still have a broken drawer handle. I've even gone to the store and they wouldn't do anything they just said they would email them and I still haven't gotten an email back. Purchased whole bedroom set from them and a king mattress and was told I didn't have to buy the box springs from there. So bought them from somewhere else. So less than a year later my mattress started sagging. So went back to ashleys and told them. They informed me that since I didn't buy the box springs from them that voided my warranty on my mattress! Well shouldn't this have been something they told you before they sold you the damn thing! Bunch of crooks!! I was so mad! So I called Seally! They said that it does not void your warranty Ashleys just doesn't want to do the paper work on your warranty!! I was so pissed!!!! So seally! Called ashleys and had them send someone to look at my mattress! Well when ashleys came out they looked at it and the guy said yes it is sagging but ashleys won't do anything about it unless it's sagging more than 2 inches!! Hell it was sagging a whole inch in less than 1 year! They are a bunch of crooks! They do not value their customers! To make matters worse I had already ordered a sectional before I had called them about my mattress I had been waiting on this more than a month already! Well they delivered it today! Well when they delivered it we told them just to leave it in the middle of the room we had to move our big entertainment center before we could even make it fit in our living room. So we didn't even put it together. Well when they left we noticed we were missing the center piece of the sectional. So I tried calling back the driver. He would just let the phone ring and ring. So I had my husband try! He kept calling and calling. It did the same thing! Then he finally blocked our number! The fuck! So we called the lady that sold us the furniture she said we could call her anytime she would help us out in any way! That she was the best salesman there! That was a lie! She's the one that lied to us about our mattress having no warranty she's a crook don't ever shop here!! We've spent thousands of dollars here and they don't care about their customers!! I ordered a dining room set and extra bar stools on 10/24/20 and just now received it today, 2/1/21. I was told that I could easily have it by the date I said I needed it, which was 12/9/20. They actually said I would have it before then. When I called, I told them any later was unacceptable and that I would have NEVER ordered it knowing it would take this long. I would have gladly went across town and get the one I really wanted. When going into the store to ask about it, they were so rude as was customer service after being on hold for over 30 minutes. I told them I want a refund, which they said I was not allowed and would have someone contact me...which I am still waiting on. This was the worst experience ever. After finding the recliners we wanted - we purchased them in the store in full. Only to be told the recliners would not be delivered until 3-6 weeks later. After a 3 week call to them to find out an update of delivery time, I was told to check back in 6 weeks, with no explanation. Then I call after 6 weeks and was told it was going to be another month, again with no explanation as to why I had to wait so long. So I purchased the recliners in the store on February 10th and they did not arrive until April 13th. That is 62 days. They also did not call before they delivered them. Good thing someone was home at the time. Then they said after all that, if we give them a 5 rating they will give me $75 gift card. That is BRIBERY! I will never buy anything there again. read more

Went in to browse as we were remodeling our house. We went way in advace to get an idea of living room furniture to choose paint colors and match to our flooring. When a customer walks in and tell the salesman they are only there to look and not make any purchases that day, it would be smart to let them look and not follow them like a Cheetah sneeking through the tall grass following a gazelle. The sales staff stays at an uncomfortable distance even though we were just looking. It seemed like what we wanted from them was out of the question. I will probably never go back to any of their stores. I made comments to my family about it loud enough for the salesman to hear and it didnt seem to matter. I was visibly aggravated by them following us and it didnt seem to matter to him so we just left and eventually went to their competitor to buy our furniture and have never been happier. read more

Prepare to wait 5+ months for your furniture. I thought this would just be a 1 time thing, like maybe I bought furniture in a bad part of the season, I originally bought all my furniture for my house on July 1st of 2019. It wasn't until mid September they even began to call me to schedule delivery. Once finally delivered, the leather couch I bought had punctures in the leather from poor shipping and I had to reject parts of it and wait another month for the rest of the couch, they also built the couch wrong on the base there was a huge gap between seats and the delivery guys had to disassemble and reassemble it, the king bed I got delivered was built wrong in lubbock and they couldn't put it together for over an hour before I suggested they took it apart and tried assembling it different. Now there are permanent drill holes is the wrong spots of my bed frame. I then went back on January 15th 2020 thinking things would be different because maybe that summer rush is over, and now its even worse! I ordered a decorative mirror and a bench seat for the foot of my bed on January 15th and I finally called today march 7th after never hearing back from them, and they said they wont be ready until EARLY MAY. Wow. 5 months to get a piece of furniture. I can't even believe it. Never again Ashley furniture. Never again. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I have purchased from Ashley before and never experienced this lack of Customer Service!! A deliver date should not be a hard task to tell someone. Apparently it is and it is also way too much to ask for a phone call- we called every day since 6/7 to get a deliver date as no one at the store could tell us and advise we would be called, over and over and over. Esmerelda in the CS department is a Joke. Spoke with her on Friday, June 10, 2016. She did finally give a date of the later part of JULY and when requested to cancel as this was never explained she said she would escalate and personally call me by Monday... GUESS What???? No CALL!!!! that's right! I am on hold right this minute waiting to speak to another person as apparently the manufacture moved up the time, but I was yet again never called as promised. 25% is what they want for furniture I will never receive. Shame on you ASHLEY furniture!! You are the ones that cannot call a customer. You are the ones that are not upholding your part of the deal. And all the sudden, my furniture is going to arrive within a week!!! WOW! Guess you have to spend hours on the phone with people giving you the run around and speak with the "President" residing out of the Lubbock, TX office for anything to happen. I will never step foot in an Ashley Furniture store and I will make sure everyone knows Buyer Beware! Never again. I purchased a couch and bed from this store and will never bother with that mistake again. My bed showed up in a timely manner....my couch thrust me into a Kafka-esque world where I discovered that when something goes wrong no one at Ashley Furniture will take responsibility or even admit that there was ever a mistake. I was told that my couch would take at least a few weeks to arrive, but nearing week six I was getting antsy. I had been busy, starting my own business, new job. So I wasn't too worried. Then I called. I learned, to my surprise, that no one had heard of my order. And I got put on hold. And hold. And transferred. A young man let me know that my couch had not only arrived, but been delivered. To someone? Not me. Luckily they had the identical couch in Midland and would be happy to send it over Saturday. Great! Friday comes around and I get a call from a girl thanking for my recent purchase, the day before, of a new couch. I let her know that it wasn't a recent purchase and she seems confused. They had utterly lost my order, deleted it entirely and made it new. Apparently Ashley had thought our contract was a joke and the several hundred dollars they took from me were presents and bonuses. Either way it was finally showing up Saturday! I own my own business. I get emergencies and I get busy. Friday night I wound up learning that I had a great deal of work coming up suddenly on Saturday. No problem, Ashley delivered my bed before 8 am before, they'd have the same great service today. Wrong. When I called I discovered that I had been moved down the delivery chain progressively till I was in 5th place. A delivery time of 2 in the afternoon. Perhaps the guy who's couch you lost should be sooner than last? Some unhelpful airhead on the phone continually told me there was no problem and that my couch was being delivered on time and they had been checking on it every week. That didn't explain why my couch wasn't going to be delivered until I called and my order was lost so she made up a story about it being a computer error. Then she said it wasn't their fault, the computers. Of course I helpfully pointed out that it was THEIR computers and someone should have been paying attention. Besides, I thought they were checking on my order every week? It's almost like she was making up stories. In the end no one took responsibility for my couch and now that it still isn't here have threatened to keep 25% should I cancel my order. We'll see. After all my contract is for a couch I ordered in October. They claim I ordered it in November now. I suspect the contract I signed for a couch that never arrived will hold the real weight. When I called to speak to my saleswoman, Debra, who if you do shop there I highly recommend (she's great), I was told quite literally "No". Never order from here. When something goes wrong, and it will, you can expect them to lie to you, refuse to apologize or take responsibility, and threaten you for their mistakes. UPDATE: When my couch was finally delivered at 3:30 I learned I had been moved to next to last on the delivery chain. From third delivery to fifth to next to last. Great service. read more

They will sell you the moon and when it takes 8 weeks for your furniture to be delivered they will not answer their phones. Do not get any of their financing. It's a con, they tell you 12 months no interest. There is a fine print, its 12 months no interest if paid in full. If not you will be charged the accrued interest for 12 months. We purchased a dining table and chairs. It took one month for delivery and when they delivered, one chair had a deep gouge and the edge of the table was broken. They took everything back and called the store and I spoke to "customer service". I was told that they would call me back that evening to schedule a new delivery if it was in stock or the next day if it had to be reordered. No one called the next day. The following day I called Ashley customer service. I was told it had been ordered and would be delivered on Friday. That was 3 weeks ago and no one has ever called and no table. Finally I was tired of waiting and lack of communication and went back to the store and asked for a refund. They refused to give us a refund and could not tell us why it hadn't been delivered. Before any one buys from this company, please read about our experience: We went to the Ashley Furniture store in Midland, Texas on Labor Day looking for a sectional couch and cabinet for our home. We were really excited to say the least but all that changed within the few weeks after purchase. When we got to the store, we were greeted by Shawn (Floor Salesman) whom we informed that we were just looking around and have not made up our minds since we just walked into the store. As we walked the showroom, we kept seeing Shawn peeking around corners and following us the entire time. This made my wife very uncomfortable and started making the showroom feel like a used car lot. Once we finished looking around and decided on what we are interested in, we approached Shawn about the items we were wanting, but had some concerns. One, the couch we were wanting was showing a price on the floor at $1275.00 but on the website, it was listed for $879.00. He said that was odd, but they would honor the website price. The other item, a rustic wine cabinet had no price on it and he came back with a price of $1230.00, but the website stated it was $750.00. He apologized and said he would honor the website price as well. This was a step in a good direction and we decided to go ahead and start the purchase process. We told Shawn that we had Ashley Credit through Synchrony Bank and we would be using that as a form of payment and he said that his manager had to verify that the account was good. His manager asked for the credit card and disappeared into his office and came back out about 5 minutes later saying that it was good. This struck me as odd, but I did not think anything of it at the time. (The reason he took the credit card is explained further below). When the paperwork was finalized, Shawn came back and stated that if we bought more we could get the 5 years no interest promotion going on. I told him that we were under the understanding that the 5 years no interest was part of the deal and he said that they had a meeting in the morning and were instructed that nothing under $3000 could be sold using that promotion. I asked to see it in writing and he said it was verbal from the management at the store. I showed him the flyer and it did not state a minimum on interest free purchase and he said that does not matter, it is up to management. If I wanted to buy another piece, then he could see what he could do, but not on what I was getting at the moment. At that time, my wife and I decided not to go forth with the purchase and go to Rooms To Go next door since they had the same couch there for $889.00 and offered the 5 years no interest, but they did not have the cabinet, since it was unique to Ashley Furniture. Shawn told us to hold on and he would talk to his manager, the same one who took our Ashley Credit Card into his office earlier. He came back and offered us 36 months no interest on the purchase and we agreed. Once all the paperwork was done, he had us start to sign and explained that since the paperwork was completed in the system, if we changed our mind now, it would cost us over $400 as a restocking fee. This I know was false because we had not signed anything, but this final "tactic" really did not matter at the time. He also stated that the furniture was in stock in Lubbock, TX and would be delivered within a week. Two weeks later, we get a letter in the mail from Synchrony Bank telling us that our "request for credit line increase" could not be approved for the amount that we "requested", because of banking restrictions. First off, we did not request an increase and it showed the request was done on the day we were shopping for furniture at Ashley Furniture. This made me very upset for the fact that the Manager of the Midland, Texas store requested an increase to our credit line without our approval and now it shows up as an inquiry on our credit report as a "hard inquiry". We called the Ashley store in Midland and after a lengthy conversation with the manager, his final words to my wife were "What do you want me to do? You cannot prove I did that." The furniture finally arrived at our home about 3 weeks later. The couch was in good condition, but the wine cabinet was damaged and put together incorrectly by the Assembly Team in Lubbock according to the driver of the delivery vehicle. I took pictures of the cabinet while it was still on the truck and refused delivery of the cabinet since it was damaged. The assistant to the driver of the delivery vehicle state to me that if I do not take the cabinet now, I would be waiting for LONG time for another, so it was in my best interest to take it now. Ashley's customer service is absolutely horrible. The furniture I had delivered to my home was half put together. My husband had to complete the job that the delivery team was supposed to have done themselves. I called the customer service office that same day and was told someone would return the next day to finish what was left undone. The next day rolled around no one called or came. I then went into the Midland store demanding my delivery fees back since my husband put the rest of it together and the best I recieved was in store credit. The knobs to our hutch were left off as well. When trying to get the issue resolved I talked to 3 different people before anyone was HALF way appologetic and eager to fix the problem! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS LOCATION! You can use the location as a gallery to try furniture out but then ORDER ONLINE. Why because online the delivery times are better, the customer service is better, and the return policy is better with the exact same product. Below is my experience: I spoke with the Midland store manager Tyler who explain the reason to order through him instead of online is the delivery times (2-4 weeks) would be faster and customer service would be better. The facts have proven him wrong at every turn. First off, 1-month post order and I do not have most of my $7,000 order. I called customer service (Tyler stopped answering text messages) who informed me that delivery was scheduled 5 weeks from now, I asked them to accelerate it. The next day, I went into the store to try to come up with a solution likely alternative pieces that could be delivered sooner (I had relied on Tyler's word when I leased fully furnished units to tenants which are still not fully furnished). The store called customer service because they do not have a customer service function at the store, customer service told me they would not look up alternative furniture that was in stock I had to do that with a store manager (30 minutes wasted). Then I worked with the store to find alternatives that were available. I decided to ADD alternatives to my order and SPEND MORE MONEY because they assured me the additional product would arrive 3 days later. 3 days later some of my original order arrives (side note I had ordered some of these items online the same day I placed my original order with the store and the online items arrived 5 days after I placed the order or 25 days before the in-store items arrived) but not the items I placed at the store. I call the store who puts me through to customer service who informs me the store had the decency to charge me but forgot to schedule the delivery so the items will not arrive for 4 more days. I tried to cancel some of the new items because some of the original order was to arrive the same day, but the store has a no return policy so customer service could only put in a request and typically you only get store credit. Online orders have a 72-hour return policy. So in short, ORDER ONLINE use the physical locations as a gallery. read more

So on June 29, 2019 my fiancé went shopping for recliners. We went all over Midland, Texas to the furniture stores and after looking went back to Ashley HomeStore. We purchased the loveseat with recliners for my camper living room since what I had was fine for one person but not two. The sales person was extremely nice as was the guy who we assume was her manager. We asked about when the delivery would be there and were informed that it was in the warehouse and would be there on July 3rd. I was going out of town for the long weekend and asked that instead of the 3rd could it be on July 8th. I was informed that would be better and yes it would be there. I arranged to have someone at my camper on the 8th. When I called to find out what time the delivery would be is where the trouble began. I first spoke to an individual named Samantha. She was extremely rude and told me that there would be absolutely no delivery as I didn't call and make arrangements. I informed her that the store had taken care of it and that I was guaranteed that the delivery would be there on Monday. Based on her rudeness I asked to speak to a manager. After being on hold forever I received another rude "supervisor" named Esmeralda who informed me that I would not be getting my furniture Monday. By the time Esmeralda had gotten online I had already started looking at the reviews so I explained to her that I totally understood why the negative reviews for this business. She still did nothing to make their word good and have my delivery on Monday as I had been guaranteed. She told me that she would make sure that it was on the truck for deliver on Tuesday morning. They would leave the warehouse between 7:30 - 8. I should have my delivery by 9:00 AM. Again my delivery did make it there on Tuesday however it was almost 11:00 AM. I will never purchase anything from them again. No matter how nice my salesperson was the customer service for the delivery system is horrible!!! Especially Samantha and Esmeralda! read more
