My Girlfriend and I wanted to go and do a little bit of window shopping for some new couches because our current ones are literally on their last leg. Well we decided to stop in to see what they had there, and I will say, we where there for a half hour / forty five minutes and not one person came up to ask us if we were being helped. So we where about to leave and we decided to look at one more couch. I for one am glad we did because Dan Folkert came up after he had helped a customer, to see if we needed any help, or could he give us more information on the couch we where looking at. So we should him the couch we where interested in and he actually was very thorough. He in my opinion was a very great person to deal with. Very friendly, exceptional nice, he also has a very unique way of doing sales. Which my girlfriend and I truly enjoyed. He never once forced us into anything, he made us feel very warm, and he made us feel very welcomed. He also never once made us feel like we where not just a pay check. He treated us like human beings. We will for one be coming back to purchase that couch / furniture set just because of him. Before going to any stores, I first looked online. I knew what I was looking for and proceeded to start shopping in stores. My first stop was Turks. I was not impressed with the sales lady or the prices. Then, I went to The Room Place. The salesman was nice, however, I didn't see anything I liked. Ashley was my next stop (and final stop). Adam showed me some options. They had just what I was looking for and the price was right. My plan was to buy a couch, chair and ottoman and I left purchasing a couch, chair, ottoman, love seat and two end tables. I can not say enough about what an awesome salesman and person Adam is and how much he helped me feel comfortable at Ashley Furniture. I was so impressed with him that I made sure to let his manager know before I left. I would highly recommend him if you are planning to purchase furniture from Ashley in Joliet. Went into the Joliet store 11/2 to try out mattresses. Sales associate Maria assisted me in the search. She asked my wants and needs and based upon those recommended that I try out the tempurpedic mattresses. She was very patient and knowledgeable and courteous. Spent at least 30 minutes with me talking about all things mattress, sleep, and the benefits. I tried 2 different mattress, 3 different firmness levels. Maria was really thorough in helping me and went above and beyond, I promise I could go on and on about her amazing service. She also was adjusting the mattress for me to show the proper angles/alignments and explained the benefits of raising the legs and head. After the tempur-pedic consultation I tried every other mattress in the store (none compared lol) and Maria was there for me then as well. Needless to say I'll definitely be purchasing the tempur-pedic with her if I decide to make that investment, I'd feel bad if I went anywhere else. So I went to Ashley for the first time this past Thanksgiving for the black friday doorbuster and was immediately greeted by Adam. I told him what I was there for and he took me directly to it. Very nice couch! The only thing was when they delivered it to my house, it would not fit in my downstairs sitting room and I had to send it back. I went back to the store explained to Adam what happened and he told me that I need to get a sofa that reclines so that when delivered they can take the track off and get it in smoothly. I had to get a refund because there was nothing at this time that I could afford but as soon as I am ready I will definitely be returning to Ashley homestore in Joliet. read more

I have made two big purchases from this store in three years. We were lucky enough to have Adam help us both times. If it wasn't for Adam our sales guy we would have shopped a few stores. He is extremely knowledgeable and professional. Not only is he eager to help but he puts no pressure to buy now. Even after the purchase he stays in touch about the delivery times to make sure everything is going as planned. I love Ashley Furniture. I would rate it a five-star. However, based on the fact that I was a little disappointed that the bed that we purchased did not come as it was displayed in the store (w/full-roll-slat). Before we even loaded it up on the truck (Romeoville Distribution Center) we turned around and went back for a refund. However, the manager added the full-roll-slat to the package free of charge. I recommend that you ask the sales person if the bed comes entirely as it is displayed. Thus giving you the option to purchase the roll-slat for added stability. I am very particular when it come to my comfort. I came here looking for a chair and sat in just about every chair in this store. Being very tall and weighing in at a slim 265...I need a man's chair, not some marshmallow, foofy thing that will collapse in a week. Gary showed me around and I made my choice. Now I am comfortable. Gary is great as well as the other staff and has great humor too. Prices are good, got some discounts.. Was not happy with delivery price so I skipped that. She let us browse and form our own opinions while briefly checking in to answer our questions efficiently. There for no pushiness and after visiting a competitors store where 2 sales ladies fought over who helped us first in the most unprofessional manner, Eman was a breath of fresh air. Absolutely fantastic service and quick turn around on delivery of our furniture. We worked with Adam and could not have been happier. Great prices, we ended up with an entire new living room instead of a new sofa and love seat, that would have cost the same or more at the other stores we had looked at previously.
