My parent's home flooded. We went to Ashley Furniture in Humble, Texas. They had just what she wanted. To begin, my mom bought a rug. They told us it was cash and carry but never said we couldn't return it. We got it home and discovered that the tomato color in the store turned pink in the light at my parents'. Ashley said nothing could be returned after it left the store. Then my mom applied for credit because she'd already paid for flood remediation, a new place to live while the house was repaired, etc. The sales lady couldn't figure out how to do the online application and actually ended up submitting it TWELVE times. My mom's sterling credit rating is now terrible because of all the hard credit inquiries. They also sold her the insurance on the reclining sofas. Okay, she did agree after the sales lady said, "you should get this insurance," but she was pretty much in shock from the flood and they failed to tell her it was $ 399.99. Literally the worst customer experience my husband and I have ever had. We've spent over $10,000+ with Ashley Furniture and we can't even get our product delivered on the date promised. We've been waiting over 2 weeks past the anticipated delivery date for our headboard to our bed and every time we call it's a new story. We are canceling our credit card with Ashley and we will never shop here again. This place is a joke and not one single employee can keep up with what's going on nor keep their word on what they've told us. I will stop at no end to make sure we are heard. This is absolute non-sense. Our product was delivered half-assed. We were originally told we would get everything on 10/16/19. Next thing we know our headboard for our bed got pushed back to 10/21/2019. After that date, we were told 10/22/19. After going to the store to complain, they then informed us (the manager TREE) in humble, TX informed us that 8 headboards were being delivered on 10/22 and that we would be notified when we would receive ours on 10/22. Next thing we know, we receive a call that we won't get it until after NOVEMBER 1st! We've literally been staying in a hotel due to flooding from tropical Storm Imelda and are waiting on this headboard so we can have a place to sleep!! On April 29, 2016, I visited the Ashley Furniture location in Humble looking for an over-sized chair. I was greeted by several Ashley Furniture associates with a warm welcome. Patsy was my sales associate and she was a very nice lady. She showed me several chairs but the one that I selected was the Exhiliration over-sized power recliner. I sent my husband a pic of the chair and he stopped by the store to sit in this chair to ensure that it would be comfortable and big enough for him since he's 6'4" tall. He agreed that it was comfortable and would compliment our bedroom. I inquired about the motor that operates the recliner and Patsy mentioned that if it needed to be replaced, all I would need to do was call Customer Care and that the process was easy to replace it if it ever needed. I told her that I wanted this chair but I declined the protection plan that she recommended. I also found a media cabinet that I wanted as well. My visit was productive and I felt good about the purchase when I left the store. On May 9th, the delivery came to our home and to our disappointment, the recliner wasn't the one that I selected in the store. They delivered a manual recliner instead of the power recliner that we both liked and sat in in their showroom. We declined the delivery of this chair since it's not what we selected. When I called Ashley Furniture to find out how this mistake happened and when the chair that I actually picked in their store would be delivered to me. The response from Patsy, the sales associate was, "You told me you were concerned about the motor going out on the power recliner." What I'm trying to understand is how my asking a "WHAT IF" question turned into my being written up and delivered a chair that I never selected. I simply asked how I would go about getting it replaced IF it ever went out. She took that to mean that I didn't want it and made an executive decision on her own to put me down for the manual recliner. Ashley Furniture told me that I should receive a phone call by May 11th (once the recliner that we declined shows to be back in their inventory in their warehouse). When they call me, they will arrange for delivery of the chair that I actually selected and include the price difference of the chair in my billing. On the other hand, I had no issue with the media cabinet....it is beautiful and it is exactly what I selected in the store. I'll update this review after my chair is delivered. I visited the store on May 11th to sign for the difference in price and was met by a gentleman named LA. He took great care of me and explained to the billing associates what they needed to do. I appreciate the care and concern that he showed. I'm happy to report that the chair that I wanted was finally delivered to me on May 14th. I also received a phone call from the store manager on May 13th to see if my issue had been resolved when I made my 2nd trip to the store to sort out the matter. He was gracious and apologized for the sales person that made the error in judgement and was attentive to my feedback. read more

So sorry I ever shopped at this store. I'm still waiting on management to give me what I paid for instead of sending a tech out for an issue I don't have. Not sure if these people are retarded or what. My complaint is that the mattress that was delivered to me is a plush soft one and I paid for a FIRM mattress in which I never received. I do not need a tech to keep coming out with a measuring stick to measure indentations in the mattress. When I lay down on the mattress it's too soft and causes issues with my back injury and that's a problem for me. This is not a policy issue, it a coward way out to take advantage of customers that are dissatisfied with your product. This is very disturbing and disheartening for a store of this caliber to dishonor its customers concerns. read more

I went in recently to look at some couches. I'm a young guy, but I'm a recent college grad with a pretty decent job and saved up a decent amount of money for some furniture for my new apartment. I went in, and the sales staff ignored me at first. Eventually, one came over and helped me. I was asking about couches and said I wanted something comparable to FlexSteel. The only thing I said about a price was that I'm willing to pay a little more for good quality, as you should with a couch. The salesman (I believe his name was Michael) could not seem to get it that I wasn't looking for a cheap couch that would last only a few years, and in fact, he ignored my stated preferences and directly told me I couldn't afford what I was looking for. I said I would keep a few couches I looked at in mind, but I wasn't going to make a purchase that day. The guy actually got defensive and asked me if I just didn't like them, and what was wrong with them. Eventually, he told me to go check Gallery Furniture, and then promised me that I don't actually want what I kept saying I was looking for. I didn't go to Gallery Furniture, but I did go to Furniture Traditions, and they even had FlexSteel. Contrary to what the salesman at Ashley insisted, I could afford the couch and paid double what the more cheaply-made couches he was trying to pressure me into buying cost, but I got a whole lot more out of my purchase. Look, Ashley Furniture, teach your salesmen to listen to your customer. What you think I can afford is irrelevant. I came in and gave a good idea of what I wanted, and your salesman insulted me and told me to go somewhere else. He actually worked harder to run me off instead of taking me seriously, and for that, I can see I'm not wanted as a customer. I would not recommend this place. read more

I have just moved to Houston, and a friend recommended the Ashley Furniture & Home store located at the corner of FM 1960 snd the Eastex Freeway. Great selection of furniture, professional & pleasant sales persons ... no hardsell. I ended up purchasing close to 2k worth of furniture for my apartment. But I had a problem with an ottoman, where the item pulled was wrong. I ended up eith a fabric ottoman instead of leather. I went back to the store & was durected to Mr Blar Kargou to assist me. There were some issues with this return, as I had exceeded the return time limit, among other yhings. But Blar was wonderful .. kind & helpful all throughout the process: heveven had ti make several calls to different department & department heads to get my issue resolved. Kudos to Blar Kargou for all his help, abive & beyond, all done with a smile! Thank you!!! I will definitely go back to this Ashkey store! read more

DO NOT ever give them your phone number! I purchase a piece from them several years ago and they continually call me with solicitations. I've asked nicely many times to be taken off of their list yet today I receive another call. I was told that she would "make a note" but it was up to the "higher beings". I didn't except that as a resolution so she said I would need to call back in to speak with the manager who would be out the next couple of days. Really? When the furniture piece I ordered was delivered, it came without appropriate hardware to assemble it. They snail-mailed the hardware and when I opened the package, it was the wrong stuff! After letting them know about the error, the response I received was that it would be another 7-10 business days to receive the correct hardware. They wouldn't even go the extra mile to pay for overnight shipping. Awful customer service. read more

Update: it's now May 13, still no word from Ashley on the furniture. Called customer care to find out that our order did not get put on the truck because the trucks were full. My question that still remains unanswered is are the trucks full of other people's back ordered furniture or is it normal delivery and we just got shoved to the side. So now the new delivery date is set for Friday the 15th. We shall see I suppose. Not holding my breath. One little positive is that I was able to get them to refund me the 75.00 delivery charge. I purchased a couch, 3 tables, and a mirror on Mother's Day. One month later and 4 delivery schedules later, the mirror is "in the warehouse" but unable to make it to my home for delivery. After talking with customer service many times, loads of apologies, and empty promises that the mirror will be sent next time. The mirror is still not in my possession. I've asked them each time, that if the mirror was unable to be delivered to call me before the day of it there were going to be further issues with delivery. Today is the day it is supposed to be delivered. I got a call this morning asking if I had received a call from the store regarding the mirror not showing up again today. The store obviously doesn't care that I have not received the mirror because I have yet to hear from them, only the corporate office to share some bullshit excuse as to why the mirror is not on the way to my house. If the mirror has been sent to a distribution center to be sent out to my house 2 missed deliveries ago, why do I not have the mirror? I'm glad that I have rescheduled everything (4 times) to be home for something I've paid for over a month ago and gets cancelled the day of. Once of which I had to call them to make sure it was still coming and then the moron in customer service says "oh, no one called you about it?". Update: After responding to their reply, they are picking up the bunkie boards and issuing a refund next week. We're glad to have the monetary aspect of it covered but I still wish it didn't have to escalate to public reviews to get it done. Original review follows: Short version: They tried to sell me incompatible products. It took too long to ring up the transaction (over an hour). Refused to refund a product a day later even though it wasn't compatible and was still in the packaging. This location has horrible management with no remorse. We purchased a bunk bed and were sold two bunkie boards along with it. The salesperson also tried to sell us a couple of mattresses but we declined after the one we picked out wasn't available and the sales process was dragging on too long. After we had made a final decision the CASH transaction took over an hour to ring up due to a combination of poor training and what seemed to be overly complicated and outdated software. While waiting for the bed to make it in we purchased the mattresses from Mattress Firm (great and fast experience!). We found the paperwork for the bed online and saw that it recommended a mattress 7" or shorter. It hadn't even crossed my mind while at Ashley's that the mattress they tried to sell me was WAY too tall. If we had put that one on the top bunk it would be really unsafe because the mattress would have been higher in relation to the guardrails. When we assembled the bed we realized that the bunkie boards were not necessary. We also didn't like how they raised the mattress above the height of the bed frame which would allow the mattress to slide out (on the bottom bunk which has no side rails). When I called, the manager told me they have a "No Returns" policy I signed (thinking it was just an invoice). My call was bounced around from the local store (independently owned) to a corporate call center who told me I needed to talk to the individual store. After I made the comment that I figured they should value taking care of a customer who might return to buy more stuff instead of pissing off a customer I was told I was on a recorded line and then asked if there was anything else they could help me with. I kept being told that "they" couldn't make the decision so I asked who could or if I could contact the "independent owner" but was rebuffed. I will say that the sales experience was a good one. I worked with Meribel and she was very helpful. She took the time to make sure we got all we needed. It did not feel pressured, although they do ask if you want to finance. We bought several pieces of furniture. I would say that Meribel gets a 5 star for her customer service. BUT the delivery experience was what earned it a 2 star. I was told at check out that all the furniture would come 3 days later, except the dining room table. It was on backorder. I was ok with this. So when the delivery crew shows up the bed does not have the footboard. The delivery guys do not know why but just say that it was not pulled for my order. So they can not put my daughters bed together, until we get that part. Also my kitchen table was not in this first order. They did end of bringing it a couple of days Later, along with the footboard. So now we are working with 3 delivery days and missing stuff. I finally got the table's on the 3rd delivery. It was just a lot of disorder to me. But the delivery team was very polite and put all my stuff together, once they had it. So the problem looks to me to be within management. So a month later I decided to go back and look at 3 smaller pieces of furniture I wanted. I decided it would be best not to have anything delivered since I could fit it into my car. They had 2 in stock at warehouse and 1 on backorder for 9 days. They told me to call ahead to pick up so it will be pulled and ready to go.....well you guessed it was not pulled when we arrived and it took 1hour and 10min for them to bring it out!!! Not ok:( So if you have tons of patience on getting your stuff you paid for you may be ok to shop here. IF not stay way! I will also add that the furniture is a great product. I've had such an awful experience with Ashley. I purchased new furniture and was told that my order would be able to be delivered to my new address out of state, without any problems. Sam, the salesperson who assisted me, assured me my furniture would all be delivered on a certain date. I took that day off from work and called them around noon to confirm, only to discover that my furniture wasn't even scheduled for delivery. I visited the local store where I live now and they informed me that Sam had sent my furniture to a "warehouse that doesn't exist". I was then told it was impossible to give any kind of timeframe for delivery due to covid, which is fine. It's been 3 months and I haven't even heard anything from them. I ended up cancelling part of my order and was promised a refund with 5-7 business days. I called every week for the next 5 weeks and never received my refund or an updated invoice reflecting the partial cancellation, which I requested every single tome we spoke.I never got my refund and ended up just contesting it with my bank. This has got to be the most ridiculous and unprofessional furniture store in America. Don't waste your time or your money. read more

Horrible experience at the Ashley's in Humble . I waited two weeks for delivery then on the day of got a call say that my order will not going to be delivered until another week. Went ahead and waited then when they final arrived they would not take mattress away stated there were stained and old. Yes they are old that is why I bought new but stained not, I had a mattress protector on and the original plastic. The salesman never told anything about any stipulation on removing mattress. I was told they would take them away. If that was the case they should have said that I would not be excepting them to removed. Came in contact with Patricia at this location. Interested in purchasing a sofa but the language barrier had me ready to reconsider. If I'm going to make a purchase over 2 grand, I want to understand EVERYTHING. At one point she even asked me if I speak Spanish. She kept trying to get me to purchase a $350 "protection plan" and a $150 delivery fee after I told her several times I didn't want it and would pick up the furniture myself. She said if I didn't purchase $2500 or more worth of merchandise, I would not receive any discounts, thus paying about the same price for just the sofa sectional. I was finally able to speak with her supervisor who told me (in English) that I would still receive a discount but it would be 15% instead of 20%. Perfect. Sold. Patricia asked me if I would like my chaise on the left or right side. I requested right. Then she tells me she only has left. What was the point of asking then? I pick up the furniture at a different location (another hassle) and in less than 90 minutes I am back with a damaged piece right out of the box. I am then told my sofa is discontinued and they have no idea if/when it will ever be available. So now I have half a sofa sectional and am told to call customer service with my issue. While on hold with customer service for over 30 minutes, I walk around the store and notice an identical piece on the sales floor as the one that I purchased damaged. I ask why I can't just take that one. They said because they're ordering another piece so it can be sold as a complete set. How are they going to order a discontinued piece for their store if they can't order one for me that I already purchased? Finally the customer service rep talked the manager into swapping their sales floor piece with my damaged piece. I get the piece home and it has no connectors for the sectional. I purchase my own online and wait for them to be delivered (more hassles) and discover the reason the connectors were missing was because the threads from the screw holes were stripped. I had to make my own holes that can't possibly line up straight now. All the feet (16 of them) also had to be installed by hand with a screwdriver as the drill wasn't long enough to fit all the way through the holes in the feet. There were no holes in the bottom of the sofa to install the feet so those also had to be done by hand. I am now the owner of a half new half used crooked sofa with stripped threads that I will be paying on for the next two years. To top it all off, while the chaise looks identical to its matching counterparts, it is filled with something completely different. The rest of the sofa is very soft and comfortable and filled with feathers. The chaise is filled with some type of stiff foam that makes a plastic wrap noise when it's sat/laid on. It is very noticeable. I regret everything about this purchase and will not shop at Ashley's ever again. UPDATE: DeAnna at customer care contacted me regarding this review and really sympathized with my situation. She was able to credit 10% of my original purchase to my account for my inconveniences which I really appreciated! So much so that it enticed me to go back into Ashley's. I will say I stopped at Bel before hand and was told all of their bedrooms are sold as a set. I didn't have room for a nightstand and knew I would pay for it in the "set" as well as a mirror on the dresser that I did not want as I would also be using the dresser as a tv stand so a mirror would be covered up. I also noticed chips on almost all of their floor pieces. The salesman told me it was just because they get moved around frequently and that I would find half the quality for twice the price at Ashley or Rooms To Go. Not true! Phil greeted me at the door of Ashley's Furniture with a smile. He made me feel welcomed and immediately found out what I was looking for and pointed me to pieces matching my requests. Although what I wanted was not in store, Phil assisted me in selecting it online and getting it at a cheaper price than advertised on the website. I was able to finance part of my purchase through the existing account I already had with Ashley's without another hard hit on my credit. Perfect! I did not have to buy a set of any kind, a nightstand or dresser mirror that I didn't want or need. I purchased only the pieces I wanted. Way to win back a customer Ashley's! My sales person was ok we found what we wanted and purchased a Desk and Chair with a large file cabinet. We wanted it the same day so we had to go to the distribution center. This is where the real story begins. This place is trashy and the people we encountered could give a shit about the customer. My wife went in to ask about picking up our order and had to get someone attention to get help then was shown where to go but the window was blocked by a big sign. So she had to keep asking. They finally realized it was behind a sign. It took 20 minutes before we could get our desk. Then the brought it up. And there was a corner of the box pushed in. We tried to open it but determined that it had no damage from that spot. Then the guy who brought it up left and it took him 10 minutes to come back. I had to ask him to help me load it and he acted like it was an in convenience. So I finally get it unloaded at home and open it up and the corners of the desk are smashed in. On the opposite end of the box were I found the box mashed in. I am quite pissed by now. I cannot deal with the store. They refer you to Customer Care ( not really) for this type of issue. I wanted them to bring a replacement to my home and pick up the damaged one. But they said I would have to pay 129 dollars for a delivery fee because they would put the desk together and that is why they cannot bring it out. They did offer to do it for half of that fee after I talked to a manager. However I decided to just take it back for a refund. Probably the last time I go to their store. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!! A little over month ago we spent 5k there, on a entertainment center, entry way table, matching side table, & a king size adjustable gel memory foam matteress, it took over 2 weeks for them to deliver & they haveessed up since!!! On the entrrtainment center they brought 2 LEFT piers, fogured whatever well call them and get it fixed, that wasnt the only issue, and the ISSUES STILL are happening, and they have been out here 4 times! The end table was broke, along with the hinge on the side table, STILL waiting on those repair pieces, they never brought the sync cord for our matteress. They left the extra pier out on my front porch for 2.5 weeks!!!! They were supposed to come today to bring the sync cable and pick up the pier, and guess what they only picked up the pier. Oh and the right pier they brought is BROKE! The light socket is all broke and doesn't even work. Now i have to make ANOTHER call for them to make ANOTHER trip to obviosuly not fix the issue. read more

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from Ashley Furniture. We bought a double recliner and from the moment it was delivered it has had mechanical failures. The Humble, Tx store would not take it back and deliver one that worked because they said it was too late. They delivered it on the weekend and we called first thing Monday morning! So we were forced to let them repair this brand new furniture. Now, 9 months later, it is stuck in the open/reclining position and we have been unable to get it serviced. Forget about trying to call the "Customer Service" line; you are placed on interminable hold. Then when I finally got through, they shipped the replacement parts without scheduling a technician to actually do the work. I call again; same long hold times. Technician is supposedly scheduled. He never showed up and never called. I call again and waste more time on hold. Turns out no one was "serviced" today (some kind of miscommunication on their end) and the "Customer Service" rep said all she could do was reschedule. Meanwhile, we're stuck with this tripping hazard and no one at Ashley is held accountable for their lack of customer service or false promises. Even going to the Humble store and getting the assistant manager (Calvin) involved did not accomplish anything; he can't, or won't, deal with the repair side of the business. What a disgrace. Came in looking for some furniture on a Saturday afternoon. This store is located in the corner of a busy strip mall so parking can be tight on the weekend. This store always has a special deal or sale. We came in and we're greeted by a few sales folks. They weren't overbearing at first. One sales person noticed we lingered around a certain bed and to say the least she came in for the kill! Great sales lady. Ms Claudette was very patient yet persistent in helping us find everything we needed for our new apartment. She took the time to ask all the right questions and even was kind enough to re run the sales and prices for us a couple of times. She wanted to make sure we walked out the door with the perfect furniture. Great sales lady she is. We settled on a nice bed, mattress and living room set that fit within our budget. So me and my wife purchased our Furniture on January 25 and the whole process has been beyond frustrating. We purchased our bedroom furniture, mattress , mattress protector, and kitchen table.My furniture was delivered on February 4 and nothing has gone right. PROBLEM NUMBER ONE I purchased a bed frame that had storage footboard and it did not fit my bed because I have an adjustable base. I was never told the bed frame would not fit my bed and even the one who sold it to us was the manager and supposedly expert in the bedding department until they came to install the bed. So he ordered me a new head/foot board without storage. So the following week I got an Email that Friday for delivery conformation and they were sending me the same foot board and I called and stopped the delivery. On February 8th I physically went to the store and picked my new head/footboard and they told me they would take care of it will I talked to the same sales person as before she stated she did not know we had an adjustable base even through she sold us warranty on the adjustable base. On February 17th when they came to deliver my foot board they had brought the same footboard with storage again. So me and my wife went to the store as soon as the delivery guy left and talked to them about it and they told us that the order was never put in correctly and we had to wait a couple of days. So then we come to PROBLEM NUMBER TW0 which is our Mattress Protector we never received and still haven't. On Feb 4 we were told that the mattress Protector would not arrive with our furniture but we could go pick it up at the store. So when we went back to the store on Feb. 8th they said they didn't have any and would be delivered with our replacement bed instead. So When they bought the Wrong Furniture on Feb 17 we went back to the store. We asked them about the mattress protector they said they had it and went to look for it, after a while the lady came back and said that the computer system said they did have some but she could not find any in the store and would have a shipment coming in the next week. So I got an Email about the order for the mattress protector and I could pick it on February 25th we weren't able to pick it up until the 27th. When my wife went to pick it up they said they didn't have it and gave it to somebody else and they charged me for it again even through I originally payed for it back in January. I called them about the double charge and they stated that it was a mistake and they would credit my account back the amount and order me a new one. So when I spoke to them on March 11 they told me they were still working on it and that I was not getting a refund because I was never charged for it even though it's on my receipt. So my wife went to the store today March 11 to see the update on the mattress protector and the extra charge for it they told her that it wasn't an extra charge even though they had clearly told me over the phone that it was. They told her it look like an extra charge but that's how it had to be because of a claim they had to put in because since it look like the mattress protector was given and it was added as a second one even though we haven't received anything and until that claim is resolved then they would be able to order it even though on feb 28 they had told her they were going to reorder it. So the manager at that time spoke to her and told her they didn't have the mattress protector and would have to order AGAIN and will take 3 weeks to get. When she brought up a refund with everything that we've been through and the refund on the delivery charge as the said they would he said they would not give a refund back even though the last time we had been there they said they were going to work on it. Then my wife expressed frustration and getting to the point of even returning everything because of all the struggles we have been through and he said that we couldn't return it and we would not get our money back either way. He said we had to talk to customer service she explained that she has multiple of times and they keep saying that we have to talk to the store directly and both parties giving us the roundabout and not addressing our issues. Finally PROBLEM NUMBER THREE so when we originally had our Furniture delivery we noticed problems with the chairs being wobbly and some of the dresser drawers wouldn't close and the guy delivering the furniture put in a service order for the furniture. Needless to say we bought this problem up multiple timea and were told the service order was never put in and kept getting the run around. We finally received the parts for our dresser last Friday and getting them serviced on March 17. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ASHLEY FURNITURE TO ANYONE. Great looking furniture until you deal with the delivery! The sales people lie to make the sale and then when it's time for delivery it gets pushed back every week. Was scheduled at the store to get our bed 12/1 so I took off of work and it never showed up, called them and they said "it's not scheduled until the 3rd and it will be there between 2-5 on 12/3. Well it never showed up! My wife called them and one person for customer service said yeah it's suppose to be there let me transfer you to our delivery department. Well they said not it's not scheduled for delivery until 12/7 and we can't refund you your delivery fee, we will give you 100$ credit.. Well that's a waste of my time because I'll never purchase anything from them again!!! Do not goto the Ashley in humble, because it's terrible once you actually purchase from them! I had the same thing happen to me with the actual bed about 5 years ago, but my wife wanted to buy from them!! First of all, let me just throw it out there that I've never been an Ashley fan. The quality of furniture is subpar, and good customer service is non existent. My fiancé and I recently purchased our first home, so we were in need of multiple things. My fiancés parents gave us an Ashley Furniture store credit voucher that they had received from an un-used warranty. Since it was free money, why not find SOMETHING to buy at Ashley for our new house? We opted to buy an 8X10 rug for our living room. Bad idea! The rug we chose was not an "Ashley rug", it was a rug made by a company who Ashley distributes for. That means that once we ordered the rug it would be directly shipped from the manufacturer. We placed the order on January 3rd and was told the rug would be delivered on January 23rd. We paid, and left the store. Everything was fine and dandy until January 23rd; no rug was delivered. I called customer service who had no idea where the rug was, or even if the rug had been shipped. I understand that it wasn't shipped from their warehouse, but they couldn't even provide the information on where it was coming from or how to find out. Long story short I had to call the Humble store AND customer service about 10 times over a few week period before the rug was finally delivered. It was just an overall mess all for a single freaking rug. Never again will I purchase ANYTHING from Ashley Furniture. read more

Highly disappointed ! After the salesman, Sam tried unsuccessfully to slip in extra costs, he tried to deny it. Then, after having to re-write my order three times, I told him it is still incorrect. He says " oh, I'll change it. It's just for the lady's benefit who is writing the sales ticket." After trying to straighten it out over the phone, customer service tells me that she can't help me with the shorted items I'm missing. They simply can't handle selling more than ONE ITEM in a transaction. Sam appeared to be on something. Completely Confused ! Customer Service is nonexistent ! We purchased a kind sized mattress and was told if we wanted, could cancel the order within 10 days. We also asked if there was a 3rd party delivery and was assured Ashley had their own delivery service (the first two lies). Delivery was scheduled 5 days later and my husband took the day off to wait after a delivery confirmation call. The delivery driver called that day "lost" (lie #3) and was given specific directions but never showed. We went to the store that evening and were told they would offer us $150 store credit, which we refused because we have NO desire to buy from them ever again, and then was told the delivery truck was in our driveway and would wait 20 minutes for us to get home (lie #4). We raced home and was there in less than 10 minutes and no one was there. We called the store back and was put on hold but after 45 minutes later the phone disconnected. Corporate customer service called us and told us the best they could do was deliver 3 days from when we originally had scheduled (lie #5). We asked to speak to a manager and was told the best they could do is have one call us within 48 hours. At this point, with the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GREATEST AMOUNT OF LIES, the "best" they are doing for us is an attempt of re-delivery 5 days after the original delivery date and a hope and prayer they get the right mattress this time. I went to Ashley furniture to purchase a mattress for my mother. I had no clue really what I should be looking for or what brands were better. I was assisted my Zaira and she asked me everything to better assist me in what mattress would be a better fit for my mother. She was such an AMAZING help, and not only did she help me find the perfect mattress for a great price, but i left the store feeling like she genuinely cared about me and my needs. She was so sweet and friendly! She gave me her business card, and I know exactly who to call when I need furniture in the future. NEVER PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!! I only gave them 1 star because it makes you give them something! I purchased a king size bedframe and media stand from the Ashley Outlet store on Airtex and I-45 on 8/13/16 in Houston and the moment we walked in a gentlemen told my husband and I "DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE" as he was walking out (that should have been my sign)...BUT I gave them a chance anyway because we had the same bedroom set for almost 17 years!! This store wasn't my problem...it was the next day on 8/14/16 when we went to the Humble location to get a new mattress for our new bedframe that has caused ALL my PAIN!! We were interested in the Serta IComfort or the Tempurpedic and we ended up purchasing the Serta IComfort after the salesman said that if we weren't satisfied with it that we could return it for EQUAL OR GREATER value and come and get the Tempurpedic (which was more $$ anyway). So we picked up our mattress from the Airtex and I-45 location cause that is where the inventory is kept and get it home and OMG there is DEFINITELY something wrong with the mattress!! Each side was already dented in and the middle of the mattress was raised up to where you couldn't roll over to the middle of the mattress OR snuggle with each other or you were at a slant!! NOT GOOD!! So I called Ashley Furniture to tell them that I was not satisfied with the mattress and that I believed that there was something wrong with it and they told me that my mattress didn't have any guarantee and that I was pretty much STUCK with it!! OH NOOOO THEY DIDNT!! So after numerous phone calls and ME having to walk through THEIR website showing a manager that MY mattress had a 120 night guarantee and that was false advertisement, they told me to come pick out another mattress. So on 9/17/16 I went and picked out the Tempurpedic that I wanted and they told me that my Serta IComfort would be picked up and the new mattress would be delivered and I would just have to pay the $400 difference...I was Ok with that...Fast Forward to 9/27 as I hadn't heard from anybody about when my new mattress would be delivered so I called them and I was told that my mattress replacement had been cancelled by the corporate office because I couldn't switch from Serta to Tempurpedic yet NOBODY cared to give me a call to let me know!! Basically the Salesman lied to me to get me to buy from him!! So after speaking to several different people they suggested that they send out a serviceman to inspect my mattress for any defects...Ok sure! 10/15/16 someone was to come out and inspect my mattress...well what do you know 2 hours before my appointment on that day I received a call from Ashley's stating the serviceman had called in sick!! So we rescheduled for the following Saturday, 10/22. He came out and inspected my mattress, took pictures and verbally stated that my mattress was clearly defected and that I should be hearing back from someone ASAP. He leaves and within 20 minutes of him leaving someone from Ashley's calls to say that a claim had been filed and I should hear from someone in the next week or so. Fast Forward to 10/25 - I called THEM to check status...I was told no status and it would be another week or 2!! Dang they must have ALOT of claims to go through!! Within 25 minutes of me hanging up the phone I get a call back stating that my claim was approved and that it would take 5-7 business days!! (Something DIFFERENT from everyone I talk to EVERYTIME!!) Oh and every other person I talk to at Customer Service...her name is Dana!! Really how many Dana's do they have!!! I bet they are trained to say that so that they don't know which one it is!! GEEZ!!! I need to start getting their initial to their last name!! After I mentioned to them that I would be taking my issue with them to the local news (Emily Aiken) as I believe they are yanking my chain and have THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER is when I was FINALLY told that I could get the Tempurpedic and my claim was accepted and finalized!! If you have miscommunication between you and your salesman and they fail to tell you something, customer service surely do not step in and help. You're pretty much screwed!
