I was excited by the prices I saw but it stopped there. I took off work for the delivery and only received the bed rails at 9am. called and they apologized and sent the mattresses, and couch at 9pm. i was told 1/2 of the delivery would be refunded-never received. and 3 months later the finance company still does not have the bill from them. This has been the worst experience ever! Not necessarily with this store, but with their customer care service center. I have never had to call so many times to have multiple issues resolved and then have them blatantly act like it is the most common occurrence and come up with a million excuses as to why multiple delays for ONE PIECE OF FURNITURE is how they keep their cost down, this is what I was told in regards to my complaint about my coffee table being delayed for a FOURTH time. That would make it two months since the order date. Not to mention the delivery fiasco that we went through when we received our other two pieces for the same order. Not only were they HORRENDOUSLY late, 7 hours to be exact, but they also had the audacity to ask us to help move our kitchen table up to our apartment. Every time I was the one to call once the deadline had passed for the delivery window. I have never experienced a company that clearly did not care about their customers, but also one that was so disorganized and lacked the proper communication with their customers. When I called to cancel and spoke with a customer care manager, it was a completely glib response and at no time during this horrible experience was there any loyalty compensation offered besides a discount on the table that was already 2 months late. Corporate might want to reestablish their customer care mission goals with their current employees. Never shopping with this company again. They clearly do not care about their customers, or the money they spend if 2 month delays are an acceptable and reasonable excuse for making their customers wait. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would! Ordered on 4th of July with delivery scheduled for August 1st and no mention of back ordered items. On approx. July 30th we received a call that 4 of our chairs hadn't shipped yet and we were given the option to get the other 6 items on the 1st with the chairs to follow on the 11th or all on the 11th. We chose the latter. On August 11th everything except the 4 chairs were delivered, we made a call to customer service and they told us the items were backorderd and would be delivered on August 27th, with no additional delivery charge woo hoo! August 25th rolls around and we get a call that it will be September 7th. I asked for display models and even offered to drive the 60+miles to the store and pick them up. I was told they would see what they could do and call me back. Phone call never came so my wife called today and was now told October 7th and that they couldn't guarantee that date either. Oct.11th rolls around and we get a message that they are scheduled for delivery on Monday 10/15 between 1-4PM. I called and talked to a person and got confirmation that was really scheduled for delivery. Today I called to give them my phone number instead of my wife's so I could meet them there when they arrived and was told the delivery had been canceled and that the soonest date we would get them now is November 9th. Now after spending over $3K we have a nice table that two people can sit at while the others have to stand. They offered me a $100 store credit for the next item I buy there, maybe if I order now a bed now it will be here in time for my toddler to use when she moves to college! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. The delivery department and customer service department are absolutely PATHETIC. They don't allow you, THE CUSTOMER, to pick your delivery time! They assign you a 3 hour window and you better be there because the driver WILL NOT call you 30 minutes before and will only wait 15 minutes. If you miss your delivery you have to wait another entire week before they do a re-deliver. They will let you know the time frame of your re-delivery 2 days before. As the customer that spent $10k on new furniture for my home I should be able to pick a time that is convenient for me! And if I have to be there when it is convenient for them I deserve at least a 30 min heads up. My delivery was scheduled in the middle of the day so I had to leave work to meet them at my house just to find out that they already left RIGHT BEFORE I PULLED UP because they didn't even wait a full 20 minutes. I was notified 10 minutes prior by a text message. I was not expecting a text. I was expecting a phone call. What makes this even more frustrating is that my first delivery of furniture was just 8 days prior to this delivery which just so happened to be a convenient time for me and the driver called me 20 minutes ahead of time. (Thus why I was expecting a phone call ahead of time again) A portion of my entertainment center was damaged, so therefore that's why I was waiting on the second delivery. This will be over 2 weeks I have to go without the tv stand portion of my entertainment center. So I have a living room with no place to put a tv. All of this delay is clearly on Ashley and the customer service department refuses to do anything about it. Never ordering or buying from Ashley again. read more

My husband and I purchased end tables and coffee table from Ashley Furniture. It has been disastrous. The wrong end table was delivered on the initial delivery. On the second delivery one of the end tables was so defective, the delivery guy said there is no way I can leave this table with you. I don't know how this company stays in business. Three tables ordered, two deliveries and our order is still not complete. We ordered furniture from Gallery Furniture around the same time. One delivery for more merchandise was all it took. Do NOT shop this store. You are made to feel like you are the King of England until.....you sign that dotted line. They lie...Delivery is horrible. We received half our order and was told we would get the other half on Tuesday. On Tuesday we are in the store wanting to talk to a manager because we still have not gotten our furniture. We ask to talk to the manager and they would not tell us who it was. I finally weeded him out only to have him look us in the face saying it was our fault. I am deaf and read lips pretty well. A woman and the manager was standing across the room talking about us, shaking their heads. The same time we were there, a woman had been waiting over a week for her bed and was wanting her money back. They would not give it to her. Even telling them she was sleeping on the floor. It is not worth the hassle to shop this store. NO STARS read more

Bought $3000 Adjustable mattress from them, was misinformed from sales rep that if you were not happy with bed you can return in 30 days... which didn't sound right, but ok... other than that being a complete lie, the bed, now two years old... is sagging in the middle, the foam top is still fluffy, but lower structure seems to be failing, they sent a tech out and decided it was not defective, but my sore back every morning says otherwise!!! So they denied the claim and I am stuck with an expensive painful mattress. Mind you, the warranty company may not be Ashley, but that is the company they choose to use! read more

Very unhappy with customer service. We went in last Saturday to buy new bedroom furniture. We tried to have it delivered a week later (the following Saturday) the salesman said that the date wasn't available. He asked if they could deliver during the week, I told him that would be fine but the soonest that I could be home was 3:30-4:00. He tells me his delivery drivers don't deliver that late. Hmmmm. As I am discussing with my husband that we need to shop elsewhere the salesmen decided to make magic happen. He comes back and says he can deliver Friday 13th and make us the last deliver. It will be there around 3. I told him we could make that work. Fast forward to Wednesday and they are trying to confirm delivery for 9:30 am - 12:30 pm. I explained to the lady that we told the salesmen that would not work and repeated our conversation. She then proceeds to tell me that they cannot rearrange a while truck of deliveries to accommodate me. I again explained our conversation to the salesman, she didn't care. I called the customer care explained my grievances and he said he would see what he could do and call me back. The deliver is supposed to happen tomorrow and I have yet to hear from anybody. So know my husband has to take time off of work, and lose pay to meet the delivery drivers. We were lied to for a salesman to make a commission. This has been one of the worst furniture buying experiences we've encountered next to Fingers Furniture. From the numerous set backs in furniture delivery, horrible customer service, incompetent & careless delivery men, lack of follow through & communication regarding home damage claim submission, furniture repair, & delivery. The above issues completely took away from the happiness and excitement of buying a new home. It is disappointing when you see a huge chip taken out of your wall in your brand new home caused by inconsiderate delivery men and no action is being taken due to hidden waivers presented by Ashley furniture in order to avoid the responsibility of repair. It is also quite surprising that a huge furniture company known all over North America has contracted employees representing the Ashley name when they're covered in such a gross amount of tattoos they couldn't hide them if they tried and are insufficient English speakers. It is beyond unprofessional and terrifying to have delivery men show up looking as if they've just escaped from prison. Satisfaction, knowledge, and security were not felt upon delivery. The customer care team handling calls for the Humble, Texas store are very unprofessional and show no consideration for the inconvenience caused to the customer. I spoke with Trish(who never followed up with me), Jessica, and Ashley. Not one apologized or showed the level of profession a customer care agent should possess when servicing the public. The management at the local Humble, Texas store are cowards and can't face you when there's a problem, but are constantly in your face when they want to make a sale. Naran, the store manager for this location was nowhere to be found once I expressed my anger regarding all that had taken place. She immediately put the situation in the hands of the "front office" manager and was never seen again during my time in the store. Again, no apology from the store manager(Naran) or follow up to ensure that the matter had been handled appropriately and to my satisfaction. For these reasons, I would NEVER recommend anyone to seek Ashley Furniture for their furniture buying needs. read more
