So, let me tell you how dope our furniture buying experience was. My husband and I strolled into Ashley's furniture a little bit before black Friday. We were greeted and asked to play a game for Black Friday. We just had to delect a ball from a can. We picked a ball to receive 25% off our order. However, we informed our sales associate, Maryonna, that we were only looking because we were closing on a house and couldn't buy at the time. After walking around for some time, we found our desired bedroom set and our sons. Maryonnna, checked in on us from time to time to give us insight and answer questions. Once we were finished, we told her we would return after our home purchase. She volunteered to write up our totals and send it to us via text, which she did as well as all questions here and there. Fast forward to yesterday. We closed!!! So, as promised, we returned to the store and found Maryonna. They have a Keurig so my husband and I both got coffee...because we thought we were in for a long, hard process. However, Maryonna let us walk around a bit to look at the showroom. She was available to answer all questions that we had. Once we settled on the pieces, she worked with Laura at ther front desk to get our numbers and paper work together. Laura was super awesome too. I had to bug her for a stirrer for my coffee and she found me a new straw from her drawer. The both of them worked together to get our order processed. We later wanted to pay for our sons bed seperate and they were both patient with changing the paperwork. We were in there for a few hours and even a little after close and they were very nice, didn't rush us and helped us thru the whole process. We actually got a few wall decorations and a lamp that we took home and Maryonna wrapped them up really good. The experience was so great that we ended up getting more pieces than planned. In total, we furnished our bedroom, our sons bed room and the dining room. Overall, great experience!! Maryonna was fabulous and took care of us and Laura was wonderful working with too processing all the paperwork, payments and explanations. I would definitely recommend my friends and family to them. This is by far the worst place to spend money and get a good return on your investment. My husband and I spent $2000.00 on a sectional and where. It told that the fabric we chose snags everytime you touch it or that it would constantly leave off gasses for years to come and break down easy. We are 2 normal sized adults with no children at home. The back pillows are broken down, the Velcro on the bench below the cushions doesn't even work and hasn't since 1 week after it was delivered, not to mention it was delivered with a 6 inch tear in the back that can be seen when you walk past the couch. It's hard not to see the tear, this is a sectional. Terrible customer service coming from home office as well!!!! Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere else. read more

We didn't get the delivery add on because we are capable of getting it with our trailer and truck. So we waited 4 weeks for our couch to go to the warehouse and they did not give us our 5 piece sectional because one of the pieces was damaged. So then the warehouse did nothing to help us and said we had to call support and have them order a new piece. So we called and tried to connect to someone and we never had a call back. Tried again and no clarification of the piece that we were missing. The whole experience and communication was absolutely shocking. and HORRIBLE. i would give it a 0 if i could. I loved kate. Bought a very nice couch in store that i had seen online and was given a $50 gift card for Ashley HomeStore. When i went to use the gift card online to buy an end table for $79.99 there was no option to buy using it. So I went back to the store however they wanted $139.99 for same table. She gave me an explanation that they are two different companies even though they have exactly the same name, same logo, same products with same model numbers. Seems very shady to me. So i went to target and bought very similar table for $69.99. She tried to hustle my husband and i out of almost $1,000 by demanding we use cash for a deposit....we left and then contacted their corporate offices the next day to ask if thats a common practice. I went to my local Ashley's in Toledo area and saw some things in person then called the Fairlawn store. Alecia was AMAZING! I told her what I liked, over the phone, color scheme and everything. Akron Oh Fairlawm Store. Bought an 1700 dollar dinning set in July. 2 months ago I noticed it had a crack in it. Through my warranty they sent a tech outbto fix it. You can still see the crack and it os not level. They will not replace it and they told me that it is not a manufacture problem. Mind u i have sat at it once and have no children. I did not cause this flaw. She basically called me a liar. I WILL NEVER shop at Ashleys again. I paid for the warranty and they did not hold too it. SCAM!!! Awful customer service. On November 19th, I ordered 6 items totaling $1521.12 to include a recliner, a foundation twin, a chest of drawers, a nightstand, a twin mattress in a box, and a bed. On November 21st, my credit card was charged $192.14 for the queen size bed, which was incorrectly order, as it should have been a twin. On November 23rd, I sent a photo of the damaged nightstand. On November 24th, I received an email that a second nightstand was being shipped. On November 27th, I received an email that 3 items were being returned, which I presume was the damaged nightstand, as well as the queen bed and rails. On November 29th, I received notification that the twin bed and rails were being delivered, for a total of $213.49. On November 30th, I sent a photo of the second nightstand sent also being damaged. On November 30th, my credit card was charged $213.49 for the twin bed and rails, although I'm unsure why the queen bed was $192.14, yet the twin was so much more. On December 4th, I was notified that my credit card was credited for $192.14 for the return of the queen bed and rails. On December 11th, I received an email that yet another nightstand was going to be delivered, but it has yet to arrive. On December 13th, I received notification that the recliner, foundation twin, and chest of drawers would be delivered on January 3rd, although the original order back on November 19th said that the delivery would be in 1 to 2 weeks. On December 13th, I received an email that I was to receive a discount of $90 for the problems with the recliner, foundation twin, and chest of drawers. As for my credit card statement, the following has transpired with Ashley Furniture: On November 23rd, I was charged $192.14. On November 23rd, I was charged $261.51. On December 2nd, I was charged $213.49. On December 6th, I was credited with $53.38. On December 6th, I was credited with $192.14. On December 11th, I was charged $1067.47. read more

I was initially very excited about my order which was a solid wood bedroom suit. I bought the bed, dressor, mirror and a night stand. However that quickly changed when the day of delivery. 1. First the delivery team was 45 minutes late. I was notified 15 minutes before the end of the delivery window of the delay. However, the three delivery men were very professional and courteous. 2. The bed was so damaged out of the box that it could not be assembled. The type of damage that existed clearly happened in the factory as the boxes were in perfect condition. One leg of the bed was virtually split in two and had severe scratches. The headboard had multiple scratches and damage to the decorative trim. Only the footboard and side rails were undamaged. 3. The dresser had multiple areas of damage. Scratches throughout the wood work. Areas where the stain was not appropriately applied. Lastly, a drawer as damaged by the person who installed the handled. The drawer front was split and had splintered wood on the inside. This should have been obvious during the assembly, and definitely during the QC process they claim to have. 4. The mirror had a deep scratch in the side that was stained over. Some of the stain is not even and the scratch was not filled in prior to repair. 5. Because of the delay in the delivery time, I couldn't contact their customer service department until the next business day. Additionally, once you order, the stores can do nothing to help you. Everything must go through their customer service department. Speaking with customer service and emailing several pictures documenting the damage, they indicated the headboard and legs would be replaced. They did offer me money off the dresser and mirror with a warranty repair on the scratches or the option to replace. Given the location of the scratches, I opted for the repair with discounted price. Then I learned I'd have to I had to wait another two weeks, sleeping on just mattresses on the floor, for the replacement bed pieces to arrive. The replacement drawer which was shipped directly to me had visible scratches so I had to call customer service yet again to order another one. I was told that when I get the call for delivery that is when the repairs would also be coordinated. They now claim they told me I had to call for a warranty repair visit separately. I specifically asked them several times how the repairs would be handled compared to delivery of the new pieces and each time I was told "you will be called to schedule." Fast forward two weeks, the delivery team arrives. They were only told to deliver the new pieces. They were not informed that final assembly was required which meant they had to call their dispatch / shipping department to get approval. The delivery team was professional and courteous, more so than I felt corporate customer service was. After speaking with their customer service reps at least 3 times (on the day following the first delivery) about the extent of the problems and the work that remained, how is it possible that they missed the part assembling the bed on the second delivery??? Now I have to wait another 11 days for the repair tech to come out to fix scratches and staining issues. The overall fit and finish of the furniture is lacking compared less expensive brands such as Pulaski. I would definitely not EVER recommend Ashley furniture to anyone as their quality is very poor compared to their price point and corporate customer service (including escalation priorities for inconvenienced customers) is significantly lacking! read more

We've shopped Ashley Furniture in the past and always had a positive experience. My trip there yesterday, was no exception. I was assisted by Kim and Kait. Both ladies were extremely professional, knowledgeable, and attentive. Kim was extremely patient with me and my decision making process. She listened to my thoughts and did everything she could to help me make the right choice in furniture. Kait was equally helpful and showed me several couch variations that met my requirements. She even brought me an entire ring of paint swatches to compare to each piece I was considering. Best of all, neither of these ladies pressured me or gave an outlandish sales pitch. I felt comfortable, respected, and well informed as I shopped. Overall, a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be seeing these ladies again. I scheduled my delivery for this past Saturday, a couple days before delivery I received a call that 2 of my pieces were not going to be available for the delivery date (upsetting as I had gotten rid of the furniture that was in there anticipating delivery but at least I was getting the largest piece a sofa). I was called within my window of delivery by an automated dialer asking to rate my delivery. WHAT DELIVERY, noone had been here yet. Concerned, I called the scheduling number. After several minutes on hold and being disconnected, the rep finally told me that somehow the sofa didn't make it on the truck. She was not sure how and will give me a call Monday morning. I told her that I expect some short of compensation because of this and she said she would also have management contact me. Well, I hadn't received a call. When I called back the rep only offered me an insulting $50. I will NEVER shop here again and I strongly suggest you don't either! read more

Delivery came later than expected window. Had a deal going on at the time where they would cover the interest cost on extended financing. We qualified for only a partial amount of our bill and placed the rest on my regular credit card. After catching the sales rep sneaking on multiple items, they pulled it off of the no interest financing instead of lowering my regular card payment, which was not clearly apparent until later. NO STARS, I bought furniture in this store, less than 6 months the frame in the sofa cracked. They would not replace the sofa. They sent a repair man, he couldn't fix it. They picked up the sofa to take to the shop to fix. I was without a sofa for 19 days. Before my year was up, it cracked again in the same place. They told me since I moved the warranty is voided. (I might have done something to it in the move.) How insulting is that? No children or pets, single person. We had two prices on the same item from other stores, and she nearly met the lower of those two, with free delivery thrown in. My first time ordering furniture from here on February 2nd spending over 6000$ and I am very disappointed. I was told I would get my furniture by February 20th then they called and said February 28th. The day before they came, which I took off work for they called and said they would not have all of it. I am finally receiving the last piece of furniture on the 14th of March. They would also constantly call the secondary number on the account which is someone that doesn't live with me but was put as a secondary contact just in case and I would not receive the phone calls. I received multiple calls on the same day from different people from Batavia New York telling me the same thing over and over. They called March 13th the secondary number to say the furniture would be here between 445-745 and today I just got a call at 2 pm saying it would be there in 15 minutes. 15 minutes go by and I get a phone call asking if I will accept early delivery and they would be here in 30 minutes. Trying to get them to come and replace the chairs, and they keep rescheduling it and refuse to send someone over. Joe, the sales rep at the door didn't even get up when we came in, gave us a flyer and told us to walk around to find a sectional and told us to get him when we were ready. Then, when I went to see about purchasing a chest of drawers to match my bedroom set, the first girl on the right at the computer told he she could not help me and to talk to the girls at the left. I am beyond disappointed with our dining room table purchase. The table looks terrible after a few months of light use. I've called the store, corporate, customer service and the extended warranty dozens of times, only to be blamed for how the table looks. First it was my fault for not using a table cloth. Insurance came out and looked at the table, said it was not fixable and that they would send out a new top. Insurance called me and deemed the issues a manufactures warranty, stating the finish did not fully dry before the seal was put on. Well, Ashley Homestore does not agree with these claims. They reviewed the pictures and are making their own judgement. Now they are blaming me for using a light all natural cleaner. There was no paperwork or info stated during our purchase on how to clean or not clean this table. The insurance tech did not state anything about cleaner, just that it was a defect, yet they don't believe him! Am I not supposed to clean the table my family eats off?!? I work in maintenance and come across similar items frequently. I know for a fact this cleaner has not taken any of the finish off this table. The problem is that we were sold JUNK that no one wants to take the fault for. This was our first big furniture purchase as adults, upgrading from hand me downs and we could not be more let down. We made it very clear that we need durable furniture due to a toddler in the house, yet we were sold this rubbish! The part that gets me the most is when customer service won't listen to me and goes on to make me feel stupid! We will NEVER be purchasing through Ashley or referring this company again, unless our issue is remedied, which I unfortunately don't see happening. read more

We love our sectional very much but getting it was quite the chore! It was first delivered the wrong color. When we called to state we got the wrong color...we made SEVERAL phone calls to SEVERAL different people to try to get this corrected. Each one kept telling us "we'd get a call tomorrow" & that call never came. We always ended up calling someone else a couple days later. Finally we got somewhere & Ashley Furniture called stating they would deliver our correct furniture & take the wrong furniture at the same time....3 weeks later! We kept advising everyone from the beginning we had 2 Black Labs & a cat. They told us to keep it in "new" condition. You try that with 2 dogs & a cat!!! We covered the furniture with every flat sheet we had but we still had to sit on it because it's a sectional in the middle of our room & how else are we going to watch TV? It was a long 3 weeks. Bought Two Couches a few months ago when one of the motors on the recliner stopped working . Called customer service they sent part, tech got to our house..... Wrong Part sent a motor the problem was a switch . Called customer service again talked to a supervisor she swore they would send the correct part . Part arrives called the tech guy gets there, wrong part they sent a power converter not a switch. Call customer service yet again when I was upset with the person on the phone she could could care less would not arrange for part to be overnight ed . Soooooo the part arrives yet again called the tech he arrives looks at the box said this doesn't look right opens it yup Wrong part it was a motor again. Called customer service who could care less had to Make her talk to the tech. Would not overnight the part . I called the store asked for the Manager she offered me a store credit (as if I would step in this place again) Found out when I asked for the owner that she really wasn't the manager got to him he could care less and transferred me back to customer service . So we originally purchased our furniture in September, the entire spring system in our couch broke the first week in December, I understand sometimes there is a bad seed, no problem we paid for the extra coverage right? Wrong!!!! They canceled our appointment to fix our furniture twice, finally they said never mind just go pick out a new couch so we drove the 45 minutes to the store, reselected a couch and found a floor mirror we like also. So we bought it. Then they call us and say the floor mirror is discontinued. So we call the store and they say the one on the floor has been purchased. What?? Our salesman said it was in stock. So in 7 days it was discontinued and the floor model was sold to someone else after our purchase?? Seriously? What a nightmare this has all been. I wish I could travel back in time and never buy this furniture ever again. I purchased a sofa, recliner and chair from Ashkey furniture specifically the Darcy set. Once we received it I noticed right away the cushions on the sofa and chair would not stay on. While you sat on the cushions they would slide out from under you. I contacted the corporate office and explained the problem, the customer service agent couldn't understand how the cushions just constantly slide off burn she did inform me that I bought the cheapest set and it was "basically junk" according to her. After they sent new cushions out which did not correct the problem they finally sent a repair man out. He spent all of 5 minutes in my home and said they would need to send someone else out to try to tighten up the material on bottom of the couch. So 2 weeks later another repairman comes out takes on look at it and said this is a MANUFACTURER DEFECT and not repairable. He wrote up the work order and stated manufacturers defect and I signed the paper. He stated that someone should be calling From the corporate offices within a couple days. 4 days later I called them to be told by an extremely rude woman that there was nothing wrong with my furniture and the case was closed! I said well you better read the work order that I sainted because that was not the case at all once she looked at the paper signed she saw what was written by THEIR repairman clearly she didn't like it and informed me that he changed the order after he left my home and the furniture was fine!! I said that was ridiculous and how could you just change it? She stated she agreed completely?? After arguing with several different people I requested a supervisor who was extremely unfriendly and didn't care one bit. She kept saying you've had this furniture for 2 months there's nothing we can do even though I contacted them and opened the claim within a week of the delivery. They were purposely dragging it out. Finally after cub arguing she allowed me to reshop for different furniture. I went in and selected a completely different set. Delivery day rolls around and 2 thug looking guys show up one was very friendly they other was a jerk as soon as he walked in my home. He immediately began taking pictures of the defective furniture then they carried it all out. They brought in the 2 new chairs and then went outside, at that time I recieved a call From the corporate office from some woman telling me that due to the severe damage done to my defective furniture (mind you they still would not say that it was defective) that they would not be bringing in the rest of my furniture and would be taking the new stuff back out and bringing my damaged furniture back in!! There was Nothing wrong with the old stuff other than the manufacturer defect. I informed her that they would not be removing anything from my home and that they were not bringing the junk furniture back in. And I hung up! I closed my door when I they approached with the defictive couch. I informed them I was not opening my door until they had my new couch. The rude thug then proceeded to try to knock my door down! After standing in the truck for 20 minutes I went out and said they needed to get my new couch in as I had other things to do. The rude thug informed me I needed to call the corporate office and try to come to a resolution, I informed him there was no resolution to come to and I had a bill of sale for the new furniture and I wasn't going to keep playing his game he then came back to my door And proceeded to try to walk in however the door was locked so once again he tried to knock the door down. He stood outside yelling that I needed to open the door so he could take my furniture that had been brought in. At that time I was afraid of what he might do to me so I called the police. I informed him through the door that the police were on their way and he was to go wait in his truck. All the while the corporate office was blowing my phone up. Moments before the police arrived they decided to bring my new couch to the door I opened it as the police officers were walking up. The rude thug then proceeded to yell me and I told him he needed to leave my home. The police escorted him out and stayed while the other guy finished putting the feet on my sofa. All in all I suggest you save yourself a lot of time and hassle and shop elsewhere cause once they take your money they don't care about the customer. read more

I went into Ashley Home store in Fairlawn , OH last year in October purchased new living room furniture and a mattress.. I bought the mattress under the Sleep Guarantee. This means if you do. Or like the mattress they will come pick it up and you can pic!Out another mattress, so I was told. That is not exactly how it works with Ashley. They offer a service,then when you go to use it, they do everything but provide the service. First they do not explain how it truly works. I called customer service, and I use that term extremely loosely, they provide the worst customer service I have ever come across.i was advised at that time I must sleep on the matress for 30 days before they will exchange the mattress and if and when I do exchange it I will have to pay a delivery fee.i went back to the store to pick another mattress. I ended up picking a less expensive mattress. At this exact time I was informed I woul not get a credit for the price difference. Is that even legal? I spent hours trying to find a mattress I liked at the same price. Finally they decided to give me the price difference,almost all of it anyway, in a$350 gift card for Ashley. At this point I would have taken anything to make up the actual difference of $497.48,which was not offered to me. I waited weeks for them to come exchange the mattress. When they finally came,during the winter not wearing any foot protection what so ever, the new mattress had a small hole in it. I immediately called customer service,who offered to give me yet another store credit to keep the mattress. I declined and asked for another mattress. To shorten the story, after the 4th delivery of a mattress with rolls tears oil or grease on it ruining my carpet, I refuse the last mattress told them to credit my financing and that would be the end of me with Ashley Furniture and any mattress deal. That was in February. I still had the $350 gift card for the price difference. I ordered a few things to try to use the card, which was my money not theirs. The store never called me to say the things were in. I forgot to mention that I complained to Ashley and received a phone call from Christy at Corporate. I called Christy to tell her and she stated the gift cards were cancelled because I never received the mattress. I had spoke to Christy I don't know 4 times with my whole traumatizing mattress experience. She still seemed like she had no idea what was going on and actually seemed almost argumentative with me over the gift cards. She told me I had been credited in full for both mattresses. Well that never happened. It is now April 20th 2017 and I have still yet to be credited in full for the mattress that they shipped and I refused. So, what I am saying is do not buy a mattress from Ashley Furniture. Pray you never need help from customer service. I truly should be credited $497.48.. as I stated this was winter deliveries. As nice as the delivery guys were they never wore booties. My carpet was soiled each time they came. I mentioned that to Christy who is supposedly a corporate manger it did not phase her in the least. She offered nothing to make a customer happy or satisfied. This was the worst experience ever. I will never buy from Ashley Furniture again and would never recommend them to anyone. I am still waiting on my credit from February on the mattress and I feel like there is no one to call for help. Maybe Synchrony that is who Christy told me to call and tell them I should not be getting charged for the mattress. Now, is that my responsibility to fix their mistake? Not one person I talked to Ron customer service to corporate cared one bit about me or the money I spent at their store. My family went in to look for a dresser for our daughter. As a proud Veteran I wanted American made and asked for that along with if they give a discount for my service. The saleswoman said all the kids furniture was American made and that I would get a 5% military discount so we ordered a nice white dresser. We also needed a new solid wood bookcase to secure child tie downs since old partical board one would not hold the screws for them, it just split even after drilling pilot holes. They only had a few on display so the saleswoman showed us a book containing more options. First few pages had small pictures and prices. We looked at the later pages that had bigger pictures and discriptions and found a really nice one with a solid wood core and she went to the computer to get the price. After she left I was like the prices are on the first pages so I went back to them and found the one we wanted and it said the price was $199. She came back and said it was almost $500 and I asked about the price in the book. She saw it and said your right and let me show the manager. She came back and said sorry but that was their purchase price and that those first few pages should not have been in the book for customers to see and said that they would give me 10% off each piece I wanted to order instead of the 5% for the error. That is nice but even with that it was still around $250 more than the price that was in the book! I was upset at this but needed both pieces because my wife was 7 months pregnant at the time and didn't want to deal with being there any longer so I bit my tongue and paid it. The kicker came when I went to pick the pieces up. The "American made" dresser had the words made in vietnam printed on the box!!! I was livid and asked for a manager to come back and explain to me what happened to the words made in America. He did apologize and gave me another 10% off but I will not buy anything else from them ever and tell everyone, and I mean everyone, my story and ask them to not shop with them either.
