I saw the items sitting on a cart by the front door and several customer service employees with no customers at their registers playing on their phones. I called the number on the sign and was told the order would be brought out in 5 minutes. That was 30 minutes ago. I called again and asked for a manager and no one picked up. The customer service associate said she didn't think there was a manager working today (Friday July 31st).

Yesterday, I purchased a new hot water tank because mine jumped off a cliff. I selected a unit,…read moretook a picture of the sku, and went to customer service to pay for it. I requested that they deliver it and they agreed to do so the next day. I received a phone call in advance, which was nice. The truck showed up, and they placed the heavy hot water tank in my garage. I then asked for them to move it to the basement, which was basically the reason I paid for delivery. But I was told that they're not allowed to move hot water tanks into houses. They packed up and left. I was disappointed because I paid for delivery and I should be able to say where to place the unit. Instead, I had to get my family together to slide the thing down the steps, which was fun, let me tell you. Next day delivery was nice, but they should allow the homeowner to dictate where it goes, within reason.

Prior to the service call I was asked detailed questions about the repair in order to plan for any parts that may be needed. I was asked for a convenient time for me for the repair! Jamal kept me informed of the status of arrival which is most appreciated. Jamal, after repairing the dryer, ran it as well as the washer to assure everything was working properly. My opinion of service has changed since working with The HomeWorks Repair Service. They made me feel valued and respected. The entire process was as delightful as it could have been. I am comforted knowing that I now have a person to call for appliance repair who I can trust and look forward to working with! The HomeWorks Repair Service is highly recommended.

I ordered some heavy duty metal shelves online that were installed in my basement. Within an hour…read moreof ordering the shelves, which were in stock at this Lowe's store, I received a follow-up email indicating my order was ready. I promptly drove to the store, excited to get my new shelves. When I arrived, I drove to the curbside pickup parking spots and called the phone number on the sign. I dialed the extension for curbside pickup and an employee answered the phone promptly. I gave him my order number and he asked me which parking space I was sitting in. I gave that to him and he said my shelves would be brought to my minivan within five minutes. Three minutes later, two employees were carting two large boxes to my minivan. Prior to leaving my house, I cleared the contents of the rear of the minivan to accommodate large boxes. Because the boxes weighed 156 pounds each, the employees asked me to help them load them into my van, which I did. The boxes were in perfect condition upon inspection, so we loaded them into the car. The shelves installed without a hitch and now I have a ton of stuff stored neatly in my basement instead of having it slung all over the place. These shelves were $159.99 at Lowe's and $195.20 at Home Depot at the time I bought them online. This was a great experience.

Big thrift store with good selection of clothes, decent amount of other items. Prices are OK,…read morealthough the new pricing system as of late 2025 can be a bit confusing. The people working there are friendly and helpful, although it seems to be a bit understaffed. The Fairlawn Salvation Army thrift store used to be one of my favorites, then they eliminated some of the discount colors and then went to a system with most of the clothes being priced according to what they are, i.e. pants and shirts are $4.99 and there is one color that is half price (although on Wednesdays everything except one color are half price). On my most recent visit they have backtracked a bit so that most of the brick a brack and shoes are individually priced. There are still some good values, however the selection seems to be not as good and it can be confusing what certain things cost. The advantage of the current system is that if you find a high quality piece of clothing you do get it for a good price. The non-clothing selection has definitely decreased, the selection is limited and there are not a lot of interesting items. In the past I have found some really nice items, but now it seems like most of the stuff is nothing really special. Overall a pretty good thrift store, but not worth a trip just for thus store.

We couldn't do same day, so we met the following morning. Just as hoped, the guy kept it straightforward, honest, helpful and as described. A little context: Originally Sears was out (yes, they still exist). Having repaired a few refrigerators, garage doors and operator control boards myself over the years, I knew things weren't right with these Sears guys (yes, plural -- well, one in training, poor sod). They weren't dishonest, really, just excessive. Especially with cost (...pretty obviously constrained by dinosaur policy -- what felt geared towards getting a fleeced customer to buy a new appliance from Sears). The Sears guys estimated a four-figure two-man project, including for two off-the-shelf generic machine screws, $37 each, parts only. (Still had to pay them for coming out.) Bless their little hearts. I can see how people get bamboozed by this blue-shirted Sears "professionalism". Hearing good things, I contacted Daniil. And in a little more than a day, paid an eighth of the price for way more, better, no-nonsense, good natured, in-and-out service. With warranty. (Sears' job was to be "As-is" for an older-ish appliance in excellent condition.) We're grateful, Daniil -
