THE BINS!!!! This is one of my favorite Goodwill locations. I freaking love the bins. So basically the store is divided into two sections. Half of it is the outlet store "the bins" and the other half is the retail store. Do not miss out on either side. The outlet store/the bins is really awesome. They have rows and rows of bins for you to dig through and they rotate/take bins /put new bins in rotation every hour. I suggest wearing a pair of good gardening gloves. Sometimes things are broken and sometimes things are sticky. Not everything is completely thrown about in these bins too. Some of them have some kind of organization. Each bin is organized by a type of thing, whether it be clothing, dishes, toys, shoes, decorations, etc. I'm not sure if this is stuff that used to be in the retail store and never sold or they just have too many things to be able to go through them. I personally have found some really great things on the bins side. Plenty of vintage dishes, vintage clothing, a pair of vans sneakers, a pair of kids crocs, wall hangings, furniture, wedding dresses, etc. on the outlet side everything is charged by the weight. So at the end, you separate glassware from basically everything else and you pay by the weight of the stuff that you purchased. But don't skip the retail store side. They have some really great things there too. They have a very large home good section, furniture section, wall hangings section, books/records, and plenty of clothes to dig through. The great thing about this location is they have a rewards card that you can use at any location I believe in that area - i'm not exactly sure what the ranges but I know that you can use the same card at the Canton outlet store. You can rack up points to get I think 25% to 35% off. You can earn points on both sides of the store, but you can only cash in your rewards on the retail side. I am really glad that I was introduced to the store by a friend who loves thrift we go together probably every three months. read more

What the hell happened to Goodwill!? I walked in today instead of having things on shelves and racks, they had blue bins on legs like tables, and everything was just thrown in there. You might find a pair of children's shorts next to a teacup inside a box with some old crayons!!????? Talk about trashy! Evidently, they don't even bother to sort things for you anymore. I've never seen anything like this and I hope I never do again. I will not be back to this location anytime read more

apparently they have an unspoken dress code. i came in to shop in 90 degree weather and spent over 60$ when i went to check out the kind employee said "i don't mind but i did receive a couple complaints about you. your top." he said waving at my chest. im wearing full length black yoga pants and a sports bra. again its 90 degrees outside. i do also have quite a few tattoos not sure if that made it worse as my chest and stomach are tattooed. i was told to wear something that covers more next time i come in. will do! hope you dont mind sweat! read more

This is for the Goodwill on Green. I purchased a glass item the they had covered in wide tape as the lid sat down inside with the price. I took it home and took off the tape and lifted the top and it was hidden by the tape but had a huge piece missing on the rim that they tried to hide. It was 10$ .. I took it back today as I was unable to go back the next day because I had surgery. I cut my hand when lifting the top .I had my receipt and the manager was rude and said no returns over and over. He was rude and talking about me as I left it on the counter.Their prices are high above even the original tags from where they came from. Be careful what you buy and peel back the tape before you buy. I will find out his name and post it. They really are never busy because of prices. I had had enough of his rudeness so I will find out his first name and post it. Prices are higher than retail so you really have to be careful. It's christmas and he obviously doesn't like his job. First time coming here, this goodwill store is definitely way more different than other goodwill stores. Their shirts are more overpriced there's no price tags either just more so by a plastic string.... The other section is more like "random stuff" you can pay by the pound. Features wedding dresses and jewelry too. This store does have it all though. read more

I just received a DVD collection from this location that I bought on eBay. I haven't played the discs yet but they are in perfect condition and I don't anticipate an issue with them. The cases were also in excellent shape. The price was almost 50% less than other eBay sellers! My order shipped quickly and had a tracking number assigned to it from FedEx so it was easy to see where it was in real-time. Based on my experience with this location I would recommend them to others. read more

Half outlet/half retail store. Rummage through the bins first for overlooked treasure sold by the pound but do not overlook the retail store--- especially for clothing basics and home goods. I bought draperies for my whole house-- two bucks a panel. . .and nice ice trays. There was a ton more but I had to cut up my debit card and walk away. (I will return!) read more

The Goodwill store on Waterloo Road is my family's favorite Sunday morning haunt! Whether we're looking for purses or mid-century modern furniture or gadgets, this is THE place! We always grab a cart and head for the books/art section first. The "Wares" section is of particular interest... not a Sunday goes by that one of us doesn't stick our hands into a sea of flatware and pull out an unknown object. A flurry of cell-phone activity often ensues as we search for the true use of said object. Do we require this particular tool in our arsenal? No. Do we want to possess it? Yes. The story behind it is just "too good". My sister is especially interested in old oil paintings. There is a movement afoot whereby artists buy old paintings and re-imagine them with modern accents. A sullen New England seashore with a lighthouse is suddenly overtaken by the Loch Ness Monster. It's really quite genius. To those of us with a sense of humor, it is hilarious. Who else is buying this type of painting... really? To be fair, we found Goodwill to be an amazing resource while selling a home. We staged the unoccupied home with items from Goodwill: towels, sheets, pillow shams, bed spreads, wall decor, rugs, shower curtains, paintings, candle holders, knick-knacks, a teapot and wall clocks! I am not keen on buying clothes at Goodwill. I have heard that "nicer" clothes, such as Levi's jeans, are shipped overseas because it's more profitable than it would be to sell them here in the States. Not a fan. The staff at our Goodwill is like a family to us! We always see familiar, smiling faces. There is always a wave or kind word or handshake or hug. Maybe we'll see you this Sunday! read more

What can I say. I love goodwill. Supports a good cause. They have new things from well known stores like kohl's and target . It's fun to spend time looking around, browsing or coming to look for a specific thing. Sometimes when I can't find something in a store, I know Goodwill has it. It's always an adventure. Employees are nice and helpful. I prefer shopping at Goodwill than other places to be honest. Relaxing and no one bothers me. read more

One of the absolute best Goodwills I have ever been to. Walking into this place is like walking into Sears. Everything is clean, giant glass windows, miles of clothes and furniture and books and shoes and everything else. I never leave this place empty-handed. Plus, fitting rooms! One of the neatest features about this particular place is that in the back, where they process all donated items, there is an area where patrons can buy clothing by the pound and an assortment of other things that just don't fit in the main showroom. This is the biggest Goodwill I've ever been to. But, for the size, it lacks a good selection. I only walked out with 5 items after 2 and a half hours. Maybe I'm too picky but I feel as though a store this roomy could offer more. Still, compared to thrift stores that overstuff their racks, this place is a relief. The prices advertised on the racks seemed high, yet when I checked out, I felt as though it was much cheaper than the signs indicated. No complaints. Bonus points for being able to freely walk in and out of fitting rooms without taking a number! read more

They continue to price wares with a Sharpie instead of their normal grease pencils. I repurpose as a business and won't buy items priced with Sharpies because there is the chance I can't totally remove the price. I've had items where you can still read the price after attempts to remove. Medina today and Brunswick this week both used Sharpies on items I would have bought for my business but woudnt. I was in the check out line a few weeks ago and lady ahead of me had a pair of shoes that were priced on the top with a Sharpie. She asked the cashier how to get the price off. Girl said anything with alcohol like hand sanitizer. She then took the hand sanitizer and couldn't get the price totally off. Customer couldn't buy the shoes because they were ruined. Dee Dee at Goodwill Corporate continues to tell me the stores have been told not to use Sharpies directly on items but they do. Waste of donated items. read more

You can find designer labels at this and all Akron area Goodwill stores, including Waterloo Road, Canton Road, and State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. Many stores donate new items with the tags still attached. Each day they feature a different color "tag" on the clothes for 1/2 price. If you shop here alot, get a frequent shopper card and when you get it filled with stamps, you get 35% off your purchase. They also feature 1 day a month with 35% off your entire purchase. read more

HUGE Goodwill - the biggest in the Akron area. That said, it's always crowded, the products are just so-so, and since it's so big, product turnover can seem slow at times. Definitely worth checking out (if nothing else, then because of its size) but not one of my favorites. read more

Prices are too high.. I see used stuff from dollar tree, and they want a dollar for it?

Stopped by your store today, but wasn't allowed to shop due to my daughter & I not wearing masks. I stated we both have a medical condition, so we are exempt from the governors mandate. I was told we could not shop regardless. At no time did she state you have special shopping hours for those not able to wear a mask, even though it was posted on the door. We couldn't shop those hours anyhow. I asked the woman for a statement in writing that we weren't allowed to shop, due to no masks, so I could report your store for violation of the ADA. I also stated that it is pretty ironic that a business that employs & gives opportunities to disabled individuals would discriminate against medically disabled individuals who would like to shop there. When I asked to speak to a manager, then I asked if she was a manager, she walked away saying she was done dealing with me & was going to get security. I never once raised my voice with her, & I was very respectful asking her these questions. Also, I shopped in this very store, maskless, 3 weeks ago, & no one said a word to me. Once this mask mandate is lifted, I can absolutely guarantee I will NEVER spend another penny at your store, nor donate any goods like I frequently used to. Went their seeking some bargains on the day after Christmas. The place is spacious, has vending machines and adequate restrooms and changing/fitting rooms. The problem is that the men's clothing was of poor quality. I think the key to thrift store shopping is to check the places that are close to some upper-level neighborhoods. This area is amid mostly urban, lower-middle to middle class areas which may be why the clothing quality was below average. I recommend the Goodwill on Route 18 on the western end of Medina, or the Village Thrift Store in Cuyahoga Falls. read more
