Ashley to me is a bit above rooms to go, but a bargain place with great selections and nice looking rooms. I spent about 5K on a large pit group couch and ottoman 3 years ago and its pretty worn for a leather/mix large piece, but it has seen a lot of use with 4 boys. First trip here for the couch when they opened or near ( around 2014) , we had excellent service, a great sales girl and ended up getting the couch and many accessories and spent some money. Now years later, my mom is sizing down and was in need of a new living room, couch, love seat, tables, that were brighter and fit better in her new home. So I pull up, get her wheel chair out, get her in, park the car and take her in. We went in and she immediately started seeing eye catching things, but there was no one up front, and not many in the store. So we go to the left where we saw several things she liked, got her up to try a sofa, they really have nice looking pieces everywhere!!. I wheeled here around more and after 20 plus minutes there finally passed an employee, said good morning and - nothing... Preoccupied- maybe, ignore a customer, unacceptable. Nod, say hi, she was not on the phone. So mom and I wheeled around the other side, looked a bit more then headed out. Nothing was really exciting and we were on our way to rooms to go in buford to see if they had what she needed. She's elderly and just needs something to last 5 years or less, but both are perfect for this. As we were leaving, finally a "kid", 22 year old guy came up and sat down at the front desk, I had to look him in the eye for him to speak- and he said "good place to look around isn't it".... I said yes and left. Mind you, doors were not automatic and going in and out, I had to get my mom and wheelchair out on my own, while the kid sat there watching us struggle getting through the door. Attn Mangagement!! Read your last reviews. I really liked this place back a few years ago. Sales must be down as if you think someone is going to go to the trouble to get his mom up, into a wheel chair, browse around a store for the fun of it... think again.Ask us if we can be helped and I bet we would have bought something. We did just that at Rooms to go. Of all places!! We went there- got greeted and asked how they can help- told him what we wanted, took us right to it- negotiated all the tables and furniture and spent thousands of dollars . Cash. ( in case you guys were judging I was in shorts with an elderly lady in a wheel chair?) Don't forget, elderly ladies have more money to spend in many cases- and cash so suck up. You have lost a customer now and won't be back to this location. Could have just been a bad Saturday to shop ( wait- best day of the week?)- but staff cost you money. They take your money but don't follow through on delivery time or promises. I purchased SEVERAL pieces of furniture on February 5, 2020, one of which was a table with 4 bar stools (there was something wrong with each piece of furniture). The table was scratched out of the box and ALL four chairs are wobbly. I have been fighting this entire time to get the chairs repaired. I finally asked for an return.but they won't do returns (which they don't tell you this in the store). They finally agreed to do an exchange on July 9, 2020 and guess what... NO RESPONSE to my calls or emails. This company is a complete FRAUD and they absolutely do not care about their customers. This location has the worst customer service ever encountered ! We had placed an order for side table and called the store couple of times with no proper response so finally decided to drive to store and check on the order as arrival date had passed . We spoke to sales person - Angeline , who was really rude and said they would be able to fulfill the order we fully paid for whenever they can though the product was available ! Placed an order in June with a July mid delivery promise. It's end of august i go in to the store and was told it won't be in stock till November. Recently purchased a new sectional (and the sales process went well). It arrived with the "leather" backing damaged in a bottom corner. We called the store during hours they were open and got no answer. Then, the power recliner broke (to the point that you can't sit back in it). This was within two weeks of our purchase. My husband figured out that a bracket that holds the back piece in place was broken. When he had this piece off, we noticed another part where the "leather" had worn off. We had barely sat on the couch a couple times and had not moved it, so we were losing hope that we had made a good purchase. We visited the store and spoke to customer service. We were told that a technician could come out, but that we would not be able to return it or trade it! The technician did come and had to order two new pieces of fabric and a bracket, I assume, to be shipped to our house. In the meantime, we have to wait for the parts to arrive and then call to make another appointment, all when we have company coming to visit. We are very displeased. read more

This was my first visit to an Ashley Homestore and my last visit to an Ashley Homestore. They get a one star review because that is as low as I can go. I went to Ashley Homestore in Cumming, Georgia on July 19, 2019 and purchased a recliner. The chair was delivered to my home on July 25. All was well until Saturday evening, August 3, when the chair turned over on me when I was letting my feet down to stand up. Monday, August 5, I called the store and was connected with Tyler, the store manager. After explaining to him what had happened he told me that he would have to send someone out to look at the chair and determine if there is a defect in order to do a return. He indicated to me that it could have been customer misuse and he would only do a credit if their was a defect and he would check his calendar and call me back in five minutes with a day that someone could come to my home. He did not call back. I waited for his call until September 3. When I called and ask for Tyler the young lady ask for my name. She came back and wanted to know why I needed to talk to Tyler. I told her and she came back and told me that there was nothing that he could do. I was so unset at this point at being totally dismissed by their store manager, Tyler. I told her to please tell him that he could keep my $823.88 and I would keep his chair in my garage for my dog to sleep on, and please tell him that I will go on every review page I can find and give him a review. I ordered an entertainment center back on September 10th and it was to be delivered on Sept 16th. Somehow, the delivery date got changed to Sept. 11 and it never showed up. When the 16th came, no delivery so I called to see what happened. They couldn't find the piece. This went on for 2 weeks and the piece was no where to be found. My guess is that it's sitting in someone else's living room. Here it is Jan. 1st and we have no entertainment center, no refund of our money. Our last visit to the store this past week, I told them I either get my money back or I'll take it to small claims court. Here it is Jan. 1st...no entertainment center, no refund. It appears sales staff is encouraged to tell customers the item will be delivered in 2-3 weeks even though the sales staff knows it won't be. Then when the customer comes into the store to inquire where the item is they are told ANOTHER 2-3 weeks, then when the customer comes back they are told again ANOTHER 2-3 weeks. Caveat emptor, let the buyer beware. We will NEVER shop in Ashley again. read more

Great selection of furniture. Ashley has come a long way from when we used to shop there years ago. LOVE the new Urbanology selection. It offers a look that you have to pay double for in other furniture stores. We ordered a queen bedroom set and dining room set. Great sales person and sales price as well. Do not shop at this store! They are crooks. Purchased a table and chairs and had them delivered and the next day contacted them about a return because they would not fit . They say they have a no return policy. We have been dealing with this store for over 30 days now and no one has returned our calls and every time you call customer service they transfer you to someone else and then you get hung up on. As a consumer I have never dealt with such poor customer service. Buyer beware with this location. I would recommend you never walk in the door, it has been a terrible experience. read more

I purchased an expandable foam mattress in a box and it was delivered. I signed for it. The instructions say to give it 48 hours to fully expand so I did. Now they tell me that when I signed, that I was accepting the merchandise and agreeing that all was good. How was I to do that with the instructions? Well the supposed 8" mattress never even expanded to 6" and 5" in most places. It looks like a mattress topper instead of a mattress. It has become harder that than the job of a one arm wallpaper hanger to get someone on the phone and better yet to have a pleasant conversation about the product. Due to the long waiting period (9 days) for a technician to come out, I had no choice but to order another mattress. I no longer want anything from this store but they tell me (if it's true is yet to be determined) that I could get a store credit. So because a product is not as stated, the customer is at the disadvantage. That is awful customer service. I warn you not to be weary of their policies! read more

Our electric base for the mattress is still a problem. For an additional $200 we purchased a guarantee on the base for one year. We were told by the salespeople that we could return it if they could not fix it. They will not help you they only give you other phone numbers who tell you they can't help you either. Quite possibly the WORST service I have ever received. 5/15 furniture was delivered broken, they took it back. said I would have to call customer care to reschedule, we had paid for premium delivery. called customer care, told me they couldn't do anything til the next day. I had taken an entire day off of work for this. I explained this, and was told I would be called back the following morning at 9am sharp to rescheduled. 5/16 the next day, 10:45 am no call back, I called in myself to discover I had been rescheduled for the following Friday over a week later. I asked what the earliest date was and they told me the next Tuesday. not only was i not notified, but I was also not prioritized as a messed up delivery. Then, they told me they could not compensate me for the premium delivery, the store would have to do that. Called 5/16 to the store and was told the managers were in a meeting. I asked to be called back, no call back. 5/17 called again, got told the managers were busy, and got put on hold for 8 minutes until I was disconnected. No call back. Contacted customer care again on 5/28 and told the store has to handle it. Called again today 5/30 and was told the manager was busy again, I left my name and phone number again. Thank you to Manisha who was actually very nice, but I'm just hoping I finally get a call back to get compensation for the delivery fee. Please don't waste your time here, god forbid something goes wrong good luck getting in touch with someone. read more

I purchased my 1st BRAND NEW EMPTY home and was ready to drop serious cash for all 5 bedrooms. New to the area I figured I would come visit Ashley HomeStore to check out the inventory. My hubby and I came here walked around for 10 minutes and no one I repeat no one came to approach us asking if we needed help. They are in the middle of construction so there labeled areas are a bit misleading so we spent time trying to locate the kids corner. It was clear that we needed guidance to say the very least. We decided it was time to leave and we would not spend our money at this location. On my way out, I approached a sales associate who seemed to be a bit flustered when he saw that I was coming to his direction and it seemed he was walking away from me. So not only did no one approach us now you're trying to run away from us. I told him we were looking for the kids corner and no one approached us to assist us. He provided a lame excuse and proceeded to ask what we were looking for. I told him "Nothing we're leaving now" On our way out one of the other sales associate said "Have a nice day". The same associate who never acknowledged us until we're about to leave. Really? Hate to feel like the color of our skin maybe an issue but what else could it be....Wow! Nightmare. First, I do have to say that the sales person was delightful, helpful and had phenomenal customer service skills. But the good experience ended there. I ordered a bedroom set and a sectional sofa and scheduled delivery while I was at the store and a friend of mine bought a sofa the same day. That's where the trouble started. They couldn't deliver everything to me in one day and I had to schedule delivery a month out and in two different deliveries which meant I had to make arrangements to be home during working hours on two different days. It ended up taking them THREE months and FIVE deliveries to get me all of my furniture. I had to reschedule, because of them not me, multiple times and one time they got the day and time wrong so I asked them to leave the delivery on my front porch (they did that time) but one time they refused to leave or mail the THREE SCREWS that weren't included with my bed. Each time I called, I was required to speak with Customer Service who provided no service and blamed the warehouse or the delivery team. The warehouse blamed customer service or the manufacturer and the poor delivery people didn't really have what they needed to be of any help at all. My commentary when I called customer service was that I really didn't care WHO was at fault because, in my mind, it's ALL Ashley and I just wanted my furniture. Additionally, they required I give them TWO phone numbers even though I paid in full for my order when I bought it and I told them that I rarely listen to messages on my work phone promptly. They insisted on calling my work phone even though I specifically asked them to call my mobile and they even left threatening messages about having to reschedule my delivery if I didn't reply to them immediately (days prior to scheduled delivery). They didn't set up my bed even though it was part of the delivery fees. Oh, my friend who ordered the sofa you ask? He had a similar experience and when they finally did deliver the sofa (months later), it was damaged beyond repair and he was going to have to wait another several months for them to "make him another one" since it was supposedly an item no longer carried. When he went to the store to get a refund, low and behold, the couch he ordered was still sitting on the floor for sale with no indication that it was not in stock. He asked if he could have that one since they were no longer selling it but was told no. He had to basically make a scene in order to get a refund for a couch he had paid for in full 3 months prior. As a side note, I ordered another bedroom set from Rooms2Go and two mattresses from Sears around the same time I bought from Ashley. Both deliveries were scheduled in a reasonable time frame (R2G in 2-3 weeks from purchase and Sears within 1-2 weeks mostly because I had to arrange time to be available) AND delivered without issue the first time and on time. As a matter of fact, Sears delivered my mattresses early and Rooms2Go was able to schedule delivery the day I bought the bedroom. Be aware if you purchase anything from this company. I don't think it's just this location that had the issue. And definitely be careful if you finance. If they can't deliver the right furniture on time to you I'm not sure I'd trust them with my credit. read more

If I could give them a zero, I would. We ordered the Starmore 70" TV stand in May. We finally heard that it would be delivered in late July, but received a call on the delivery day that it had arrived at the warehouse damaged and they would have to send out a new one. I have heard NOTHING else from them. I don't even think they know that my order is still outstanding. We can never get anyone on the phone, and their online messenger doesn't respond. Warning: Do not buy furniture from here. My wife and I bought two reclining sofas. After 6 days the frame started to bend. We went into the location to speak with the manager. We told him the issue and we stated we wanted to exchange the sofas. His response was "you signed for it you own it" I said this is a quality control issue, he stated he would schedule a technician to come out (he never did) I said fine, but when he determines it is damaged I will not want it replaced or fixed as it is 6 days old. which he again stated "You signed for it you own it." Ashley furniture, as a company, in whole, is horrible. It shamelessly sells furniture that is garbage. I bought a soft set 3 yrs ago and the cloth literally wore out in large areas within 1 year. Then, thinking that I just made a poor choice in material, I purchased another sofa set and kitchen table in February this year. It is now May (3months later), and the sofa cushions are horribly shaped and leave large gaps in the seating and 1 arm of the sofa is caved in. The kitchen table is complete garbage. A cold glass sweat onto it during dinner and 3 planks swelled up and expanded like cheap particle board and the eating surface is now uneven. There are also large areas where the surface coating has flaked off, showing the cheap particle wood. Customer service said that they do not cover "water damage" and that I should have used a table cover and coasters! Furthermore, they would not discuss the surface flaking on the other surfaces because "you have already damaged the table". I just want to say, we eat maybe 3 meals a week on the table and if a kitchen table cannot withstand getting wet, that should be stated somewhere. I feel bad for people that have small children! I work hard for my $ and now I have bought 2 rooms of disposable pieces of garbage. read more

Worst experience ever. They deserve no stars. Ordered a package deal and it took three people to ring it up and over 40 minutes. When comforter in comes it's the wrong size and when I take it back to tell them that they say that the right size has been discontinued and that I can trade the comforter but I have to keep all the other tacky pieces that went with it that will match nothing. Like that makes sense. Finally we get them to agree to a new set but they only want to exchange when all the other stuff comes in and it was finally two weeks later when the other stuff made it to my house. We needled the stuff fast so we had to pay cash to get the order on it's way and then will have to return all the stuff when it food finally cones in. They send us a time to deliver the furniture and then call us three hours early to say they'll be at our house in 10 minutes -of course we are not there.They deliver the bedroom set later and the knob is off-center on the nightstand so it has to be returned. The bed rails were chipped while it was put together and of course the guy calls his supervisor and then they said leave them and we will send new ones. When the nightstand comes of course the bed rails do not come and the guy says his supervisor has nothing to do with it and now we're caught up in a mess once again of having bedrails that are chipped and haven't been replaced. A week later we are still waiting on our new bedroom things to arrive-comforter, etc. Still in limbo about whether not we can even get new bed rails. I would expect this service from Big Lots but really surprised by Ashley. Unless you have plenty of time to waste and are ready to fight for your stuff-go somewhere else. read more

How do you give less than one star? Horrible service. Went there no one assisted us. I bought 3 items and supposed to deliver yesterday Sept 17th. I waited more than a week. I even took an off for this because no one will receive the furniture if ever. 17th afternoon I called and ask what time they wl deliver and the girl said it is scheduled on 22nd. I said there is no way because on receipt it was clear 17 and I even took an off. I told them to cancel it because I was so disappointed. She told me to call again at 1:30 and look for Amanda. I did and she said she will text me or call me. 5pm already still not call so I called again and Amanda answered it and seem she was irritated when she found out it was me and said don't worry ma'am I am working till 9pm. They are thieves. I am still being billed for furniture I have never received and and a protection plan that I cancelled within the allowed time frame. The year promotional rate is now ending on my purchase and I will begin paying interest on this. I have called the store multiple times and have come in multiple times to no avail. I am listing each telephone/in person encounter I have had over the past year regarding this matter. I also attempted to contact GBS for a refund last year within the 30 day period and was told I must go in to the store, which I did. Even though, that is NOT what the sales contract states. 2018 8/12/2018- Purchase Date 8/15/2018- Spoke with store rep to cancel entire living room set. Couches came off my statement but not tables. 9/5/18- Spoke with different store rep because we were still receiving calls to have living room items delivered. Never accepted delivery. 9/7/2018- Attempted to cancel protection plan through GBS directly but was told we must go into store in order to receive a full refund. 9/8/2018- Spoke in person with store rep to cancel protection plan and again request to have the tables removed from my statement. At that time we were told all she could provide us with as proof was her business card with the statement "cancelled protection plan" and that it would take several billing cycles for the items to be credited. 2019 7/23/2019- I came in to the store and spoke with a customer service rep who advised me that the Office Manager would get back to me the following day. She made copies of all my receipts and took my number down. I was told the Office Manager would have to pull old paperwork since the order was from 2018. 8/12/2019-Called the store, at that time was told by the Office Manager to call Synchrony as the error may be on their end. I called Synchrony that same day and was told they never received any request from Ashley Furniture to credit my account. My only option would be to file a dispute. 8/12/2019- I called the store AGAIN and asked to speak to Office Manager but was told this person had left for the day. The customer service rep involved your store manager and he was going to look into this issue and would call me back. But again, I have not heard from anyone from the store. 8/13/2019- Spoke AGAIN with the Office Manager and I repeated the entire series of events. I was told again they would look into it. 8/14/2019- Spoke AGAIN with the Office Manager and was told they were waiting for a response from the finance department. 8/25/2019- Email to Office Manager for update. NO RESPONSE. 8/27/2019- Follow up email to Office Manager for update. NO RESPONSE. 9/9/2019- Final email to Office Manager that I have not received a response and will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as disputing the charge with the credit card company. I was so impressed with their in store customer service, quality, and price. that all went downhill once the delivery process started. The original delivery came on time and the drivers were very pleasant. However, one of the pieces was damaged and had to be sent back (common with any furniture delivery - no big deal). But then it started... First they kept calling me to re-deliver, but they had the wrong items. I got FOUR of these calls, and each time a customer service rep said that they would fix the problem and get the correct items and then call me back. Well, NONE of them called me back...ever! I got another call from a rep and they still had the wrong items. When I told her the story, she said that I needed to call the store and work it out. Um, what? You are the ones that have the communication problem Ashley - it's not up to me to fix your logisitics procedures! Finally, the last rep must've indeed contacted the store because we got a later call saying that they would deliver the correct items on X date. Well, to add humor to the story, a truck showed up unannounced - A DAY BEORE our newly scheduled delivery to PICK UP an item! I have no idea where they got that idea from - there was never anything for them to pickup! We will see if they deliver the correct items tomorrow as scheduled. What a mess.
