Avoid Ashley HomeStore if you value honest communication and reliable delivery timelines. I ordered a couch and matching chair and was told at checkout by salesperson Kena Jones that the furniture was on back order for about a month, but that items often arrive earlier and it would likely only take around three weeks. That turned out to be completely inaccurate. Every few weeks the delivery date kept getting pushed back farther and farther. I called regularly for updates and each time it was a different excuse and a different timeline. On top of that, there were several occasions where I sat on hold for 30 minutes or more just trying to get basic information about my order. After months of delays, we finally got another delivery date -- only for it to be changed yet again through a text notification. When I called to find out what was going on, I learned the order had now been split and the couch and chair would arrive separately. The store actually tried to reassure me by saying I wouldn't be charged two delivery fees, which completely ignores the issue. Customers should not have to accept endless delays and broken promises simply because they aren't being charged extra. I remained polite and patient throughout this process, but the service and communication were unacceptable. This has been one of the worst furniture buying experiences I've had. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

I am a big believer in writing about my experiences with service - good and bad. I was a bit apprehensive to go to Ashley's based on the reviews. But they had the sofa/sectional I wanted so I took the risk. We entered the store and was greeted by our sales person, Erica Robertson. She was warm and friendly, but not overbearing. I came clean with her and expressed my concern with some of the quality issues that were expressed on Yelp. This is when her professionalism kicked in. She went on to explain to us the difference in sofas and quality. She went further to ensure that the dimension of our room, worked with the sectional I had selected. In the end, we changed and picked out a sofa and chair with a large ottoman. I felt taken care of and like I could trust her. Also, her design expertise prevent us from having a living room that was plain and boring. She mixed the chair and sofa up and gave me ideas for the room. We ended up buy nice accessories too. The cost was still less than the original sectional we were set on purchasing. Now, we want to redo our dining room. Thank you Erica for respecting our budget and our desire to not accumulate debt. In October we will have enough saved to order that set in time for the holidays. We have moved, but I will still order through Erica. read more

So I purchased a living room and a dining room set. They told me that it would arrive within 2 weeks. They called very polite and told me that my living room set was ready but my dining room set was not complete. So I said okay, deliver what you do have. They delivered the living room and 3 bar stools, (2 were damaged) They were returned. They called me 2 weeks later and told me that the table was not ready but the stools were, I asked them to please wait till all the furniture was complete to make their final delivery. Here it is almost 6 weeks later and I have not received any of my stools or table. I keep getting phone calls that the table is on back order. The salesperson never told me that this could happen. I would have not purchased any furniture had I know that it would take almost 8 weeks to get furniture. I would have gone somewhere else to purchase a dining room set. Sales person was polite and so where the drivers and call center. Polite is good, but not enough to get a good rating. One star for Ashley Furniture. I am on my way to get my money back and return the other Bar stools. Wish me luck,. Very dissatisfied customer. read more

I visited this store several months ago and proceeded to buy a new dining room set that was very expensive but i thought i got a good deal. They promised delivery service and the protection plan which i paid for. The delivery came late, one of the chairs was missing (which was never delivered so my dining table has one missing chair, the lights in the china cabinet do not work and one of the glass pieces is coming out. Not only is the furniture and delivery service sub-par, but their customer services AND the woman Karey F. do not do anything to resolve any customer complaint or situation. Canned responses on the internet and phone calls do not count to remedy the problems caused by this careless and deplorable company. I would be ashamed to work for a place that cares so little about their customers, clients, and the furniture they sell. I hope they go out of business. Also, the managers at this store are useless. I think they have to pass a dumb test to work there. read more

I had been all over Memphis and had searched online looking for one particular item. A friend suggested I go to Ashley Furniture. I had already gone by the store once and didn't see anything I liked. As a last resort, I returned to the store for one final look. I was greeted by Sales Person Tia Gwinn. I explained what I was looking for and Tia was awesome! She walked through the store with me as I looked again. Tia offered suggestions on fabric, stain guarding, size of the furniture piece vs the size of the room I would be placing it in and even colors that may look good with the color of my walls!! I was so impressed with Tia's knowledge of the products that Ashley carries, that I returned several weeks later for another purchase! The young man delivering my furniture was also excellent. He gave care to the products I'd purchased and to my home - careful not to scuff the walls, floors or door frames. Tia was right the items I purchased look great in my home! read more

I went to Ashley's HomeStore (Cordova) and was truly pleased. Mark, the sales representative, is awesome. He is friendly, polite, and very helpful. I was able to find exactly what I wanted. I had to reschedule my delivery date and assumed problems would occur...was pleasantly surprised...no problems. The delivery teams (AG) was "on point". The team was on time, professional, and speedy. The white-glove process, that Ashley's describes, is accurate. Everything was positioned as requested, attention to detail was observed, and all questions/concerns were addressed. While the team was on-site, I spoke, by telephone, with another Ashley's representative, to ensure I had no issues or complaints. I went in the Cordova, TN store with a picture from the internet of the TV stand I wanted to purchase. They did not have that one in the store but Jasper, the associate who was helping me explained they could order it. It also took the time to walk me around to see if we could find one similar to the one I wanted so I could kind of see what it was going to look like. In the process I found a larger one I really liked and got it for almost the same price as the one I was looking for on sale. Jasper was able to give me a discount on the product and delivery so I was in even better shape than planned since I was able to see exactly what I was going to get. I have been buying furniture with Ashley Home Store in Cordova for years and I have always been satisfied. The furniture holds up to the test of time and still looks great! My sales person this time was Mark Mitchell and I will definitely be asking for him again. He was courteous, quick, and professional. I also want to say I was most impressed with the delivery guys. They told me they would be at my house in 20 minutes and that is exactly when they showed up. They set up the bedroom and even asked where I wanted everything. They were careful not to scratch or damage the furniture while being amazingly quick. I am still waiting on a King size mattress to be delivered as it is on backorder but customer service has been great on keeping me up to date. read more

I found the perfect king bedroom set but needed to get approval from the boss (my wife). We came back and she loved it. Our sales person Mark Mitchell made this the most pleasant furniture shopping experience we've ever experienced. He answered all of our questions, assured us of financing, and treated us with the highest level of professionalism that one could expect. Today I had a great shopping experience at the Ashley Home Store in Cordova, TN. They had a very good selection in the mattresses that I was looking for. They also had fantastic customer service. I had an outstanding sales representative, Jennifer Gordon. She was courteous, very knowledgeable and offered excellent recommendations once I told her about my preferences. I even told her that I felt like I had completed a course called "Mattresses 101." With Ms. Gordon's very capable assistance I found exactly what I was looking for in a king and queen mattress set. I usually hate furniture shopping cause you always feel like the sales person is pushing you to buy for their own benefit! Just had a wonderful shopping trip for my eat-in kitchen set at the Cordova store. Since I was on a tight budget with the shutdown, Crystal greeted me as I arrived in the section she was working. Went through 2-3 different sets and finally saw my style of table. She was knowledgeable about the dining sets, who it was style after, shabby chic farmhouse. The customer service exemplified by the workers was superb. I gave the salesman a budget. He (Ishamel)and the manager worked the numbers to ensure that I was satisfied with my purchase. The delivery guys (Micheal and Anthony) went above and beyond their job duties. They couldnt get the furniture in my door, so they left to go get tools from the warehouse to disassemble a certain part so that the furniture could get through the door. My experience was great! I visited the Cordova location on 05/28/16 and was helped by Gabby. I was pricing furniture and Gabby patiently helped me look for all of my wants and needs to find the perfect set for me. I ended up leaving with more than I intended, but the deals were so great and Gabby was do helpful I couldn't turn it down.
