Ashley Store - Couch with the built in sound system - Furniture Stores Near Me - Cordova, Tennessee

This was a mess from start to finish. We were misled about the couch being in stock, and delivery was rescheduled five separate times. We went over a month without a couch because of their mistakes. No accountability, no clear communication. Would not recommend. Said we have a credit for a future purchase. I will never buy from Ashley again read more

Carey Arnett at Ashley HomeStore (2385 N Germantown Pkwy, Cordova, TN 38016) was amazing! She was very helpful and provided excellent customer service from start to finish. Carey helped us find the perfect couch and we got an awesome deal--50% off. She also helped us score a Tempur-Pedic mattress for my little family for 75% off, which was an incredible deal. On top of that, they are very military friendly and gave us a military discount as well. Carey also walked us through the Ashley Advantage credit card program--we were approved and got 0% interest for 60 months!!! Because of that, we were able to get the couch and mattress plus 3 awesome BedGear Storm 2.0 pillows. Highly recommend asking for Carey if you shop here! read more

would rate negative if possible. Nightmare. A salesperson named Cheyenne waited on us. After listening to how she was a flight attendant for 20 mins we found a bed and couch. They charged us to deliver the. screwed it up beyond belief. DO NOT BUY ANY WARRANTIES. Complete scam. They tell you everything is covered the. the company refuses to honor ANYTHING. Our couch was around $7000. It is awful. I hate Ashley because they ripped us off and lied. We have called them repeatedly and get no where. I would NEVER shop here and tell, people to shop ANYWHERE but at Ashley. The items have ZERO quality and their customer service is nasty and useless. I regret ever setting foot in the store!!!!!!! read more

A July 9 delivery of a bed, hybrid mattress and dresser is the cause for this review. The mattress quaity is like a used, poorly refurbished item. it's been 1 week and it has not filled out yet. The dresser has a coin size spot from an Ashley's attempt to patch up damage. No one wants to correct this! Im reminded that once it's in the home a claim must be filed. Texting is the only method of contact to file a claim and after a claim has been filed. when a claim is filed The best response is we will get back to you asap. Their asap appears to be on let it ride time. NEVER AGAIN will I buy ANYTHING from ASHLEY! Selling SUB STANDARD GOODS for new prices. How hard is it to replace the defective items? read more

Went there to buy a couch and made it clear that what I needed. Was taken to the clearance got trice do to buying chair coffee table and end table, all at full price. Not clearance. Then the delivery guys damaged my brand new flooring and didn't bring the power supply to said chair. Told my wife they would be back with it. Never came back! This was back in September. Sent multiple messages regarding these issues. Got little to no response, only enough to try to appease me with no real resolution. I'm hopeful that will change today as finally someone seemingly competent has reviewed my report. read more

The customer service in the store is the worst I have ever seen in any store in any city or state that I have ever lived. I was wondering why their parking lot is so empty now I know why. I was in a store for 25 to 30 minutes trying to find the furniture and the color that I want it and looking for new dining room set. I was actually looking forward to getting my taking care of today but those people were sitting in a circle in the front of the store and nobody ever noticed that was in there until I was leaving the store then somebody approach me and ask if they can help but meantime they were literally for sale she was just sitting around in a recliner sofa sections just talking to each other in on his cell phone. And when I said something about it to one of the gentleman who came in finally say can I help you with something they decided to have a glass of chat about it while I'm standing there you're having a glass of chat about me seeing what I have to say about you not ask you to help me trust me I will not be parts may be from them I am headed to Royal furniture right now we're people greet you at the door read more

I would give them a zero for customer support and warranty if that were an option. Ashley sold me a mattress that was supposed to be a Stearns and Foster / Sealy. Beware of the comfort, guarantee! Less than a year after the purchase, our mattress, became very uncomfortable. After multiple attempts to contact someone in customer support, we were only able to chat with a bot. Weeks after the communication started and failed and start it again we were on schedule for a technician. He came out to our home and was very professional. He said when someone is not lying on the mattress it has to be an 1 1/2 depression in order to be covered. We only had a 1 1/4in depression, so it is not covered under their warranty. Ashley does not want to stand behind the exchange of the mattress because of a 1/4 of an inch. Sealy would not communicate because they want you to deal with Ashley. Apparently, the warranty that comes from the manufacturer is only on manufacture defects. They don't care about your comfort level. This mattress cost thousands of dollars and this is unacceptable. It is a Sealy Luxe Estate mattress. The mattress we purchased was a king size mattress. There is a ridge that it's hard that runs all the way down the center. If you want to lie next to someone, you have to lie on the ridge or you roll off and sink into a hole. No one is willing to accept responsibility. There's mattresses cost way too much for what we are having to go through to try to get a replacement. This is unacceptable! This mattress does not have the comfort level of the one on the showroom floor. I have reason to believe they are not the same quality and standard as what they let you test in the show room. read more

We have purchased from Ashley in the past and it's always been great... however this was the worst most stressful experience purchasing furniture ever. We purchased our furniture back in July here it is October and still don't have all the pieces ordered. I'm beside myself with them. What kind of business is that? Mind you they promised us one date and it's changed several times since. Also, the delivery guys who came smelled so bad it took me hours to get the smell out of my house. I will never purchase from this store again and probably not Ashley either. Update 10/11/19 after posting my previous negative review a member of the management team reached out to see if she can help with getting my two tables delivered sooner. Well they were delivered today in the soaking wet rain without being covered for protection. Also my coffee table was damaged in two different spots which I didn't notice until they left 5 minutes ago. See photos. Lesson learned I won't be purchasing from them... ever. To have to wait this long and then get a soaking wet damaged piece of furniture? My gosh. read more

I won't buy anything from the store no more yesterday, October 8, 2024. My wife and I we came to the store to ask a few questions about a claim that we have on one of the powerbase that we bought from the store we went there to ask for some help. , and one of the members name Lee Turner she act very unprofessional and rude at the same time the lady end up throwing the chair and walk away from us when one of the team members from their office was helping us by the phone. She was very nice and she's stay with us on the phone when all this happened even though we were still at the store the lady she never came by and apologize for her actions so please managers or supervisors from the store make sure these don't happen again in the future with another customers I feel really bad because never in my life. When my wife and I went in to look at new furniture sets, the in-store rep was great. Polite, helpful, and personable. We ended up purchasing a couch and recliner, both motor powered. They told us the earliest it could be delivered was the next Friday (6 days later). So we got rid of the old furniture and day or two before in preparation for delivery, the day of delivery the driver calls and says "We can't come on base because the truck's registration is expired". Dealt with 45 minutes of phone calls before I finally spoke with a human and she basically said we're s.o.l. I was told we couldn't even be considered for rescheduling until 24 hours after the truck returns to the warehouse at the end of the day, and on top of that we would NOT be given priority but would have to go to the back of the waiting list. Unprofessional and incompetent, definitely regretting doing business with this facility. Now, reading all the issues others have had after delivery, I'm seriously considering just cancelling and being refunded as it seems this is only the beginning of a never-ending headache. read more

we purchase a set of recliner on the 25th of July 2020 with a 5year protection on it however the recliner mechanism went out in which they send a service technician out to service it which was ok for awhile but that's the icing on the cake the board of plank in which the mechanism was attached to got broken after about week of installation several techs came out but with different stories until few days ago the last technician inspected it and found out that that last technician that fixed the mechanism damage the board and on and off with Ashley HomeStore for a solution to this issue. My elderly mother and I came to buy a dining table for her home. After telling our salesman that we saw a lower price online from a different store, we asked if they would match that price. It was a very cordial, friendly negotiation up to this point. A young, black, highly effeminate male manager then came over and told us he couldn't price match what I saw. He offered us a different price. I asked him if he could show us this month's lowest price line that furniture stores have available. The manager then lost all composure and turned ugly on us. He finished by saying, "You can leave the store and go buy it at the other store!" The rest of us had all been very relaxed, so it was shocking. All we did was politely try to get the fairest price available. We were there to buy, but run out of the store and stripped of our dignity. I called for the GM later to report the issue but never received the promised call back. read more

STAY AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN FROM THIS PLACE. At first, I thought I was purchasing from a reputable company so I did not think to investigate or look into anything. I purchased a sectional set online and they sent me the wrong item in addition, I had something I am allergic to in the fabric. I have been trying to return the item for SEVERAL WEEKS and I keep getting false promises and waste more and more of my time. They are the biggest rip off company I have ever dealt with in my entire life and I am so shocked that they are allowed to operate in the business world. No matter what you see in this place, save yourself the agony and don't purchase it or give them a penny that you will be guaranteed to loose and be miserable with your purchase. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY!! On June 9, 2020, I purchased furniture for 3 rooms; King Headboard B776-158, king footboard w/storage B776-56S, king panel rails B776-97, 5 drawer chest B776-46, 2 three drawer nightstands B776-93, Dresser B776-31, bar table with storage D647-42, 4 upholstered barstools D647-124S, lift top cocktail table T637-20, power rec sofa U4370247, power rec loveseat U4370218, wedge U4370271, GBS 5 yr protection 5000-5999 at Ashley Homestore in Cordova, TN. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive my entire order. In August, I cancelled my power rec sofa U4370247, power rec loveseat U4370218, and wedge U4370271, because they kept pushing the delivery date back, but for 3 months they kept calling to try to schedule delivery. I should have cancelled the bedroom furniture at that time too, but they talked me into keeping the order open by telling me no other furniture company could meet the delivery dates either due to Covid issues. I am frustrated and disappointed because it has been almost a year and I am still sleeping on the floor. They keep telling me my furniture will be delivered on XX/XX/XX date (which conveniently happens to be a couple of weeks away each time). I've made countless phone calls and texts with nothing but future promise dates. On Jan 21, I was told the furniture would be at the warehouse on the 26th. I called on the 26th and I was told my order had been cancelled (without my knowledge). I was then told a manager would call me in about 20 minutes (was told this numerous times before) and never received a call. On Feb 8 I called the store, where I purchased the furniture, to ask them to cancel what was still on order, and asked them to come pick up the 3 out of 7 pieces they delivered, because they are useless without the rest. I am unable to even get the mattress off the floor without the footboard. I was informed by Kirby, at the store, that I cannot return the pieces they delivered and that her manager, Monica, would contact me. Typically, I have not heard back. I attached the original contract that shows the dates my furniture SHOULD have been delivered. read more

UPDATE: after months of trying to work out something with Mary at their escalation Department at their headquarters (per the email response I got from corporate on this review), we've gotten NOWHERE. The escalation department was slow. They gave us conflicting information. They sent out a technician to look at the couch again, who also said that incorrect information was passed between him and corporate because he notified them of this issue back in June, but corporate told us that the technician reported a squeaky noise. Not the issue we had AT ALL. Someone is lying, and it's not the technician, because at the second October inspection/visit he's showed us what he reported to Ashley corporate in June. He notified them again of the same issue at that second visit. I took a photo of his submitted email in October in case someone tries to lie again to us again... if they even bother to contact us, that is. It is now almost February. We have not heard anything. We have followed up with the point of contact (Mary) at the escalation department and have not heard back, and we've followed up multiple times. This is absolutely ridiculous. At this point I just want to get a couch I can sit on. I my money back, but the store won't do it because they can only issue replacements. I don't want a replacement, especially if it's a product design defect. I can't believe that we paid nearly $4000 for a couch that doesn't hold up and that gives us backaches. This couch is pristine looking, we have treated it very well. We just want move on from this issue, yet WE ARE DOING MORE WORK TO FOLLOW UP THAN THE ACTUAL PARTY AT FAULT (COMPANY) IS. At this point I am considering small claims court so we can get recoup my money and go elsewhere. Maybe that's what it takes to get Ashley to stop ignoring us. Do not buy anything from this store, do not buy anything from this company. Absolutely pathetic to run a business this way. read more

The worst furniture buying experience ever. I tried to buy 2 queen mattress sets for 2 new bedrooms. I told the salesman (Holloway) exactly what my needs were as far as product and delivery date. I insisted he check his stock to insure that everything I needed was in stock and available for delivery at the first available delivery appointment, at which he promised of August 12, 2023. As their credit card machine wasn't working, i paid by check at their insistence. 6 days later I got a telephone call from Ashley's telling me that the items I had purchased were not available and that they were at least 2 weeks out. I told them that I needed the mattresses before then whereas they told me to visit the store and get them to help me. I went the store and talked to a salesman (Mr. Holloway was not working) who referred me to the assistant manager, Mr. Harris. Mr Harris tried to at first switch the mattresses I bought to other mattresses which I was not interested in. He then told me that he would refund $1237. of the $1327. I paid. He deducted $100 for some mattress protectors which were given to me as free by Mr. Holloway in the purchase. I told Mr. Harris that he could have the protectors back, I never wanted them and they were still new, unopened in the original packaging. Mr. Harris refused and said that the protectors were not returnable. He insisted that I call their customer service number for help. I called their customer service and reached Chris, who refused to offer a last name. Chris was rude and abusive "It's your fault that you believed those guys and took those mattress protectors, you got scammed" he told me. I asked Chris where he was located and he told me Guadalajar, Mexico. He admitted to just being a hired subcontractor, not an employee of Ashley's. He became more and more abusive. I asked Mr. Harris speak to the store manager and was told he was out of town for 3 weeks. Mr. Harris left during the phone call and I had another employee retrieve him, at which time he came back even more rude. I asked him for the refund of my $1227. and he said he couldn't give me my money back, the money had to be refunded by the company "somewhere in Canada.". I asked him when I could get my money as the check had cleared my bank and they had my money and he shrugged his shoulders and laughed as he said, "I don't know." After leaving this Cordova store, I discovered the customer service number for Ashley Homestores in the U.S. The woman on the phone asked for my order number and identification then told me she could find no record of my purchase. She told me that the Ashley Homestore in Cordova was not a true Ashley Homestore and were only a licensed store, therefore they could do nothing about the problem. I asked her how I could tell the difference between a real Ashley Homestore and a licensed Ashley Homestore, she said I couldn't. I asked her if Ashley Homestore as a corporation condoned the business practices that I was describing which included lying to customers, bait and switch tactics and fraud, to which she replied, "Yes." I have since discovered the innumerable number of other customers on Yelp that have also been treated reprehensibly by this store and have discovered that Ashley Homestore has several class-action lawsuits pending due to their dishonest business practices. Good judgment tells one to avoid places like Ashley Homestore on Germantown Pkwy in Cordova, TN. read more

Let me start this review off by saying, that we have never had such a terrible customer service experience than what we have been dealing with over the past (nearly) 2 months with Ashley. We had furniture delivered in the beginning of January that was improperly assembled & damaged upon delivery. We submitted a claim, or attempted to, that same day. It took multiple phone calls, with the same repetitive conversation over and over, to finally get the claim submitted weeks later. Each conversation we would be promised a call back in the next 24-48 hours, and not once did we receive a call...we had to reach back out and have the same conversation again and again. After a month of calling, we finally had one part sent to us, with instructions to call and schedule services for repair once we received it. We called and could not get on the schedule until another month out (nearly 3 months after receiving the furniture). However, we then received a text the following day that our appointment was cancelled as they were sending additional parts to us. Here we are again, calling to sort this out and whenever we do it is like we are talking about this issue for the very first time. They have no knowledge of which furniture piece is in question, no concept of how many times we have called and how many pictures we have sent for proof, or any sense of competence in helping us to solve our ongoing problem. We are now waiting, again, to hear back from them on what the part we are missing was because they had no clue on the phone and are not allowing us to keep our appointment on the calendar (mind you, a month from now) so there is still no end in sight for getting this fixed. We are unable to use our dresser which is extremely frustrating while trying to tidy up, unpack & get settled in a new house. I am disgusted by how this company operates and utterly shocked it is still in business. Their corporate team needs to really look into their customer service, because it is having critical impact on their brand recognition and perception. I will never be purchasing another item from Ashley Furniture. read more

I really wish I read these reviews before buying from here. I have spent a total of 10 hours on hold or being transferred in 3 days. The store never answers the phone so I waited on hold 7 times now to be transferred to customer service who just tells me to call the store! I have no idea what in the lords name customer service is supposed to do but they cannot order, change anything or walk me through my purchase. They just give me another phone number who doesn't answer. No joke about the 10 hours of being on hold. I ordered over $3000 in furniture with no one helping me select a delivery date or chose a pick up option. Apparently I can only get delivery and pay the $180. The problem is I am out of state for 10 days and have not been able to reach anyone to make sure they don't deliver to an empty house. I've written 5 emails now with no response and I'm tired of sitting on hold. I see someone responds to Yelp reviews (funny how that works) so maybe someone will fInally reach out to me. If they don't, I'll reach out to my bank and cancel all payments because this is the worst service I have ever dealt with. I feel totally alienated which is the opposite of customer service. Update!!!! I got 1 piece of furniture after a complete debacle with UPS. Check out the way I received it! I am calling tomorrow to cancel all orders and get a refund on everything. This has been the worst experience I have ever had buying furniture. read more

Shopping for a bed my husband and I found the perfect piece! Was so excited and couldn't wait to add it to our room. Yes because of Covid the delivery is delayed but that's understandable . We waited patiently. Finally got the call they were going to deliver it and picked the window of time best for it to be delivered. My husband has paid the $139.00 for the deliver and white glove assembly. The deliver guys showed up an hour and a half early! When they arrived they pulled the truck up and unloaded the headboard assembled. Not in a box... nothing covering it. (Come to find out later the head board padding was assembled upside down and there was damage done to the back and sides.) Once in the house they dropped off the headboard and the box with the railings. The delivery guy looked me straight in the face and said "ohhhh they didn't tell you? We aren't assembling due to Covid". I replied with okay, no they didn't tell me and let them leave. Soon I realized the damage and the head board assembled incorrectly. So I called costumer care and they told me, "I'm not sure why they told you that we definitely are assembling if you paid for the package." After a couple more calls we deciding to just have the $139.99 refunded and be done with them. We thought the ordeal was done. About a week and a half my husband gets a call today. They read the ticket and told my husband that in the delivery man's notes it stated: "The wife said not to assemble the bed because the bedroom isn't finish". This has truly been such a hassle and we will NOT be ordering from Ashley again. Who calls a man and says "your wife is a liar!" The deliver man looked me straight in the face and said, "ohhhh they didn't tell you, we aren't assembling due to COVID". They (Ashley) have already refunded us the deliver and assemble fees. We thought the mess was over. So this call today was so uncalled for and unnecessary. read more

Very misleading! I originally came in the store last week and went back on yesterday. Working with a new gentleman, he lied and said that they were doing some type of employee discount deal. During checkout I noticed that some prices were actually higher than the online price. I made him aware after I paid, because the breakdown didn't print out until after I paid. There was not employee discount , he literally went in knocked one item price by $20 or $50, but went in upcharged the next item at a higher charger. The charged me $340 for delivery and online delivery shows $219.00 for the entire delivery. There was not employee discount pricing done, it was a switch and bait. I would never work with him again. I'm going to call the store and speak with the manager only. I'm asking for a refund, because he was deceiving and a plain out LIAR‼ I will definitely stick with online or the discount store. My total was less online than purchased in store. I kept asking about the delivery charge, I should have known he was up to something. He kept pulling his phone out to use the calculator. I told them this was unacceptable and canceled purchase for a refund of my down payment of 400.00. 1/31/18 Update: This review prompted the below response and ultimately lead to a replacement for my broken chair. Once I had a response, the resolution was quick and easy. Thank you so much Karey F! It is still unfortunate that I had to turn to social media to get their attention though. Bought a dining room table and six chairs (among several other things) in Feb of 2016. I also purchased a 5yr protection plan at the time. In Dec of 17, the brace connecting the leg on one of the chairs cracked making it unusable. I've attempted to contact both AFHS and GBS (their warranty company) multiple times and both continue to ignore me. The boxes were left in front of my house which they were supposed to take with them. I am now out $200 getting it removed. Sent a piece back because there was no room. Got a call the next day wanting to know when I wanted it delivered after I already told Ashley and my sales rep I was sending that piece back. There is a lot more negative I can add but my head is killing me from all the bullshit. read more

We ordered a table and chairs that we liked at this store. Danbeck table and chairs totaling over $1000 including delivery. 2 months later we noticed the table was bubbling up and called customer service. BTW they are the worst people to deal with when you have an issue. They take days to get back to you, if they get back to you. We provided pictures to show it must have been done during delivery, because who eyeballs the entire table when you purchase it? They told us it is customer cause and there is nothing they can do. I have purchased better furniture from Walmart. Won't be giving these people anymore business. read more
