Terrible customer service. Benjamin, the sales person told me which accent pillows would be delivered with my sofa and I received none. He hasn't returned my call from 2 weeks ago. read more

Just...no. Don't shop here for furniture. When we moved to Memphis, we needed living room furniture and went here. We spent a lot of money and received mediocre quality stuff (especially the wood furniture-scratches really easily). The worst part of the experience was customer service. Delivery guys put the feet on the sofa before coming in the door. When it wouldn't fit, they forced it and ripped the faux leather. It took me 25+ phone calls, rescheduling appts, and a total of 3 months to get it fixed. The people on the phone were always either clueless (so I had to explain what happened from start to finish every time) or extremely rude. After all the problems, I just wanted to speak to someone at corporate but they apparently don't exist or are stationed on Mars because they are unreachable. Additionally, the guy who gained commission from the original sale failed to put my information in correctly so bills were being sent to my old address in Indiana. Every time I called to inquire about why I hadn't received a bill yet, they said "oh it's coming, just be patient". Finally the 5th person actually took the time to open my dang file and confirm that the wrong address was listed and I had racked up late fees for not making payments. I purchased from Ashley one other time after this and that was also a mistake. Never again. read more

I ordered an entire bedroom set for my child. And last week on delivery day we learned that a key component of the bed to put it together was never ordered by our sales person Lisa. So the delivery people just left the furniture unassembled on my floor. The distribution center was called and said that it would be delivered in two days. It never came. Then the following week I called and a manager stated she would order the rails and have them delivered. Delivery day came and the delivery driver even called to say he was on the way. He never showed up. So I've been trying to call the store for two hours and no one is answering. They ripped me off. Now I have to pay for furniture I can't even use. Run. read more

Ashley Furniture is great quality. We recently purchased a bedroom set for our new house, and I am very happy with it. The process we went through to buy our bedroom set was pretty quick and painless, so that's great in my book. I am maybe not the right person for this review, since furniture shopping sort of irks me sometimes. I know the associates work on commission, but a lot of the time they just follow you around or pop up behind you when you are looking at things. I just bought a new house, and I need to do some browsing, okay? We can't buy something every time we go in (which isn't all that often), and it seems to me they are a little too insistent on that. Don't try too hard, you sell a great product. I'd recommend doing your browsing online, and when you're ready to purchase or compare items, make the trip to the store. read more

Imagine buying a sectional (not financing) being told we can guarantee you will have everything delivered on this date, and calling on said day asking where you furniture is for them to say they canceled the delivery. I asked why didn't they call to inform me of the delivery cancellation and they say sometimes we don't, ok. So we schedule it for the following week Ashley's says WE WILL HAVE IT THEN. The same exact thing happens the following week they claim the system changes the delivery date to the next available day without telling the customer anything, I would not have known if I didn't call an asked. Then they say all we can do is try it again for the third time and see what happens. 100% do not recommend. read more

To make a long story extremely short: I ordered my living room furniture in the middle of June. At the time, I was told that my loveseat would arrive on 6/23 (it did) and everthing else would arrive on 7/5 then 7/22 then 8/1 then the middle to end of August. I called the corporate office who said they couldn't help and told me to call the store where I purchased from who said they couldn't help so I should call corporate! I finally was able to talk to the store supervisor, Abbey, who promised me a $200 credit and $100 gift card for my "inconvenience". She also informed me that if I canceled my order I would have to keep the love seat that had already been delivered. So I was faced with waiting longer or having mixed match furniture if I canceled and bought my furniture somewhere else. Of course, I didn't agree with this so Abby sent me to corporate again and told me to call her back after I spoke with them. I did as I was told (got no where) and called Abby back about 2 or 3 days later. I explained the situation to the Rep who answered since Abby was on lunch when I called. I had decided to keep the furniture and wait but I wanted the credits Abby had promised. The Rep looked in the system and told me that my furniture was ready to be shipped. Of course, I didn't really believe her and I still wanted to speak with Abby about my credits. The furniture was delivered later that week but I never heard from Abbey again. Bottom line, I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again and after seeing what I went through I'm sure none of my coworkers will take the chance either. read more

While we have been quite disappointed in our Ashley furniture pieces, and even more so in their customer service center, the staff at the Cordova store are fantastic. They helped us more in the 30 minutes we were in the store than Customer Service has helped us in 2 months. Dira Nicholson went above and beyond to get us some concrete help and answers. Mr. Chuck offered to make some contacts for us to try to rectify the situation. Will we purchase Ashley furniture again? Probably not. Too much money for such poor quality. But we want to give a huge thank you to the associates at the Cordova store for treating us with as much attention and care AFTER the sale as they did before the sale. These are good people! Update: unfortunately, we spoke too soon! The above mentioned store and sales associate never followed through on their promise to help. Not a single phone call OR a return call when we tried to reach out. Our Ashley furniture is falling to pieces after only 3 years of gentle use (no kids, no pets, well taken care of). This company couldn't care any less about their customers. I haven't received a single return call after countless messages and promises to "see what I can find out and call you back before the day is over". Nope! We're out on Ashley furniture. Our friends warned us. I'm afraid they were right. So now, we're warning you. Don't do it! read more

Purchased a Porter Cali King bed over a year ago and had to reorder the left side panel because the thin strip that support the railing broke. Ashley did not replace it, I had to pay for it. I did and the shipment took over a month to deliver. After a few weeks, the strip on the new panel came undone and now my bed is back on bricks to support the mattress. I'm writing corporate tomorrow in hope of a resolve because the local store seems to be useless. Wish me well. read more

If I could have afforded to furnish my home with Ashley furniture throughout, I would have. Ashley is well-known as a high-quality furniture store that designs, builds all of their furniture, and they carry a beautiful array of wood/fine fabric and leather items. And, they offer delivery/set up. You'll also find faux leather occasionally. You can furnish every room of the home, and they have beautiful accessories. I did purchase some awesome and huge candlestick holders and they cost as much as an end table, but that's not the point. I get a compliment every time someone new comes over. Love that place! read more

I'm totally with Noelle on this one- I love me some Ashley Furniture accessories. They always have the coolest lamps, vases and chatchkeys. In recent years they seem to be going with more of an "Old Hollywood" style in the way of lamps and vases- not everything, but a large majority of it, and that makes this gal sublimely happy. They have a great selection of furniture as well. I'm a huge fan of old retro furniture, simply cuz it ain't made the way it used to be, but I do like Ashley's selection. They have a lot of leather and micro suede options for your furniture purchasing. Basically, you can come to Ashley's and furnish your entire home if you wanted to. I much prefer to pick up random pieces here and there- but I give them 4 stars for effort and selection. The staff at this particular location is extremely friendly and helpful. I have to assume they work on commission, and you'll tend to have that when you're in that situation. read more

If I could have left no stars I would have I'm going to keep it simple I picked out furniture 2 months ago still have not received came to store to resolve and possibly choose something in stock. I was told they have a automated system that tried to reach out to me to deliver pieces of my furniture not all of it . They claimed they also emailed. I stated I have not received a email. Phone call or voicemail. I was also told I wouldn't never at this moment get my furniture together because of shortage of wood. I did not catch the lady's name but my sales person was Patrick. Patrick is a hustler which is understandable your selling furniture. But do not play with my intellect. The woman he ask for assistance from was angry and rude. Mam it's just furniture. As a result I asked them to just cancel my order Wow attitude got even worse. Stated she was go charge me 10 percent for canceling. Human beings better learn sometimes for people it's not about the money it's the principle. I do not like how I was talked to, mislead, or treated. She also refused to give me proof of my cancellation. I'm floored and never ever in life would recommend this Ashley store to anyone I'm a very understanding person. If their attitude was better this is something that could have been resolved but when you say things to a customer very rude don't you know it's a wood shortage !!! And everyone else gets our robo calls like I'm intentionally refusing my furniture to be delivered. Just cancel it all. I will not support rude and angry business that lack customer service read more

I ordered a mattress and a base. My delivery date for both items was set for March 8th. So, come to find out the base was on backorder and they tried to deliver the mattress anyway. 1 star only because Yelp wont allow 0 stars. If you shop here PRAY that you don't have a problem. If you have a problem buckle up and get ready for a LONG and DIFFICULT journey. Ours started on January 30th '15 and wasn't resolved until March 20th '15. The shopping experience was great. The salesmen was nice and he answered as many question as he could. He did not give us correct information about how the couch performed. In the store we were told the motion furniture could go 2 to a max 4 inches away from the wall in the full recline position. Nope, when the couch was delivered (not the couch AND the chair we paid cash for, JUST the couch) the technicians put the couch 8 inches from the wall. My wife was told it had to be that far away and the sales staff will tell you anything in the store to get you to buy something. Consider yourself thrown under the bus sales staff! Not 5 minutes after the delivery the couch broke, remember the chair couldn't be delivered at the same time, and it stayed broken in our house for over a month. Countless calls were made and almost NO ONE was helpful. The one person that was helpful (the store manager) was so limited in her abilities to do anything she was of little help. Good luck calling customer service and getting anything accept a headache and higher blood pressure. No one knows what you are talking about, no one acts like they even have made notes in their system. Once I went by the store and the salesman who helped us gave me the number of the Corporate Customer Service Director. I called his office and was told, "He doesn't talk to customers, but I can relay your message to him." The head of customer service doesn't talk to customers [no surprise really]. FINALLY, FINALLY today we got our money back and we are DONE with Ashley furniture. Save yourself the trouble...shop elsewhere. read more

I recently purchased a bedroom set from Ashley. Andriana was amazingly helpful and very knowledgeable on the pieces and process for me getting financed. My in-store experience was excellent! Overall, their furniture selection is very nice. The delivery service is quite a challenge. Not very accommodating to working people. They texted me at about 11PM to confirm my delivery. Unfortunately the automated text system doesn't work very well. I then received several calls before 8AM the next day from the automated service. However, the delivery guys (Michael and Anthony) were the best! They were friendly and accommodating. AND even thought I live in a three story walk up, they did not question me about the need for an elevator, they only asked "which way?" If I could hire them directly, I would! Kudos to Michael and Anthony for saving face for the delivery team! read more

I am so very disappointed in this entire store. My husband was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer, and we needed supportive furniture for when surgery is done, and he can come home. We ordered the furniture in store first week of April, and told it would be in on may 1st. well, on april 30th we were told it wouldn't be available until may 15th. We had our elderly parents coming in from out of state for the surgery that day, and nothing for them to sit on, as the VOA scheduled pick up of our old furniture on april 30th. So, I called our salesman Timothy, panicked. He said, "good news! we can have the sofa and loveseat at least delivered on may 5th, the other items were not ready til may 15th" ok, I guess that will have to do I thought. As I stay home from visiting my husband in ICU at st. Francis in Memphis, to wait for the furniture as my son, and our mothers go visit my husband, the hours go by....no sofa and loveseat....I call and talk to Chuck Hadley the manager, he says it was never submitted by Timothy, no delivery scheduled, and as a matter of fact, most of the items wont be delivered until JUNE!?! Are you kidding me? no offer to do anything, nothing. Should be ashamed of yourselves, seriously.....I really want to cancel my entire order, this is ridiculous that no offer or assistance whatsoever from this company. read more

UPDATE: I went back into the store yesterday and spoke with Laura and the store manager David. My issue was resolved within 15minutes - 15 minutes! I had been getting the run around for weeks and as soon as David heard me out, he simply said, "We can do that". They had no problem returning the merchandise and comoleting my exchange in ONE transaction. They were both very pleasant and knowledgeable. I recommend speaking with one of them if you have any issues. The only reason this isn't a 5 rating is because that Assistant store manager Eric Davis was awful! I spoke with him the day before and hehad a terrible disposition and he was just plain rude. There is so much more I could say about him, but I won't...at least not in this forum. I voiced those concerns to David as well and he assured me that he would handle that situation as well. So again, David and Laura were able to retain me as an Ashley customer, but stay away from Eric! read more

I was less than pleased overall with my purchasing experience, but I can deal with that. I still chose to purchase a bed from this store. What I'm extremely upset about is the fact that the store signed me up for TWO separate Ashley credit cards, from two different banks. I was NEVER told this was the case when I applied for the promotional financing. Each of the cards had more than enough limit to cover my purchase, so I cannot wrap my brain around why they would open a second account on me when the first one was clearly enough. Is that even legal? Opening new cards effects your credit worthiness and that's something I take seriously. I guess now I have to file a complaint with the FTC and Credit Bureau to dispute this. read more

This store is terrible. I literally just created a Yelp account just to give this place a 1 star. A few months ago I ordered 2 couches that were gray. When they were delivered I received the wrong color, so then I had to wait 3 weeks for the right couches to arrive. A few days ago I bought a bed, so I went to the warehouse to go pick up the pieces to the bed. I opened the box's to get the pieces out but when I got them out 2 of the main parts were broken, so I take them back to the warehouse the next day, (the warehouse is 30 minutes away from my house). When I got all of the parts of the bed and brought them back to my house I started putting it together. Then I realized that all of the screws that I needed to put the bed together were not there. I'm never buying anything from this store again. read more

I purchased a reclining chair from the Cordova store. A few days later before it was scheduled to be picked up at their warehouse by me, I cancel the order. I knew that I had signed for a restocking fee, that didn't apply. But in the contract there's a clause for cancellation as well. Which in all fairness I overlooked. I have purchased from Ashley over the years and I had their syc bank card. Which I've now ripped up and closed. Their customer service is based on, it's more important to steal the $50 cancellation fee, then it is to keep a long-term customer. I found Wayfare online to be a much better deal. read more

Absolutely ZERO customer service. I paid $1500 for a table and chairs with a bench. Asked them how soon I could have it because of a birthday party at my house. They told me it would be at the warehouse within 4 days. Two weeks later the table and chairs arrive within NO bench. Get the chairs home and the manufacturer drilled the dowel holes on the outside of one leg making it impossible to assemble. I take it to the store to hopefully trade for one that they have in house. Store Mgr David Watkins said I'm sorry there's nothing we can do you need to return it to the warehouse. Failure to provide refund On 5/13/18 I went to Ashley's Homestore at 2385 N. Germantown, Cordova TN 38016. I purchased a sectional sofa which totaled $2140.26 including tax and delivery. I was told that it would be delivered 6/5/18. When the time came for the delivery, I was called and told that one piece was not in stock. I told them to told the delivery until everything was in stock. The next delivery date comes and they call to tell me 2 pieces are now not available, so again I said hold it until everything was in stock. The next delivery date comes and they call to say that none of the pieces are available and that I should call back around 7/31/18 to see if they have them in at that time. So on 6/28/18, I went to the store and asked for a refund. The manager Laura wrote up a refund request (which I have a copy of) and stated that once it's processed the refund would be back in my account in 4-7 business days. I called them on 7/10/18 and was told by an associate that she would email corporate to see what was taking so long. She called me back the next day and said it should be there in the next 2 days. That should have been Thursday. The refund has not been returned as of today 7/20/18. read more

I went to Ashley Home Store in CORDOVA today just to browse. However; once in the store and to see all the bargains that were displayed, I literally knew at that moment, I was in for a journey. As I strolled through the store with awe in my eyes and stomach bubbling, I was approached by Ms. Pam with such a nice attitude and awesome smile, I realized quickly that I would not have any money left in my pockets when I exit this store. Ms. Pam made me feel like I was the only person in the store. Ms. Pam asked was there anything in particular I was looking for; and from that point on, it was like a dream. There was nothing asked; she couldn't answer. We went from living room set to living room set to rugs. Ms. Pam left for a minute and came back with three rugs. I was really confused then, because I really liked two of the them. Ms. Pam laid them down one by one by the living room set that was chosen, so I could see how they looked with the furniture individually( to talk about good customer service). Again, Ms. Pam made me feel like I had her undivided attention to the point where she took me to where all the rugs were, so I could see them for myself. I could go on and on, however; I will not. I purchased a beautiful living room set and will be back for a bedroom set, mattresses, and accessories. I would also like to compliment the young lady at the desk where the final paperwork was done. She was very nice and professional as well. When you visit a store where you are spending your money and it feels like all the associates are family, it makes the visit worth your while!!!!! I would not recommend this store to my worst enemy and would give them ZERO stars if that were an option. We purchased a sofa in November to have it delivered before my in-laws came to see our new house. We wanted to take advantage of the interest-free financing. We made our decision close to the end of the business day, so they told us we were approved for financing but had to use another credit card. They said they'd transfer our charge to the Ashley card in 7-10 days. We reluctantly agreed and finished the sale. They were a day late delivering the sofa, and the legs were not put on straight. No attempt was made to correct that. The separate pillows came at least two weeks after that. The Ashley card still had not come, so my husband called and was told that the card was "on its way." It took a dozen phone calls and my husband leaving work early to meet with the finance person to finally get the card delivered in March--nearly FOUR months later. In the meantime, we've been paying interest on our other card for this mediocre sofa that should have been interest free. They still have not transferred the balance, nor have they returned countless calls. In the meantime, the card is on my husband's credit. My husband contacted their card's issuing bank. They were flabbergasted that the Ashley store didn't use the card in the first place--essentially saying the people handling the sale had lied to us. We finally went in today just to tell them to come get the sofa and refund the money. The manager pointed at my face and said, "First of all, we are NOT giving you your money back. You can sell it or keep it." He offered NO resolution, and when we said their business practices were deceptive, he said we could have our lawyer call. That may have been the only good idea he had. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. read more

I purchased a Soletren sofa and loveseat which took weeks to deliver. No big deal. However, while in the store and purchasing these items, the saleslady(Mari) stated the the sofa included the matching ottoman. This was one of the reasons I went with this set. When the furniture was delivered the ottoman was missing. I called and spoke to Mari who said she never said that and ottomans aren't included with the sofa. Beware of false information from this store. They were absolutely no help when I called and basically said I was a liar. I called corporate too who also said that there was nothing they could do because they only deal with warranty information. So spend your money elsewhere because there is apparently no accountability in the Ashley corporation. read more

Went in to purchase my daughter a bedroom set. My husband and i have been weighing out options at other stores, but we worked out a deal of 900 walking out the door for the bed, chest of drawers, and the mattress. We were told the offer was good for up to 14 Days. We went back 2 days later and were told we could keep the offer and we decided to add on a nightstand. Then prices changed drastically and got the price total up to almost 1400. I went ahead and paid for it and called my husband as soon as i left and went over the pricing because i didn't understand why we went from 900 to 1400. I sent him pictures of my invoice and we were lied to about the deal we had been promised. I called in the store to talk with the sales associate because i had my small children with me and didn't want to get out of the vehicle again with them and he said that that price was only for the night we came in and that it went up but he gave us a similar deal. I'm sorry but 500 more is not a similar deal. So i returned it and they tell me that they are keeping a 10% restocking fee. I haven't even made the purchase 30 min ago. I called the manager and explained the situation and she got smart with me saying " i paid SO much for the delivery fee, she couldn't believe i had to pay 29.00" like my money is just exposable and i don't have 140+ to throw away for nothing. She wouldn't issue a refund. I would NEVER use this store for any purchases. Very unprofessional and rude. I couldn't believe the smart comments the manager was making towards me. read more

My home was ready for new furniture throughout. We spent a little over $20,000 for Living room, den, master bedroom. I'm pleased with the furniture but the service was TERRIBLE. It took us two months to receive everything. We purchased our furniture two weeks before thanksgiving & we reassured time & time again that we'd have everything in by December 1. We tear our house apart, give away, donate etc. our old furniture in preparation for the new furniture & needless to say... our holidays were ruined. We had no furniture, no bed, etc. However, this isn't even the worst part. They would call to schedule a delivery. My husband & I would take off work, wait all day & they wouldn't show or call. So I'd call the next day- EVERY TIME they'd act like they had no idea why they didn't show/call so they'd reschedule our delivery. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. They'd put us at the END OF THE LINE. You'd think we'd be 1st on the schedule for the next day. This happened probably 8-10 times. We had tickets to a Christmas show that cost $200 & dinner reservations. Of course they called & scheduled a delivery and we were so sick of them by this point we just wanted our stuff and to be done with them. We stayed home- waited. Missed the show & dinner & guess what? No show/call again. I spoke with several managers & they'd assure me they would "get to the bottom" of this but even the STORE MANAGER wouldn't return our call. We finally got the last of our furniture mid January. The quality was good, the prices were reasonable but the headache of it all was not worth it. We missed more days of work than I could even count & there's no price tag I could put on sleeping on the floor for months & not having a place to sit on Christmas. We were never offered any sort of compensation nor when we went to the store to express our complaints we were told we couldn't get a refund. I would never recommend this company. Ever. Not even to my worst enemy. The business is a joke. The delivery people were super nice & did their job well but the delivery scheduling people were rude & offered no assistance. Haven't had a very good experience with this location. As soon as we walked in the store we told them we were just looking and if we needed anything we would let them know. We got an automated call saying they were going to deliver on a day we weren't available. We had to reschedule for 2 weeks later. They only brought 1 piece. The delivery guys blame the store and the store blames the delivery guys. We called and they said they would deliver the next Tuesday. They didn't call and didn't deliver, again. I bought a sofa here and scheduled the delivery. On the morning of the scheduled delivery, Ashley called me to say the sofa didn't make it onto the truck for delivery and would be delivered on the following Monday. An hour before that scheduled delivery they called and said it was still in a warehouse but could be ready in a couple of days. Since I had the following Monday off work, I agreed. Ashley is just a poor furniture store with how they handle customers. We bought a couch there with battery packs as it was a recliner. Was told the batteries need to be charged every 30 days; turns out it has to be every 3 days. Then just ordered a living room suite to be delivered May 3rd. After being assured that all pieces would make it except for 1 by May 3rd; I found out the entire suite would be delivered May 24th, two weeks after moving into our new home. We canceled the living room order and I will never shop at Ashley again. Definitely on the low end of quality and service for furniture stores. read more

I was told very rudely since the warehouse didn't reach me they would NOT deliver furniture until after Christmas. The warehouse was calling the wrong number. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no. She was extremely rude. The warehouse is awful. I went to store to get help to no avail. They told me I could get it myself.
