They had the style, color, and price that I wanted, and honestly, 3 weeks of walking into an empty living room while I shopped around for furniture was becoming too much for me to bear. Again, service was iffy until I made it clear that I was here to buy something and wasn't wasting the sales rep's time. Do a lot of teenagers come here and jump on couches or something? Not a fan of what seems like blatant age discrimination on Ashley Furniture's part. Whatever. Again, delivery was efficient and professional. As much as I hate to say this, I'll most likely be back to Ashley for some other miscellaneous items (rugs, coffee tables, etc.) in the future. I expect to be ignored...again. read more

After having only two at the island we decided that was the right number. I took the third broken chair back to Carlos who told me, sorry we don't accept any returns. Worst furniture buying experience EVER! Supervisor on the desk worse EVER! Couldn't keep a promise if her life depended on it. I bought a $3000 Tempur pedic mattress and was told that I had 90 days to exchange it. For a whole month she made me promises to take care of it but never did! It has been 5 months & not even her manager have reached out to me even though I have made several complaints. I would NEVER refer ANYONE to Ashley Home Stores. Never again will I EVER purchase a piece of furniture at Ashley Furniture. I bought a sectional that was delivered last Thursday. Once the delivery guys left, we decided it was too big for the space. I called the store and they said we had to pay a restocking fee - no biggie. The couch and love seat we wanted in exchange was actually more expensive than the sectional- so it was a no brainer for the to exchange it, right? WRONG! The staff there are so ghetto and unprofessional, told us we should of measured better and that we had buyers remorse; making us stuck with the sectional. I LOVE Ashley Furniture! The showroom is very diverse... you will love some things, laugh at others and be shocked at a few. The staff is a little (I mean A LOT) overbearing, but I'm a lone shopper so that may just be me. Everything is affordable (as a 23 year old redecorating her apartment I can't exactly afford Williams-Sonoma...:) ...YET) and they do have really fresh and simple things that look nice. I had finally decided it was time for a new Love Seat in my Den !! Looked online for a couple of days and found the style I wanted at Ashley Home Store !! Went to the Ballwin location and was greeted by Nichole K. who was very friendly and knowledgeable. They didn't have our Love Seat on the floor and Nichole suggested we look at another of their stores to make sure that was the style we wanted and how it sat. That's what we did and returned to the Ballwin Store for purchase. Everything went Great !! Nichole is a Dream !! Purchase was made on Tuesday and delivery was on Friday !! It is the changing of the seasons and time to decorate once more. Ok, so I used that as an excuse to go looking at furniture. This place has only recently opened so it is still all nice and shiny and full of all sorts of goodies. It's also nice for getting some decorating ideas...but I digress. Nice store, nice things, decent enough pricing, two floors full of items for dining rooms, living rooms, kiddie rooms, etc. Some of the items were "who the hell is going to put THAT in their house?" while others had me wanting to just gut our place and start anew. We were told we could use the base price of the policy towards another purchase or refund after item is payed for and no claim was made. After qualifying for a refund and or credit towards another purchase we continue to be told multiple excuses of why we cannot use the refund . We were told as long as the item is $500.00 or more we could use it , when we picked a clearance item we were told we can't use it after a sales rep at the Ballwin Mo. store told us would could in fact use it , then we were told " ohh your refund has expired" but if you call corporate we will honor and allow you to use it. No answer no return calls they completely shunned us off. We will NEVER shop or do Business again with Ashley Furniture. I was so excited to find the perfect bedroom set at Ashley and purchased a $4,000 bedroom set. That was in June and it's now December and it's still not available for delivery. I was told a delivery date of November 7 and sold my old bedroom set to make room for the new one. It was not delivered. The date kept getting pushed back. Purchased reclining sofa and loveseat. Thought the initial experience went well enough. Found something we liked and speaking to sales person were happy to learn they "manufactured in the US" with "mostly US parts." Told us how they use thickest steel on market etc. all while reinforcing the made in America angle emphatically. They promise prior to July 4th. Stuff arrived on July 15th. So a couple weeks late but okay. Then noticed the big letters on the box stating that they are made in Vietnam. Hmm. Same place. One discount furniture crap is made but for twice as much money. Yay. Ordered a storage bed and when they delivered it they had the wrong headboard. Had to totally reorder and they came to deliver it today and had the same problem again, the wrong headboard with the wrong footboard. We have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor for a month now and looks like it's going to be another month, unless they screw up a third time. I've tried talking to customer service and the delivery department and nobody seems to care that they messed up twice. They just say the protocol is to reorder the bed. It's ridiculous, go find me the right headboard with the right footboard and rails, And deliver it!! Buyer be ware. Ashley is a franchise and each store is operated independent. If you decline to have your furniture delivered and go to the distribution center on Green park road to pick up and something happens during the one year warranty for cushion's or frame in order to enforce the warranty you must bring the product back to them in order to have it fixed. What kind of business practice is this? have a warranty but in order to have it fixed you have to bring it to them. But if you pay their delivery fee during the one year they will send their service to you. Scam. read more

This has been the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We purchased dining room and living room furniture on May 17 and have been getting the run around from the store manager, customer service, and the distribution center on when it will be delivered. Ashley Furniture was one of the many stops we made in our search for new living room furniture. We were looking for some modern dark grain wood tables/stands and a comfortable sectional that would both dress the room up and be comfortable for everyday living. The staff greeted us as we entered and offered assistance. During one visit we even had a salesperson walk us to EVERY piece of furniture that fit the style we were describing. I must precede the rest of my review by stating that my past experience has taught me to look for items of higher quality that will meet the following criteria: A) Survive druken idiots (table dancing, body slams, etc) B) Survive little kids and toy cars C) Require minimal maintenance D) Remain sturdy and solid throughout their operational life We found a few pieces that we liked, they looked great but the quality was much to be desired. Most pieces consisted of particle board with a cheap veneer overlay, while others had sub-par wood finishes consisting of soft "easily dent-able" wood. Most pieces were offered in a "what you see is what you get" fashion with limited ability to customize. If you are seeking affordable furniture this is definitely a good option. read more

I purchased bedroom set from Ashley Furniture on Manchester Road, St. Louis, MO 63122 on 7/16/2022. I was told when purchased the chest would be available in two weeks and the bed the first part of December. I called several times to check on the Chest and the customer service department said it is on the way. I finally called again on August 30th and spoke to a representative concerning my order and was told it would be in the warehouse on 9/6/2022 to call back and schedule a time for pickup. On September 7, 2022, after several attempts to contact the store to which NO ONE answers and I was told by one of your customer service employees they don't have time to answer in the stores that the chest is no longer available. The representative asked could he just pick out a chest that kind of matches the bed that is available (his exact words). I declined as I couldn't believe what I was hearing on several levels.. I then asked for the order to be canceled and a refund issued, which he stated he took care of and I even got an email showing the refund invoice. I was told it should take 5 to 7 days for the refund to be in my account. I called back today September 13th due to the fact I have not received my refund to be told by a representative that the order was not canceled and they would have to cancel today and again I have to wait 7 to 10 business days for the refund. I feel this is a scam that Ashley does to keep your money, which was paid by a debit card. I also feel that Ashley has the WORST customer service from the representatives that answer the calls, to calling the customer service line and holding for over 30 minutes to only hear someone pickup on the line and hang up, to not being able to get ahold of the store, and so much more. read more

I ordered furniture back in July. I was told that even with some of the delays with Covid it would be delivered end of August. I got a call about a week before delivery that everything was in, but the bed rails so we pushed back the delivery date. By mid September, I called to check again. This time they told me that everything was in but the mattress. Not sure how one item that was in before was now not available. We set up a delivery when they said everything was in. That day came and went with no delivery and another date was sent to us. Two days before delivery, they called to tell us that the headboard, footboard and rails were not available for delivery. We had already taken down our daughter's furniture and she was sleeping on the floor. I tried calling customer service. No one could answer questions. When I asked to talk to a supervisor who could help me, I was put back to the original customer service menu. I had to drive to the store. At that time, the customer service person told me everything except headboard, footboard and rails would be delivered on the date we had set up and the rest would be delivered the following week. We just got a phone call that the mattress is also not available. All they had was the nightstand and dresser. We can't get a hold of anyone to help us. I have never experienced such awful customer service and talked to so many people that can't help you at all. I understand longer wait times due to current circumstances, but the dishonesty or lack of knowledge to be able to help customers is awful. NO one can give you an honest answer. Awful service! Placed an order on 6/13 for a lot of stuff and still waiting for half the order. They keep pushing the delivery date back. Was finally supposed to get most of it today, but delivery truck showed up today and was missing the dressers. So we have nightstands and no dressers or headboard & footboard even though we confirmed on every call confirming delivery that the dressers were coming today. Have to wait over 30 mins trying to to talk to someone when calling the 866 number only to get disconnected for no reason, never even had a person answer. Wasted 40 mins chatting with customer service online to be told they can't do anything because our account is locked since we had a delivery today. CREDIT CARD ISSUE- After applying for a credit card through Ashley and receiving a line of credit I made a large purchase. I was on my credit app checking my credit a week later and noticed two lines of credit were opened one of which I was unaware of. They had opened up an extra credit card that I had not asked for. Now instead of having the $2,000 on my one card they opened another $2000 on another card. If I didn't have my credit app I would have had no idea that card was out there- huge issue. I then called the card company and had my newly opened card that i never used and That I was unaware of closed. I went back into the store not only to address the credit card issue but also because I had not receive $120 worth of pillows after 3 weeks of waiting to ask where the order was with that. They ended up telling me that the order was never made and that if I wanted they would put the order through. I told her that I wanted my money back for the pillows which would be placed back on my debit Cardin a week and then asked the costumer service manger why this extra card was opened when I did not ask for it. She blew off my question and just said that shouldn't have happen and said sorry about that like it was no big deal- her attitude was garbage. I explain to her that it was a big deal because I had a line of credit that was opened and not used then closed and that it would effect my credit. She then copped an attitude with me like it wasn't her problem and didn't want to get to the root of the problem. Her lack of care for my situation lead me to state that I will never shop at their store again. Be carful opening credit cards at that store their lack of care for your personal credit is appalling while they only care how much money they push you into spending. read more

I placed an order in store on May 17th requesting a touch-free delivery ASAP. I understood that there would be a 4-6 week delivery time frame because of COVID. 4-6 weeks later, nobody answers the phones at the O'Fallon, MO location or customer service lines. I had to drive up there to be told that delivery would be mid July. I was not happy, but it is what it is. I received a text message scheduling my delivery for this Saturday. Just today, I received a text message stating delivery would be mid August. Enough is enough. Nobody answers the phones, responds on Facebook, returns calls.
