CREDIT CARD ISSUE- After applying for a credit card through Ashley and receiving a line of credit I made a large purchase. I was on my credit app checking my credit a week later and noticed two lines of credit were opened one of which I was unaware of. They had opened up an extra credit card that I had not asked for. Now instead of having the $2,000 on my one card they opened another $2000 on another card. If I didn't have my credit app I would have had no idea that card was out there- huge issue. I then called the card company and had my newly opened card that i never used and That I was unaware of closed. I went back into the store not only to address the credit card issue but also because I had not receive $120 worth of pillows after 3 weeks of waiting to ask where the order was with that. They ended up telling me that the order was never made and that if I wanted they would put the order through. I told her that I wanted my money back for the pillows which would be placed back on my debit Cardin a week and then asked the costumer service manger why this extra card was opened when I did not ask for it. She blew off my question and just said that shouldn't have happen and said sorry about that like it was no big deal- her attitude was garbage. I explain to her that it was a big deal because I had a line of credit that was opened and not used then closed and that it would effect my credit. She then copped an attitude with me like it wasn't her problem and didn't want to get to the root of the problem. Her lack of care for my situation lead me to state that I will never shop at their store again. Be carful opening credit cards at that store their lack of care for your personal credit is appalling while they only care how much money they push you into spending. read more

Absolutely the Worst furniture store Ever! Do Not buy ANything at Ashley! We bought a new home and my wife picked out many items. What they didnt have in stock they said two weeks at most. That was in October 2018, its Feb 2019. We are still waiting! The quality is also terrible. Bad service as well! Caution, caution, caution! read more

I placed an order in store on May 17th requesting a touch-free delivery ASAP. I understood that there would be a 4-6 week delivery time frame because of COVID. 4-6 weeks later, nobody answers the phones at the O'Fallon, MO location or customer service lines. I had to drive up there to be told that delivery would be mid July. I was not happy, but it is what it is. I received a text message scheduling my delivery for this Saturday. Just today, I received a text message stating delivery would be mid August. Enough is enough. Nobody answers the phones, responds on Facebook, returns calls. This place is a nightmare to people who have jobs and cannot drive up there to babysit the staff. read more

Do not buy your furniture from here. The worst customer service. They sent me the wrong rug & told me that "I probably just didn't realize what rug I has ordered" - it took 2 days to reach someone to get the cancellation / refund for the rug I had ordered. We received a table w/ a broken cabinet. Just a complete disaster all around. Purchase at your own risk! You've been warned read more

Had such a good experience here and all the staff was great especially David the manager. He was an amazing help and made me feel at ease.

My father and I were looking for a "lift-recliner" for him to get up more easily since he's 84 years young. Before we had even gone inside, another customer told us in the parking lot to ask for Phylis, that she was great and not pushy at all. Well, we asked for Phylis, and she was wonderful! We found what my dad needed, and at a good price. They delivered it as promised and my dad is very happy with his new recliner! Phylis was very helpful, knowledgeable, and indeed, wasn't pushy. Thanks to all who made this a great experience, especially Phylis! read more

I went to the West County location to look to buy my first new sectional with a chase. I was helped by Nichole and Emily and they were both so friendly and helpful! They made my experience so easy and fun! Nichole worked really hard to help me find exactly what I was looking for, and never pushed me to buy more. She also helped me get the best deal possible. I love my new sectional! read more

So glad I stopped in Ashley Furniture while looking for new furniture for my living room. After visiting all of the furniture stores on Manchester road I stopped in here and found exactly what I wanted and for a great deal thanks to Otto Kurtz ! He was not only knowledgeable about the products but worked creatively to get me the best deal. He was extremely honest with me and unlike your typical sales experience there was no pressure and he had me laughing the entire time ! Thank you Otto Kurtz and manager Mike . Make sure you ask for Otto when looking for your new furniture ! You'll not only get the best deal but will enjoy your time there - be sure to ask him about the 5 piece special :) ! read more

I am STILL waiting for my dresser to be delivered. It was originally promised on December 20th with the rest of my furniture. Next, it's on backorder and will be delivered on the 27th. Nope, no one ever called and scheduled the delivery so I called on the 26th to find out what was happening. It was not scheduled and India, the customer service employee stated that it had just arrived at the warehouse on Christmas. Not true, that was a lie. The warehouse wasn't even open on Christmas so it's impossible that it would've been delivered that day. Next I get scheduled for the 31st. Still doesn't arrive and when I call to check on it, it was never scheduled because they don't deliver on mondays. Now I'm scheduled for the 7th. Guess what? Wrong again! Why, you ask? Because they don't deliver on mondays! So I'm now scheduled for the 8th of January. I receive a call to confirm delivery time which is set for 9:45-12:45. The delivery guy calls and says he's 10 minutes away. I make room for the dresser (I've been living out of boxes this entire time), he arrives and sees where the dresser is going. He goes back to the truck only to return empty handed. The dresser is on a different truck and now won't be here until 2:00. I'm fed up! I was promised $100 off my delivery by my salesman Damion Black, that never arrived. I was promised a $50 credit for all the inconvenience, there's no record of that. I still don't have my dresser and everyone I talk to seems to be more interested in lying than in solving this issue. Never again Ashley Homestore! You can kick rocks! read more

Made a significant purchase the end of January including (2) lamps. They only had one in the store but have repeatedly told me they have others in the warehouse. Sales rep said it would be delivered with our order. It wasn't. Sales manager said she would look into it (twice)and call. Never called. Another lady behind the counter said she would look into and call. Never called. Once the sale is over, no customer service at all. Lost any future business from me. read more

Unbelievable but thank god for Contact 2 here in St. Louis that will get to the bottom of it. Worst customer experience going on day 10 with no resolution on damage to home by Delivery Driver. I was in the Ashley store on Manchester 9/10/18 on my lunch and a lady had fallen who had a walker and was with some type of care taker. I overheard the employee call someone, I assume a manager, and no one came right away. I then heard the employees talking and saying that the managers told the employee they were in some type of meeting. Must be a very serious meeting not to leave and check on a fallen customer. Meanwhile the lady sat helplessly on the floor. Someone in a write coat of some kind came and was apologizing to the lady on the floor and I heard them tell someone on a radio or walkie talkie that he may need to come out the meeting. I think I heard the name Rob or Ryan he called, not sure if this was the manager or loss prevention or who he called, but I hope I never have a fall and they in a meeting. The lady sat on the floor for at least 15 minutes before anyone came. I was on lunch and about to leave and could hear the poor lady keep saying call an ambulance I just need help getting up. I guess they were afraid to help her up because of the possible injury. The ambulance guys came before the one guy with a clipboard made it. I think he was loss prevention or a manager, not sure but it was no since of urgency. I think the one guy told the lady on the floor he was some type of manager. This was sad, what type of meetings do they have that they can't leave if someone falls and could be hurt? read more

My family and I went here to purchase a sectional a few days ago after going to MULTIPLE different furniture stores in the area. We were looking for something very specific due to space constraints and the two Ashley employees that we worked with, Nichole and Derek, were so patient and knowledgeable that the process went quick, smooth and without any weird pressure. Even when we were pretty sure which couch we wanted they showed us a few other options (all in our price range) just so we could be 100% sure. We didn't feel at all rushed. They had a great sale going on at the time and we actually ended up spending less than we planned, and I believe that we got a higher quality couch than we would have at other stores. It was a low pressure and professional sales process and we will definitely return to the West County location in the future! read more

Horrible experience... Great in store experience... Do not purchase anything from Ashley... My furniture has still not been delivered a month after purchasing. Only excuse I receive is that Ashley carries no inventory and only purchase from manufacturer as the furniture is purchased by a customer. Now if I want to cancel the order, I am told there is a 10% charge to cancel my order... RIP OFF COMPANY !!!! read more

While I am excited about certain pieces of furniture I have received from this store, I am not pleased with the recent service I've had with receiving the furniture. The first time the furniture was delivered, the delivery guy forgot the wall mounts for my mirror. He promised he would be back the next day to install. I did not hear from him for a week, and wasted several days making sure I was either at home, or close to home since he would only give me a 30 minute heads up. I had to call the store to get replacement furniture anyways, so in my call I requested that someone bring the wall mount brackets when they come to replace the furniture. They assured me this would happen, but to remind the rep just in case when they call to confirm the delivery 48hrs in advance. I did just that, and the rep didn't see any record of my request. They said they would call within 24 hours to confirm the wall mounts would be delivered. I did not receive the call. When it came time for the 2nd delivery, the replacement furniture was delivered, but there was no record of needing a wall mount, thus the delivery guys did not have the brackets with them. The delivery men (great guys!) called on my behalf to voice how the mirror couldn't be attached to my dresser and wall without the specific mounting brackets. The rep said they would either deliver today, or call within 24hrs to tell me when they could come again. Again, no call or update. I called two days later to ask for the status of the wall mounts, and while there was record of the request, there was no update or apology as to why it hadn't been addressed. Instead, the rep mentioned they would have to purchase the wall mounts since they are no longer in stock, and this would take 7-10 business days. Once they were shipped to the warehouse they would call to set up a delivery date. This would mean it would be over 4 weeks at least since the first delivery that there's a chance of this getting addressed. When asked if I could speak to a manager about my experience or get some sort of discount for this taking forever, they said the only thing they could do was order the parts and have someone deliver them. Aka, what should have been down 4 weeks ago. As stated in the beginning, the furniture looks good, but the recent lack of communication and quality of service will lead me to other furniture stores in the future. read more

I ordered my couch on Black Friday from the store. I honestly felt brushed off by the salesperson because I wasn't spending thousands of dollars. I ended up buying a couch that I fell in love with. Since I do not have any time off at work, I asked for a Saturday delivery, which I was told could be on 12/8 from 10am-1pm. I confirmed my order two days before and received confirmation via text, email and voicemail. Friday night someone from customer service called and said that my items were on a truck that broke down and I now how to wait another 2-3 weeks. Now, I rarely get mad a customer service people because I've worked those jobs and know it's not their fault, but this seemed unfair. I asked who I could speak to since I will now have to take a day off with no pay from my job. I was told nothing could be done. The local store said my items were in but then changed their answer to match customer service. A third person reassured me that I would indeed get my items as promised; therefore, I got up early, moved all of my existing furniture ,cleaned and waited. 1 PM came and went, so I called the 866 number again. This time I was told my items were back ordered...then it changed to they are in the warehouse but they didn't get them on the truck in time. They did reimburse my delivery fee, but I'm not sure why they can't make any other logical effort like adding my order to the next delivery truck. Who goes to McDonald's or Target and is told to wait then asked to get back in line again behind everyone else in order to repeat the whole process? Their solution was to either wait or go get it myself from the warehouse. Had I spent more money, perhaps they would value my business. read more

Great service a Ashley West County St Louis. Beth was very helpful and patient as we picked our new family room furniture.

Bought a leather couch from Ashley a few years ago. Within a year the arm rests started discoloring from "wear" even though we both work nights and the kids watch tv in the playroom so the couch is rarely used. Then the edges of the cushions started cracking. Even the seats have started to wear! I couldn't believe it, leather in cars last for years and don't fade or crack even in direct sunlight all day. Is it too much to ask for couches the same quality of car seats? Even cheap leather coats don't fade and crack like this. This wasn't some cheap on sale couch, we paid full price, thousands of dollars. Now it looks like a 30 year old couch I bought from a garage sale. I feel scammed. read more

so I initially gave them 4 or 5 stars. When I went to the store everything was great, every thing was explained and very detailed. This past Saturday my delivery came, I had a king canopy bed frame and a bunk bed with mattresses for my son. The delivery guys started putting the king frame together, they noticed some of the railings was stripped. He said," I'll call the warehouse and see if it can get fixed today so while I'm waiting on the return phone call we'll do the bunk bed." After doing the bunk beds, we still didn't hear from the warehouse, so we told them to take the frame back, there's no point in leaving half of a frame up or leaving the railings. Sunday, I called and spoke with someone, she was nonchalant and kept saying" I don't know what we are going to do and I'll have the store manager call you tomorrow." We noticed they left a bag of screws and jacket so we returned it to the store on Sunday as well. Monday afternoon, I receive a call saying "what's the problem, and why did you refuse delivery"? I said, "we didn't refuse delivery the railings was stripped, my place isn't that big to just leave half finished projects laying around". The lady said well, we are going to have to charge you a 10% restocking fee, I said I don't know why when the defected railings should have never been in the warehouse to begin with nor sent/shipped off for delivery. After talking in circles for 5minutes or so, I just said forget and I'll pay the 10%. My experience wasn't the best, I'll never shop here again. Every experience is different just be cautious. read more

My Husband and I purchased a sectional on November the 2nd for over $2000 in a nice sale. The people in the store were friendly and helpful. We needed a left arm chaise instead of the right arm which was not in stock. While disappointed and wanting our couch much sooner, we completely understand and go ahead with the purchase agreeing to the delivery date of November 30th. Our couch arrived and as it's being unwrapped and put together my husband realized it is missing the armless chair piece. He calls to make them aware and is told they did notice that wasn't on the delivery ?? So you noticed you were missing a piece after waiting 28 days and you don't feel it necessary to call and tell us? You can barley offer an apology once he calls and to top it off you don't Have that piece in stock now and have to Order it!!!!!!! We asked for a Manager to call, this was Saturday Morning. No one ever called back so we called again Today and we are told It now won't be delivered until December the 13th!!!! I am outdone with it.... you charged us full price the day we picked it out and signed the paper work therefore all pieces were fully paid for and in stock except the left arm chaise .... we weren't waiting on the armless chair!!! Then we requested to speak with a manager and that's not allowed ( although the lady I spoke to at the call center was very polite and understanding) I can certainly understand that a Manager doesn't offer their personal number however I'd imagine there is an office number where I could leave a message and at the very least I should be able to email my concerns to a Manager but I was not allowed that either. read more

Mediocre quality furniture. Great deals advertised aren't always great. Billing isn't reliable. Probably won't go back.

I recently went to this location of Ashley to find some new furniture for my bedroom. I had heard good things about Ashley, so I thought, why not go check it out? Anyways, when I arrived, the store looked wonderful, with a vast variety of merchandise. My issue with this store was not the merchandise, quality, or appeal; the service. From the moment I walked into Ashley Furniture Homestore, not one of the employees greeted me, what-so-ever. Being in the store for about a half hour with my family, I couldn't understand why I was not greeted or serviced at all; must I mention I was not alone. Even when we were near or a consultant was passing by us, they didn't bear to open up their mouths to speak or even acknowledge our existance, which really pissed me off. I don't know why they acted in this way: stuck up, ignorant, rude, prejudice maybe? Age discrimination? One consultant was even around us for a while and just looked at us like she was disgusted. This store was RUDE, STUCK UP, DISCRIMINATORY, and just plain IGNORANT. **Ashley Furniture, if you are reading this, I thought you should know that you lost a valued customer. Unlike most people my age, 18. I pay for my own items, from my own pocket...not mommy and daddy's pockets. I was willing to pay a nice price for some beautiful furniture. You just lost a lot of money and time for your ignorance. Oh, and I'm DEFINATELY not a charity case. read more

I will never shop at Ashley Homestore again. My fiance and I have been so excited to turn our house into a home, and now it's become a headache. For our first big purchase, we decided to make our living room a little more cozy and buy a new sectional couch. We were so optimistic after talking to Damir at the Ballwin location, but clearly we should have done more research. We wanted to take advantage of the St. Jude special they had going on, so we pulled the trigger the day we walked into the store in an attempt to pay it forward. Because we are covering wedding expenses this year, we opted not to pay the ridiculous delivery fee (FYI, Carol House delivers for free). Damir told us that we could pick up our new couch from the warehouse on our own, and that we would have 48 hours to contact Ashley if there were any damages - without reading us the fine print. Apparently, even if Ashley provides a defunct product, that onus lies on the customer. My fiance had to take a half day at work (the warehouse closes at 5p.m., which, spoiler alert, most people work until 5p.m.) so that he could pick up the trailer he rented and get to the warehouse in time. When we got the couch home and unwrapped it, we discovered that it didn't have pre-drilled holes in the bottom of it to install the bases that came with it. Fast forward two days, and my fiance has spent countless hours on the phone with customer "service" reps to no avail. They told him that he could either bring the couch back to the warehouse, or we could PAY for a service tech to come out and drill the holes. Then, they told us that since we were already in possession of the couch, there would be no returns. Currently, my fiance is drilling the holes in the bottom of the couch himself, taking up his entire evening. In addition, we discovered that because the couch was sitting on the floor without the bases we COULDN'T install, the staples on the bottom of the couch scratched the hardwood that my fiance just installed himself when he bought the house. Frustration and disappointment doesn't even begin to cover this. I would highly advise anyone looking to buy from Ashley Homestore to do their research and shop elsewhere. read more

My wife went into the store today to purchase some candlesticks for our living room. We wanted to purchase them and take them home and if they were not suitable, be able to return them. When she asked the salesman if they could be returned, she was told that the corporate policy on accessories is that all sales are final. This is ridiculous as we were not prepared to spend several hundred dollars on candlesticks and not be able to return them if they did not match the rest of the decor. She did talk with the manager who reiterated the corporate policy, but in the end said he may be able to make an exception if we could get the items back the same day. We have previously spent several thousands of dollars at this store on furniture, but will be going elsewhere in future. read more

I hadn't been here in a few years but remembered liking more things the last time I came. The furniture here certainly isn't remarkable but it is very well-priced. They were offering a 75% off accessories sale when we stopped by this past weekend. We saw one very nice dark leather l-shaped sofa for about $650 but leather's not really my thing. But if your style is more country-ish or traditional, you will probably appreciate many of the choices here, and especially the prices. read more

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with Ashely Homestore! I have honestly never left a review in my life, at least not a bad one however I felt this needed a write up. We recently moved and decided to furnish our home with a dresser, mirror and two nightstands from the store. We purchased in store and were set up for delivery (with a fee) two weeks later. We were promised, and I quote, "white glove delivery service, from truck to wherever we wanted in our house." Unfortunately, that didn't happen. Two days prior to the delivery date we were told that our dresser wouldn't make it because it was on backorder. Ok, no big deal, not sure why we weren't made aware of this sooner as we had already taken off work, but things happen and we deal with it. We were told by the delivery team that our nightstands would still be delivered. Good thing because my wife already took off work. Well the nightstands didn't show. For whatever reason our account was frozen at the time the backorder was realized and all items were scheduled for around 3 weeks later. Two days prior to the delivery, I confirm via there phone service. Delivery anticipated any time between 11-3pm. Great, I took off work and will be there all day. Around 1 pm I call to check on the status. "You are 9th on the delivery list and they are currently at stop 7." No problem I am here waiting. I get a call at 230 pm, from the delivery team, "the truck is en route to your place." Great I am here waiting. "Should be there in 10 minutes." Ok. 1 hour later .... still nothing. I call the delivery team, "I'm sorry, you were marked as not at home, and the team has moved on to another delivery." Ok WHAT? I spoke with someone who said they took a picture in front of my apartment building, showing that no one was home. Even though I spoke to someone and told them I was home waiting. Even though I live in an apartment building with an open door policy during the day. Even though I have a call box access with direct line to my cell phone. (never called). Even though my windows face the street and I was watching all day. To end this entirely too long of a story I called to see what happened and they had no answer to why I was never contacted or why my furniture was never delivered. This was the second time we had to miss work for this furniture, and we were very upset. TLDR: we cancelled our order and requested a refund after a two failed delivery attempts including one in which the delivery didn't even make an attempt to delivery. read more

My wife saw an ad for a TV stand that would fit nicely for the TV that we bought for our grand-daughter for her 21st birthday for $88.00. My wife called the store, talked with "Joel," who told her that yes, he had the stand, didn't need a charge number to hold it because he had six in stock. We could come over and get one anytime. My wife called me, I traveled 1/2 hour to get there before 8:30 PM, because she wanted the table right away. After arriving, I met Joel and he showed me the table. I said I'd take it, charged it to my discover card, after which Joel mentioned that he really didn't have the table in stock, I'd have to pick it up at the warehouseI another 1/2-hour away the next day, because the warehouse closes earlier than the store (8:30 PM). I said I'd settle for the demo unit on the floor, but he would not sell it to me, saying he would lose his job if he was unable to display it. I said "you could get one delivered tomorrow, I'm sure that the warehouse has trucks that deliver there every day, probably several times. (They have many stores in St. Louis, and I've read that they are a sister store to Phillips furniture, which was in Kirkwood, and from where we have purchased several items before. It was almost 9 PM and the store was about to close any minute anyhow). There was no one else in the store except another salesperson. I asked for a manager, he was not there. Joel said there would be a $91.00 delivery fee for an $88.00 table ($179.00 plus tax, total, if I wanted it delivered) After I claimed that was ridiculous, Joel explained that when you buy an entire house full of furniture, it was still $91.00, a bargain. After I got home, I called my attorney, Scott E., who told me that I was a textbook victim of "Bait & Switch." "Take them to small claims court, add the amount of time spent wasting my time, multiply by the amount I charge for my tutoring services ($60.00/hour) and will handily win the claim. Joel was a very young salesman and obviously not trained in the legal aspects of selling, or was obviously and obliviously (or not) practicing an illegal scam to make a sale. I made the worst mistake of my life by switching furniture stores and going to Ashley. I purchased the North Shore Poster bed with canopy bedroom set that I have wanted for 9 years and now it is the biggest nightmare ever. I have been dealing with this issue for over a year now. I was sold the set on the premises that it was all wood to find that it is foam composite. The bed was damaged and after 5 new scheduled deliveries they never brought the right thing. So, finally a manager in a different state stepped up to the plate and resolved the damaged bed. Then the salesperson also told me to get the warranty and if I didn't use it I would be refunded in 5 years. Well, that's not true either. The truth is you get $500 to use on another purchase. So I wanted to cancel. I was given the number to GVS and its been 4 months and I still do not have my money back. Then I called the manager this past Friday whom I had resolved the bed issue with and she phoned the store for me and talked to someone who said the manager would call me Saturday. I never heard from her, so I called today and she say she never got the message. So, she wants to offer me a discount on the plan instead of my refund. Very heartbreaking and disappointing considering how long I have been dealing with this. Now I still have to wait two days before she will have an answer. I WILL NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE NOT EVEN AN ENEMY! read more
