I ordered a sofa from this store almost two years ago, and unfortunately, the experience has been extremely disappointing. The sofa arrived with a defect, and when the store attempted to service it, the condition was actually made worse. Since then, I have made several service calls in an effort to resolve the issue. There have also been five separate attempts to redeliver the furniture that I originally ordered, and each attempt has failed. After nearly two years, the issue still has not been properly resolved. What is most frustrating is not only the quality of the furniture, but the lack of effective customer service and follow-through. A problem that should have been resolved long ago has continued for almost two years, requiring repeated calls, service appointments, and failed deliveries. I purchased my sofa online in August 2021. The day it arrived, I was out of town. The very next day, the Caldor Fire broke out & I was evacuated for 18-days. When I returned, I sat on the couch & the reclining mechanism didn't work. I called Ashley & asked them to replace it with a new couch. Nope, they're sending a guy out to fix it. 2 months later, maybe? Can't remember exactly. Repairman comes out & confirms it's broken. He needs to order a part. 3-4 months go by. No part. I call (and Good God, don't even try to call - you'll be hold for ages) - the part was not ordered. Ashley orders it, it comes in, and here I am waiting for a repairman another month. He comes in, fixes it, I also show him that by now the UBS port doesn't work either. Also, the mechanics for the recliner push up into the sofa making it extraordinarily uncomfortable. I tell the repair guy this. He grabs packing materials from the box the part came in & shoved it into the seat - you cannot make this stuff up. Several weeks go by, the couch breaks again. Ashley is ordering me a replacement of the same couch. It is now May. They have rescheduled the delivery & are now delivering on the very day I am moving to a new house. I do not want this couch - so much so, that I'll be loading it up & dropping it on the doorstep of Ashley in Folsom. I literally do not care what they do with it. I am self-employed. My last day off was in August. I worked very hard to save that $1200 for a new couch and I'm out $1200 over this debacle. You know what? It's been 10-months since I started this process & I am fresh out of fucks to give. Keep my money. Ashley is like a bad boyfriend - cut him loose & don't look back. I am also filing complaints with the BBB, reviewing on Google & filing a suit in Small Claims. This company is the absolute worst I've ever dealt with. Worse than Verizon, Comcast & a car dealership. Their furniture is actually decent quality. Their salespeople are great. But their customer service after the sale is absolutely horrendous. They hang up on you. They ignore you. I bought a decent amount of furniture, got home same day, looked at the receipt, and realized they overcharged me. Not much but $250. The manager told me he would credit it to my card. That was about 3 months ago, still not received the credit. I called talked to rude representatives at corporate. They promised me they would fix it. Still not credit. I called back talked to a manager at corporate, same promise, she even promised to call me back, literally nothing happened. I've now spent hours on hold waiting to talk to rude employees, months waiting for my credit. Me paying interest on the money they borrowed from me. Absolutely pathetic. After waiting about 90-days for them to credit me what they told me they would, I finally just disputed it through my credit card. Now my remote control breaks on the fireplace I bought from them. I reach out to see if I could buy a new one, they literally just told me in the chat they couldn't help me. I would ABSOLUTELY NOT do business with them. It's one thing to have a bad employee or two but literally no one would help me at corporate. It's clearly a training issue and not worth the headache of trying to get them to do what's right. read more

Wasted an entire afternoon waiting on a delivery that was supposed to happen today between 12-3. When I finally got to speak to someone around 4:30, after lots of time on hold & numerous attempts-I was told that the driver had cancelled all of his routes today & I would have to reschedule. After calling a second number & finally getting someone different on the phone, I was told that there had been a glitch in their system & that my items wouldn't even be in the Ashley warehouse until Sept 6th. Edit review (11/4/17): was given store credit for our mattress after complaining to BBB and social media. Glad the issue was corrected to some extent but will still not change my star rating for the month of issues that should have never been. On a side note no issues were ever experienced in store, just with the corporate office. Original review: Well after a month (as of this Saturday) of sleeping on a bed with a 6-inch lump, my husband received official word by Ashley furniture the fate of our mattress. Over the two weeks (yes, because it took over two weeks to actually get someone out to look at the bed), we have been given the run around as to why they will not stand by the warranty we purchased 4 years ago in August 2013 when we bought our bed frame and mattress (I have all original documentation including the receipt and warranty). The two reasons they gave us over the last 3.5 weeks were: there are stains and we damaged the bed by moving. 1) I'm not sure what their definition of a stain is but these are the three dime-sized discolorments they speak of. We have literally slept on this bed with a matress pad and sheets for over 4 years. You expect there to be no discolorment? People spend half their lives sleeping. There are two of us sleeping in this bed for 4 years! Of course it's not going to be perfect but if you look at an image of the mattress, nothing stands out, because my husband and I are responsible people. These are close ups of the "stains." I feel like this is fairly normal for a bed that's been slept on by 2 people for over 4 years. Does Ashley expect that they're customers won't sleep on the bed? On a side note, after reading the warranty it never says that stains void a warranty, it simply says the limited warranty does not cover the following: fabric stains, soiling, and burns... We're not calling about "stains," we're calling about a six-inch lump. After several phone calls, we had a conversation on Saturday 10/28, I remind you this all started on October 7. In this conversation the man told my husband the warranty was void because there were stains. My husband asked if the stains caused a 6 inch lump in which he was told no. Also in this conversation we were told if we had the mattress professionally cleaned it would "unvoid the voided warranty." Even though I find this absolutely absurd and in no way can this be held by warranty, it's something we were willing to do because it's a heck of a lot cheaper then getting a new mattress. The guy said he would talk to his manager and get back to us. We received a phone call the next day over 24 hours later and the story changed. We were now told we damaged the bed by moving it. 2) I want to see where in this warranty it says you can't move. You truly expect people to never move their bed in one house let alone move houses and not move the mattress? We have moved twice prior to this with this same bed and mattress and never had a six-inch lump form. This time, we moved even closer, about 3.5 miles away. We even took a second trip specifically for the bed. The only time the bed was event turned was to take it down stairs and then up stairs. You're telling me that moving a mattress as it was intended to creates a six-inch lump? Once again, this is absolutely absurd. The tech that came out to take pictures even said he had never seen anything like it. I'm pretty sure if it came from moving the bed he would have seen something like this before as people move homes and move their beds around in their homes all the time. Where in this warranty does it say the owner can't move or how to properly move the bed? The warranty actually says it does not cover transportation costs, so how would you like to me to move it and ensure it's being moved how you'd like? Actually the warranty says verbatim, "Do carry your mattress flat on its side. It's easier to handle and you'll be less likely to damage the mattress." First of all, I'm pretty sure this is common sense. I'm pretty sure this is what we did. There is no way carrying a mattress on it's side down stairs and then up another set of stairs created a six-inch lump. Honestly, Ashely is just trying to find any reason they can not to make this situation right which is truly unfortunate as I feel it's an easy fix on their part as a company. Today (after waiting for a couple days for a return call) my husband finally spoke to someone who said that the warranty does not cover the mattress, only the bed frame. OK first of all -- if it hasn't covered the matress all this time, why the hell have you been talking with us over the last month about why it's damaged? If that was always the case, it should have never even been a discussion. Also, I have the warranty. I received a chair as a gift purchased at Ashley Furniture last Christmas (2015). I assembled the chair according to instructions. It was fine for about a month, it now tilts to the right. I contacted Ashley Furniture and explained my situation. I have no receipt nor do I know which store this was purchased. All I know is, the chair is useless, unless you like your chair tilting to the right. I got a reply today from Ashley Furniture letting me know that I am out of luck. A national corporation that cannot take care of their customers when they relocate. I have been trying to get an arm cover replaced on a recliner bought in Seattle. The Seattle store could not send their repair tech out before I had to vacate the house I sold. I thought, "what a mistake' I could contact them in my new city Las Vegas and hire a tech to repair the chair. I purchased the replacement part in advance. The local Ashley's store here refused to provide their tech or provide the name of an upholstery repair company that is familiar with repairs on their products. Also, not buying in their "franchised" area meant they could not find my name in the local data base and therefore could and would not help. Here is the reply from the Wisconsin: This was not a warranty issue. Oh! the Seattle store would not fly their tech down to fix it at my cost! Terrible experience. We ordered a bookcase and they never showed on the delivery day. I called their customer service number (can't speak to the local store). Customer service said that they have been having issues with deliveries. She rescheduled our delivery for a week later. I take off another day of work, and the delivery didn't show up even though they called to say it would be a morning delivery. The next day we called and they gave us a new delivery date for the following week. I totally see why Amazon is putting places like this out of business. read more

Brad Thomas was great at helping us figure out what we wanted and went above and beyond looking up information for us, helping us match paint colors to furniture, etc.. He knows his "stuff" and helped us put together 3 rooms of furniture, which we love! Plus, he stayed late to help us finish up with everything. Delivery was on time - actually 1/2 hr. early, which was great. Cory was very professional and helpful. Set everything up and tried everything out to make sure the recliners worked, etc. Great experience! read more

Amazing service! I ordered furniture from both Ashley Home store and Wayfair. Ashley hands down had the absolute best service.

We had a great experience in working with Chris Fritz. The furniture is pricey, but I wholeheartedly believe in the age old adage that you do get what you pay for. We originally visited looking for a rug in Sept 2016 but were unsuccessful. We ended up getting a tour of the beds from Chris, who was extremely knowledgeable and not your typical salesman in terms of being pushy. His personality is what brought us back in Nov 2016 to upgrade our bed and frame. While it was a little more than what we wanted to spend, Chris continued to outdo himself in professionalism. We are scheduled to get the bed and frame this Sat, so I cannot comment on that aspect yet, but due to our experience with Chris, I am sure that we will not have any issues. In fact, I just received a text message to confirm for the delivery date. We also ended up doing their financing, which is a first for us, but to have no interest for 72 mos is not a bad deal in our opinions. It was also really easy to sign up for. read more

Kennesaw, GA 30144 - 840 Ernest W Barrett Pkwy NW Ste 400 Furniture offgassing toxic chemicals. Bought houseful of furniture from Ashley Furniture in Kennesaw, GA. Can smell furniture offgassing chemicals. Began feeling sick shortly after furniture delivered...headache, sore, dry itchy throat, watery eyes, nausea, dizziness, trouble concentrating. Became worried when I continued feeling sick day after day. Did internet research. Found out that furniture manufacturing is not really regulated, and there are 9 potentital toxins in the furniture...Pthalates, VOcs, PBDEs, PFCs, PCEs, Formaldehyde, Triclosan, Chlorine and Ammonia. Guess what? They cause the very same symptoms that I'm having. I notified Ashley local and corporate of the issue on May 10, 2017 after having the furniture for 2 weeks or less, depending upon which piece(s). While there have been a couple of employees that have tried to help and do the right thing, management and corporate are not interested in doing the right thing. In this case, I just want to return the toxic furniture and have them issue me a refund for the cash that I paid...it was nice chunk of change...all paid via debit card...essentially cash. I have spent many days and hours now on the phone with both the local store and corporate. ( Oh...and they also owe me a refund for a loveseat that we had refused on 2 delivery attempts for the same manufacturing defect (holes and scrapes and on the second attempt to include missing feet) They have that in their possession, but we don't have the money we paid. We even went into the store to speak to a manager, and that manager, Julie simply dismissed us and didn't refund us for the loveseat they have in their possession that we never took delivery of in the first place. ) The store manager at Ashley Furniture in Kennesaw, GA, Karen Powell, has never returned our phone calls or spoken to us on the phone or in person. She is avoiding us. After several days of spinning our wheels with both local and corporate, another kind and upstanding ( one of the few) local Ashley employees told me to file a complaint with the BBB and to go public on social media because her manager wasn't going to help us. That employee even told me that she was upset with her manager for not handling the situation appropriately...or rather, at all. I did file a complaint with the BBB, but it went to the BBB in Wisconsin because that's where there corporate headquarters are located, so no one looking only at the GA BBB will see my complaint. I was hopeful that I would hear from someone locally who will do something or from corporate who will do something to fix the problem. So far, I have heard nothing. I called the Wisconsin BBB and was told that Stacy had been working on my complaint for the past two days. At that point, I was transferred to Stacy and had to leave a voicemail. I haven't heard back from her yet. I forgot to mention earlier in my review that we were told to call corporate and schedule a technician to come out and "test" the furniture for chemicals. We went in circles with corporate and got the technician scheduled for today. At around 10:30 am, 2 guys from US Quality Furniture Service showed up. They said they were there to take pictures and inspect 2 love seats. We told them that we actually have a houseful of Ashley Furniture that is supposed to be tested. Turns out they don't test furniture for chemical toxicity. We did have them photograph all of the Ashley furniture that we have though. Turns out that Ashley Corporate and local lied to us. I'm not shocked, but I am angry. I called Ashley Corporate back about this matter, and the customer service agent was less than friendly. Rude seems to be their motto. She wanted me to name the people who were trying to actually do the right thing, and I refused to rat them out to her. Then she put me on hold, and after 15 minutes, I hung up. That's when I called the Wisconsin BBB. By the way, this has been going on for over a week now. It's taking up a lot of my time and causing a lot of stress. I think my next step is to find an attorney and anyone else who will listen and maybe do something to fix the issue. You can't find the corporate offices on line -- This is the worst furniture store! They don't tell you they are having your items shipped until AFTER you have ordered and paid for them . . then you find out you are getting them via UPS! Then UPS loses your furniture -- they are not helpful . . when to where I purchased and am paying for unreceived furniture and you get caught in the eternal hold, disconnect!!! They don't want to talk to you at all! Why should they; they got your money ... they don't care if you got your furniture or not! I'm in shock - tried to call a retail store locally and guess what - ALL numbers go to the same eternal hold number! IT'S A TOTAL NIGHTMARE! I just hoping I either get the merchandise I purchased or a refund . . . which I also have heard is promised but never given! I don't have over $500 to throw away! I searched many funiture stores and also many brands of furniture. I wanted a couch and recliner or loveseat that was firm and supportive and also reclined. After sitting on many different pieces that were too soft or uncomfortable I found the nicest and most comfortable set at Ashley. Brad Thomas was very patient with me as was my husband also in finding the right fit for me. I am very pleased with our choice and want to thank all of the staff at Ashley for their services. read more

I ordered an entertainment center from them. Very nice looking, very excited to get it. After about a week and three time frame changes (which they can never give you a guaranteed time) they finally came. The delivery guys were out of shape, lazy, and didnt seem to care. They set it up and ended up breaking the top shelf of the entertainment center. With no apology, no seem to care, nothing, he tells me it will take a couple of weeks to get a new one delivered. Again, i had to be home for the delivery. With three time frame changes, me being home all day, and a lot of patience they finally arrived with the shelf. The guy who showed up, no apology, didnt seem to care, just comes in sets up the shelf and leaves. I will never recommend ashley furniture to anyone. They are very disorganized, lack communication, have overrated furniture, and just dont know how to run a business. There are better furniture stores out there, skip this one. On July 1, 2014 we entered your West Covina Store with the intent to buy a living room accent chair. We found an incredible deal for a whole living room set, we were being helped by Julio who then told us we could pick any table set, carpet, accessary set, and lamps in the store to mix and match with our purchase. My wife and I shopped for hours picking out the items we loved, we were then handed off to another associate who when taking our order told us the items we selected would change the price because we could mix and match but only from select items (very frustrating). So back to shopping, we paid in full for the merchandise and delivery which took over an hour. We however were very satisfied with our furniture and price. The first associate Julio should have been much more clear on the terms of the mix match so we could have made this visit a better shopping experience. We were paying cash and were then kept waiting for about an hour just to check out, also very stressful seeing on how we were not financing. On July 14, 2014 we received a call from the West Covina store to reschedule our delivery due to our order not being in stock, I immediately declined and informed the associate that I could not reschedule due to me already have taken the time off. I am in the Air Force and cannot change my days off on a whim. The associate was very short and said that there was no choice and I had to reschedule, so asked for her manager. The manager I spoke to was rude and very unprofessional, she continuously apologized for me (i.e. I'm sorry you feel that way, I'm sorry you understood differently, I'm sorry you can't change that, etc.) this was condescending, and said that was nothing to do about it. I asked for her manager, his name was Everett, and I explained I could not change the delivery date due to the nature of my work and schedule. I explained that I have taken a day of leave to get this done, initially he was also very abrasive and explaining how this is how it is. He was to look some things up and call me back at 1:40pm. To no surprise 1:40pm came and went so I called him at 3:00pm and got a hold of him to finally discuss what was going on. As a customer I am very disappointed in this companies way of doing business, its lack of professionalism and customer service. The way it considers its customers' needs is atrocious. As a first time Ashley customer I would never recommend this store to anyone, and hope that no one else has to go through this experience. When walking into Ashley we made it clear that we required a specific date of delivery due to my Leave requirements. My wife and I were told that this was no problem and Ashley makes its own furniture and this was not a problem. I contacted corporate today 17 July 2014 and spoke to Gina who transferred me to someone else because I was requesting the Regional Manager of the West Covina store contact me. She proceeds to explain to me the terms and conditions that I should have read, basically to bad so sad. I explained to her that the associates guaranteed the delivery, and she said at the time it was accurate but things change, so then it's not guarantee is it?. I hope you can understand where this frustration is coming from, and I just want what we agreed to and was guaranteed by your company. The company should really hold its associates accountable for what they say to your customers, and it should do its best to make it right for its customer. It's very unprofessional for your company representative to make empty promises and for its management to dismiss these promises, instead of sympathizing for its customer/consumers. I hope this serves as a learning tool to change sales training and possibly improve company overview of stock. We recently purchased a lot of furniture at the Ashley Home Store in Arcadia. The sales representative was very helpful and kind, however, the delivery was not so great. When they arrived their truck got hung up on the power line that is connected to our house and they ripped it out of our house. We were without power for 4 hours. They also did not take their shoes off or put booties on when bringing the furniture into the house. My floors were completely full of snow and mud. After all of this we thought that we would hear back from Ashley Furniture concerned whether we got the power back on, but we didn't. We paid an electrician to come and restore our power and we had to call Ashley to find out whether they are going to pay for our electrical bill. NOTHING!! It took 6 days for someone to call us back and then to tell us that their insurance company will look into it. It seems that they really didn't care what happened and that they weren't the least concerned about what happened. Although we like our new furniture, we are deeply disappointed in their lack of concern and making things right with what had happened. read more

ordered 2/12. called customer service on 2/15.. on hold, with no answer, for 30 minutes (would have been longer but had things to do). emailed them as well... no response. received 3 purchased items on 2/16. 2 of the 3 were damaged. emailed them again... 26 hours since i emailed about damaged products and no answer. still no answer from my 2/15 email. they should change the name of the "customer" service department to Ashley service department because they ignore the customer. should not be allowed to use an email with customercare in it because that could not be farther from the truth. and there should be a way to enter a review without any stars... in this case 1 is still implying overrated. read more

I went to pick out a new table set and chairs. All of the sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful. Chris Fritz, who helped me, had excellent customer service! After my sale was done I decided to get the warrantee, so the paperwork needed redone. The Sales Manager, Cami Johnson , was very helpful to get this completed and she was very efficient ! We bought an electric chair for my disabled husband from HHGregg before they went out of business. It was a hardship to purchase it, but it was necessary. We have not even had it three years and the material is coming off so badly that he leaves bits of it everywhere he goes. I am constantly having to sweep it up, and it gets in the sheets too! Now one of the arms underneath that keeps the footrest down is broken, and the footrest will not stay down. This is a piece of junk. I've contacted the company several times and have given them everything they asked for except for a receipt. I tried to find it through my bank credit card statement, but we must've used a different card. I am also disabled, and this is quite difficult for me to deal with. We thought this chair would last many years. Now I don't have th energy or money to deal with getting another. Brad in the store did a great job handling our furniture order. All the furniture came when he said it would. He even called to let us know when furniture was in. He says he does that with all customers no matter how small the furniture order. You could tell our satisfaction was important to him. I would give a -5 star if I could. Worst business I have ever dealt with. They do not stand behind the junk they sell nor the companies that sell their junk. We furnished our entire house with Ashley Junk. it was delivered in January 2009. Every single piece of the furniture has literally fallen apart. We have a sofa that has torn due to the velcro they use to attach the cushions, the springs have broken and popped a hole, and there is a rip. Our Bed was the cream cottage poster bed. The foot board posts have cracked in half. The coffee table was delivered to us with powder beetles in it!! I placed a piece of tape over it they took it back then delivered a table that the entire top was warped. I refused that one so they gave me back the beetle table that still had the tape on it. Our daughters bed had to be thrown out Ocean Side Retreat Trundle Bed after 2 years. It completely fell apart. There are three adults living in out home. I take great care with everything we have. This was strictly from everyday normal use. We purchased the Montage Premium. They said they only cover accidents and our problems were manufacturer defects. So I contacted the manufacturer at ASHLEY headquarters They told me they only have a 1 YEAR guarantee. So BEWARE if you want to pay thousands of dollars for your furniture to use for longer than 1 year DONT BUY ANYTHING FROM ANY ASHLEY!!!!! I guess we got lucky, we are going to be throwing the rest of ours out this year so we got 4 years out of it. Their Furniture is CRAP and no one wants to stand behind it. Well, do you blame them if I produced such garbage, I wouldn't want to admit it either. I am not the only person with this problem. I know of two other families going through this same thing. I have spent many hours, dollars on postage, photos fighting this problem. Go To Rooms to Go or Kanes anywhere instead of Ashley Furniture. read more
