DO NOT BUY, HORRIBLE SERVICE. if I could give a 0 rating I would. one of our cats peed on the couch we purchased and I've been dealing with the insurence department for weeks. i paid 500$ on top of the regular insurence for extra pet protection. it took them 5 days to send out a cleaning tech and then when it obviously wasn't fixed, they said there would not replace it. WHATS THE POINT OF THE INSURANCE!?!! the cushion reeks of urine. This place is the worst experience I've ever had and I hope no one shops here. Pointless and stupid. I want my new cushion! read more

I ordered it at the store. It arrived at the store in a few days. I was pleasantly surprised when I went to pick it up to find it was already assembled. I had been told I would have some assembly. Issues were: adjustable base pulled up bed frame: contacted store immediately they had ME call the manufacturer: had to call store sales & general manager to get any action. After 4wks n many visits from service it was decided that the base would never work with the frame and to pick out a new set. 3000.00 more we r still dealing with lost or damaged furniture. called to speak to managers but they NEVER call u back. They have their money but we have no bed frame or side table. We have dealt with multiple levels at Ashley, delivery, sales staff, general managers from 2stores and they all are sorry but we still have this issue Since SEPTEMBER. This has been the most mismanaged sale. I have bought furniture before from here but can't say I would even consider walking in any of their stores again. read more

UPDATE #2! No one from the store or corporate got back to me after I contacted them again. However, today I got a call about scheduling the work. That's 2 months later. There's no excuse for such poor customer service. Anyway, I fixed the sofa myself with about $80 worth of hardwood boards from Menards. I used the OSB parts as templates, beefed up the design, glued and screwed the new parts to the old as reinforcement, added some gussets, and put it all back together. Now the sofa is as solid as possible. It's about 40lbs heavier than before, but that's a good tradeoff to know if won't collapse when company sits on it. read more

Purchased a $4500 "leather" sectional 1.5 years ago with a warranty that is supposed to cover everything. I was literally told I could put a cigarette out on it and it would be covered. Cut to present day my couch has a tear in it .. being the fact that I was charged $400 for my warranty I wanted to make a claim. The claim center told me they don't repair my couch because it's not leather?! I've currently been emailing back and forth with a gentleman who continues to tell me he will get back to me when he hears from corporate.. that's been over 2 weeks ago at this point. I'm EXTREMELY displeased with their resolution skills as a company. This is my 3rd full room I've purchased from them and after I've just purchased a new home in July I plan to look elsewhere for furnishing my 2 spare bedrooms and my formal living room. read more

She then gave me time to look around to get a feel for what I liked. She moved pieces from one side of the store to the other so I could see pieces together. We came up with an awesome looking combination of furniture. I was planning to shop around but didn't need to. I also wasn't planning to finance but their 0% financing is very tempting. We bought 2 recliners a sofa and a love seat. After the lying sales person filled out the paperwork and set up delivery we got our furniture, unfortunately it rained that day so we got wet furniture. It was documented and they said sorry. 2 weeks later the foot rest broke on the sofa so we called and they said they would come fix it, scheduled a serviceman to come out in a month and when he got here he looked at it and said they had to get parts. The idiots where told exact what was broken when we called. Now 2 months later I called to find out when it was getting fixed and I was told they had to order parts yet. I will never go in that store again and I will fix my sofa by myself. At least it will be done right then. read more

NOW! I can finally write my review about my experience because today 10/30/2019 my couches were finally fixed! I purchased my couches, table, rug, and tables back in May. The deliver guys were GREAT set everything up really fast and was really polite. I was was only able to get my couches that day I had to pick up my table, rug, and lamps at the store. When they were done setting up my couches I noticed two tears in both of my couches they said the one tear was probably from them when they took it out and slid it on the ground. The guy said, "no problem we'll get you NEW couches" Long story short I wasn't able to get NEW couches after I was promised. The company wanted to send repair guy to come look at them. I live in Oshkosh and the repair man only comes to Oshkosh on Wednesday and Thursdays.. DURING WORKING HOURS. It was nearly impossible for me to take off work so my boyfriend had to stay behind and wait for him got show up. I was under the impression my couches would be fixed THAT DAY since they've had pictures of my couches. NOPE. More pictures were taken and the fabric was just ordered that day and then we had to make ANOTHER appointment for him to come back again and actually fix it. Which again is during working hours and I'm not taking off for something that isn't my fault. During all of this the customer service team was terrible keept promising me the repair man would be there after a certain time because that's when I could get off work. On top of my couches being torn and taking almost 5 months for them to just fix it.. my tables I got were in bad shape as well when I picked them up at the store. when I put them together the table screws weren't tapped in correctly. If you get something from Ashley you better hope nothing is wrong with your furniture because it takes forever from them to fix it and it's on THEIR TIME. Even though it was their mistake they make you work around their schedule. This was my first purchase ever buying new furniture and I was beyond excited to just be let down. I went in to the store so get a new sectional and worked with an extremely irritating man. He didn't seem to know how to place the order and then promised that we would have it in less than a week. The first sectional we looked at we wouldn't have for about 5 weeks so we passed on it and picked out a different one that we also really liked and he told us we would have it in about 2 weeks. Well we get to the computer to set it up for delivery and while he was doing that pushed so hard for us to get the protection plan and all these cleaning things we kept saying we didn't want. After another hour of waiting we where told now that we wouldn't get it for about 4 weeks March 28th this time we caved frustrated and said fine. I got a call a few days later saying it wouldn't be able to be delivered until April 6th again now pissed said fine. I then get a call on March 29th telling me Now April 14th!!!! Nope done I told him if we didn't get it by April 6th or sooner I would cancel my order and demand a refund. They then called me back saying they could now deliver April 2nd or 3rd so why did they try to change my date all the way to the 14th. Unless you want to get the run around just stay away not worth it they lie and can't keep anything straight. read more

Update: Sent a repairman to the house for free. Satisfied with the end result. Bought a microfiber sectional in chocolate brown color for almost $850. 13 days after the 1 year warrenty expired I set a pair of folded jeans on one section of it and hear a loud pop. Sure enough the springs had shot through the bottom of the couch in 2 places ripping the fabric and pushed up on the fabric above ready to pop. The piece is unusable and due to their 5 year limited warrenty all that is covered is the springs themselves. I have to cover all of the labor and shipping if applicable etc. The original store I bought it from couldn't tell me who to call since I had moved to a different state. After locating a local store they gave me a 1-800 # to call in this specific situation. The couch broke on a Saturday night and I called both places Sunday and of course the 1-800 # is closed on Sundays. The furniture is so cheap and the piece that broke was the one of the two that was used much less. Go figure. Do not waste your money on this nonsense. read more

just wanted to share my experience with Ashley furniture since they seem not care about the quality of our furniture. It all started with some very expensive leather furniture that we bought from them. We bought the warranty that we have had to claim over 4 times for cracks, peels etc. They then refunded us the cost of furniture and told us we could pick out new furniture because they could no longer fix it. Once we picked out our new furniture we got a table that was delivered with a chip in it. We then had a new table that was delivered that AGAIN had another chip in it. Is it so much to ask to have a piece of furniture that is decent from this store? We then complained again.... just to receive a phone call from one of their employees saying that it was "over done" and they would give us $75 for the table and that we are stuck with the chip in at. I don't understand this?!?! Our table was over $1000. Why would we want something with a chip in it? Why would we want $75? Why can't we just have our furniture that we paid for without anything wrong with that? Why is it "over done?" Is it so much to ask to have a decent piece of furniture delivered to my house? I definitely will not be shopping here after the last phone call I have received from them and how rude the man was on the phone to me. I went looking for a new couch and wasn't intending to buy one that day. I have only looked at my couch options online and went in to get a good idea of what I was looking for. Autumn greeted us right when we walked in and showed us around and answered any questions that we had. Gave us some time to talk about what we liked and didn't like. We bonded really well with Autumn and she was very friendly, she knew every question that we asked and if she didn't know, she would quickly find out. After sitting in a couch that we were interesting in for a good amount of time, we eventually decided to buy it! Every single employee at Ashley's furniture was very nice and made us feel welcomed. Ashley refuses to stand behind an extended warranty which we purchased but was able to able find loopholes for every single piece of damage and why it isn't covered under the extended warranty. I filed the complaint with the Better Business Bureau and recommend that everyone else who has this experience file one also. I will never go back to this store ever again. read more

I purchased a beautiful tv stand with an electric fireplace in it that I love, but the customer service I received was horrible. During the tv stand being put into my vehicle the worker dropped one of the drawers that broke. To fix the problem, he went and took the drawer off the floor model and gave it to me. When I got it home it was not the same drawer, so the next day I called the store and they apologized and said they would order me a new drawer and the worker told me it would be one week to get the drawer in. Since I heard nothing in a week and a half, I called and no one knew anything about the drawer. I proceeded to call each week asking about the drawer and was told it was ordered then the next worker told me there were no notes discussing a drawer being ordered. I waited a month to get one single drawer ordered with no reimbursement from the company or apology. Instead workers tended to be rude and unhelpful to me after making a large purchase at their store. Additionally, when the drawer was finally delivered there was no hardware in the box such as the handles and screws to use in the drawer. It was evident these employees do not care about the customers, and I will not be purchasing more furniture from such an awful company. read more

My sales guy is almost sure he told me about the return policy, the 20% restocking fee, oh no it turned out to be 15% after reading the return policy book so had to call back to find out who is right, but it also says store credit or full refund but that depends on the number of days. so who gets the store credit?? After all I still haven't received my things so it isn't open or damaged, it is not even in my position. There are other places that doesn't penalize you for changing your mind. My daughter and her husband special ordered living room furniture 6 weeks ago and the store called to set up delivery. The day before, they got a phone confirmation for delivery between 7:30-10:30am the next day. At 10:00, they got a call stating there wasn't enough room on the truck for their furniture so they had to reschedule for the following week!!!! I would be willing to bet they didn't have it at the store at all! Horrible customer service! They had all of their old furniture out of the living room waiting for them to come. If they had a 7:30am delivery time, they would have been one of the first stops. Also, they had ALL DAY to get the truck emptied and reloaded with their furniture. The furniture quality and selection is great. The sales staff does a nice job and is helpful and engaging (just try getting someone at WGR to make eye-contact with you). I spent about $5K with them furnishing three rooms in a new house. I was very happy, but it all went south when it came to the delivery and really went downhill with the customer service follow-up. I had to stay home from work on delivery day, no big deal. They delivered everything and were setting up our fancy new dining room table when they realized that they'd left all the hardware to put it together at the warehouse. Customer service is supposed to call me, they never do, so i have to hunt them down. Eventually I have to miss a second day of work for the guys to come put the table together. They do...but then we discover that the table has a big scratch on it. Now, i'm beginning to get frustrated. I call customer service and tell them right away, they say they can't replace the table yet, a tech has to come take a look at it. I miss a third day of work for this. The tech fills the scratch as best he can, but its a big scratch - now the table just looks like it has a big scratch with brown marker in it - not looking like a new table. I call again and tell them that the fix didn't work. They offer me either a $30 discount (on a $750 table) or they tell me that i'll have to wait 6 more weeks for a new table (i bought this thing in Sept 2013 - its now Nov). I want what i paid for so i say let's wait. It's worth noting at this point that not one person has apologized for the trouble. Table is finally ready 6 weeks later, i miss a fourth day of work. Table is supposed to come at 1PM, so at 4PM i get a call that the delivery truck has an issue and my table won't make it today. (again no apology) I miss a fifth day of work, get a call that day that the table has been damaged and won't be coming. They tell me I'll have to wait another 6 weeks...again with no apology...At this point, i basically lose it. I asked the customer service manager to write my table off completely for the trouble. They can't do that, yadayada - eventually they offer me $150 bucks and even though it doesn't begin to compensate me for this, i take it - i just cant stand working with them anymore. Not a single person ever apologized to me for the trouble, they absolutely didn't do the right thing. So here i am, trying to save you some trouble on Yelp. Happy furniture shopping! read more

We were extremely pleased with our purchase from Ashley's! Not only the quality and price we received on our new bedroom set, but the wonderful customer service and professionalism, from our sales rep, Janie Peterson, to our two delivery people, Troy and Adam. Honestly we could not have been more happy! Janie assisted us numerous times to delay delivery as our remodel project took longer than expected, she also really did work hard to get us the best deal we could get! The two gentlemen who delivered our bedroom set were very respectful and professional, they were very careful with unloading and setting up the whole bedroom. We were very impressed and commented to each other that we could not have been more careful ourselves moving all of this into the house, in winter, through the downstairs, up the steps and down the hall to the bedroom. I bought the 5 year "covers anything" warranty for my coffee table. 1 year later leather top is ripped multiple seems are splitting so I submit the warranty... 6 months later and let's not forget how difficult it is to submit the claim it's set up to deter you from submitting the claim at all, it's denied. They said we don't cover "peeling leather or separating seems" I mean then what DO you cover??? Total lies. I went into the store and I was told, "Yeah your warranty isn't any good, but you can buy a NEW warranty for $91 and We'll get it replaced right away, but you'll have to buy a NEW warranty." I already have a warranty!!! So I need to buy 2 warranties because the first is a bad company!!! No they should convert my existing warranty to the new good one and jus fix the crappy table as was promised to me when I bought the first warranty. Not to mention I shouldn't be having these problems after just 1 year! The table shouldn't come apart like this!! I mean come on! This review is long overdue since we've been in our new house, but hopefully it will be helpful. We built a new house and ordered ALL of our furniture from Ashley. We ordered AND paid for it up front more than a month and a half ahead to guarantee that it would be delivered the day we moved in. Low and behold move-in day came and my daughter's bed wasn't on the truck....backordered. How did it get backordered if everything we bought was in-stock and paid for???? That was several phone calls and a reimbursement as the sales lady with whom we dealt with was all of the sudden hard to get a hold of. She got her commission, not her problem. We took our business elsewhere for the bed. I wish we had went somewhere else to begin with because the furniture quality is HORRIBLE!! The finish on our dining room table started peeling off only after a month. The coffee and end tables are doing the same thing. The chairs are wobbly and our bed fram is cracking. This was all within a month of purchase. I would not recommend this store to anyone. You would have better luck with lawn furniture!! read more

I spent OVER $5400 in furniture (dining set, living room set, and bedroom set)... and FOOLISHLY purchased the extended warranty for an additional $300. 2 years later... I attempt to file a claim on my 5 year plan... and need to fill out a claim form for each individual item... submit at least 2 photos for each item... provide the full receipt (which by the way, they still have on file... and I have confirmed this)... and then wait AT LEAST 30 days before anyone will be out to do any repair work. Again... I spent over $5400 on the purchase... and I am the one that has to do everything outside of fixing the actual item, in order to get the item fixed. With normal insurance, you file a claim in 10 minutes... they take care of the rest. Here... I do their work for them... even though I paid for the service. The warranty is through Guardsman... and Ashley Furniture has advised me that it is no longer their problem (even through they sell the warranty on behalf of Guardsman). I will NEVER deal with Ashley Furniture again... NEVER!!! read more

Purchased a sofa January 1st of all home delivery is a nightmare. They only deliver 1st Wednesday of each month only once for the entire month on their terms only. Horrible service from the Manager in the Appleton store. I called him left 2 messages, and emailed him never receive a response at all. When we were in the store he said he would do what he could do to work around our schedule. How can he do that if he won't call you back to take the information. My suggestion if you can't haul it yourself, don't waste your time with these guys. read more

We waited 4 weeks plus a few days to receive our 2 end tables. Not good, Ashley Homestore, not good! Corey, our sales guy, told us it could take between 2 and 4 weeks to receive. I questioned that time frame and was told it is a popular item. I emailed Corey for an update after 2 or so weeks but got no response. So after 3 weeks, I called the store directly. I was told our order should be available for pick up next week, which unfortunately for us was not the case. Once we got the call that our tables were in, we picked up our order and assembled the end tables right away. We discovered that one of the tables was defective, had a nail coming through the bottom shelf and the drawer was scratched. We contacted the store right away to get the ball rolling for a replacement end table. After a few days, Ashley finally contacted us and told us we'd have to wait another 2-4 weeks for delivery. Apparently this is a new product and they don't have a lot of demand for it yet. Not sure what they has to do with why it takes so long to receive and why we were told 2 different stories. So after all was said and done, we had to wait over 8 weeks to get both of our end tables. We will not be going back to Ashley Homestore again! read more

Where do I begin? My husband and I had just gotten married and wanted to purchase a new bedroom set. We went into the Appleton store and was created by John, the store assistant manager. We picked out some furniture from Witmer and was told if we did not do a custom color we would have it by March 4th at the latest, this was February 8th. Anyways, since we had order a new mattress elsewhere we wanted the furniture as soon as possible so we did not custom our order, instead bought stock items. Match 4th had came and went and not even a call from Ashley. My husband called and they had every excuse under the sun as to it was Witness fault why we did not have our stuff. Then come the 3rd week of March we received a call that our bed frame, and two dressers we ready. Per our request they delivered them, but of course not without a huge headache. First, we found out they broke the mirror, then while carrying up BOTH dressers they hit our wall, took out drywall on it and took a gouge out of BOTH dressers. Then it was like call this department they can repair the dressers, but call another dept to look at the wall. We missed so much work making phone calls and meeting different people at our house. 3 weeks later one of our night stands came and the mirror. We were still missing a night stand which we were told again was Witmer's fault. Finally we spoke with the general manager who was no help either! But we did find out that the final piece was misordered by the assistant general manager a MONTH late!! We are still dealing with them, but finally got all of our furniture over 3 months late!!! NEVER would I go there again or recommend it to anyone! I get mistakes happen but not all of these and then for them not to try to make it right is sickening!!! read more
