Ashley Store

UPDATE 11/30/25:…read more Store's Follow-Up Request Ignored by Management Despite the owner asking me to call the store manager about this unusable mattress, my message to the manager has gone unanswered for over a week. Meanwhile, this mattress continues to get worse. It simply cannot handle my 122 lb. body weight when in use. The materials instantly compress so much that I experience physical discomfort and soreness (an iPad on a stand next to the bed is now exactly level with my face while I'm lying down). This points to a massive failure in the product's support capacity. I'm forced to sleep on my couch now rather than my bed because of the hip and glute pain I'm experiencing. This company's system for resolving customer complaints is clearly broken if the manager ignores a significant issue a customer is having. I cannot recommend a company that sells low-quality products and provides zero follow-up customer service. I will file a formal complaint with the BBB and the NYS Consumer Protection Agency if I don't get a response soon. *****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** I purchased the Celestial Pegasus Plush Innerspring mattress and thought I'd finally get relief from the hip pain and foot numbness I had from my four year old Saatva latex mattress that I spent a fortune on. That wasn't the case. The Pegasus "Plush" wasn't plush at all and the hip pain and foot numbness continued. I should note the pain and numbness only happen when I'm lying down in bed so this isn't a medical issue. I used their exchange policy after sleeping on that mattress for 30 days and exchanged it for the Simmons Emerald Coast, which I was told was a plush mattress. Now I have a whole new pain - my glute is constantly throbbing from lying on this mattress and now I'm stuck with a very expensive mistake. Never purchase a pillow top from Simmons. They sag very quickly. After doing some Googling, I found out this mattress is best for back sleepers and I can see why. That's the only way to sleep on it without much pain, although I'm a side sleeper and can't get used to sleeping on my back. I told the salesperson that I am a side sleeper so I figured he was pointing me in the right direction for side sleepers. I don't have the money to purchase yet another mattress so I'm forced to live in pain. I never in my life had so many issues with mattresses and I know it's possible to be comfortable because I recently slept in a hotel and at a friend's and had no issues. Prior to purchasing the Saatva and then these two mistakes from City Mattress, I never had issues. Bedtime was a pleasure for me. Now it's torture. Service was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad either. I suggest going elsewhere where there are many more brands to choose from.

I'm very happy with my experience here. Huge variety of styles - pretty overwhelming, but the…read moresales guy I talked with was able to help me narrow down my choices based on what I was looking for. It is completely okay and encouraged to lay down on the beds and test them out, even if you go back and forth a bunch of times for comparison. The staff makes you feel like it's important that each customer is happy with their choice - not pushy at all, very friendly and helpful. Although I did not end up purchasing a mattress on this trip, when I am ready to do so, this is where I'm coming back to.

Sold me a living set of furniture and $500 warranty knowing they were going out of business…read more Purchased 1 week before they went public about filing bankruptcy. Here's my story. My delivery was scheduled for a Thursday between 11:15 and 2:15. I rescheduled work appointments for 4 pm that day because I wasn't notified of the time window until two days prior--no big deal. On the morning of the delivery, they called me at 6:40 am to say they would be at the house in 15 minutes. I told them I wasn't ready, and asked if we could keep the original scheduled time of between 11:15 - 2:15. The guy told me he didn't know when they could "redeliver," as if I changed the window, even though they were making the change they made it seem like if I didn't comply who knows when it would come. So I agreed because I had dismantled our furniture the night before and had an empty living room and I have guests coming for Christmas so I had no choice. They came at 7 am and it was a complete mess from there; it just got worse and worse. So they come, start bringing everything in with two guys. Instead of helping each other carry the furniture, they do it separately--one guy carries things in while the other unwraps. Because of this, the guy carrying the furniture drops it HARD on my concrete porch - I have it on my ring camera. Then while trying packing up to go tell me they are missing the end piece of my couch. They don't say a word about missing pieces until they're leaving and tell me part of the couch was damaged, and I should just call the store. I look at them like they're crazy because the store can't just give me a custom piece on the spot. I ask why they would start setting up if they didn't have everything--I would've declined the order! I tell him I can't just call the store because it's custom. I ask where it was damaged and how, I'm panicking, I want to know how bad it is and if it can be fixed because I can't wait 6wks for the end piece of the couch. He says "all the wood in the back is smashed and can't be repaired." He tries to get me to sign, but I decline. They leave and within 30 minutes, call me claiming they found a piece that fits and matches at another store--which is a straight-up lie because it was a custom order. So they lied, saying it was damaged when the whole time it was just lost. They bring it back, put the chair and the couch together WRONG/INCORRECTLY, and tell me that's just how it is when I ask why the couch is off centered and the cushion on the chair is slanted downwards off the base, they have no answers for me, I paid 400 dollars for this delivery service. For what for them to come at the crack of dawn, to drop and damage my furniture and then to lie to me about a different piece being damaged? I was so upset sobbing, I have company coming for the he holiday and I'm thinking I'll have a half couch. Then I realized all the felt is hanging because instead of unwrapping the staples from the plastic he took all the staples out of the couch itself. Out of almost 1k in delivery and warranty that doesn't apply because they went out of business.

I finally settled on one for 500$ and was making payments over a couple months ( im a student, 8 months pregnant, ect). i wanted the mattress to be in my house before i went into labor. a few weeks ago i was going to make my last payment and ready to pick up my mattress. I went in (i live 30 min away mind you) for them to tell me that they dont have the mattress in stock. i was upset but was assured the mattress would come in soon. I called back many time in the upcoming weeks to see if the mattress came, they kept telling me its on some random truck, which they could not get in contact with because the trucking company has no phone number... only an email and they werent getting a response from the truck company. now its been a month, and i have no mattress but they want me to pay for the mattress... I was then told i could come in, get a 10 inch mattress of the same brand and they would throw in a "free" box spring. i again drove 30 minutes to this place and they forgot to inform me that the 10 inch mattress was not the same softness as the one i originally ordered. i ask for corporate numver, they tell me there is no corporate number. i ask for an email, they said they cant give me an email bc that email they use is for employees only.... what the hell bro. They tell me i should go online and submit an inquiry about my frustrations . I then ask for a refund. they say they will keep 50$ of my refund because i had the product on layaway. im very confused as to why they would withhold 50$ if they themselves dont even have the product!!! I ask them, when i originally came in, did you guys even have the mattress to begin with??? The manager (Tim) says he doesnt even know. Stay with me... then to process my refund i used three different cards when i came in to make my payments. he told me that each card had to be on hond so he can process each individual transaction to each individual card. one of them i dont have because it expired and overall to process individual refunds is extremely inconvenient. This place needs to be shut down and out of business. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I understand the code may not have worked a 2nd time but she could have made an exception bc the 15% wouldve worked if I had put all items in the same transaction. My husband then asked her if theres a military discount to which she wasnt not thrilled about so I said YES, Its 10% off bc we have used it at that location before. He went show his military ID but of course he accidentally left it in his cammies. (His fault-he shouldve had it with him) however the cashier still shouldve applied the 10% to honor the veteran discount anyways. He has photos of his id & clear proof of his service. Wasnt good enough. So I said actually we wont be purchasing this then- my husband was kind enough to take back both heavy chair boxes to the section so that the cashier didnt have to carry them. We were completely unsatisfied with our interaction. Its not about the $20 we wouldve saved it was about the cashier's unfriendlyness & clear annoyance to be bothered by us late at night toward close. She should've made it right even if it meant calling a manager. Ive worked retail for years- id never question if someone was a vet or deny them their 10% if they forgot their card out of respect. My husband and I bought a new home. We are closing in a few months. After buying furniture for our "old" home from another furniture store...I was a bit gun shy about starting this process again. I had bought a couch and love seat and was thoroughly unhappy with it to say the least!!!! I walked into Ashley about a month ago....having absolutely NO IDEA where to start...and had the good fortune of a Mr. Pat McCarthy coming up to me and asking if I needed any assistance. He spend a ridiculous amount of time with me and was so helpful, informative, NON PUSHY and patient....let me restate that last word....patient. I walked out buying nothing because I wanted to show my choices to my husband. Mr. McCarthy was not in the least bit angry or dissapointed that I was leaving empty handed....he just calmly told me to think about what I picked out and if interested come back with my husband. We did. He AGAIN SPENT A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF TIME with us.....and guided us with some choices that I never would have thought of....and again we walked out with nothing. No drama on his part, no pressure to buy....just a smile, Today we went to Ashley for the THIRD TIME...and picked out furniture for our new home and actually paid for it!!!! We do not have a closing date yet but after dealing with Pat McCarthy I am relieved and confident that I have chosen the furniture from a store that I found a pleasure to do business with. Let me also state that I have walked into almost every furniture store in the area and have not been treated even close to Mr. Mcarthy's professionalism and kindness. His expertise in this process is off the chart and I am so so so excited to see all the furniture he helped us pick out. Let me just give a word to the wise....if you are looking for furniture...don't waste your time....go directly to Ashley Furniture and ask for Pat McCarthy...you won't be dissapointed and you will be thrilled with the quality of the furniture...and the knowledge that you will be dealing with a wonderful product specialist. If he ever leaves Ashley Furniture I will hunt him down....a very satisfied couple in Toawanda who is moving to North Tonawanda and looking forward to the future with beautiful furniture and peace of mind....due solely to Mr. McCarthy. read more

About a month ago, I entered Ashley Homestore and started to walk around different departments and noticed a bedroom set that caught my eye and had many questions. I found a salesperson for assistance, her name was Amy. I asked an enormous amount of questions related to product, prices, dimensions, etc. She answered absolutely without hesitation all my concerns. I inquired about mattress and box springs, again with questions which she detailed responses. In short, I did purchase bedroom set, and bedding. I came back to store looking for dining room set, again, Amy was salesperson. I had photos of my current dining area, explained my concerns and she showed me different sets which ultimately functioned and fit perfectly and purchased. Dining set was delivered and looks awesome. Another day, I visited Ashley's to look at end tables. I had no idea exactly style, color, function I was interested in but, I had pictures of the rooms to help with selections. I definitely asked for Amy to assist with opinions and her amazing knowledge of all products in store and again made purchases. Amy is an amazing salesperson answering every question I proposed without consulting with manager and fulfilled all my concerns about quality, style, colors, etc. She totally listened to me and didn't promote or sell anything I didn't want or knowingly wouldn't be happy with later. Absolutely no pressure! She was totally focused on my satisfaction with all selections and approval and got me to think out of the box. I totally recommend anyone shopping for furniture, to visit Ashley's Homestore!!! Thank You, Jerry read more

What a great job these folks did! I had contacted them via email once I found what I was looking for online. Wes, the store manager, was very helpful online and forwarded a room diagram that I asked for in my email. Once I knew I had some dimension problems, with my "dream" furniture being larger then my living room, he said we can go over other plans. I then stopped in the store to meet with his team. Jason, was very helpful in listening to my ideas and came up with a sectional sofa configuration that worked for my home. He had a trainee with him, and she also came up with a nice accent table. They both listened to what I was asking for, and made me feel like a guest in their "home"! I have dealt with Ashley Furniture in the past, and have always found the quality and price are great, and their team members are always pleasant and willing to listen to you. What a great showroom, I would recommend this is wonderful place to order furniture from. The breaking down caused the area where my torso lies to indent and then my legs don't touch the mattress when laying naturally. Do NOT believe in the warranty scheme, it is not true. Metro Mattress is a hustle. Don't get hustled like we did, go somewhere that has better mattresses and more integrity than Metro Mattress.

Rose, the sales lady who is almost always there - is AMAZING. If you are serious about a mattress, she asks you a few questions and shows you some mattresses... then she leaves you be. Which is cool and not overwhelming, BUT she also gives it to you straight. She is like that lovable aunt that is super cool but also tells you like it is and you respect her for it. We (my bf and I) explained how we had been looking at mattresses for the past month and had a bit of an overwhelming experience at another mattress place. She blatantly told us that we were driving ourselves crazy over analyzing mattresses, which we were, and explained what we should be looking for and what we pay for is what we get. Rose is amazingly knowledgeable on mattresses - brands and what models have what, what brands tend to have deals and literally everything. She loves her job and I cannot speak more highly of her. So, long story short, the mattress that we found there that night had a factory deal going on... we got a great quality mattress for a good price. The delivery experience was awesome too. They call the night before delivery and an automated message tells you the time frame they will be coming. ALSO! You can go online and track your mattress progress, so you can see where the truck is and what stop you are on the schedule. It updates about every twenty minutes so if they are early the time for your stop changes. I think this is great so you are not waiting all day and can still go out and get things done. Save yourself a lot of time and hassle, just come here. You won't be disappointed.
