Horrible store! The customer service is terrible and the management is worse. I received a gift card as a present because I had bought a house. The house is in Florida but my sister thought all gift cards would be accepted everywhere. Nope. This gift card was only good at the Amherst location, so I would have had to pay to ship anything that I bought there! They would not refund it or even convert it to an online gift card so that I could at least order online! Again, the management is rude and unhelpful and the customer service is worthless! purchased a love seat and couch. came defective and all holes were covered to put the legs in myself, because i was not going to pay $150 per piece for someone to screw something in. called for 4 days straight and no one gave me an answer as to if someone could unstable the fabric or make it so my couches are not unsafe to sit on. they gave me absolutely nothing, told me not to sit on the couch for a month, until someone could come out and fix it.... a month. horrible customer service and shitty furniture as well. never recommend. read more

I went into the store to purchase a couch and loveseat on 11/29 and called to set up the delivery date for 12/19. A few days before this they called and said that it wasn't ready yet I production and I would have to reschedule. I was annoyed because I wanted it before Christmas with guests coming over but down, whatever things happen I realize. So I rescheduled for 12/30. I just got another phone call with the same excuse that it is not ready in production and it needs to be rescheduled! My fiancé previously experienced this same issue with them before and I should have listened to him before purchasing anything from them. Ordered my furniture back in June and my delivery date has been changed three times. I even went to the store to change our order to receive it quicker which they guaranteed the items were in stock and when we were expecting the delivery, got a call again that its actually shipping the same week we had changed certain items to receive quicker. Don't get me wrong the electric reclining couch is about the same as any competitors, that sell electric reclining couches. Just beware of the waste of money, you might get talked into spending on their Premium Platinum Insurance Plan. The repair company is called Batavia Services. If something falls apart & it still reclines, the company you paid $169.99 to, won't fix it. Either save your money & forget the insurance or go elsewhere knowing my couch was only 17 months old, not abused & still had something holding 2 springs in place (but where) is considered non essential. We were patrons of Ashley furniture for about 5 years till today. We have probably spent over 10K -15K at Ashley. We went in to go look for something for our empty guest room. We were thinking a futon, sofa sleeper or possibly a whole bedroom set. Our minds were open. We went in around 12:30 on 8/17. The lady sitting at the front asked if we needed help. I told her we were looking for a futon and she said they didn't carry any, ok fine. Then I said how about a sofa sleeper, her reply was "well those are more expensive than futons" puzzled and also dumbfounded i replied "well yes that makes sense i'm aware", we started walking into the store and after chatting a bit we find out delivery of anything even before looking at anything wouldn't be available in 2 weeks. Which really puzzled us as we were long time Ashley customers. So we said ok well than that doesn't work for us. This lady's attitude from the beginning was very snooty. She then as we nicely walk out the store she recommends we go to "Big Lots as they have many nice & fairly priced pieces". First off- do not judge me off the bat lady. My combined household income of my husband and I is over 1OOk annually. No sh*t a sofa sleeper cost more, I wasn't born yesterday. Had this lady had no attitude we would've been interested in looking at bedroom sets & spend $2K on a new bedroom set happily. Instead we spent that $2K today it at Raymour & Flanigan's. This store does not understand what customer service is. I bought a mattress for $2,400 which immediately upon delivery started sinking. I called to complain and the only thing that Ashley would do is allow me to exchange it for a lower priced mattress made by the same manufacturer, but I would have to pay for the more expensive mattress that I originally bought. I wanted to select a different model, not the one they were offering for the exchange. Ashley simply said that I cannot return it because they could not return the mattress to the manufacturer. But I bought the mattress from Ashley, not the manufacturer, so what does the manufacturer have to do with me??!! I will never buy anything from this place again. read more

Delivery guys said they see it happen all the time because they want to make a sale. Then they told me they still wanted to charge me the delivery fee for a couch that couldn't be delivered. Ashley furniture has provided us with the absolute worst service imaginable. We ordered a couch on July 15th and received the first one 6 weeks later- it was badly scratched and we requested new one. the new one arrived a month later and was even more damaged than the first one! Now we are told they are no longer "rushing our order" and we have to wait until mid November. The reason for the wait is that it takes time to construct quality furniture by hand. WHAT A JOKE. We went furniture shopping on what is so far the coldest day of the year, and as we anticipated the store was pretty empty. As we walked through the large store we saw no less than 6 salespeople, only one of whom even said hi despite our 15-20 minutes sitting on furniture and looking around. Buyers Beware! We had a good experience in the store and their furniture looks good however after 1 year (two adults using furniture, a couch, an ottoman and a 1.5 chair) the cushions have all lost shape, lost support and no longer look good. Now after 2 years the furniture is so uncomfortable we are looking for new stuff! For the cost of the furniture this is totally unacceptable. After calling for customer support and talking with them this is "expected" and not covered under warranty. Be careful to not be swept up in the positive reviews, they push people to review right after their purchase which doesn't allow for a true review of their products. Mark Jarnot was a great salesman; easy to work with, gave pertinent information regarding sofa protection, gave my husband and I adequate space to make decisions, and went over payment options. Hello! Over the years my husband and I have purchased THOUSANDS of dollars from Ashley furniture because we absolutely love their furniture. Three years ago we purchased a "build your own" sectional type of ordeal. We also spent $500 on a warranty for this furniture. Well with three kids we now unfortunately have some holes in the couch. I had called to see what could be done since we spent so much money on this warranty and they told us they would not do anything because we had moved. I went in today and when I entered the store there were at least 10 sales people, mostly if not all men, and not one greeted me or asked me if I needed assistance. After walking around for 10 minutes I wandered to the front of the store and asked an older salesman if he could help me find a nightstand and I showed him the color I was looking for. This man looked at me and literally pointed to the right far end of the store and said, "You'll find colors like that over there". I really wanted to give this place a stellar review. Unfortunately, I can't. We financed a dining room set (table, chairs, buffet and hutch), bedroom set (mattress, automatic mattress base, bed frame/headboard, 2 night stands, a dresser and a chest) and huge sectional and ottoman for our den. Furniture is actually really really nice. Mattress is incredibly comfortable and the sectional in the den is perfect for game nights and lounging around with a glass of wine. The dresser in our bedroom, however ... two of the drawers have NEVER sat right. They're crooked and if you pull them more than halfway out, the whole drawer falls and then you have to take it totally out and put it back on the tracks. We called and complained a few days after it was delivered, and we were told it sounds like it's the drawer glides .. we had to wait to get drawer glides delivered then schedule a technician to come out and fix it. Annoying, but ok. So we schedule a tech, he comes out ... tells us it's not the drawer glide, he's not sure what it is. He says he has to order a whole bunch of other parts and then come back to see if he can figure it out. I call the customer care number to complain and the lady tells me they can replace the dresser. Which is great! But it doesn't come until 8/8 ... so by the time it comes, we will have had a dresser for 3 full months that we haven't been able to use. We figured the dresser was just an unfortunate situation, and at the end of the day, they ARE making it right by replacing it, it's just taking longer than we would have liked. So we went back yesterday to buy a new living room set. Our puppy tore up our old love seat, so we figured we'd treat ourselves to a whole new set. Found one we love and bought it. The salesman (Donald Hoxsie or something) informed us that the sofa may take an additional week or so to be delivered, but we could get the chair and loveseat within a two weeks. I called today to set up the delivery and she tells me the whole set is on back order and we're looking at delivery all the way to the end of September or beginning of October. Forget this! We'll be going to Raymour and Flanagan tomorrow to buy a set and then calling and canceling the new order with Ashley. read more

Don't buy from here, go to any other place other than this store! We purchased furniture on 11/18/18 and were told it would be delivered on 12/19/18. Received a call today (12/12/18) and was told there was "an issue with my order" and "the parts didn't come in so they could make the furniture", and was given a maybe delivery date of 1/3/19. When I said this was unacceptable, as I have people coming over for Christmas they gave me $100.00 off my order. Wow $100.00 on an over $2,000.00 order. So basically they are liars and they won't get your delivery to you anytime within the same year that you buy from them. Go to place with 3 day delivery, you'll thank yourself later! I have filed a complaint with Consumer Affairs and the Better Business Bureau. read more

To start, the repair men are scam artists. Our coffee table broke (it's made of card board under the pretty marble looking top) and our dining room chair had the springs hanging out under it. My fiance, then boyfriend got our first apt together and financed couple thousand with ashley to furnish our living room, dining room and bedroom. Everything looks so nice in the store. Anyway, the table is not even made of wood. It's wrought-iron legs screwed into cardboard. We needed it repaired so a guy came to look at it. He said no problem, we can fix the table! I believed he had written down what he was telling me, and being young, I signed without reading it. He didn't give me a copy. Turns out he actually wrote that it was our fault it was damaged and not to replace it. It was going to be 250 for a table we used to set drinks on, that we had for 4 months at the most. The chairs he had "fixed" apparently had not been put together properly by the delivery men, that we tipped $40, and was missing screws. He stapled a bunch of paper to put the spring back in. So ghetto!!!! But it worked so that's fine. My fiance ended up calling corporate and we got a new table for free. The best, actually worst, part was they sent back the same lying service tech!!! He's lucky I was not the one home because he would've gotten an ear full. More recently, my puppy ripped the arm off my sofa. I called and ordered a new arm, gave them my credit card info and everything. It's been 8 months and it has never arrived. Haha needless to say, we are purchasing another couch, not from Ashley. Don't purchase here if you can go else where. I will say, my sales man was super friendly, and for that, they do deserve the one star. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER! Bought recliner couch and loveseat. Rarely use the couch.I was sick and and decided to lay on couch recliner. I weigh less than 90 pounds. I couldn't get it to go upright. My boyfriend couldn't get it upright. I called Ashley's Service . It took three visits for them to get out and fix it. A week after they fixed it, I went to put my feet up and the lever is broken. I called again. They set appointment between 10-1. It's 2:15 and they have not shown up or called and don't answer the phone. THEY HAVE WASTED MY WHOLE SATURDAY! I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing because, WOW, they are awful. I purchased a couch on Veteran's Day, and the associate was very nice but honestly didn't seem to understand some of the questions I was asking him. Delivery date was supposed to be 12/3/18, so almost a month later is when I'd be receiving the couch. I planned an annual holiday party around this date, just so people could, ya know, sit on a couch. 4 days before the delivery I receive a missed call/voicemail stating the couch was still in production. 19 minutes later, I received another missed call/voicemail stating the couch would be here on 12/3, the original date. I call back to make sure this is confirmed, and I was given a recording asking me to confirm the date and time of delivery (12/3/19 12:30-3:30). As someone who works full-time, against my better judgment, I took a half day of work to be there for this delivery.... the couch never came. I call back and after over an hour of waiting for the call-back (recording states you should receive a call back within 30 minutes... another lie), they tell me my couch won't be delivered until 12/23/19..... WHAT! I ask them to deliver sooner, they somehow manage to bump it up to 12/7/19, which would be lovely, except the party is 12/6/19. I appreciate that they TRIED to get it to me on time, but they failed overall. When I asked for a reimbursement, I was told I could only get $50 off or a $100 gift card. By this point I am laughing because, for the love of God, I will NEVER purchase another thing from there. Now, my 91 year old grandmother will have to rest herself on a dining room chair all night. This store has overpriced, defective merchandise, slow delivery, and rotten customer service. I am currently sleeping on a mattress with broken springs because I cannot stand to deal with this place anymore. This is the 3rd defective mattress I have received from them. After getting the 2nd mattress inspected, I received a phone call from Ashley furniture's customer service department stating that this type of mattress was discontinued and I would receive partial store credit. I could not receive a refund for the purchase price of the set because the boxspring was not defective. When I went to the showroom to choose a new mattress, the salesman told me that I could not use a Simmons mattress on a Sealy boxspring without voiding the warranty. He also stated that the foundation was included in the sale price. I agreed to pay the difference between the Simmons package and the refund for the Sealy mattress. The delivery men arrived at my house with only the mattress. When I complained, I was told that there was no record of a boxspring purchase. The salesman admitted that he was wrong about the warranty information and said that he had made a mistake in selling the mattress and boxspring at that price. (He denied this when I complained to his manager.) He said that the price was for the mattress only and because it was an exchange I would only receive the mattress even though my receipt shows that I will receive a boxspring as well. I had to file a claim with the consumer protection agency to get a portion of my money back. I am a totally dissatisfied customer. read more

This company will tell you one thing and do something different. I have never felt more lied to than I did today. The sales person told me that the "Durablend" material would hold up great, we didn't believe it so we were told about the extended warranty and how we would be protected. We bought a $2500 couch and the warranty as well. Of course several years in the couch finish has been wearing and flaking little by little... The manufacturer of the couch told us nothing was covered, The warranty company told us nothing was covered and now Ashley wants to give us the same durablend fabric that is failing us to replace the fabric on our couch when all I asked for was a $300 credit towards a different couch and different material as we do not trust this fabric any longer. Ashley refused. all I can say is DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND THEY DONT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS OR THE WARRANTIES THEY SELL. NOT EVEN THIER MANUFACTURERS STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL. Very unsatisfied, ordered a living room set as a gift for my daughter. Ashley Store charge my credit card the same day $1,300 dollars and I am still waiting for the living room set 2 months later. Ashley deliver the living room set 3 weeks after I bought them the wrong color took it back I am still waiting. It is a nightmare, horrible experience, awful customer service. This is very sad because Ashley due have nice furniture but I will never, ever again go to the store or recommend anybody to go to the store. :( read more

Ashley Furniture. Had a really bad experience. Bought a kitchen table and chairs last year. Was talked into getting insurance. Our table was damaged in a January. So we thought great we paid for insurance. The claim adjuster came out. The table was to be replaced. But wait the table has been discontinued after 1 year. They had a floor model in Rochester. They tried to deliver it on Saturday. It had big dents on the side on the table. They said we could pick out a new table. But wait the chairs matched the table. Went to look at store. Nothing would match the chairs. Ashley will not replace the chairs. So now I have a damaged table. We paid insurance. The moral of the story. Ashly Furniture does not back up the insurance they sell. Never again. My furniture is not level. They told me floors were off which is crap. Tall dresser in bedroom was no good. Delivered another one. One of the delivery people stole my $10, 000 wedding ring. I feel betrayed and I am sick about it. The owner did call and say they are investigating but deny the allegations. I have yet to hear from the trucking company they contract out to. My insurance is only covering $6000 and the should be held responsible. Loser went into my jewelry box and took ring. The salesman was great, but the experience of getting our furniture is horrible. We purchased a livong room set and dining room table and was told within a couple days we would have recieved a call as to when it comes in. I called the customer service number and that is when my happy experience ended. They were rude and told me i had to call and ask those questions. Then proceeded to tell me they will call me 2 days prior to delievery with a time frame. Got a phone call a week later that one of the items was ready and if I still wanted the others. I stated no Deliver everything else. The delivery date was set. So 3 days before delivery i get a call that another item is not coming either and if I wanted it. Well at this point I had given my old furmiture away. I was furious and the customer service person acted like this is just another day at the office for her to deal the company mess ups. I did get compensated with $100 back but eas told that they would rush my items and it should be about two weeks. Well its going on a month and we will see if the two items will shipped. Customer service people are vague while leaving messages and when you call yo ask what the message was about they are rude. I dont suggest anyone to go there unless you have nothing but time to recieve your purchase. They can careless about your fustrations. read more
