I have been a loyal customer since the 1990's when I wore 20-22. They had sights in San Diego until closure, due to internal theft. Then I traveled to Los Angeles several time a year to purchase. They started their online & that help tremendously. I lost over 50+lbs & continued shopping. Due to the quality & accuracy of their products. Never a time I would have to return. During the ea 2000's I experienced "internal fraud". My bill would continue to increase instead of decrease. Twice they had to investigate. Still with A Stewart. Covid hit & my credit took a hit like everybody due to non employment. I advised A Stewart that I signed/pay insurance that was based on the $100 increment balance. Advised they didn't show on account, which was incorrect. They continued to reduce my credit limit. Til it was only a $150 from 1k. Just a few months ago my account closed with no correspondence til this day. I called the recording immediate stated " your account is closed" and hung up. No notification, explanation etc. At this time I have walked away from a company that carried quality clothing that fit throughout my changing sizes. Over 30yr of dedicated service & no even an explanation. Also, there were many situations of items stating shipped & not received. Plus, never request for expedited shipping. Their verbiage states inaccurate shipping venues. If someone from Ashley Stewart reviews this submission maybe a correspondence would be grateful appreciated. read more

The quality of clothing and products have gone downhill for Ashley Stewart the last two years. I recently just received an order, where the stitching on one of the items was stringy and unraveling as I took it out the package. A scuba shirt I purchased that had slits throughout, looked like something from Shein (cheap material and awkward sizing). I had to return the entire purchase because the quality was poor and the sad part is I had to pay for the return. Giving this company maybe 1 star, the store, 4 stars. The store was clean, orderly, sales clerk friendly. But, she did not accept my return (something about 3rd party vendors). I called customer service later and they said she should have accepted my return. Now, begins my refund journey! The rep was friendly and agreed to return my refund with no mailing fee for the inconvenience. Great! I returned the item, got email they received, but no refund for 21 business days. Had to call for them to "remember" to give me a refund. Now, I have to wait another 5-7 days for it to show up on my bank account. I called a couple of times within those 21 days, and they kept saying the warehouse needs to verify my return. Anyway, I had such a difficult time , I won't be buying anything from them in the future. read more

I bought an item on 8/8/24 and attempted to exchange it on 9/19/24 and was told that I was over the 30 days. Per the receipt, you cannot return an item after 30 days, I was attempting to exchange. The employee stated that the receipt meant return and exchange, but that's not what it states. DO NOT SHOP ASHLEY STEWART!!!!!! I did notice on the receipt that there was a no returns policy after 30 days, but it did not say anything about exchange. They are thieves. They will steal your money. Stay away. read more

Instead of staring at the customers & looking at them like you better than them you should be saying hi let us know if you need help or can i help u find something, instead i watched them stand around talking to each other about whatever they was talking about, it also made me a bit uncomfortable to be stared at with no hello or hi..there were only 2 customers in the store, myself and another lady & we were helping each other match our jewelry with our clothes, ultimately i left without purchasing because the lady with braids looked at me like i stunk so i left...i have been a card holder for 15yrs & never have i been so offended...I'm assuming my nursing uniform was not appealing to her. I should've just left when I tried on a pair of jeans and the belt loop broke off but I didn't. I spent over 200.00 in Ashley Stewart. I got a pair of black jeans wore them once the zipper part has unraveled so now there is a big opening in the crotch area. The shirts I purchased were very cute but the thread was coming out the stitching and buttons are just coming off. These clothes are poorly stitched and too expensive to be that cheap.. I will not be returning to this clothing company again. I gave one star because I had to chose at least one to post the review. read more

I made out like a bandit at this store location today. Sales on top of sales. I drove all the way from Corona to shop here and it was worth it. I have my entire winter collection on point and several dresses for holiday parties. The ladies working there were also very helpful and nice about bagging my purchases. Terrible customer service!!! I drove here with a friend to shop at this store,that i have driven past for years since my favorite store is the Inglewood location and closer to my home! I thought we would give this a location a try! Since,i had errands in this area..Okkkk, first we were not greeted when we walked in... No one asked if we needed help! The alarm kept going off with an annoying noise! Then to make matters worse while looking through the racks we hear the employees talking about the customers! They were completely UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! We both said that we will NEVER come back here!!! The Inglewood location is like a different world!!! The greet u before the door closes behind you!!! They smile,ask if you need help and let you know about the specials. I think the Hawthorne location needs a secret shopper to let corporate know what is going on in here!!! Very sad!!! read more

I sent in a return to their own Online Distribution center, the center signed for the return and then they told me they could not locate the return. When I need to update my clothes for the season, I come to this location. Very compact and organized. Usually, I see mellow clientele come into this branch. I was able to get four pairs of pants,over ten tops, a jacket and an evening dress. This was a treat, courtesy of someone else. I am set for spring and summer! read more

I love Ashley's. Can find things that fit and don't look like I'm OLD. THIS one has the worse the WORSE customer service in town.(wait for it and they don't know it)I've come to the counter with so much stuff I really need help. The sales person will be talking to a woman who says I really can't buy anything today just looking and I still wait to just be offered can I take that for you? I've seen customers come in shopping say I've got to go to the rest room and salesperson says not here. Instead of "we don't have public restrooms but next door has some" they have no and I can't say this enough customer care at all. Example: last Sunday they had a sale. I paid for an items and saw how much it cost and OMG do you have this in other colors? Salesperson waiting on me says yes. No help where they were or anything over heard her tell another salesperson she wanted more I don't know where she is. I'm now all over the store attempting to find MORE PLEASE TAKE MY MONEY. They were literally to the right of the counter my salesperson was checking me out at. Weird almost like their mad at you for shopping(salespeople). Go here suckit up realize they don't give a damm about customers and know you will look great in your clothes. I went in this location today to return a blouse that I bought when I walked through the door no one spoke they spoke to other but didn't greet me at all no one asked me for help. The lady that return my blouse I believe she is a manager this is not the first time that I felt she was rude she didnt even say hello or even say welcome to Ashley. She examined my blouse thoroughly until she found a spot she said there was makeup on this blouse that I never worn she end up returning it and put it on a giftcard that was fine with me. The point I'm trying to make is they need to practice more customer service she didn't even say thank you she just walked away after she handed me the receipt like I said this is NOT the first time its every time I will not be attending this location anymore there's always clothes on the floor on the clearance section half of the time they dont have the sizes that you need the best location for me is the one on Crenshaw they were always so polite and they were always clean and neat and had what you wanted.. read more
