Working with Ashley to design and create my engagement ring and our wedding bands has been a dream. The result... three perfect gems of wearable art we'll love & admire for forever. My fiance picked out the stone on his own and set it atop a temporary band so I could participate in the design. Very smart! And yet surprisingly overwhelming w/ all the options out there. I went cross-eyed scouring the interwebs for potential winners and instead ended up with lots of scraps of inspiration. Same result in the SF shops, from big names to boutiques, plenty of almost and nearly there designs, but not the one. A couple consults with other designers also fell flat. Then I found Ashley through Manika Jewelry and felt instantly inspired by how skillfully she constructs vastly different styles yet still retains an AMD signature. From Indian-inspired pieces to classic settings, all are meticulously executed and very special. We set up a meeting and immediately knew we'd found our designer match. Ashley picked up on my sense of style straightaway and came up with a beautiful fused vision of inspirations for my engagement ring. The finished ring is timeless & unique and captures all the organic elements I wanted. Not only can Ashley dream up an artful custom design, she can also replicate like you would not believe! Our wedding bands were images we fell for online but couldn't find to purchase. Each one has very specific old-world detailing that Ashley managed to spot-on recreate in a way that took my breath away. I was truly stunned in the best way possible when I saw the finished products. I didn't necessarily see myself custom designing our rings, but now that we did I cannot imagine doing it any other way. From start to finish the process has been a blast, a true one-of-a-kind & magical experience that I'll always remember. Ordered a piece of jewelry from Ashley only to be disappointed. What we received looked nothing like what we had ordered and diamonds were falling off of the piece. After we had the piece evaluated by two separate jewelers and an appraiser, I spoke to Ashley and she accepted no responsibility. I ended up going elsewhere to have the piece remade. There is something about buying jewelry directly from the maker. Not only does she have incredible pieces that she made, but she will custom make items for you. She can help guide you, but make sure you know specifically what you want. Bring examples if you decide to custom make something. When it comes to customer service, it is hard to meet a nicer person. Lucky for me that I met Ashley after purchasing her lovely thin bangles at a small boutique in Marin.....I needed them sized because my hands are too large, and my search in SF and NY was fruitless for ones that would fit me. I have been lucky to wear Ashely's jewelry for years now, and own quite a few pieces. Milestone gifts have all been pieces from Ashley's collections. My boyfriend gave me two stack-able rings (that's how I knew he was a keeper) and my parents gave me rings as graduation presents.
