My spouse and I have purchased a number of higher-end furniture products, including some exclusive accessories. The sales staff have always been helpful, knowledgeable and supportive of whatever it is that a customer is trying to achieve -- including digging through countless fabric sample books with you, explaining delivery times and providing good communication. The owner seems to be well versed with custom orders and explaining timelines and delivery delays if there are still questions and from my experience, he is collaborative with his staff. We have also bought display accessories that were less than pristine (though already at clearance prices) and staff seemed empowered to give further discounts. The actual selection, prices and value seem comparable to other brick and mortar retailers in Victoria, though most stores tend to have sales staff that come across as a little too eager at times. I have found that Ashley HomeStore salesman and saleswomen have been nicely relaxed and friendly over the years. My only complaint would be the Guardsman warranty they sell on behalf of that particular insurance provider: the exclusions in the policy are very long, the online forms that need to be filled out denote arbitrary categories for a claim that don't appear to comport with possible damages, and the whole process seems like the usual extended warranty scam - with the store retailer possibly getting some type of compensation for selling you the warranty. Don't do it. Just don't. Unless you like throwing your money out on often useless warranties! read more
