We purchased an outdoor set four years ago, and although it has had very little exposure to the elements, and in fact so little that the cushions are in perfect shape, the set has completely disintegrated. see the attached picture. The set has been kept under a tarp in the summer except for when it is in use. This is about 30 days per year. It has been stored under cover for 6 months of every year. Scan designs company line on this is that we have "unreasonable expectations" and they are unwilling to do anything about it. We asked for 1/2 our money back so that they could still cover their original costs. In return they have offered us absolutely nothing. Their attitude has been to blame us for our negligence with the furniture and to take zero responsibility for selling poor furniture. So if you buy anything from these people, you better hope to hell that nothing goes wrong with it. We are in our sixties and we have bought a lot of furniture over the years, and have never had a problem with any one piece of it, and have never had customer service quite this poor before.

There are at least two people you must interact with at the counter and both of them were genuinely friendly.
