    Less than one year old "all weather" outdoor table.

    Purchased $7k of furniture from Ashley less than a year ago to furnish our new house. Ashley sold us a warranty that would supposedly cover the entire purchase. Well, the quality of the outdoor furniture is a joke. The umbrella base to our outdoor furniture is rusting, the "all weather" table is rotting and literally falling apart. This is despite my purchase of a cover for the table to provide protection against the elements. The outdoor swing was never able to be assembled properly by Ashley installers due to a bolt not being able screw into a warped / stripped threaded hole. Ashley only offered us a $50 gift card for this mishap, stating that the item has been discontinued and they cannot fix. However, it is currently available on their website. So, we filed a claim for the outdoor furniture. The warranty company (GPS) said there was nothing they could do since Ashley signed us up for the wrong warranty. Martha from GPS explained this to Melissa @ Ashley who won't return any of our calls. I went the the Brookfield store to talk to someone and show them pictures. The sales staff gave me what now appears to be insincere lip service as he took down my info and said that Gillan would call back within 48 hours. Of course, that time frame passed without any contact from Ashley. So, now I'm not only stuck with garbage Ashley product, but I'm also out $300 on a useless warranty on this junk furniture. Might as well take a chance on Walmart, a yardsale, flea market, or a neighbor's garbage pile for better quality. My next action will be to contact their corporate office to see if anyone their cares about their customers once they have their money. Based on my experience so far, I anticipate more radio silence from Ashley.

This is totally not their responsibility, they know their stuff but they're not here to be your contractor and the pros, they simply work here and are knowledgeable at what they do - the rest, leave it to the professionals. So don't get mad if they don't "explain to you" how to install a tile or a backsplash. This is not a workshop it's a floor store. We've had great experiences coming here, once for a DIY thing and another time to get our bathroom floor redone. Both were fantastic experiences! This last time, they absolutely saved the day. We walked in knowing exactly what we wanted, exactly what we needed - thanks to their online selection and choices but also to their sq ft calculator, this was SO helpful. Bad news, but the tile we needed was not there, just one little half box was available. We asked one of the guys that worked there and he came out with a WHOLE PALLET of it within minutes. Ask and you shall receive! This literally made our day and we were able to get the pieces we needed in time for the pros to get our floor done. It came out incredible. Oh, and grout selection is a thing. We were guided the right direction to make the right choice for the right grout and right shade. OBSESSED. Thank you Floor & Decor for making us happy!

Gloves were thrown out apparently. Called and was told they are not responsible and manager hung up on me. Won't do business with them again!

I decided I needed to see it in person first, so a quick visit to this store was in order. I found my couch on the display floor, and the customer service rep, Alysha, came right over. I told her that I was this online, wanted to see it in person first, and she gave me space to go over it, and try it out. It was perfect. Writing up the sale took no time. I received a 'care kit' and opted for the 5-year goof-proof warranty and white-glove delivery. The estimated date for delivery was a month away, since this was a new product, but that would be true from many stores. Friendly service, no hard upsell, everything was explained. However, the wait for delivery was longer than expected, which was due to backups in the receiving port (which affected several items I had ordered in the past few months--stupid pandemic). White glove delivery was on time, and quick. On the downside, the Bob's Cafe was closed, but Alysha did make the suggestion that when it reopens, we come back and have a cup of coffee. After Bob sold his beloved business to a huge heartless corporation, shopping at the Brookfield store has transformed into something terrifying. Do not enter this house of horrors. If you do, you will do so at your peril. Bob used to stand for something good. Now, this store is a place of pure evil. Abandon all hope all who enter. Welcome to the gates of hell. Other than that, the store is pretty good. They have a fish pond inside. So, it can't be all bad. Right? Wrong! Go to Lazy Boys next store. Go anywhere else. Do not go here. You have been warned! Here is my recent experience with Bob's Discount Furniture. I spent $1500 for a grey Luxe Power Recliner including the cost for the Goof Proof Plan, etc. Of course, the cheaply constructed chair broke! The mechanism bent and warped so badly it hurt my back. The warped mechanism broke the plastic coupling on the power cord. I was afraid of receiving an electric shock when the wiring snapped. I was worried that this electric chair would provide the actual experience of being electrocuted! This chair is wonderful if you like pain. I reluctantly returned to this terrible store. With the voucher I received from GoofProof, I paid $1447 for a new "Hercules" chair, including the costs for a new GoofProof Plan, delivery, taxes, etc. Bob's Discount Furniture Store never delivered the chair. Recently, I returned to the store to inquire about the delivery of my chair. Stacey, the store manager, told me no Hercules chairs existed anywhere in the world including the one I was staring at in the showroom! I politely asked for a full refund. Stacey refused to issue a full refund or deliver a chair. Then, she abruptly stormed off in a huff. Another meek store salesman approached me. He told me to get out of the store or he would call the police! I left that awful store. I am warning all of you. Do not shop here! You will regret it. My back is still killing me. Go to Bob's Stores so that you too can have a delightful Bob's experience like I had. I am so sad that Bob is dead.

Well, I thought, it's Stickley they will be top notch service. NOPE. The movers are just some random subcontractors. I was told that they will not take away the old chairs or even move the old chairs out of the way. As a retiree this was unpleasant but I managed. Then my $4K each chairs arrived and one is crooked! The lower seat cushion is not even close to level. The quality is terrible. I called them to address the issue and my appointment is 2 weeks away. My old chairs are gone and the new one hurts my back. They refused to replace it and are sending a "furniture technician" to look at it. It seems unlikely a field service rep can "fix" a chair that was built wrong so after I wait 2 weeks I fully expect to wait even longer for the replacement. It's sad to see such a premium company turn in to some sort of grift milking their once-solid reputation like this. I won't be going back. I suggest you look elsewhere.

Save yourself some grief and buy a sofa elsewhere -- H&M quality is not what was promised and customer service is the poorest I've received.

One side of the recliner quit working sometime in early July. A repairman came out to the house on 7/25 (not a La-Z-Boy employee, their service is done by a third-party outsource). He supposedly diagnosed the problem. Parts were ordered, taking about 2 weeks to get. Second appointment with tech to install parts on 8/7. Unfortunately, new motherboard (MCM BT) doesn't solve the problem. Technician can't get the product working and doesn't have a clue what's wrong. Tells me the loveseat needs to be replaced and writes report to Corporate to such effect. Tech tells me to call Corporate office and speak to a Supervisor, which I attempt on 8/8. No answer. Leave message. No call-back. I call Corporate again on 8/9 and speak to 'Leona'. Ask to speak with a Supervisor and am told there is only one person working (Alessio). End-up speaking with 'MaKayla' who tells me that Corporate has approved replacement credit, and that I need to now proceed with the local retailer (in Milford, CT). Call salesman who sold us the product on 8/12. Left message. No call-back. Speak to him on 8/13 only to find out he doesn't know anything about the "paperwork authorizing the replacement credit," but will look into it. Now it's August 19 and all I hear are crickets. THIS ENTIRE PROCESS IS RIDICULOUS, FRUSTRATING, & EXHAUSTING. I am so disgusted and disappointed in La-Z-Boy's customer service (with the exception of MaKayla B.), with their third-party field service who seems inept at best, and with the quality of their product. And they are supposed to be the PREMIER BRAND in the category? I don't think so. At this point, I just want my money back -- all $3,339.37. Please bring the check when you pick-up the loveseat! BTW, if you think my review is the exception, I urge you to dig deeper online. Thousands and thousands of La-Z-Boy customers are dissatisfied with either the product or with their customer service. It is so bad that there is actually a 6K+ member group on Facebook for 'Dissatisfied Customers"!
