    Less than one year old "all weather" outdoor table.

    Purchased $7k of furniture from Ashley less than a year ago to furnish our new house. Ashley sold us a warranty that would supposedly cover the entire purchase. Well, the quality of the outdoor furniture is a joke. The umbrella base to our outdoor furniture is rusting, the "all weather" table is rotting and literally falling apart. This is despite my purchase of a cover for the table to provide protection against the elements. The outdoor swing was never able to be assembled properly by Ashley installers due to a bolt not being able screw into a warped / stripped threaded hole. Ashley only offered us a $50 gift card for this mishap, stating that the item has been discontinued and they cannot fix. However, it is currently available on their website. So, we filed a claim for the outdoor furniture. The warranty company (GPS) said there was nothing they could do since Ashley signed us up for the wrong warranty. Martha from GPS explained this to Melissa @ Ashley who won't return any of our calls. I went the the Brookfield store to talk to someone and show them pictures. The sales staff gave me what now appears to be insincere lip service as he took down my info and said that Gillan would call back within 48 hours. Of course, that time frame passed without any contact from Ashley. So, now I'm not only stuck with garbage Ashley product, but I'm also out $300 on a useless warranty on this junk furniture. Might as well take a chance on Walmart, a yardsale, flea market, or a neighbor's garbage pile for better quality. My next action will be to contact their corporate office to see if anyone their cares about their customers once they have their money. Based on my experience so far, I anticipate more radio silence from Ashley.

Bob's Store in Brookfield used to be excellent. Over the years, I spent thousands of dollars there furnishing my house. After Bob sold his beloved business to a huge heartless corporation, shopping at the Brookfield store has transformed into something terrifying. Do not enter this house of horrors. If you do, you will do so at your peril. Bob used to stand for something good. Now, this store is a place of pure evil. Abandon all hope all who enter. Welcome to the gates of hell. Other than that, the store is pretty good. They have a fish pond inside. So, it can't be all bad. Right? Wrong! Go to Lazy Boys next store. Go anywhere else. Do not go here. You have been warned! Here is my recent experience with Bob's Discount Furniture. I spent $1500 for a grey Luxe Power Recliner including the cost for the Goof Proof Plan, etc. Of course, the cheaply constructed chair broke! The mechanism bent and warped so badly it hurt my back. The warped mechanism broke the plastic coupling on the power cord. I was afraid of receiving an electric shock when the wiring snapped. I was worried that this electric chair would provide the actual experience of being electrocuted! This chair is wonderful if you like pain. I reluctantly returned to this terrible store. With the voucher I received from GoofProof, I paid $1447 for a new "Hercules" chair, including the costs for a new GoofProof Plan, delivery, taxes, etc. Bob's Discount Furniture Store never delivered the chair. Recently, I returned to the store to inquire about the delivery of my chair. Stacey, the store manager, told me no Hercules chairs existed anywhere in the world including the one I was staring at in the showroom! I politely asked for a full refund. Stacey refused to issue a full refund or deliver a chair. Then, she abruptly stormed off in a huff. Another meek store salesman approached me. He told me to get out of the store or he would call the police! I left that awful store. I am warning all of you. Do not shop here! You will regret it. My back is still killing me. Go to Bob's Stores so that you too can have a delightful Bob's experience like I had. I am so sad that Bob is dead.

No complaints with quality, delivery (on time as promised and always polite delivery people), or the goof-proof option. I always get the goof proof as insurance for my purchase. I've used the repair company and found them effective and a pleasure to work with. All in all why spend thousands of dollars on furniture you can get for hundreds!

After hours, there was no customer service available online or by phone. The next morning, the local store couldn't even determine the order status. The associate had to "email someone" for answers, and I'm still waiting for a follow-up. I was told there is no one I can call and discuss this with - I must wait for the email response from "someone". As a customer, I should not have to chase down my own delivery, nor should I have to wonder why a scheduled delivery is delayed. I should be informed by the company ahead of time. The complete lack of communication from this company is unacceptable. Find a different company to spend your money. ***UPDATE*** I appreciate the quick response of the managerial staff in locating a mattress and having it delivered to us quickly. We love the mattress and the delivery was flawless. I just would have appreciated the same quick action without the need to post a yelp review to motivate it.

Was shown a few, all of which were over budget but I bought one anyway. Looked up their site online the next day and found multiple other mattresses for much cheaper than anything I was shown. Irritated by the dishonesty I cancelled the order. Was told that my money would be refunded in 3-5 biz days. 8 biz days later I called asking about my refund. Told it actually takes 10-14 days. Whatever, as long as I get my money back. But they didn't give me all my money back. No, they kept 150$ calling it a restocking fee. How exactly do you restock something that never left the shelf? And charge that much for it? Don't bother buying here. What everyone should do is go in, waste as much of the salespersons time as possible while laying on all the mattresses, then find the one you want and go buy it on Amazon.

    Recently purchased a new home in which we needed a new electric range. Did a quick online search…read moreand figured I'd go into the store. Spoke with a gentleman by the name of Charles. Charles helped me narrow down the selections based on my overall wants (double oven) and need (ASAP). We narrowed it down to one which had about a 1-2 week lead time since all the ones in inventory were already spoken for. No big deal, I placed the order and the next day Charles called with good news, there was an extra unit available and that I could get it within 24 hours. I said let's go for it. The delivery team hauled away the old unit and got our new one in without a hitch. They even made sure it was fully leveled and that I was happy with everything before I signed off on anything. PC Richards in Danbury has a wonderful team with friendly customer service. My husband and I are even thinking of getting a new dishwasher and will definitely use PC Richards again.

We had just spent a lot of money to remodel our new home and were excited to move in when this happened. What's worse, I put in a claim for damages with P.C. Richard and they DENIED my claim. They completely deny any liability and left me with almost FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS in damages. I have never encountered such HORRIBLE customer service in my life and will never order from P.C. Richard again -- and urge everyone else to do the same. Even if they're a little cheaper than other retailers, it's not worth the risk of destroying your home!

    I finally decided to "splurge" on a pair of genuine Stickley chairs and it has been a disaster…read more First of all, the delivery charge for 2 living room chairs was nearly $400. Well, I thought, it's Stickley they will be top notch service. NOPE. The movers are just some random subcontractors. I was told that they will not take away the old chairs or even move the old chairs out of the way. As a retiree this was unpleasant but I managed. Then my $4K each chairs arrived and one is crooked! The lower seat cushion is not even close to level. The quality is terrible. I called them to address the issue and my appointment is 2 weeks away. My old chairs are gone and the new one hurts my back. They refused to replace it and are sending a "furniture technician" to look at it. It seems unlikely a field service rep can "fix" a chair that was built wrong so after I wait 2 weeks I fully expect to wait even longer for the replacement. It's sad to see such a premium company turn in to some sort of grift milking their once-solid reputation like this. I won't be going back. I suggest you look elsewhere.

I was working with a local hospital client who wanted to purchase many items for their patient rooms. I worked with someone I had worked alongside of for many years. Once the order was prepared, quoted and sent for review and approval by my client the store manager decided to finally do her job and verify the competitors price. Although they sent us orders they changed the pricing once they found out their competitors price was higher. I should have taken the order to Safaveih then but my allegiance to my former coworker made me stay. Big mistake. We were told we had to rush a check to them by end of the next day because they confirmed stock was available for the items we were ordering so delivery would be quick. We are not at 10+ weeks and every time I call for status I am told the items are in and being assembled. Now two weeks have gone by and today I was told they have not even started assembly. Yet they had the nerve to request the COD balance from my client. What nerve to ask for payment in advance of even scheduling delivery. Now I know why I quit working for this family owned company. The only people they care about is themselves. Note to self (and you resting this review) stay away from this store.
