Purchased a mattress and a bedroom set with White Glove delivery from Freehold Ashley store. Delivery guys came in on the scheduled day. Carried the items to my bedroom. They could not assemble the mattress and the bed because the parts did not match. Had several calls with Ashley and delivery service. Scheduled a 2nd delivery appointment. Delivery guys came in and determined that they still could not fully assemble the bed and mattress because again they don't have the right parts. "White Glove delivery"? I could not be more disappointed and dissatisfied with Ashley Furniture We bought a living room set two beds two mattresses LR tables when we moved less than a year ago. returned the recliner that was Too Huge for LR. they would not give us our money back so now I have a store credit that's only to be used in THAT store. Can't even pick something out at a different store. Can't even buy something online! Over the years I bought over a dozen different furniture pieces at Ashley. Never had any issue with the quality of any item purchased. Never had to use extended warranty, and did not had any issues turning than unused warranty into store credit. What I do have issues with is their demand of sales stuff standing up all day, they only way they are allowed to sit down is in case they are writing something. This is horrible. Second issue is pricing model. Every item in the store has stickers that are just unreasonable; so my advice is not to look at them at all. And, unfortunately, the more you buy - the easier it will be to get a reasonable prices. If your sales guy is not willing to start negotiation at half price of those stickers - just walk away. And then you have to make several steps to meet hundreds of dollars less than half price. My additional advice: come in knowing what you want with min and max size already written down. This way selection process would take less than an hour and it would be much easier to walk away from unfinished deal. Another secret is to come on a slow day, if you see bunch of other visitors - dont bother, go to outlet stores, plenty of those in Freehold. But if all you see is sales staff, and maybe another couple in the whole store - bingo, you will get that real price. Overall, this is my store; as long as I can get the right pricing model. read more

No one has the decency to call you Not sure why because there's never a car in the parking lot other than their "sales." So not sure what they are doing in their that they cant even call. Then they tell me as per protocol, their "Corporate office" has 24-48 hours to contact me. It's been 72 hours, no call yet. We had gone to Ashley after purchasing our sofa to remeasure the sofa we bought. While there the manager was condescending and overly dismissive of our concerns our sofa would not fit through our doors. She said you could remove parts of the sofa to fit it through the door. Later when I had called after it could not be delivered, the sales associate helping me said she "could not believe that I would be told that" and "clearly there aren't removable pieces" to our couch. I was told the general manager would call me back to remedy this situation and I was never called back. We had to hire an outside vendor for $300 to help us with the couch to avoid the hefty restocking fee. Even aside from the incredibly poor communication from the team the sofa came off the truck with a sizable hole and unraveling threads on every single cushion. This comes after over a month of waiting for the couch and over four points of communication prior to the couch ever coming. Highly disappointed and will never be going back to Ashley. read more

A couple of months back, my husband and I bought a sectional couch for our TV room and a couch and two chairs for our sunroom. The salesperson assured us the sectional couch was the most firm they had in the store and a best-seller. First, one of the sunroom chairs was not put together properly so they had to return to fix that. While that service was prompt, we discovered they forgot to put a screw in and the entire arm of the chair wobbles. On the other chair, the arm comes out of its fitting with a very light pull. Then, the couch cushions started sagging within 3 months and the fabric is permanently wrinkled up. Customer service told me the issues were not covered under the warranty (even though the warranty specifically states cushions ARE covered) and they sent me one new cushion as a "courtesy". At first they didn't want to do this, as they said they had already extended a "courtesy" by having someone come back to put the chair together the proper way. So - for Freehold store I'm giving a low score for having been misled by the salesperson. For corporate, the low score is for producing a poor quality product they don't really stand behind. I need more furniture for my new house and will not return to Ashley. read more

Terrible Customer service! They never has a direct line to help and must email the service department to call you back. I purchased a table and chairs and within 7 months of purchase, the top middle lifted for no reason, they said it was my fault and did not cover or offer any repair. It took 3 weeks for a technician to come out to look at it. The technician said he could tell I didn't do anything but he wasn't able to repair it as it didn't have screws in that part. Customer service finally called me backend told me it was my fault and I spilled something on it and it wasn't a manufactured defeat, which is NOT true at all. We barely even ate on it and used place mats when we did. I will never purchase anything from there again! read more

I recently purchased a mattress from Ashley Furniture, and I am extremely dissatisfied with both the product and their customer service. After only a short time of use, the mattress started leaning to one side, which clearly indicates poor quality. When I contacted Ashley Furniture to resolve the issue, they completely failed to honor their warranty. Despite multiple attempts to get assistance, I was met with long delays and unhelpful responses. When I finally spoke to a representative, they told me that my warranty claim wouldn't be honored, even though the mattress was defective. I was promised follow-up calls and updates, but they never came. Every time I tried to escalate the situation, I was either put on hold for long periods or given vague, dismissive answers. It's been weeks now, and my issue remains unresolved. Ashley Furniture's lack of support and their failure to stand behind their warranty has completely destroyed my trust in their company. I would strongly advise anyone considering purchasing from them to look elsewhere if you expect reliable customer service and products that are actually covered by a warranty.. We purchased two couches and an oversized chair in January 2023. They delivered it in March. It lasted about a month. The one couch where we sit most frequently is already sunken because it was so poorly made. I also spent more money on the protection plan, but unfortunately, the protection plan does not cover this. It wasn't expensive furniture. I didn't expect it to last forever, but I did expect it to last for more than a few weeks! I do not recommend any Ashley Furniture! read more

The folks at the Ashley HomeStore in Freehold, NJ were all very pleasant and helpful. I got my delivery shortly thereafter as the couch that I picked out was in stock. Unfortunately, this is where the praise ends. Due to non-visual to inspection manufacturers defect right from delivery, I had to deal with the lack of customer service department and the horrific system they have in place to handle such a situation. (You call a call center, and they email the warehouse. I missed a call and then tried calling back and got the call center again. They say that the warehouse customer service does not have a phone. Interesting, they were able to call me!). Even though I had purchased the extended warranty, despite the fact that this would fall under the normal warranty, I was told by customer service that they would send the part to me as a courtesy! After taking pictures and explaining what the problem was, they sent me the wrong part, which I did not realize until the Furniture Doctor showed up and told me so. I was told by customer service, that they would not take back the wrong part. Ridiculous! I live in an apartment complex, and I cannot just dispose of this part. I then had to wait for the correct part to be ordered and delivered before I could get the Furniture Doctor scheduled and back out. I finally just got my couch repaired, which took 6 months to do. Totally unacceptable!! While I do like my couch, I would never purchase anything from this company again, unless they totally revamp the customer service process. Seeing other posts, I'm obviously not alone and can't believe that this company is still in business. Believe me, I have told family and friends about this experience, and they will never buy from Ashley Furniture either. What a shame! read more

Horrible. Do not buy from ANY Ashley Furniture. Still waiting on something I ordered back in November. It's a never ending cycle. In the bundle of things we bought two items were damaged and again still waiting on it to be fixed. Last year I bought a dresser and the same exact issue happened, but I wanted to give them another chance, such a regret. The man who helped me buy the items was very nice but told us our items would be in a lot sooner than they actually were. It's a huge scam at the end of the day. You buy warranty and are told if you don't use it you'll receive it back, but I promise you, you will be using the warranty from the second your item is delivered. Nasty customer service. Holly from this place is the only nice and caring person, the rest of them aren't helpful and again are nasty. I'm so unhappy with my experience here and I don't wish this on anyone. To the manager. The most recent incident I've been trying to fix with you guys since NOVEMBER!!! Please don't pretend to care because it's been too long to convince me otherwise. I placed an order for a couch, I was given a delivery date of July 15 and was called the day before and told it was cancelled and the next available date would be Aug 5. I then called the store where the manager was not even aware that the order was cancelled. This has been a headache since day 1 even getting a simple COI for my building was like pulling teeth. I had an awful experience with Ashley Furniture Freehold and would give this establishment 0 stars if I could. I ordered my couch on December 26th for a January 15th delivery, and didn't receive my couch for another 6 weeks after that date. The delivery of my couch was pushed out 4 times and I had to live in a couchless apartment. I had countless calls with the customer service department, who has no clue what is actually going on in the store and had very few answers. I had to physically go to the store 4 times to make a stink about getting compensated for this delay and finally land on a day for my couch to get delivered. Great service in store but after waiting 10+ weeks for delivery (was told it would be no more than 8 weeks) my furniture was delivered at 11:20 PM on a Thursday night!! Was originally happy with my purchase until a couple of months after I got it. There is interior damage to the frame of my reclining couch along with a very rough board in the frame that has caused a puncture to the fabric on the back, along with stitching coming undone on cushion. Been going back and fourth with customer service for about 2 months now. End result...I have to pay a non refundable $150 to a tech to come out and evaluate the damage and repair!! What a scam!!
