Ashley has been doing my hair now for a few years. I have very fine hair that can be difficult to style or show volume. She has been the only person who knows exactly how to work with my hair. Most of the time I have no idea what I want when I come in and she knows exactly how to walk through the different options and comes up with the best ideas not only for that appointment but also for the next several visits. She's cut, colored, and styled my hair. I've also been to a curling workshop taught by her and learned A LOT. She also styled my friend's hair for her wedding and it was gorgeous and lasted the entire night. I can't say enough great things about Ashley and her salon. Everyone who works there is wonderful and helpful. It's always a great experience. read more

OH MY HEAVENS! Finding Ashley has been the best thing since moving here! For one, she knows what she's doing. Two, she's so easy to talk to, about not only what direction you want for your hair, but just everyday life. Ive seen her twice and we've together come up with the plan for my hair. Both times I've been 100% satisfied with the cut and color. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to revitalize their hair!!!! read more

Ashley @ Ashley Barragan Beauty, Owner of Vixen Beauty Lounge, is amazingly talented. I have come to Ashley for difficult color corrections, overall color and cuts, and I always leave super happy and with the healthiest hair. I love that she works with Davines products (amongst others) and I can grab them to go too! Sometimes a trip to the salon can be stressful, but never here. Ashley takes time to really listen and work with you to get your perfect look. Plus the coffee is delish . read more

It's been a couple of years since my last review so I figured it was time for an update! I'm still seeing Ashley and my hair always looks gorgeous thanks to her. She is knowledgeable and professional and the products she uses are top notch! read more

I found Ashley on Yelp when I was desperately looking to get hair done that same day. Unfortunately, she didnt have any open appt in Ramona but did email me that they had an opening in Salona Beach but I just didnt have the time. I told her I was using box to get me through and made an appt. I LOVED the detail in the website, the survey to get to know me and knew she was the one when she refused to damage my hair by doing what I was looking for....basically going from one extreme to the other (never good) My first visit she had a cappuccino and treat, a warm welcome and what I really appreciated was the consultation which included my future plans for hair.....a plan was put in place. it's now been about 6mo. and my hair is healthy and exactly what I wanted....she is absolutely AMAZING, and knows her stuff! read more

Ashley continues to amaze me. Her commitment to pure perfection is heart warming. She is so passionate about what she does while balancing her artistic eye with the request of the client. I have never felt so heard and the communication is fantastic. Most stylists listen, shake their head and do what they want. She understands that the client has a picture in their mind and she will tell you if she thinks that you might want to consider other options becauseshe can see it in her mind. I respect her honesty and integrity and most of all who she is as a human being. She is flawless and humble. If you are like me and have tried them all...look no further.... read more

Ashley has been doing my hair for almost 15yrs. She is so very talented and always has new and exciting ideas for my look. She keeps current with classes and annual travel to Italy to visit Davines (her color line) headquarters, to remain cutting edge. I trust her knowledge and talent completely, and I'm always thrilled with my hair!! I look forward to my appointments and absolutely love Vixen Beauty Lounge, it's such an amazing place! All her staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and fun! She has even the littlest details covered, from the beautiful decor, warm neck rolls, delicious espresso, champagne, chocolates and more. Its truly a lovely experience. I highly recommend Vixen, you'll love it!!! read more

Ashley has been my hair designer for years! I will tell you why I love her: She listens to what I want and gives it to me. For haircuts-she is not scissor happy, if I ask to take a little off, she does just that. She gives you what you want not what she thinks (which most hair designers do) I won't let anyone else cut my hair except for Ashley. Ashley is such the all inclusive package for hair, she gives the best color, base or lo/hilites. Now she is using a product that is as amazing as she is, it is called Davines. I will say this, I already use nice products but I could tell these were far more superior than the ones I use - I could tell right after I shampooed my hair. Even the hair spray is amazing and I don't usually use that. I bought it all today - the shampoo, conditioner and the styling products and you can tell by looking at my hair that they are so good! Thank you for making me look and feel fabulous! XO read more

Ashley Barragan Beauty - Top notch hair by Ashley!!! Also the product line is amazing it's called Davines -the color, shamp/cond & styling product= 5star - Hair Salons Near Me - Solana beach, California

Got my hair done at the #vixenbeautylounge ramona location. Love it there. Not only did my hair turn out amazing, thanks to Ashley Barragan, I feel like a rock star when I'm at this salon. The intimate setting and the one on one experience is super relaxing. You arrive for your appointment and get offered a beverage. Not only is ashley an amazing hairstylist she's a great barista. I've been getting my hair done with her for well over 10 years. We've done red, blond, brunette, and a mixture of all over the years. I always get compliments on my cut and color. Super excited about her new location and products. read more

This is one of the first businesses I stepped into when I moved to Solana Beach 10 months ago and I have been here every 3-4 weeks ever since. I got a great vibe from the get-go. Ashley is everything I want in a hairdresser....she will listen when I know what I want but will also mind read when I'm not quite sure ;) Her salon is so cute and she always has a nice selection of spa items...perfect for a splurge or a last minute gift. Oh and I love that you can even book waxing services (with the amazing Jen) while your color is setting. I like to make appointments in the evening when its not as busy and kick back with a glass of vino and chat a couple of hours away. Love Ashley's skills and her fun personality. I always leave feeling fabulous and in a better mood than when I walked in! read more

Ashley has been cutting my hair for about three years and I couldn't be happier. She is a master stylist and trainer at her old salon, and I'm glad to see her moving out on her own. I have very difficult to cut hair and Ashley makes it look great. I'm an executive and need to look my best. Despite this, I don't feel that I have a good sense of fashion, but since I started getting my hair cut by Ashley I've received a number of complements from people I would respect on the topic. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I have been seeing Ashley for over two years and was referred by a friend. Your friends are your best resource for the best things ever! Ashley helped coach me through short hair to longer hair. Well, not really longer but long for me. And is now has been willing and excited to cut me back to a super cute bin. In addition, she has my color down pat and I get more comments on both than I ever had in the past! Not only is she is an amazing stylist but a wonderful person! You will do no better! read more

Ashley is just wonderful! So professional and so down to earth. For having lots of experience getting my hair done at multiple salons and having friends in the industry, I knew instantly when I met her that I felt comfortable and in good hands, takes a lot for me to say that! As any girl, my hair is important to me and reflects my personality, and Ashley knows that and respects that. I truly recommend coming in and visiting Ashley here! She understands color and has a good sense of what works for you. Truly one talented woman! read more

Since the first time I met Ashley and we talked about my hair she knew exactly what I wanted. It's hard to find someone you just click with and understand that also does what you want to your hair. She was also able to fix my color from my last stylist, this is my 3rd time coming to Ashley and can not sing enough of her praises. She is worth driving the 2 hours it takes me to make my appointments. read more

I feel the need to write another review about Ashley since my last review was just my beginning experiences with her. Ashley has been doing my hair for almost a year now and she never ceases to impress and amaze me when she turns me around to the mirror to see the final product. I never leave Ashley feeling anything less than beautiful. On top of her talent, her professionalism and personality make the time spent getting you hair done an enjoyable experience. She uses high quality products when doing your hair, and is always able to capture the exact look I am going for. I recently had the chance to see her cut a male's hair, and I think the story of what happened says it all. My fiancé always shaves his head because he does not like the way he looks with hair; I recently convinced him to grow out his hair, and we made a deal that when it got long enough I would take him in to get it cut, and if he did still did not like how he looked with hair then he could shave it and I will never ask him to grow it out again. We went into Ashley with him extremely convinced that he would still not like it; I told Ashley what I was thinking and with her 13 years of experience she was able to make it better than I imagined! Needless to say my fiancé still has hair and he will now be keeping it for our wedding! I could not be happier with having Ashley as our stylist, and highly recommend her to anyone looking for one. read more

I have been going to Ashley for haircuts/highlights for the past 8 years, having followed to her several salons. Yes, she's that good! I have to say, never once have I not been happy with my hair. She uses top notch products and always listens to what I want, but suggests changing it up if my hair needs it. Ashley's technique with highlights is so fabulous and natural, that my hair looks great even after 2 months! The fact that Ashley is such a sweetheart and fun to talk to is just icing on the cake! I would highly recommend you book your next appointment with Ashley! read more

I have been seeing Ashley for almost 8 years. I have followed her near and far and would continue to do so...although now I don't have to. I am so glad she is now firmly planted in Solana Beach. I have a ton of long hair that she has cut, colored and tamed over the years - not an easy feat. I am not exaggerating when I say that I'm constantly getting complements on my hair, more specifically, the color. She really is an artist who takes great pride in her work. I honestly have not had a cut or color done by Ashley that I have EVER been unhappy with. That's pretty incredible for an 8 year relationship. Above all, Ashley is a consummate professional who provides over-the-top service. Aside from her styling abilities she is also a kind listening ear whose strength and vitality makes me want to be make the most of my life. I have referred friends who are now Ashley-addicts as well. Def worth a try. read more

Ashley cut my hair for 3 years while I lived in San Diego. She always did a great job with cut & color. When I got married in Maryland, she actually flew cross country to do hair and makeup for all of my bridesmaids and myself. Very talented at both! read more

One of my best friends has been going to Ashley for years and has always spoken so highly of her, plus her hair is gorgeous, and so I finally made the switch this last spring after 16 years with my last hair dresser. It was worth switching! She is great! Listens to what you want, for example, if you say only take a little off she actually only takes a little! She only uses high quality products too and is very helpful in making you decide what to do with your cut/color. I am extremely happy with her! Recently found out that one of my neighbors has been going to her for years too and loves her.... read more
