I am a seasonal Firefighter /EMT and have stayed at the Commons since 2023 , never a problem and a great cheap place to stay. They have a new person named Tracey working there who has ran my debit card , that I know of, at least 2 times unauthorized last week. The first time she said she forgot to add service charges and the second time 15 minutes after my checkout time .I have been working nights this time at the local hospital, and it was very difficult to sleep there during the day with all the noise staff makes during the day. I payed on my card and extended for another day even though I was getting no sleep there and my checkout was at 1 pm , and Tracy called me at 1:15 and was upset and for the 2nd time had said she ran my card unauthorized. It did not go through so I needed to leave promptly , that I did. Tracy seemed to want to argue with me regarding their " house rules " and the cleaning. She is very aggressive and bullish and lacks respect for people. I got a text message , acting on behalf of management she claimed, that I was banned, and I still owed for a night stay ? I thought well maybe extra for a late checkout but a whole night for like 15 more minutes of sleep.I am assuming that she will continue and keep running my card unauthorized. This is why she said I was banned , and staff safety. BE CAREFUL AROUND THESE people.

Don't even think about staying in Medford at a chain hotel or anywhere else in Ashland because the Bayberry Inn is the nicest bed and breakfast! Now if you're not feeling social, you can pay a tiny bit extra to have your breakfast served to you on a tray in your room. As a busy Mom, who seldom travels alone, when I come to Ashland I'm alone and getting my breakfast delivered to my room is AMAZING and the epitome of the ideal relaxing vacation having someone cook a gourmet meal for me and I get to eat it alone in my room! The breakfast is truly top notch delicious! I consider myself a 'foodie' who loves to eat and if the Bayberry Inn was a restaurant I would go there just for their breakfast - it's that good! Also, like I mentioned since I'm a female traveling alone I feel sooo safe staying at the Bayberry Inn as opposed to an impersonal hotel. The Bayberry Inn is located in the North part of Ashland and it is easily walkable to everything in town or there's plenty of free parking in the town you can drive too. The rooms are clean with all the comforts of home and they have personal AC and heater too to customize the room temperature to your comfort level which I appreciated! The owners, Jacqui and Billy, are super friendly and nice! They truly care about all their guests and want you have a fantastic stay. I will continue to stay at the Bayberry Inn every time I come to Ashland - which hopefully will be soon!

This place was a total gem and I'm SO glad I found it! (Thank you Yelp!)…read more We had originally planned to stay in the Redwoods over the weekend, but nowhere was open due to covid-19. Then I remembered the beautiful Scenic Highway (CA-96) "Bigfoot Scenic Byway" - boasting the most Bigfoot sightings - connecting the coast to the I-5 in far-northern California. I've always wanted to drive it, so I figured I'd check to see if there were any camping options along the route, and I came across Bigfoot RV Park & Cabins in this quaint little town called Happy Camp. Since they are a private property, they were still able to be open during this covid craziness, and they did a great job with making sure things were clean and social distancing was practiced. We happened to be the only ones "tent camping" as others had RV's or cabins booked. The area for tent camping is a little courtyard that has chairs, a bonfire area, and it's right next to a very clean and well-kept bathroom, shower, and laundry room. The camping courtyard is a bit small and probably wouldn't fit too many tents if people want their space, but again I think most people are there for RV's and cabins. My favorite things about this place were a) the location - "Happy Camp" is such a cute little town along the Klamath River, so you can walk a short distance and be right in the middle of tall trees and rolling rivers... b) the owners who were very down-to-earth and made it feel like everyone there is family, and c) the overall vibe. It doesn't feel like you're in California or Oregon for that matter; it's its own little piece of the Klamath River. If you find yourself in Northern California or Southern Oregon looking for a gorgeous little getaway, I highly recommend it here!

The sheets and towels were clean. Heater worked fine. Water is nice and hot. The "smart TV" was broken and we had to have the manager come to our room and give us a different remote; one that works with google TV. He said this is an ongoing problem that is caused by guests attaching an HDMI cable to the TV *good to know*. With little…read morelodging in the area around Crater Lake we were happy to have found this place and booked it months in advance. The evening that we were planning on staying here my wife and I wanted to catch sunset at crater lake before heading over. So I made an attempt to call the inn and ask if a 9:30 pm check in was ok. Whenever a day had gone by and I hadn't heard anything back I was starting to get a little worried. So attempt #2 was made by email and within 15 minutes I had a reply back that it was ok and where our key would be located. Driving up to this inn in the dark was definitely an experience. The owner had told me in his email that the last mile of our drive would be on dirt roads. However with the dark my wife and I still were asking "where the heck are we going?" Once on the property and inside the inn we found it to be rather pleasant. The floors are all white carpet and are complemented by the pine wood that is everywhere. There are three separate rooms here and ours was upstairs. The main area is cooled by air conditioning but the rooms only have personal fans. Whenever the doors to the bedrooms are shut then they can get rather warm. This led to me sweating while attempting to go to bed. Stupidly I had missed that I could open the windows on my first look at them but once I had the windows open the nice cool mountain air had the room at a good temperature. At that point the comfortable bed and cool air had me asleep in a flash. In the morning my wife and I were able to enjoy the inn even more. On the outside there was a nice patio with a garden waterfall nearby and my wife and I ate our continental breakfast out there. It also seems like the owner is still working on the property itself. While it wasn't messy by any means there was lots of equipment around and it looked like it would be even nicer in the future. While I was fixing myself breakfast I was able to talk to the owner who seemed to be a nice man. We made small talk over us getting in late the night before and he nicely gave us some suggestions for our next days travels after hearing where we were headed. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. Even though I started our hating this place due to the remote location and my own stupidity with the windows. I eventually came around and really ended up enjoying this place and the peacefulness that came with it.

When we came up on the address, I had to circle around to see if I missed something. Nope. This is the place. So, it's not a hotel. It's not even a motel. But, it's not a hostel. Then why a four star? I liked the remoteness. I liked the rustic feel. We were right in the middle of a forest. The place is basically a guest house with either 3 or 4 small rooms (the one on the bottom is a bit creepy). The room isn't big and the amenities weren't all that great. My wife certainly wasn't happy that I found this place. But, this place had charisma. This is a near adventure and a diamond in the rough.
