My system is less than 10 years old and is still under warranty. Something smelled fishy. Called in a 2nd opinion and got the repair done for $600. In this case, it appears that Acute tried to take advantage and tried to sell us something that we didn't need. If we hadn't gotten a 2nd opinion, we would have spent $16,000 on something that could be fixed for $600. My trust in Acute is gone.

Wow where to begin? Rich came out and helped me more than I…read morecould imagine. It's been somewhat intimidating as a first time home buyer to find good services and ones that will not take advantage of you. Rich went above and beyond cleaning out and inspecting the chimney to show me how I can keep it up, what wood to and not to burn, and how to prime the flue. He went above and beyond what was expected from him in terms of service and character. Anyone who is looking for any type of work done to their chimney and navigating who to trust in their home, I couldn't recommend Charleston Chimney Sweeps more. I couldn't imagine using another service after the incredible experience that I had from them. Hope yelpers/reviewers find this useful, and thanks again Charleston Chimney Sweeps!

As I pondered what to do, I always imagined cutting a hole in the roof to hang a window unit up there. it seemed an impossible task. I asked Bill Farah of Terrace Heating and Air what to do and he came out to the house and helped me cool off the hot FROG and solved another big problem. They installed a mini-split system in the FROG, reclaiming about 820 square feet of livable space. We have had guests sleep up there since the installation and they have praised how cool the room is. I was also complaining about high humidity in the house. Bill solved that problem by installing a whole-home dehumidifier. We are very pleased with the dehumidifier. It is working even now in this "shoulder" season when our AC is not running all the time. We are very pleased with Terrace Heating and Air. They are competent and caring HVAC pros. I heartily recommend them.

I checked the 24volt control wiring and the 2nd stage never hooked up. I called Terrace and a tech was sent out make it right. He arrived, took a look, said he had no idea how to hook up a two stage. Given I worked in maintenance and knew control circuits "we" got it hooked up correctly at the compressor. Went into attic to check wiring on air handler and tech states he is glad I am here as he is color blind. I could not believe he said that given the wiring had eight different colors wire insulation. Got it straightened out and works great. That said, I received a bill from Terrace to rewire it correctly which I obviously let them know I would not pay. Several other instances I was billed double because "part has to be ordered then installed", misdiagnosing a bad compressor when it was a bad reversing valve. End of story Terract sent me an email they would cancel the last bill and would no longer service this system. Thanks Terrace, saved me the trouble of booting you. I hope your techs learned something from me.
