As a superstore Asda was always where I done my shopping.
Recently started doing my shopping online with an easy to use app, the last order I placed however was cancelled at the last moment with no reason and the funds were romoved from my account which meant I couldn't but groceries anywhere else as I'm on a budget this was almost the remainder of fund in my account, so thinking these things happen I called the Asda store (Hamilton) and when the member of staff hung up on me I called back and asked to speak to a manager, I was put on hold for some time, then the line was connected and it was just noises which I listened to for a few moments before hanging up and calling back,, again, so I asked again if I could speak to the manager and was connected and seamed to be getting told off as if I had been out of order with the member of staff who took my initial call, When I spoke to the manager I was continually interrupted when trying to find out if my order was going to be rescedualled or refunded, I was continually interrupted and was being told 'its not my problem, and asked what I think she should do about it, I continued to explain I have a young family with not very much at home, hence placing a shopping order and picking a delivery slot, to which the manager replied I'm going to hang up on you now I'm not being spoken to like that, I went from shocked to angry I couldn't believe how I was just treated.
I hope this comes to the attention of the customer service training people, I was left feeling like I was asking a huge and nearly impossible favour of the Asda team to find out what's going to happen with the order I places, delivered at another time? Refunded? Incase anyone is wondering the order was over £50 and to a young family that is a lot of money, but to a company like Asda I guess that would be loose change from down the back of the sofa, but the point remains that's my hard earned money, and I've had to borrow to feed my family because of this issue which I have found very embarrassing.
Saft to say I will not be doing online shopping again, and I will not spent anything in Asda again. read more
