The company then quoted me $2200 as the cost to replace it and reiterated that this did not include the $99 that they already charged me. So yes, had I gone with that company, it would have cost me $2300. Armed with this information, I posted pictures and exactly what the "diagnosis" said and asked for emailed quotes...to be clear I said EMAIL only. I then got no less than 10 phone calls saying "please give us a call so we can talk about your situation. Some called more than once. Lakeland Heating and Cooling (Jason) was nothing like that... $1270 flat rate to replace the water heater. Yes, thats how he replied in his email.. as I requested. He came in.. with the water heater... replaced it... and went on his way. Other companies, that followed directions, also came in higher than $2000. I am EXTREMELY satisfied with Jason and Lakeland! Petr was responsive to my inquiry via Yelp and Jason, the plumber who came out was such a nice guy and he did a great job with swapping out and re-sealing the pit lid. The first sump pump that was installed unfortunately had an issue with the lighted plug but they came back out to replace it so it's all good now. I highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for a plumber - he's really one of the nicest plumbers I've met and he'd clearly and patiently answer any questions you may have. Their quote was also competitive. I'd definitely be calling them in the future for my plumbing needs! P.S. if you're unable to reach them at their phone/office number, try messaging them via Yelp. I didn't really have much luck when calling their number but they're always responsive via Yelp/text and would call you back as well.

They're worth every cent. The only regret I have is that I can't give them 100 stars.

They replied back quickly, was at my house the next day. I have done business with A&Y plumbing for some time now. I have had several issues from leaking pipes, water heater replacement, to leaking toilets, most recently kitchen faucet leaking badly. Each and every time I contact Juan, they are really quick to respond. They do very high quality work and are very reasonable with their prices. I really love their work and have decided they are my go to plumbers.

I obtained an estimate from Gary after sending some photos of my job, and the final invoice was right in line with that initial estimate. I was able to get the work scheduled in a couple days, and the communication was great. I got text message alerts of arrival time window, and who would be coming. Once the Andrew and Gustavo arrived at my house on the day of the job, they were friendly and went right to work. They wore shoe covers when coming into my house, and they were very knowledgeable and communicated what they needed (like turning on the faucets in my bathrooms when the main water line was shut off). I had bought the utility sink that I wanted to replace my old one with so Andrew and Gustavo figured out the new piping that needed to be put in, and went the extra mile to make sure that the install of the sink was perfect by stabilizing the sink so it wouldn't be so shaky. The entire job took a little under three hours, and I was very pleased with the craftsmanship. All the work was explained to me. They truly live up to their namesake, Plumbing Pros!

(Exact same phone number and Ed is still in charge) My mom passed away shortly after she contracted with Ed, we recently did an audit of some of her building expenses. We found two bills, 9/21/05 and 9/23/05 BOTH paid in full. Two of the line items were exactly for the same repair/re[placement. A Gerber laundry room faucet ($465) and $390. Rather expensive for a $35/faucet. But charged and paid for TWICE. There is ONLY 1 laundry room in the building. I recently contacted Ed directly, sending him the copies of the posted paid invoices. Asking him about the duplicate charge and to refund the smaller of the two amounts. He refused. Granted it has been many years, but the audit was just conducted and the discrepancy found. Ed took advantage of a dying senior citizen and now refuses to correct his mistake. I'm using the term mistake, only because I find it difficult to think that his business would take advantage of a female senior citizen who died of cancer shortly after he performed these services.
