I discovered this location when I needed an urgent care (they have one attached), and dang is it…read morethe best decision I've ever made. For context, I'm a medical school professor and very comfortable in a medical setting and know what is and is not acceptable behavior. The PA I saw, Maddie, was personable, very informative, and actually listened... I know that should be what you expect at every doctor's office, but with privatization of insurance that's not always what you get. Heck, she listened and cared more than my students who are REQUIRED to to pass (ha!). She was thorough, listened to all concerned addressed them properly and provided all necessary important information including referrals and follow-ups. She was also incredibly smart and knowledgeable about a lot of topics, and you can tell because she doesn't throw a ton of big words at you to seem smart, it was demonstrated in her ability to describe things at a level that people without medical experience could understand. HIGHLY recommend. The medical assistant, Keniesha, who came in to draw blood and run an EKG was polite, knowledgeable and professional while making me feel at ease during understandably uncomfortable tests. Office staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and great at getting you all set up and going. I was taken back on time for my appointment, no unnecessary waiting (although it's totally understandable when it happens) and a very proficient & excellent overall experience

There was a line formed and the clinic did not open until 8:00 a.m. Allyson was at the front door in the cold, allowing patients to sign up for their clinic visit. Allyson called me by phone, as I waited in my warm car, when it was time for my appointment. You are required to wash your hands before coming into the waiting area; and, of course wear a mask which must cover your mouth AND your nose. Conrad was the associate who administered my Covid-19 test. Conrad explained the procedure (he also took my temperature and pulse oximetry measurements) and performed my nasal Covid-19 test. Conrad was professional, reassuring and kind as was Allyson. The pandemic has been horrible but these two associates made this process easy and stress free. I thank them for their hard work and dedication for risking their lives to assist the public.

Without the tests even coming back positive for anything , I was prescribed doxycycline as an antibiotic treatment. About half way through the treatment I was feeling really bad abdominal pain. I called my pcp at this office and she told me "Oh that's completely normal with doxycycline, just finish the course ". I finished the course. And after , My pain symptoms got so bad I ended up in the emergency room several times since. I was diagnosed with doxycycline induced gastritis . (Inflammation of the stomach lining ) . The medication I was prescribed here literally damaged my stomach lining. And my life has been hell ever since. Instead of trying to treat it. The doctor who prescribed it referred me to a GI practice , who didn't have anyone available but a Nurse practitioner. And I ended up paying hundreds of dollars in copays there just to make the issue even worse. This happened back in January and it's April now and I'm still in pain . I can't eat anything besides chicken toast or bread. And this has made my life a living hell. I went in for a visit and got blood work done. And when the results came back I was told " See you In May " . This place is corrupt and they will literally prescribe you medications without a active diagnosis or a confirmation of one. And they will say "Well that's the standard of care. " The doctors here are pharmaceutical sales people. Not doctors who care about you. I'm still going through the gastritis. This is the most miserable thing I have ever been through and could of all been prevented if the doctor would of waited for test results to come back instead of throwing a prescription at me. I'm down almost 100lbs now. I can't eat anything. And I'm in constant pain. They ruined my life !

My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. We would highly recommend this clinic.

When I called to ask about it, Susan was very rude and condescending. She even laughed at me. On top of that, the Dr. misdiagnosed me and set me and my family into a panic. The Dr. had a student with him, he did not ask my permission first and then spent the entire time talking to his student. This isn't a doctor's office, this is horrible.

The immediate care doctors, nurses, and MAs are very knowledgeable and always give great patient education. If you're lucky I'll be one of the gals taking care of you. You do not need an appointment for the Immediate care, but here are some tips: * Immediate care does not mean ER or URGENT. If you bleeding to death, have chest pains, spiking a fever over 103 or have something life threatening, GO TO THE ER. * The immediate care does not do followup maintenance for things like hypertension, diabetes, or any type of conditions that need to be monitored. But lucky for you, this location has a wonderful family practice/internal med and pediatric primary care doctors. So if you are sick or have conditions we can take care of, stop on by! I promise I am the best throat swabber and I give painless shots! :P

I was out of town and my husband took my daughter here in the middle of the night for croup, she was having some stridor at rest and having fits where she was struggling to breath and needed a steroid. We got charged over $2000 for a simple Covid/flu/rsv swab (all ran on one swab.) This is not the facility charge, not the xray or medication charge. This was ONLY for the swab. The doctor didn't feel strongly about it but said it was a good idea just to make sure, so my husband said ok. This is INSANE. INSANE price gouging. Our insurance covered half. We paid $1000 for a simple swab! It came back (negative) within 30 min so they run it in house. I am completely flabbergasted that these billing practices remain. To say that I was nervous was an understatement. When I checked in, they had a sign posted that several of the doctors were running about an hour behind, and then the person behind the desk made sure to tell me as well. Not exactly what someone who hasn't eaten in 24 hours wants to hear, but there's not really much you can do about it. When they called me back and took me into the pre-procedure area, I must admit that I started to panic. It was VERY crowded. Lots of beds sectioned off with curtains, nurses/anesthesiologists/doctors walking around, blood pressure monitors beeping, etc. If you're nervous about medical procedures, just steel yourself that it's going to seem chaotic, and you may be tempted to run out of there. The nurse who was working with me told me that it was a very time of year with everyone trying to get things done before the end of the year, so it may not always be like that. My nurse was very friendly and reassuring. I also had another nurse come by to put in my IV, the anesthesiologist stopped by to ask me a few questions and see if I had any concerns, and my doctor also came in to say hello. Before long, they were wheeling my bed into another section of the building and had me in my procedure room. There was music playing and the nurse made sure I was comfortable as we were waiting for the anesthesiologist. She came in, said she was starting the meds, and then I was out. Everything was uneventful, and a nurse from the office called me the next day to make sure I was feeling ok. I don't wish to have to use these services often, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.
