This practice ruined my life. I came here during a very dark place in my life. And I needed some testing for a possible STI/UTI. Off the bat. Without the tests even coming back positive for anything , I was prescribed doxycycline as an antibiotic treatment. About half way through the treatment I was feeling really bad abdominal pain. I called my pcp at this office and she told me "Oh that's completely normal with doxycycline, just finish the course ". I finished the course. And after , My pain symptoms got so bad I ended up in the emergency room several times since. I was diagnosed with doxycycline induced gastritis . (Inflammation of the stomach lining ) . The medication I was prescribed here literally damaged my stomach lining. And my life has been hell ever since. Instead of trying to treat it. The doctor who prescribed it referred me to a GI practice , who didn't have anyone available but a Nurse practitioner. And I ended up paying hundreds of dollars in copays there just to make the issue even worse. This happened back in January and it's April now and I'm still in pain . I can't eat anything besides chicken toast or bread. And this has made my life a living hell. I went in for a visit and got blood work done. And when the results came back I was told " See you In May " . This place is corrupt and they will literally prescribe you medications without a active diagnosis or a confirmation of one. And they will say "Well that's the standard of care. " The doctors here are pharmaceutical sales people. Not doctors who care about you. I'm still going through the gastritis. This is the most miserable thing I have ever been through and could of all been prevented if the doctor would of waited for test results to come back instead of throwing a prescription at me. I'm down almost 100lbs now. I can't eat anything. And I'm in constant pain. They ruined my life ! read more

this is the most unprofessional urgent care I have ever been to my whole entire life. I don't understand how this place is still up and running the staff, There is very rude non-helpful nonchalant don't care about people's health, concerns or health problem should I say as I am waiting in line at 5 PM there's a woman in front of me saying how her blood pressure is high and she's trying to be seen and they turned her around saying that she have to come back tomorrow because they're not seeing anyone at 5 PM on their door it says that they close at 7 PM on the call number let you know that they will stop taking people 30 minutes prior to them, closing for them to turn that woman away and her blood pressure is high as hell and for her to have to walk back home with them, knowing that her blood pressure is high is so wrong on so many different levels never in my 38 years have I ever been to a urgent care or hospital office deny a person treatment or to be seen due to them trying to rush out and leave knowing that the place do not close until 7 PM and it's only 5 PM not only that they didn't even ask what I was there for or my concerns i was told to come back tomorrow because they're not taking any more people today. Y'all never know if this is life or death or if a person really needed their help. if there was a way for me to call the state on them which I'm going to try my best I don't give a damn how long it's gonna take for me to find or figure out who I need to speak to about this place. I chose this urgent care because 1. They took my insurance and 2. It was an urgent care that did Covid testing. Thankfully it was just a Covid scare, but they handled everything great and got me in same day. They scheduled an appointment for me so they could coordinate my care without risking me exposing others. To protect staff and others they tell you to wait in your car until they are ready to bring you to a room, and then they call you and you can come in. The nurse was great, testing was fast... I know the nasal swab stinks but it went really fast and wasn't as bad as some of the other swabs I've gotten. Results were ready in less than 15 minutes and then I met with a PA to go over those (and receive treatment if I had needed it) and then I was on my way and good to go! My fiancé went in for treatment or pain medication for burns on of her body. It cost $100 out-of-pocket because her insurance expired on Monday at midnight. She was taken back to a room, looked at VERY briefly by a "doctor." She tore off all the bandages and tried to put them back on, but didn't offer new bandages, lidocaine patches (which would have helped with the burns), or even a pain medication. She left one of the wounds open to cloth and air. Said that "in FIFTEEN years, I'd never seen burns this bad." I highly doubt that. In fifteen years, working in the medical field, those are the worst burns you've ever seen? No. You've seen worse, 100%. I've seen worse in my life, and I've never worked in the medical field. We were referred to St. Vincent Hospital, and that was it. I have left a voicemail to the billing department and have already asked for my money back. We came to an Urgent Care hoping for actual care without having to put out maybe $2k+ for a hospital visit. Medical financial aid wouldn't help much in this economy. COVID-19 info on website is misleading. This place is Appointment only for COVID-19 testing, though the website says walk-ins available. They also don't answer their phones to help people set up those appointments. Testing for those who are Asymptotic is only done Monday - Friday. I had a potential exposure and showed up to get tested on Friday but since I had no symptoms, I was told I had to wait until Monday. No wonder there's a pandemic. read more

First, I had to go back 3 times to get an athletic physical because they don't take people past 5:45-6p. I put 5:45p because the 2nd time I attempted to go they said they were cutting off at 5:45p. We finally did get a physical but Andrea the PA was NOT friendly at all. She seemed burned out and her over all demeanor is not kind. The only reason we came back was the price. It was $35 with is much more affordable than the urgent care down the street. The front office staff blames the early stop of service on the provider and not I believe them. read more

Ive been coming to this practice for 5 years. The great PA they had left recently. The last time I was here they said I owed 200 something so I paid it and saw the PA. There should have been no cost to me because I met my annual out of pocket maximum. Now, 2 months later, I come in and I'm told I owe over 400$ for charges from 2015. What?! We went over this the last time. They said I was up to date and paid everything which is why I was allowed to see the PA. I asked to see the charges and she told me there is a number I have to call. I asked to see what she's looking at and she said she's trying to print it out. The documents show I paid what was due on the date of service yet somehow I'm being told I did not pay them. The printouts show wildly different costs between visits. The procedure billing fees list issues I don't have. So now for the second time in a row I'm told I have a balance of several hundred dollars to pay or I cannot receive care. Again, I paid it. I will never come back here because the business practices are inadeqand the receptionist is insufferable. I've now been here for an hour and a half and I'm still waiting. Great quick visit. Been sick for the past 3 or so weeks and had been pushing off going to the doctor. Finally decided to stop in here because it seemed a bit smaller and more intimate. I was right! They got me in very quickly and even got x-rays done in the office without much of a wait. Dr. Bogenschutz was very kind and really wanted to everything he could to make me feel like my normal self again without pushing any narratives or overprescribing any medicines, which is very important to me. I went to this clinic back in February 2020. My partner at the time was experiencing symptoms of mononucleosis, and shortly after, I started experiencing symptoms too. I didn't know what it was at the time though. I had a constant headache that got worse with movement, I felt tired all the time, and sudden, unexpected weight loss occurred. I went to UrgentCare Indy and got seen by a blonde PA lady. The first thing she asked me, with a snarky tone, was "okay what did you Google?" I thought that was not polite, but I explained what I felt. I told her I started incorporating more whole grains in my diet in the past few days, and she said "Well that's probably how you lost that weight." She dismissed everything I told her. She decided to do a blood draw anyway, and sure enough, I got diagnosed with mononucleosis. That was the cause of my weight loss and poor feeling, not whole grains and fish. I don't remember what her name was, but she wasn't very helpful at all, and I wish I had told the owner about this right after my appointment. read more

MALPRACTICE - DANGEROUS/POSSIBLY LIFE THREATENING - All the physician's basic exams, that every responsible physician does, aren't acceptable & could lead to SERIOUS COMPLICATIONS. I have mono (symptoms now severe/concerning) which can lead to throat abscess & unsafe enlargement of spleen. I would need to go to the hospital bc those require immediate intervention & emergency surgery. If complications aren't taken care of, could lead to sepsis/obstructive breathing. High risk bc I've had mono twice. Only looked in ears & never said that's my complaint. Asked for her to check my throat & feel around my spleen. Wouldn't do it & told me someone would bring a pamphlet w/ basic info. This disregard & incompetence could become malpractice if something went wrong bc of lack of basic care. Then I was given "advice" to see another nurse practitioner at office - motivation for them to receive more money bc they are for-profit. If they weren't thorough in the first place, no reason to believe another one would be and it would increase chances of complications if present. Said that & was told it would take 2-3 weeks to see any GP in the city - lived in major metro areas, Dallas, Denver & Austin, my whole life & never encountered this problem. Let alone an average city like here. Moved here in Sept. & was able to see a specialist on the same day I called OrthoIndy (highly regarded practice). read more

Waited almost 3 hours just to get in a room. They came and checked on me and I asked if they could hurry up my pharmacy closes in 30 than another 40 minutes went by until I finally walked out without being seen by a doctor. Still have issues going somewhere else. read more

No one bothered to tell me that i would sit in my hot car for 3 hrs that they won't answer the phone,and if you get lucky and they do youll just be put on hold until you hang up. O ya and if you leave to get ya know water, they will put you in the bavk of the 5 hr line again with no updates or info...save your time and find a legit place to see a doctor read more

My care was dangerously half-assed bordering on incompetent. I came in with viral bronchitis and the doctor decided that it was allergies because I had checked that box on the form even though none of the three people that had examined me had asked me anything about them. When I tried to tell the doctor that my condition had started in my eyes and spread to my sinuses and down my throat, not typical for allergies, I was given a lecture on antibiotic resistance like I was an idiot and accused of drug-seeking behavior. My advice: Dress up before visiting. Have your children in their Sunday best because they WILL be judged by their appearance and it could end up costing them their lives. read more

I had COVID test today (7/28/2020) Tyler administered the test. He was very gentle and I really appreciated his calmness. Hopefully, I will not to do the test again, but if I do, I would definitely go back to the Urgent Care facility at 79th and Michigan Road. read more

Needed a DOT physical on a Saturday holiday weekend. They answered the phone when I called and were informative about times they could see me. They were able to get me in and out quickly. Friendliest staff I have ever met for a dot physical. I found my new place to go. Would definitely recommend them. read more

Not one person introduced themselves to us and explained their credentials. The physicians assistant whipped out her iphone to research what my daughter's symptoms might be. I could not believe she would not get a doctor's input if she was unfamiliar with the symptoms. She ordered the xray in an obscure way so that the xray department had to call her to check what whe really wanted. The PA said she would call last night or today and I have not received one call. I just called them. And they have to call Ortho Indy to get the report.... Um, isn't that called following up on a patient? There were no papers for follow up or orders for resting her leg and ice and call back if symptoms persist or get worse. My family has had our fair share of sports injuries and urgent care visits for strep throat, and this was the absolute worst place to go for medical care of any kind. read more

First time at Expedite Walk-in Clinic and was very impressed. The staff, nurse & doctor were all very friendly and sympathetic to my ailment. I didn't have to wait very long to be seen by the doctor and she provided me medication onsite so I didn't have to go to the Pharmacy. Hopefully I won't need an immediate care clinic any time soon but if I do, I will definitely go back to Expedite. read more

I just moved to Indy for a job and don't have insurance for awhile. Thought and urgent care clinic might be the best option until I do. This place is clean, welcoming, and the staff is very polite. They saw me on a weekend within 20 minutes as a walk-in. The doctor was nice enough to prescribe generic medicine so that it would be cheaper for me. I didn't ask for it or point out my situation, but I really appreciated that. He also told me that I could consider their clinic for primary care once my insurance kicks in because they aren't just for urgent care. I definitely will! read more

DO NOT GO TO THE Michigan Road location. I took my son April 28th be he had a raised lump on his forearm. He told me it hurt and that he could hardly lift any boxes at his 7 day mandatory work week...mandatory 11 hour days. The documented prognosis was overuse/injury strain to L forearm. Ice, rest and to come back if it continues to hurt. My son went to work and a supervisor sent him home when the supervisor looked at his arm. The following day my son went to work and was in pain. I called the clinic on 5/3/2020 and was told that it would be no problem getting a note with restrictions until his next followup in three weeks. I went in today 5/4 and 2 women in the front office that they do not give any type of notes or even a note for restrictions. They also informed me that they will not fill out any FLMA paperwork if he needs it. I paid for that visit on the spot!!!! I guess the only paperwork you get is a receipt. These clinics are popping up anywhere. DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A FRAUDULENT ORGANIZATION‼‼‼‼‼‼‼ Such a joke!!! read more

Came here when my jaw PAINFULLY locked up. As fate would have it, due to a job change I was also in the middle of my 3 weeks without insurance. I went in and there were 2 other people ahead of me. I was called back within 20 minutes. The medical assistant who took my vitals and medical history was nothing short of kind and happy. I shortly thereafter saw a physicians assistant named Larry Vandermolen. This man was so sincerely kind, thorough and understanding. After assessing me and listening to the details of my current medical fiasco, he ran me through my various options and their approximate prices. When I made my decision on what I wanted to do, he then went and found coupons for me to ensure the medications I needed were as affordable for me as possible (he got me 2 medications for $16, without insurance). He also gave me refills to try to get me to September 1st, which is when I get insurance. The experience was better than I could have hoped for and I am incredibly grateful to the ensure staff, but especially to Larry. read more
