The office itself is well run and she shares it with other very good Doctors and Nurse Practitioners (I know, because I have seen them as well when she was not available for an appointment); but usually her schedule is accommodating (so, I prefer to see her). Dr. Melloh's staff is great and returns questions within a fair amount of time, and prescription refill requests within 24 hours if it's not scheduled; and the Doctor on call has always dealt with my issues promptly and professionally. Now, that is all the great stuff the Doc has going for her office-wise, as for the good MD herself, she listens intently; she is profoundly willing to work with you (not work ON you, like you're a car needing a tune-up); and, and she cares. You can tell by the way she tries to fix patients like me with ailments that are chronic. She hasn't given up on me and I'm kind of a pain in the yoo-hoo. We had a vacation that popped up so we needed to change what day we went in to the week the doctor would be gone but just see a different doctor. Called to change it and the person booked us for a day on the week my doctor was supposedly supposed to be gone? Super strange but we roll with it because our doctor is so great. At every appointment, there was at least a 30-40 minute wait. The doctor knows the job incredibly well. However, this doctor needs to work on the communication skills. This clinic charges $15 per child for medical records, even when you pick them up. I get the impression it's an exit fee. My husband located this urgent care center that was actually open until 9pm and was near 86th and Michigan Rd. We ran over. It is a small place on the north side of 86th St. Very clean and accommodating. Dr. Khan was patient and very thorough. He told us exactly what we had (strep) and why we had it. He explained what medication he was prescribing and why. He told us where to go to fill the prescription and said that if we were going to go directly to the pharmacy he would wait (past his 9pm closing time) to make sure that the pharmacy didn't need to call him because of the narcotics prescription (Tylenol with codeine). He said they would bill our insurance and on our way we went. He was maybe the best urgent care doc either of us has ever seen. Dr. Khan told us that he used to work at the urgent care in Nora but he left and opened up this place on his own. Looks like he has a second location on W. 10th St. as well. We would highly recommend this clinic.

The office was closed on a Sunday night, but they actually took us in to see our daughter who was suffering from body aches, ear aches, coughing etc. The staff was very good, very nice. Physician was excellent. Very thorough and detailed at explaining everything that was going on. You could tell he is not a "cookie cutter" or "cookbook doctor" where I feel they don't think analytically but look up a typical cookbook recipe to fix the problems. You can tell the Doctor has extensive experience and his approach is individualized. My daughter who really liked the doctor and was very happy being there. Rare for a child to like doctors office. I went in while experiencing a miscarriage. I arrived at 7pm and was told that an ultrasound tech…read morewas on call and had already been called due to another patient experiencing the same symptoms that I was and needing an ultrasound as well. I was told that once the tech was called, she had an hour to report in so it may be a wait. From about 8pm when I was moved to the ER side (apparently required due to needing an ultrasound), I was left in the room and would leave to go out in the hallway and check in with nurses to find out when I would be seen or any updates on the tech arriving. I did this about every half hour since I had been previously told she had an hour to report in. The tech finally saw me at 12am. During the ultrasound, she had constant phone notifications sounding off and distracting her from the procedure. At one point, she had me (the patient) hold the transvaginal probe inside of my body so that she could respond to her phone. I was already quite distressed due to the nature of going through a miscarriage, and this made it much worse. The cherry on top was the bill I received. $3400 (after insurance claims). $2000 of this portion was just due to having to check into the ER (to not be seen whatsoever) but just to have the ultrasound in that ER room. Just beware before coming here. The doctors and nurses are kind, but "on call" does not mean much to the techs. Also, beware that you will end up paying thousands if you step foot into their ER (even if no testing or care is done via ER services).
