I, too, was clueless when it comes with financial education…read more My parents didn't teach me anything and growing up, I saw them struggled with money and for this matter, I was on the pursuit to learn so I can make better decisions for my future. And that's when I found out about COFEC (Community Outreach Financial Education Class) with the help of Sheng Vang and Terrie Bui through one of my colleagues. A few months ago, I joined one of their weekly Saturday workshops to help find the financial peace of mind. I was blown away by the amount of knowledge and their mission to reach out to the community to impact and ensure families get the right education with the right resources that fit best for their success. Never had I felt like this group was trying to 'sell' me anything I didn't need. All they ever wanted was to teach, impact, and clear up any concerns and guide people in the right direction. It sounds so cliche but you'd be surprised how many groups out there just want a piece of your dollar for the sale. COFEC wasn't that. I don't know how else but to say that I have finally found the group that fits best for me and the amount of stuff they teach you is priceless and invaluable. Thank you, COFEC, Sheng and Terrie for all that you do! Looking forward to entering 2019 and many other years after with you all.

I was very impressed with my free evaluation consultation session with Daniel…read more I have always been hesitant with financial advisers because I've experienced a few of them who are "pushy" and are always trying to upsell. Furthermore I was a little concerned that this eval would turn into a "buy a full financial plan from me" type of thing. This was not the case with Daniel at all. He asked a lot of great questions, he took a lot of notes and gave me a great idea of where I'm at in my financial planning adventure. For me, I've done a lot myself and he was great to bounce ideas of things that I have been thinking or what I can do better. We both agreed that it probably wasn't time for me to dive all in to a full financial plan due to where I am at in my life and what I have been doing on my own. He was forthcoming in that he doesn't think that, at this moment, he would add significant amount more value to what I have already done on my own. He recommended that he can be available to bounce ideas off of in an hourly fashion. To me this is huge. I was half-expecting to not get any ideas/thoughts without signing up for a full financial plan. That Daniel walked through all my finances and gave me great ideas and recommendations. Then for him to say that I probably don't need him 100% of the time shows that he tries to understand his clients first rather than try to just take money from them. Greatly impressed and I will definitely be coming to him for advice and when my life changes where I would need his full services, will be coming to him again.
