Came here for therapy for a badly broken finger after a previous therapist did a bad job and made it worse. My hand surgeon personally recommended Oliver as the best hand therapist in the area and insisted I go only to him. Recovery took a long time but it did eventually get almost all the way better. There's still some residual soreness and stiffness but I believe they got it fixed as best it can get due to the extend of my injury. After having a trapezial excision and suspensionplasty thumb CMC joint reconstruction, I have been receiving therapy for about 5 weeks from Adrian and Erin at the Frisco office. I have been well cared for and given great therapy. The increase in mobility of my thumb is definitely notable. My surgeon was pleased and wrote me a new prescription to keep going. Right from the get-go, the ladies were friendly and welcoming. I never felt like I had to "knock on the door". These are different and difficult times and one never knows what to expect. Plano Orthopedics highly recommended Ascend Hand Therapy for physical therapy for my wife. It feels like family here and I really think we're going to miss these guys once we're done with therapy. Some things that I love: 1) Short wait, if any. 2) They treat us very well. I injured my hand (fingers) Jan 20th helping a friend move some heavy equipment on his land. Ended up with a few fractures, smashed fingers and two deep lacerations to one finger. The ER said I may have to see a hand specialist after stitches were removed. After a month the fingers were still very swollen and I didn't have much mobility. The fact that it was my dominant hand I decided to see specialist. The doctor said I was extremely lucky to have fingers and no nerve damage. Then he recommended therapy and was very specific that it needed to be with a hand specialist. The original place he recommended did billing in a way that it was going to cost a small fortune. So I took to google and yelp to find Ascend Hand Therapy. These guys rock! They do exactly what they set out to do. It is a very fun and relaxed environment. However, they know their stuff and take time to explain what they're doing and why. I would highly recommend David and Oliver. David is the nicer of the two and more gentle. If I had to pick one negative it would be they are LSU grads and love to let you know! Don't they know this is Big12 territory? Just kidding they are awesome and know their stuff. At 74 years old I have had to have physical therapy several times in my life. The professionals at Ascend Hand are the very best in their field for hand therapy. I completed two months of therapy and they completely solved my carpal tunnel release surgery problems that I was having! 11/18/17 I was assaulted and shoot multiple times (6) to my right (non-dominant) arm. I had 2 surgeries, few plates and screws placed from suffering multiple fractures to my Radius, Ulna and Humurus. After being discharged doctors and in patient rehab staff advised me to seek a hand specialist therapist that can do extensive work. I was swollen for about 1 month after. I went to Ascend and after about 4-6 weeks of extensive therapy my swelling is practically gone. David and Oliver are beyond professional courteous and of course impressive therapists. I am pleased to have started and will continue to go until healed - I have long road ahead. They won't go easy on you and always gives great recommendations to what exercises one should do at home. read more

Horrendous front office receptionist, she's belittling, disrespectful, condescending, has no empathy towards patients nor knowledge of the field she works in. The physical therapists seem well trained but don't interact or listen to their patients. Are more amused taking to one another, singing along to the music playing, and one even tried on his new clothes rather than helping out with the full room of patients being covered by one therapist. Don't go here if you want to make progress with your injury or be treated with respect. They didn't listen to me or the doctors instructions and now I'm paying for it with a tendon that had a chance to fuse in my finger, due to their neglect and lack of initiative. Covenant Hand Therapy is where I go now and they treat you like royalty! Paraffin treatments at the start of every session, led light treatment, ultrasound, an hour of the therapist working one on one with you massaging and working to gain passive and active motion with my finger. It's what physical therapy should be. Ascend is NOT!! read more

I was sent here by my insurance because I had thumbs that would dislocate. I was unsure before arriving because it was an hour away from home. After my first visit, I was delighted with their customer service because they made all of the customers feel like they were their best friend. I enjoyed their goofy personality. My hand feels 10 years younger now. I think I would still continue going but my insurance ran out. David and Oliver are the best free entertainment that my insurance paid for. read more

I had been really depressed and frustrated about a finger injury that had gotten worse due to a botched initial diagnosis by an urgent care place. The specialist I went to referred me to Ascend Hand Therapy as part of the treatment. I expected the typical dull routine of exercises and painful movements but the pleasant, informal atmosphere and encouraging attitude of the therapists at this place set it apart. The therapists don't just go through the exercises with the patients, they keep an active dialog going as they are doing treatment to understand what their patients are feeling and what their concerns are.
