The other was the removal and recarpeting of our stairs in a 100 yr. + old house that had a landing half way and reverses directions. How'd they do? We're working with them to have Caesarstone kitchen countertops installed which will require removal of concrete countertops we've had maybe 15-18 years that just didn't quite work out as well as hoped. So, yes, another vote with our wallet. This won't be inexpensive, but that's not what we're looking for. We're looking for fantastic quality and improvement of an important living space we use multiple times daily. The shower is a magnificent bit of work, one I'd argue improved the value of our home, assuming we ever move. I don't. It's luxurious, and I never fail to enjoy and marvel at the work after quite a number of years past its completion. It's the kind of improvement where you're happy every time you use it that you undertook the time and expense. Going from the typical tub with plastic curtains to this, the difference between blah and luxury. The stairs recarpeting was a much smaller project but was also a significant improvement. And although old wood floors squeak in old houses (we know how to stop that, but it's work), the recarpeting and padding they added made the stairs almost completely quiet and free of that noise. Two thumbs up for that. As with many firms, they may employ subcontractors, and my recommendation is you shouldn't automatically assume you can stand back and do nothing. We had a minor issue on our shower with one during installation. Kring's stepped in after we pointed to a concern and they saw it completed to our total satisfaction. Their showroom has tons of samples and more, and an individual assigned to your project, of course. We're looking forward to this new work with them and can't recommend them highly enough.

This was not a simple flooring job. The parquet required precise layout, exacting alignment, and a deep understanding of wood behavior, finishing, and sequencing. The JDW team approached the project with patience, skill, and pride in their work -- and it shows in every inch of the finished floor. One thing that really stood out: I supplied the parquet flooring, the sealer, and the polyurethane myself. Many flooring companies would have insisted on supplying everything in order to add markup or to control quantities. JDW Flooring did neither. They were completely comfortable working with owner-supplied materials, advised me honestly along the way, and treated the materials as if they were their own. That level of professionalism and integrity is rare. The crew was: Meticulous in their prep and installation Careful, clean, and respectful of our home Consistent and communicative throughout the process Clearly experienced with high-end and specialty flooring The before-and-after transformation is dramatic -- what was once an ordinary room is now something truly special and elegant. The parquet lies perfectly flat, the pattern is beautifully aligned, and the finish is flawless. If you're looking for a flooring company that values craftsmanship over shortcuts, is comfortable with custom or high-end work, and treats clients with honesty and respect, I cannot recommend JDW Flooring highly enough. We would absolutely use them again without hesitation.

I can only give Epoxy Floors by Welch five stars from start to finish…read more I received several quotes from local garage floor coating contractors, and ultimately chose this company for a few key reasons. For the estimate, Brandon (owner) came out personally to walk me through the process, pricing, warranty, and timeline. He struck a great balance--warm and approachable, yet professional and knowledgeable. Cost-wise, all of my bids were within $300 of each other, so price wasn't a major deciding factor. The companies I spoke with offered almost identical processes and warranties, so my decision ultimately came down to communication and overall confidence. Brandon and his team made the best first impression, and trusting that gut feeling definitely paid off. As for the installation itself--the process was smooth and well organized. The team dropped off a storage pod (included in the price) on Friday, giving us the weekend to clear out the garage. They returned Monday and completed the first phase in about five hours, which included surface prep (diamond grinding), crack repair, base coat application, and decorative flake broadcast. They allowed the floor to cure overnight, then came back Tuesday to scrape and clean the excess flake before applying the topcoat. They provided clear post-install instructions, no foot traffic for 24 hours and no vehicles for 72 hours, as well as after care information. From start to finish, communication was excellent. The team was friendly, professional, and responsive to questions. Overall, they made the entire experience easy and left me feeling confident that we made a good investment.
