If you are looking for a landscaping company that is highly knowledgeable in their field, priced fairly, true to their word, and actually take the time to listen to what their customers want... then look no further!!! After several disappointing interviews with other local companies, I feel really lucky that I was given a "word of mouth recommendation" for Anthony Marriott at Huston Contracting. Our initial meeting was a hit, simply because Anthony paid attention to what I wanted to accomplish. Once he had a feel for the potential project, he found out my likes and dislikes in order to make great suggestions. Going into it, I thought I would have to split several projects out over a couple of years... but their pricing and suggestions allowed me to get most of list completed. Everyone that worked on my yard was professional and courteous, and really knew their stuff. Their communication was fantastic, both with me - and with each other so that each phase was always ready for the next crew. Services I had completed: Extended Irrigation System with a smart controller - Installed drainage swale - Installed 80+ft berm - Lots of new landscaping and transplanting of some existing plants - Large Plant removals. I would give this company no stars, but that is not an option. I hired the landscaping arm of Huston Contracting to install some additional plants after it was hired by a gas line to repair places in my yard where work had been done. Many of the plants installed, that I purchased over and above the repair work, were not dug in and several branches of the bushes were broken. Most of the plants died. When I reached out to the company, I was told they would be right out. After a few weeks of not hearing anything, I called again. After going back and forth trying to get someone to call me, I was told they would not be standing by the product or their installation; they determined that I must have done something wrong. They would not come out and look at the plants or help me in any way. They told me that the project was so small in terms of money amount that they could not be bothered with it. Standing by your work and having integrity are about much more than money to me. I would not hire this company knowing how they treat their clients or how they conduct their business. read more
