Utter con man. I hired Todd to seal some retrofitted sliding doors and windows around a rental house. He showed up and told his worker Earl to do it and then proceeded to convince my wife we should eliminate the bubbles from the vinyl flooring by having him recut the material to fit the space. After agreeing to this and checking their work later, Earl had damaged the flooring and none of the doors or windows had been caulked despite having paid him a full days wage at $800. We had to call them back two more times for them to adequately caulk the trimming but fast forward to the next rainy season and two of the sliding doors were leaking! Todd showed up a week after being notified, demanded $100 upfront to do anything, then refused because I told him he had already been paid and that we were just asking him to fix what he had already done. He then explained to me that even if there was a hole in the caulking it wouldn't matter because there is flashing behind the stucco and the water wouldn't get in. He said it must have been a roof leak which had tracked to the door somehow. It made me question why he didn't explain that at first when we hired him, and it clued me in as to why he thought performing shoddy work on the caulking was ok. After sending him home I took a hose to the doors and found that the caulking around them was indeed inadequate and the water was getting in around the trim just like we had thought and despite his flashing argument. It took less than a minute for us to see the water seep inside. Don't hire these people. He is nice enough and sure my wife likes him but he will upsell you on stuff you didn't call him out for, overcharge you, perform shoddy work, and refuse to take responsibility for it later unless you pay him more. What a joke. Now read his response to this post below.... After receiving his threats to take me to court I immediately blocked him. Instead of trying to make the situation right he threatened me with legal action! I might have been intimidated by this threat but everything I have said and described in this post is factual. I have nothing to gain from posting this review. Just trying to warn the public to stay away from this man and this company! Is it so wrong for me to hold a contractor responsible for their work? He said in his response below that I blow up in anger if I don't get what I want? Wouldn't this make anyone angry? wouldn't anyone want their windows and doors watertight after paying someone to do it? Would anyone want to pay more for work that should have been done right the first time? Take a good look at yourself Todd. Maybe there is a good reason people get angry at you. I am sure you are a great family man. Your insistence on remaining unavailable on Sundays suggests this. If I could give Todd and his business 10 stars, I would have done it due to his incredible staff, Omar & Marco. We had an unusual situation with my dining room walls. I sent him the pictures of the damage. And I explained him that my baseboards are stain and yellowish due to water damage. He replied me with a quote and a date to start the job. They showed up on time and finished the job (demo a long wall, stucco, refraining studs, insulation and new drywall in a couple days) in a couple days. After a week, Marco returned to paint the wall. Omar is a hard worker and very communicative of his job and the process. They were certain items that were not originally included in my initial quote but it's understandable. I've been meaning to write this review for months, as my experience with ASAP Services occurred back in February/March of 2019! I manage several properties in the Newport Beach/Laguna Beach areas. It was Valentine's Day when I received a frantic call from one of clients saying that it was literally raining water inside her house! For those of you who live in the area, you will remember that we had record breaking rain and wind storms during that time. Upon arriving at the property, I saw we had a major interior water damage issue. Large sections of water sodden drywall both upstairs and down needed to be removed ASAP to allow the area to begin drying out to prevent mold. My existing contacts for drywall repair were already swamped, so I was left to find someone I didnt know and hadn't worked with previously. This made me quite nervous - working with an "unknown". After doing an extensive search on Yelp, I contacted Todd with an urgent request for HELP! Todd answered his phone (huge) and sent a team the very next day and stayed on what turned out to be a very big job - until it was DONE! This is huge! Why? I've worked with a TON of businesses/ contractors in this area over the last 12 years and can tell you that there are a lot of flaky people with flaky work ethics - ex: showing up one day and skipping 2, not answering calls, leaving messes behind, poor quality, etc.. I mainly worked with Todd and Marco on this project and can say with 100% confidence that you can be rest assured that they will take care of YOU and your project with top notch professionalism and skill. Fabulous work and reasonable on price. I got my quote quickly enough and felt it was the best out of my options and inquiries plus he said he could have it done the next day! I went for it and his electrician arrived on time reviewed my request, got his ladder and went to work! I had 3 integrated LED SS pendant lights over my kitchen island that quit working within a year replaced with modern farmhouse pendants that I can change bulbs on. He knew exactly how to measure them next to each other so they all hang at the same level. Everything looks great! Plus! I had such a great experience with Todd today. I called ASAP Services at around 8:30am and Todd answered immediately. I told him I needed someone to repair a hole in the drywall, hang a picture, and most importantly, repair some pretty bad drywall and baseboard damage and rot due to water damage from the shower. To my surprise, he said he was available to come over this afternoon! When he arrived, he was super professional and sweet with my annoying dogs, inspected the damage, went to Home Depot and bought all the supplies, and returned and did all the work in only 3 hours! The repair work is impeccable and now I have a brand spankin' new baseboard. The total price was $200- such a good deal! I'm sad we had a poor experience a few times. Once we had an urgent problem with worry about gas problem amongst other things. Todd wanted to charge extra for weekend help (I think real reason being because he heard my desperation and urgency...he had few weeks prior sent someone over on a weekend, for casual help, with no price increase). He ultimately sent a helper for the weekend, who was more than 2hours late. We were going nuts as we had scheduled tightly around this handyman help (as it was urgent need because of the gas. but weekend times are so critically in demand with kid events!). Todd's handyman (Jeremey) arrived late and didn't know how to do any of the items on our task list (which I had told Todd). Didn't apologize for being extremely late, and Todd didn't make up for sending someone who came super late, didn't know anything off our list, wasting key weekend time. We also found out that if you call gas company, they send someone free, very quickly. Which I'm sure Todd new, having been in the business. I was very disappointed he wouldn't share this when I called him worried about gas problem and requesting urgent help, but rather he wanted to suddenly increase price on us. Because it felt like taking advantage of us, and not being helpful, we haven't called back for our other needs. We have reached out to other handymen. Pluses are that Todd was polite. And responds quickly to texts. (But that's not that helpful when he's sending a third party over, whose whereabouts he knows nothing about :-/) read more

I called ASAP Services less 24 hours ago & Marco has already come to my home, completed everything I asked him to do, cleaned up & left. THAT IS SUPER IMPRESSIVE! I am not the kind of person that likes to wait if I don't have to so i couldn't be happier ASAP stayed true to their name & got here so quickly. Not only was the work done quickly though, it was done very well & Marco was very easy to work with. He was actually early but didn't mind waiting outside until our scheduled start time so we could finish preparing for him. When he came in @ exactly 9:30a (our scheduled start time) he was friendly and extremely competent. His experience is very obvious by the excellent work he did! I only had to show him what i wanted done once which was really nice. He finished up all I asked him to do in a lot less time than i had anticipated. My husband and I had a 2-page list with all the 'miscellaneous' work we needed done, ordered by priority. The most time-sensitive and worsening problem was 4 small areas in our kitchen linoleum where several spots had the seams separating and buckling up. Other handymen we called said they didn't think it could be fixed. ASAP services had great reviews, and Todd seemed willing to try, so we set up an appointment for a week later. When Todd and Marco arrived, Todd not only DID fix our linoleum (even going to Home Depot to buy colored sealer so the glued seam would make those separated floor areas like new), but he and Marco also started fixing many of the other tasks on our list (painting bathroom door and touch-up painting baseboards, fixing kitchen faucet, installing a valance, and removing old corrugated plastic from our patio cover). I was hoping to leave a good review after every one else had... I called Todd to set up an appointment and we had to reschedule once... I'm a patient person so that was okay. I had an issue with my washing machine leaking water in the back... Todd came out and replaced a part behind the washing machine, told me he glued it in (red flag?)... I started a load of laundry and we figured it was fixed, I paid him and he left. At the end of the wash cycle the water was back so I called to let him know. He told me he would get in contact with his plumber to snake the pipe. Well, a few days later he tells me to hire a plumber because his is too busy? What kind of handy man can't snake a pipe? Todd talked me into hiring them last minute to fill In a recent cancellation. He ensured me in doing this they'd get the job done quick and affordably. The job, was to paint a 10x12 room and set up a closet fixture from IKEA. First day Marco was there for 6 hours. In that time, he completed a layer of primer and a single coat of paint and removed an existing drawer set within the closet. That was it. Todd then said they could be down the next day to finish painting. To my surprise, they never showed up. So a no call no show the second day in. It wasn't until 7pm I was told they would try and get there to finish painting still never showed or provided further contact. Marco was there the third day, cursing loudly to himself. Making people in the house uncomfortable. 2 out of 3 times checking on the progress he was sitting on the bench informing me of "what he finished" and that he was working hard. At the end of it, I calculated him there for 12 hours, they tried to charge me extra hours (14 hours total) So they wanted me to pay almost 1000 dollars for a room to be painted. All the pieces of the IKEA furniture are laid about everywhere for me to try and deal with. The worst part of it, Todd was very intimidating in making me pay, they don't do a prior quote or contract so he is able to be. When I explained my frustration instead of trying to rectify the situation he demanded I pay him. When I finally agreed to the overpriced amount in fear of retaliation he went fishing the day I agreed to meet him, so I had to chase down his employee to settle the balance. I'd suggest against hiring these people. Marco was nice enough but sandbagged the whole job, Todd is on the phone to force you into paying whatever he desires. His "20 years of professional experience" do not show. They aren't the type to listen, they will get their money and get out. Do not call, do not let them know where you live. read more

Contacted Todd about repairing a ceiling damaged by rainstorm. Todd gave me and estimate for the drywall repair as well as some additional painting. Marco came out to do the work. He is fantastic. He showed up on time each day he was scheduled and was very polite. When he tore out the damaged drywall on the ceiling, we realized that the wood was still damp and that the insulation in the ceiling was wet and should be replaced.. He said we should wait for the wood to dry before doing the repair....which we did. In the mean time he proceeded to complete some of the painting work in another room. Marco was very professional and did not recommend doing the ceiling until it was completely dry....so we waited for a couple of days. I really appreciated the fact that he did not just push ahead with the repair while the wood was still wet as that might have caused problems later. Marco eventually finished the ceiling repair and some wall patching as well. He did a great job and it was obvious that he took pride in doing his job well and to the satisfaction of his customer. I can't speak highly enough about this company. Todd is quick to respond, fair in price, and has the type of work integrity that a customer can only hope for. Todd responded to my rental house due to a water leak. He responded within 2 hours of my call and by the 3rd hour, we have pretty much found the problem and he was able to give me a paper quote broken down to labor, material and approximate completion time. The quote was in my email box before the end of the evening. While repairing the water leak and after gutting some more drywalls open, termite damage was discovered (as expected from a water leak) , so an secondary quote was given to me detailing how a supporting wall was to be erected to be able to replace the termite rotted wood. Again, the quote was in my email box before the end of the evening. I setup the payment schedule in 3 parts and was pretty much dealt with him on a Check/Cash basis. My check is good as cash and he pretty much cashed my cash ever evening before COB of my bank. We had a very good report with each other. Oh, did I mention that Todd is very detail oriented? I can find no seams between my old and new dry wall. I'm going to quote him a bit. When I was confirming with him of paint matching, he told me "I was born at night, but not last night." The guy is good. As with any job you and the handyman need to build a good report and all things has to be in written form. It protects everybody. I actually broke out my check book (haven't been using checks for years) because the bank keeps a copy when it's cashed. It becomes a form of receipt (with signatures). Overall, Todd is very aware of his capabilities, is on time and is a man of his word and I would recommend Todd for handyman services and would also use him again if I have needs on my other properties. read more

I hired this company to replace a smoke alarm in my bedroom that was too high for my ladder to reach. Let's start with the good: Good 1. They offered to come same day. The next day worked better for me and they agreed. 2. They came with all the materials required, including an extension ladder. 3. Tod was very friendly and efficient. He didn't make a mess and replaced the alarm in about 20 minutes. Bad 1. Tod was scheduled to arrive at 8 AM but didn't arrive until 8:40 AM. This wouldn't have been such an issue except he didn't call to let me know when to expect him. I tried calling the phone listed on the Yelp page but no one picked up. I was told that he got the number of my condo wrong. Overall, the service was o.k. I understand that people get behind and traffic can be an issue, particularly in Orange County. However, it is reasonable for the customer to expect a phone call to give an updated time to arrival. I might give them one more shot. read more
