Did he fix our locks? Yes. BUT during a pandemic, you would expect a few things: First, you would expect that someone would come wearing a mask. Jeff didn't. Then when I asked about it, he said "Oh, he'd wear one, but he didn't have one," and "he wasn't worried about it." When I asked that he walk around the house to the back door he was fixing, instead of through our home, he said "he didn't mind going through the house" and I said that I DID mind and had to direct him around the gate. Then, as soon as I was in another room, he repeatedly walked through the house (again, with no mask or gloves on) instead of going around the outside. I am not trying to sound difficult or extreme, but my sister's roommate caught covid because of a plumber that was asymptomatic, came to fix their toilet, and accidentally shed virus in their home. Look, I can't complain about the service. He fixed a difficult lock and our locks are now rekeyed. That part is just fine! But he also played fast & loose with his clients' lives (and those of our coworkers and neighbors, his friends, his family, etc.) by ignoring the state mask mandate, repeatedly blowing me off when I asked him to stay closer to the doors/walk around the outside of the house, and he came wholly unprepared to safely work in someone's home by having zero mask, zero gloves, and zero compassion and thoughtfulness. I am totally stunned at his lack of regard for the health and safety of his clients, and in hindsight, I should have just said "If you don't have a mask, you can't come in." In other words, if you are at all concerned about your safety, or know anyone (like we do) that is immunocompromised, older, or very young, DO NOT book anything with this locksmith until the pandemic has ended. read more

I called in at 4pm on a weekday, and the owner happened to be in the shop. I was asking about when he would be open next so that I could have some copies of a key made. He told me that even though he closed at 2pm, if I was headed his way, he would stay in the shop so that he could make my keys for me. He told me to just knock on the door when I arrived. I showed up at around 4:15, and knocked on the door. He was very kind and happy to help me out. He quickly made me three copies of a key, and when I bought some key rings for them, he offered to place them on the rings for me too. He even taught me a little bit about the key I brought in. It was a key to a fireproof safe, and he explained to me that the code etched onto the side of the key lets him look up the type of key and the exact cuts to make to create a duplicate. He is very knowledgeable and really cares about his customers. I will continue to go through him for any of my lock/key related needs! read more

When these people say A.S.A.P. they are not messing around. I called this morning because I lost the key to my car and needed a new one made. He pulled up in front of my house while I was still on the phone with him. He said "I'm here", I said "I see that." Of course it probably didn't hurt that he had just finished a call a few blocks away, but come on people, this just doesn't happen. I was a wreck from what I'd been through and Jeff was so nice, explained things so that I understood and really helped calm me down. Horrible, could not change my ignition, could not make new keys for my door. Broke my automatic lock button, did not reinstall my door panel correctly, all he did was find a similar key that will unlock the door but not lock it and charged me $90. Blamed it on my truck, it's a 1995 Chevy Silverado, pretty common. read more
