I don't live in Austin full-time anymore, but every chance I get to be back in town, I call Mona and let her know how long I'll be staying and when I might be able to get my hair done. That's how much I value her! Mona has such a warm and friendly personality and a calm, reassuring demeanor. She makes you feel comfortable the moment you sit in her chair. She's also incredibly honest and professional. If she's booked, she'll tell you honestly, but she'll also call the minute there's a last-minute cancellation. I can book online, but she always tries her best to squeeze me in when she can. And with Mona, I'm willing to wait. Pricing is transparent and posted on the website where you can easily book your appt. and add your card info. A basic dry cut starts at $35 and goes up based on your add-ons (e.g., shampooing, drying and styling, etc.). I had my hair washed (I prefer wet hair for cutting) and blow dried after the cut. I was able to book a next-day appt. online. I showed up early and Mona was running a little behind, but once I was in her chair she went to work and achieved the look I was going for quickly without cutting quality. I chopped 6 inches off and did long layers and a light face frame. Conveniently located in a shopping strip in north Austin, it's not the fanciest salon, but great service and products if you just want a good quality cut and style!

How could you go wrong at that price? For those who may not be familiar with threading, you eye brows are plucked through the use of thread wrapped the threader's fingers. Some folks prefer it to eyebrow waxing because it less painful and the eyebrows are pulled from the root. Today, I decided to get my eyebrows threaded, which took less than 5 minutes. The cost was $11.00. In Washington state, threading shops were prevalent. They were virtually on every corner of the city and very inexpensive as well. My threader did a good job. However, she did a great job with my hair and really listened to what I wanted and we worked out a plan to be able to eventually get to the style I was looking for her name is Victoria and I really miss her. she had to go on a lengthy trip so she is not available at the moment however, the owner of the salon is and she is equally as proficient in Cutting and styling. Her name is Fairy. She will be doing my hair until Victoria returns. The environment at La Beaute Savage is delightful. It's very spacious with stations set up and there is no crowding here. The stations are adequate size and room to work all the way around the client without any obstacles. Fairy also provides facials, which I intend to try ASAP ! I think with the weather we've been having, and such high humidity it hasn't done my skin any favors. I'll definitely add to my review once I'm able to experience their facial.
