Plus the bone was broken above the next lower joint which she also addressed I tell ya it was so demolished but somehow she has put it all back together I can hardly believe what an amazing job she has done! I wish now I had taken photos of my finger as it was just dangling backwards ....just flopping around hardly connected at all! I thought for sure I would lose it But now less than 4 weeks since the accident with all the exterior stitches out ? I have full feeling! The skin is probably over 80% healed back together I still have my finger! I thought sure I was just going to have a horrible stump end shorty finger but from the best angles already? if you squint? you can barely tell Dont get me wrong there is still lots of healing to do and I still have 3 K wires sticking out of my finger tip that she used to stabilise the broken bone but I am just blown away at her EXCELLENT work! I do have pics when it was still pretty fresh with the stitches etc so maybe I will post those and pics when I (hopefully) get these wires out in less than 2 weeks! I know it is going to take time and PT to get full use back but I am really pretty confident it is going to work out just based on how beautiful a job she obviously has done! It was only during that call with a young girl -- after sending personal photos and diving into concerns I was experiencing that I was informed of the consult fee. It was a turn off and I think it's not reasonable for privacy reasons to ask anyone to send personal photos to a phone number without really being forth coming on the fact that there will be a $300 fee for the doctor to see them and to see you. There are may many brilliant plastic surgeons and consultants and attorneys who do not require you pay upfront to meet them. Much like taking care of a legal issue or searching for a financial advisor or an estate planner -- we should have the opportunity to meet a doctor without strings attached.
