I was very excited to begin my weight-loss journey here. I started at 400 pounds, and after…read moresurgery, I'm now down to 230. For that, I'm truly grateful -- the surgery itself changed my life. However, the experience as a whole has been disappointing, especially given the high cost (over $225,000) and how strict they are with insurance policies. What led me to leave a low rating is the post-op care -- or rather, the lack of it. I changed jobs, and with that, my insurance changed. During that transition, I received no notice or bill, but when I tried to schedule a much-needed post-op follow-up due to severe stomach pains, I was told I'd been sent to collections over a $250 bill I never received. Even worse, when I offered to pay the balance directly, I was refused and told I had to deal with the collection agency. No prior warning, no email, no phone call -- just sold off to collections. I found this incredibly harsh, especially for a post-surgical patient still in pain and trying to navigate life after a major procedure like this. It's hard enough adjusting to a new body and lifestyle without losing touch with the very team that promised continued support. I'm thankful for the weight loss, but to undergo such a serious surgery and then feel abandoned is deeply disappointing. Better communication and compassion for patients during follow-up -- especially when dealing with billing -- would go a long way.

First, I can't believe there are no more reviews for Dr. Arsenous. She has so many patients. Come…read moreon, it's 2018 people! Dr. Arsenous has recently treated both, my mom and I. She's amazing at working her magic with microdermabrasion and laser (light) therapy. She's very experienced, has a great bedside manner, and her staff is nothing short of spectacular. Alexis, her office manager, is extremely helpful and professional. She made it super easy to set up an appointment and made sure we were fully aware and informed of our procedures every step of the way. So yeah, we are really excited to have started our make-overs with Dr. Arsenous. In a nutshell, Dr. Arsenous offers an ample array of cosmetic treatments and packages to help improve and freshen-up your look, such as IPL, Botox, fillers (Radiesse, Sculptra, Juviderm, etc). She also offers fancier procedures like fat transfer to the face and other areas, liposuction, breast augmentation - You name it. We received so much information during our first visit I was compelled to share my experience. Not only that, she happens to offer ALL of these services at her beautiful office/surgicenter which is conveniently located in Glendale, Queens. If you're not familiar with this area, know this place is not in the middle of the "hustle and bustle" part of town. Rather in the quiet, more serene part of Queens. Just minutes away from Atlas Mall. Moreover, our experience with the laser treatment - to fade away discoloration, fine lines and tighten lose skin - was ideal. The produce itself was 45 mins for me and 1hr for my mom. The laser doesn't burn at all, it's more of a warm flow of air over your face? It's kind of hard to describe, but the bottom line is it's painless! Although we could see some improvement right after the procedure, it will take another 3-4 weeks to see the real, more permanent, results. All in all, we are very happy to be patients of Dr. Arsenous.

My 85-year-old mother was taken to this hospital because she was experiencing severe hip pain. We…read morerepeatedly informed the medical staff that she had recently undergone a hip replacement. Instead of identifying the cause of her condition, the doctors determined she was losing blood and administered blood transfusions, but only after heavily medicating and sedating her. Over the course of four separate emergency visits, one every week, she received four blood transfusions. Despite this, no one thoroughly investigated why she was losing blood or why she continued to be in such pain. Each visit followed the same pattern: treat the symptoms with narcotic pain medication, give a transfusion, and discharge her without finding the underlying problem. Only after we repeatedly pleaded with the medical staff did they finally discover she was suffering from an internal bleed. She was then transferred to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where the medical team immediately evaluated her, administered another blood transfusion, identified the source of the bleeding, and successfully stopped it. Had the underlying cause been investigated during her first visit, my mother could have been spared weeks of unnecessary pain, repeated hospitalizations, and multiple blood transfusions. In my family's experience, this hospital focused on treating the immediate symptoms rather than diagnosing the root cause. It was an incredibly frustrating and frightening experience, and one I would not wish on anyone.

Recent surgery with highly low immune system that could put me back in the hospital again. I was given a wrist ban, blood pressure taken after sitting there for an hour. Finally had a doctor come in to speak to me just to tell me he was trying to get in touch with my Mt. Sinai doctor. I actually had to call mt. sinai myself to get the covering doctor on the phone. Gave the phone to St. John doctor and still nothing happen, I sat there for yet another hour with a woman with two children, one running around and the other crying its head off. Meanwhile this enviroment could have caused me more serious illness as my immune system was low. I decided after four hours to leave. Next problem was my ride home. Apparently my driver /relative was told that I was staying overnight so they could come back in the morning to pick me up. So here I was, in a strange town, strange hospital, not taken care of and pouring rain and my driver gone because someone gave them wrong information. The next worst thing is they send me a BILL!!!!!!! FOR DOING NOTHING!!! THREE HUNDRED SOMETHING DOLLARS FOR WHAT? I am so sorry I did not choose to take the longer drive to Mt. Sinai Oceanside. This hospital is not a good hospital. Id be afraid to have anything done there and so glad I did not have to as a result of no service.!! Go to this hospital at your own risk!!!!!!

The Staff was friendly and I would recommend without any hesitation. UPDATE: though my daughter was helped WARNING: insurance wise they tried to rebill me and kept sending lawyers to me repeatedly so be careful in the finance dept. luckily I have kept my records and payments as well as the insurance info paid so each lawyer saw I was on the right side. Very deceitful so if you come to this place ALWAYS keep your records for years to protect yourself from what happened to me doesn't happen to you. Hope everyone gets to read this and protect yourself and your family from their greed and harrassment.

I went…read morehere to get my tooth pulled had an appointment for 9:30am walked in and I was told to write my name on the clipboard. I was number 9 on the list, instantly irritated because why do we have an appointment? Next I'm sitting in the waiting area since 9:30 wasn't see until 11:45am the medical assistant came got me and didn't even tell me to take my coat off. Just put the X-ray gown on me and took my X-rays. Put me in the room, didn't clip the towel over me just laid it on my chest and left. The doctor came in the room around 12:00 noon! Mind you I had a 9:30am appointment! He numbed my mouth, told me to wait 5 mins he will be back. I started feeling shaky because I was uncomfortable! It's only one doctor, one medical assistant and a front desk lady. No real structure or workflow. He came back into the room and started pulling my tooth, I told him to stop immediately because I could still feel the pain. He numb me again and again still was feeling the pain while he is tugging on my tooth not gentle enough but rough as if he had somewhere to be ! I told him he hurting. He said well you do have an infection on the tooth and it's going to be painful. I could put you to sleep for $250 like ummmm no if I have an infection why would you pull my tooth without me taking care of the infection first! Diabolical so I am crying from the pain. He like okay I'll send meds and we will resume next week! I was left in the room crying the medical assistant is like okay you can head to the front. As she is setting up the room for the next patient. He was so rough in my mouth just going for it instead of easing my way in. I advise the lady in the front about how rough he was she said did you tell him I said no. My mom asked her what is the next steps because she is the one who recommended me. The front desk lady tells me and my mom I'm being overly sensitive!! Like I'm not in pain! The doctors comes out my mom is speaking to him and he goes I been doing this for years. I said okay but your bed side manner sucks. I wouldn't recommend this place ! They're a money grab for the low income community! It's a hole in the wall, equipment looks rusty!
