Process is simple. You pick your already made ceramic piece off the shelf and someone sits down with you before you start painting. They explain all the dos and don'ts and show you samples of a good painting job and what happens when you don't later enough paint. Then you go and create your masterpiece! You're free to use whatever brushes you want and all the paint that you need. There also is no time limit of how long you sit and paint. I think my gfs and I took about 2.5 hours? All pieces are priced differently. They're very helpful if you have any questions so don't hesitate to ask! The only thing that my gfs and I didn't realize is that it takes about a week for the pieces to be "glazed". So if you're not from around the area it might be a pain to come back and get it. If you fail to pick up your pieces I believe after 3 months, they donate them. I came back at exactly the 7 day mark and they just finished glazing that morning. Thank god, because I would've been really disappointed if I had gone all that way for nothing. They also have a sign that says no need to call to ask if your piece is ready as it SHOULD be ready within a week.

We were so impressed we bought a year membership so the whole family can participate together. You come in, choose your piece, get a bit of instruction and then you are off to the races. The price includes all supplies needed and the glazing, and as many hours as you need to create your work of art. You can just keep coming back for as many hours as it takes, at NO extra cost, so that you can get it just right!!! Love that! Give it a try - bet you love it like we do!

Glazed Expressions - I painted the house that's a candle holder. It was about $15 for the piece. The donut is a jewelry box.

They offer all sorts of classes along with walk in hours to create something wonderful. They have many options for projects and ideas. A few winters ago they offered a Christmas truck class which was a blast. They also do birthday parties in their back room. With covid I am not sure if they are back into that just yet. They do offer a summer camp for kids and those finished projects they post on Facebook look so good. They are following all covid guidelines. When the pandemic first hit they pivoted their business to take home kits. They have an online shop where you can buy the kits. They were the cutest kits. Customer service is amazing here. They love their customers and business. They are true artists so if you need help with technique or glaze selections they will definitely help you get your finished product to look amazing. It is an affordable activity even for the littlest artist. I love this locally owned and operated business. This is way better than the franchise options in the area.

We settled on a piggy bank for me and a "kitchen creature" (an animal that holds a sponge) that my boyfriend turned into a plant pot. There were some kiddos in the room which makes sense, but it was still a nice date spot. The woman helping us was very kind and helpful and gave us the whole run down. Ended up paying about 60 dollars for the two of us which is kinda pricy but worth it for the unique experience of making something of our own without having to start from scratch. Over all a fun place to stretch your creative muscle no matter the age or occasion :)

We got there pretty late (turns out just an hour isn't enough!) and they let us come in at a later date to finish our work, with no additional fees. There's additional space downstairs, but I didn't check it out. The employees are quite friendly, though our experience was entirely self-directed. There are plenty of people chatting while crafting; there are quite a few university students, probably due to the student discount. We ended up painting and firing three pieces. Sadly, one piece got chipped after firing. They did refire it, but we had to come back another time to pick it up. There's a pretty wide selection of ceramics, with a few "specialty" pieces, but it's worth noting they're Made in China designs, if you care about that sort of thing. Overall I would probably go back, with a bit more time in mind - there are plenty of great restaurants in the area to decompress, too!

The music had a nice vibe, somewhere along the lines of EDM, trance, and dub step. The actual bar is pretty small and in the back but there's lots of quaint seating that's almost living room style. I took a chance on the Vampire's Blood cosmo despite having no idea what beet juice tastes like or caring for tart cherry juice, and the risk paid off. It was excellent. It still tasted like a cosmo because of the vodka and citrus, but with an unusual twist. There were three art shows on exhibit. We thought The One by Harry Michalakeas was vampire themed photography, but they were actually pastel/charcoal drawings. Blown away. The other exhibits, Monstrous Dreams by Adam Cooley and Sinister Piffle by Michael Reedy were also very cool. Apt for Halloween, without being too on the nose. The venue also has a lot of unique works by other artists on display, and a space for large music. They host everything from concerts to art shows to author signings, even burlesque. The bar is small with a few tall chairs. There are also small cafe tables and some cozy chairs and sofas. Such a unique and exciting venue.
