This place is beyond amazing. They are in the village of spencerport. This is a locally owned and operated business. A wife and husband team. They offer all sorts of classes along with walk in hours to create something wonderful. They have many options for projects and ideas. A few winters ago they offered a Christmas truck class which was a blast. They also do birthday parties in their back room. With covid I am not sure if they are back into that just yet. They do offer a summer camp for kids and those finished projects they post on Facebook look so good. They are following all covid guidelines. When the pandemic first hit they pivoted their business to take home kits. They have an online shop where you can buy the kits. They were the cutest kits. Customer service is amazing here. They love their customers and business. They are true artists so if you need help with technique or glaze selections they will definitely help you get your finished product to look amazing. It is an affordable activity even for the littlest artist. I love this locally owned and operated business. This is way better than the franchise options in the area. read more

My friend and I had a great time there! There is no studio fee, which is a nice change from other studios in the area. They have a pretty good variety of pieces to pick from to paint. I chose a dog bowl to paint while my friend painted a cereal bowl. They had stencils and idea books to look at to help you decorate your piece, which is helpful for those that aren't too creative, like myself. It takes about a week for the pieces to be "baked" so you can pick them up. I'm looking forward to getting mine back soon! read more

SPLATTERS STUDIO - My painted dog bowl - Spencerport, New York

I went to Splatters for the first time in Spencerport NY. First, I found that Splatters had a very detailed website/ social media. They have lots of information about the process of creating the perfect pottery piece. I called to ask a few questions, the owner answered the phone and he broke down the specifics for me. I was first worried that I'd walked in and find myself spending a ton of money. That was not the case at all...they have a large amount of different sizes and collection of different items to paint. But when I looked at the price of the pottery I thought it was worth every dollar. The owner was attentive to our party. He explained start to finish about the process of pottery. He also was so kind and helpful. I have to say I assumed that this would be the typical "painting party " but I left feeling that I found the best business in the area. Thank you to the owner, you were SO wonderful and accommodating. With that said.....I don't usually write reviews but I was fascinated with Splatters. I hope that other families give them a try because I know you will be as impressed as I was. read more
