We've been part of AIM since January, and it's been such a welcoming experience from day one. My daughter was pretty anxious at first, but now she absolutely loves every class with Miss Jenn--and the special drop-off events, too. The recital was a great bonus, giving the younger kids a chance to feel proud and show off what they've learned to their parents, friends, and family. Fun studio with a few kinks. I purchased an online voucher so was able to get a good deal on classes. The Zumba and Barre classes are good, and overall the studio seems to have a lot of clientele. Friendly service. Most instructors are great however I don't find their barre classes very challenging. I'm an avid barre person so I know what to expect. Lastly, the place needs a facelift and the studio rooms could use a really good cleaning. read more

I was looking for a dance studio for my daughter a year ago. She was 3 at the time so a lot of schools offer daytime hours which didn't work for me since I work full time. I knew certain places I did not want to go to and when I found AIM they had a Friday night class for her age group. We signed up and fell in love the first night. Her teacher Miss Allie, is amazing and has such patience. All the parents were so nice and all the kids were so adorable. I became friendly with the moms and would have dinner dates and even ran into friends I haven't seen in years. The prices are good and same with the costume fees. They do 4 different recital times which made the recital 1 1/2 hours. Just signed her up for another great year!! read more

I don't know that it's fair to write a review after just one class, but I am a person with very limited time so when something is so off - it is unlikely that there would be a second time. I took a barre class here this evening because I needed the 6:30 time slot they were offering. And now I feel like I need to go to the gym or some thing to get a work out. The class was not challenging, maybe because the instructor kept stopping the class to tell us about her boss' s smashed up corvette or that the woman sues people in Las Vegas & all of the people she sues somehow aquire her attorney so then she can't use them anymore. I now know this woman, with the smashed up corvette, has squirrel pajamas and a ninja turtle utility belt. I know all this & more, however, I did not break a sweat. The instructor did not offer correction or adjustment - am I doing this right????? Maybe, may not.....no clue. I workout all over South Jersey based on who has a class that fits into my schedule, I wanted to like this place as they offer barre & kickboxing under one roof. Disappointing - this location could have been clutch. read more

I bought a Groupon for 10 classes to this dance studio. I have to say that after one visit - I am a fan. I needed to email the studio to reserve my spot for Zumba and whoever helped me was prompt, courteous and helpful. The studio is very clean and professional. The zumba class was lots of fun with a great teacher. I am looking forward to trying their other teachers' classes. read more

I've been to more than one studio in the area and have now found our home since Artists In Motion opened 9 years ago. The level of expertise mixed with the kind and caring teachers has made this a second home for our family! Got a groupon for 5 classes from here--I like how they load all the classes onto a key chain card and all you have to remember is to bring your keys! Very convenient. I've been to Zumba twice now--I've definitely enjoyed it. Can't wait to try their other classes! read more

Jennifer Y. Of course you are going to defend AIM- you are related to the business. This post is a year old, and you are the first to respond. Not even a phone call to see if my daughter was ok. After this incident with this awful place, we never had any contact with AIM again. With that said, I had nothing to gain by posting this- I just gave a review based on facts. Just because you were there, does not mean it was untrue. I stand by my review, I would never suggest this place to anyone. My wife signed up my daughter for dance class, I was not very enthusiastic about the whole idea of dance after hearing stories at work. My daughter absolutely loves it here. My daughter is in Michele's class, she has been very patient with her and always encouraging. My daughters first recital was great and I love that the fact that the funds are donated to a charity! read more

I recently was invited to a dance recital for my niece. It was held at the Aloft hotel on Route 73. All I can say is what an amazing show. I was really impressed with everything. The dancers were amazing and they were having so much fun. You could tell that these kids, no matter what level, were pumped with confidence. As a mom, I love to see this! The dance instructors were great with even the youngest children. It was such a pleasure to see this wonderful show. My boys are not into dance but if they were, they would definitely take lessons at Artists in Motion! read more

I moved my daughter to this dance school after a friend recommended it based on the "laid back" feel. My other daughter loved going to watch so much, she gave up MMA to dance (and is now going to dance 4 classes a week!). But, why I really love it is the classes for me! I can fit in a barre class while my kids dance. They are the only studio around that has the fabulous 9:30-10:30 A.M. class - perfect for a Cherry Hill mom to walk the kids to school, get there, work out, go home and shower, and pick up the kindergartener. The instructors are positive, without being too mean or too perky. And, because I am Deaf, they keep an eye out to see if I am totally off base with what I am doing and will quickly come and help out. But the best part? I hadn't ocean kayaked off LBI for 12 years. While I am not in shape at all, just by taking barre once a week (or once every other), I was able to carry the kayak to the beach, drag it down, launch through the waves, get my daughter in, paddle us both for a half hour, then drag it back up the beach and carry it home. Oh, and when we went to Great Adventure two days later, I could ride Kingda Ka without hurting my back (which happened the year before). I may be silently cursing Michele, Kristen, or Stephanie as they make me do planks, but it is paying off big time in being stronger. I love that they focus on progress and strength and not size...both for myself and my daughters. Love, love, love this studio. read more

I've been coming here since 2012 - still thrilled to find this studio. Michelle is a treasure but all of the teachers I've taken class with have been excellent. The Ballet Barre class makes you sweat but is still oddly fun - I feel very virtuous after the hour of weights, T arabesques, and skaters. The Adult Intermediate Ballet is very satisfying - Michelle gauges the skill level of the class that day and suggests ways to increase the level of difficulty or ease it depending on her audience. The classes are big enough you get a group gestalt going (nice energy) but not so crowded you are fighting for space. I don't have any children attending but the kids heading into their class always look eager - skipping into class. There are four studios with classes every single day of the week so you could likely find one (or several) to fit your schedule. The studio is air conditioned and the floors have dance mats so my knees/back do not complain. I think the prices are quite fair. read more

Very poor customer service and conflict resolution. I went to a Barre class with my friend and I really enjoyed myself. So much so that I bought an 8 class package before I left that the receptionist quoted me a price that was 20% off for signing up that night. Apparently there are 2 packages (one is zumba and hip hop and one for Barre) that you pick how many classes you want to purchase. The receptionist did not ask me that, only how many classes. I obviously just came in for a Barre class and the receptionist knew that. Therefore I paid and followed the process she took me through. A week later I scheduled a Barre class and went in. The receptionist proceeds to tell me in a loud tone in front a number of children and parents in the reception area that I purchased the wrong package and that I purchased a Zumba package. I corrected her and reminded her my experience with her the week before. She continued to in a loud tone blaming me and defending herself saying she would have never done something like that and it was me. She is now engaging me in a back and forth instead of trying to solve the problem. So much so one woman (the only nice person I experienced there, wish I had her name), came out to see what the problem was. She was quiet and apologetic and seemed to want to solve the issue. But then the owner came from the back room and blurted out, "just refund her her money". i explained that I had not asked for that and this issue was not something I created. The owner and the receptionist were rude, blaming the customer and ignorant. The only resolution was to ask me to pay a significant amount more for the package I had initially requested. But due to how I continued to be treated, I decided, why would I even want to give them my money with how it went down in the first place and how the receptionist immediately engaged me in blaming me for her mistake, loudly, as if I had done something wrong and then the owner whipping out of the room directly connected to the reception area to say refund my money when I had not even asked at that point. I simply decided this experience was to uncomfortable for me to stay and I accepted the refund. No apologies made by the receptionist part and no attempt to care or problem solve by the owner. Just reaction. So then, I posted a one star on their facebook page and the owner then engages me, posting first, wording her version of the situation, making statements that I said, that I never said and putting my character in question. I respond that my review is based on poor customer service and poor conflict resolution and she continues to blame and posts lies that i was angry, loud and combative and that she was concerned for the children in the building. Complete defamation of character when no such thing happened. There was no threat of danger at any time. Again, no taking responsibility for her receptionist who started the conflict with her loud tone, in front of a room of people which I paid attention to because I found it embarrassing that she engaged me in blaming me for her mistake. It was just surreal and an unbelievable moment that did not have to go that direction. And then for the owner to attempt to make me look like I was belligerent when I absolutely was not is a sign of her character and a disgrace. I have let a number of people know about this experience and will continue to do so. read more
