They trust that you can learn fast and make interesting additions to each dance style straight away to your tolerance. The overall format includes one one (or two) instruction, group instruction, and several practice times to perfect the steps. Styling-which is the subtle nuances of hand, head and hip gesture-is introduced as early as possible to give the enrolled a true sense of the dance that is felt on the professional level. You'll never leave feeling incapable or hopeless in your ability to learn Rumba, Salsa, Tango, Fox Trot, Mambo, Cha-Cha, or Swing. The pricing in commensurate with the commitment to practice and lesson times that you are willing to take on. They give a lot, but the price makes you consider reconsidering. That cost them one star. The structure of this studio is very effective. They are totally professional and we have not met an employee there that is not completely invested in your success. Yes, the cost is a challenge, however, the value that you get is well worth it. They put a plan together that works for you. They put together a combination of group lessons, private lessons, and as many practice sessions as you can handle. During the practice "club dance" sessions ALL of the instructors are there to make corrections and help you apply what you have been taught. While we have had a great experience with all of the instructors, we love our private instructor. My husband and I started this as something that we wanted to learn together, unsure of how we would like it, and we are hooked! As far as dealing with problems, we had to reschedule one time and they were wonderfully accommodating. In addition, when we are unable to get the private lesson time that we want on a particular week, they keep in contact and let us know immediately of any cancellations. My husband and I took dance lessons here for about 5 months prior to our New Years Eve wedding. We went in on a whim (there was a groupon special) and ended up loving it! It was great to learn a new skill together, and especially one that we can use even after our wedding. It was also a great experience because we really had to work together-a great exercise right before the wedding. AWFUL!!!!! I paid in full for 6 classes which were NOT cheap and I had to withdraw after only 1 class. I requested a refund (which I was told when I bought the classes that I could get at any time for any unused classes) and it took 3 emails and a phone call to hear back from anyone. I was told the refund was being processed. When it didn't come, I emailed again and was told I needed to write a formal letter. I did so and dropped it off just to be told that NONE of the counselors were available to speak to me (although the place was empty) and I needed to speak to the director who had stepped out. That was 2 days ago and I'm STILL waiting for the director to call me. I'm so upset at this place. I'm owed $495 and they are trying to keep my money!!!! Funny, when you request a trial class, they email you immediately. When you request a refund you can email, call and show up in person and STILL be ignored. DO NOT sign up for classes there!!!! If you ever have to withdraw, good luck getting your money back! UPDATE: I finally got my money back but I had to make 5 phone calls, send 3 emails and FINALLY just show up in person to get my refund! RIDICULOUS! read more

Then when it came time to sign up the owner said that was a mistake, "an offer we had 2 years ago". The real price is 5 times more expensive! Everything is very structured, yet they work with you and what you want so that it fits perfectly to the individual. The studio space is amazing; they have multiple ballrooms, all of which are a great size. Hold onto your wallets! If you don't mind taking lessons from a shady business owner who pretends to care for his students, then by all means, open your wallet. Just don't get swindled when they tell you that the lessons are 100% refundable if you choose to quit. I didn't WANT to quit my lessons, I HAD to due to divorce. The ONLY one authorized to refund your money is the owner and he performs an expert duck and run routine. When I did manage to track him down, all I got were sob stories about how he was going through a hard time and didn't have my money. Meanwhile, he was driving around in his new Mercedes and I was losing my home. After relentlessly hounding him, I got back 66% of what he owed me and couldn't get any more out of him. His employees would lie for him in order to give him an escape route. I was wasting too much negative energy on it and decided to move on, but the least I could do was warn others. If you want lessons, pay as you go. You never know what life will throw at you and it will cost less in the long run. The actual dancing...yes, good, but they have a high employee attrition and no one at a wedding will know how to do what you've learned.
