How do you give ZERO stars? Unfortunately, after I got home and looked at my hair in the mirror, I realized I asked for cool blonde; no dark; cover the grays and please do a set of full highlights. If you want the opposite of that, go to Artistry. I immediately called to get my hair corrected and sadly, the day I had my correction appointment, my son got sick and he was for 3 more days. (3/6 kids all had the flu!!) When I simply called the salon to tell them I was finally coming up for air...the owner was down right rude, unprofessional and mean and she told me I signed a contract that stated I only had 5 days to come back in. I explained my situation with my sick children and told her I had no control over their illnesses. She didn't want to hear it. She was not willing to work with me and she was happy to send away an unhappy customer. She did assure me she would charge me to correct my hair since it was 5 days past my original hair appointment. If you want poor customer service by the owner, and if you want to pay almost $300 for services you are not happy with, then: this is the place for you!! Book now, girls! read more

I am new to the area and got not one, but 2 different recommendation for Davina! It's really stressful when you move to a new city and are basically starting over with a new stylist. But Davina has been awesome. First of all, she listens to you and she isn't pushy. Play she just knows her color. super sweet and always accommodating. Glad I listened to those recommendations! I hate to admit that I used to hop from salon to salon and never stuck with one hair stylist. But, since I've been coming to Artistry Salon and became a client of Haley - I'm now a regular! You are greeted warmly by the amazing front desk as soon as you walk in. They are always super helpful and kind. I've always been very pleased with all of my services from haircuts to hair color to keratin treatments to eye brow waxes. And when it comes to hair ... Haley is the Best. I don't dread haircuts anymore - it's like catching up with an old friend (who happens to be amazing with all things hair )! She even cuts my son's hair and he's a big fan. Huge disappointment. Not a first class salon. Really just inattentive and unprofessional. Also raised boys haircuts from $50 to $105 ! How does one justify that? Their friends get cuts for $35. Insulting and taking advantage of a wealthy community. Cannot justify outrageous prices with poor and underwhelming service. Twice my boys had to return for uneven cuts. I needed to find someplace that could do both my hair and makeup for my wedding. I called Artistry and was able to make appointments both for a practice session and the day of. Lindsey, my hair and makeup artist, was fantastic. We made tweaks and changes between the practice and the actual day, and she incorporated the colors of my dress when making decisions about makeup. I was even able to purchase my lip colors to keep with me during the day. I'm not good at hair and makeup, so I'm not sure how best to articulate what was done, but I felt like I was able to bring in photos/inspiration and get a great updo and makeup to help my wedding photos capture me at my best on my wedding day. Took my daughter in for an appointment she just turned 13, I was charged $100 for haircut and conditioning treatment. That's insane for a 13 year old. Love this place! It is very difficult to find a great hairstylist but I found her when I started working in Franklin. Her name is Amanda and she does great things with my hair. I've been several times now and won't go anywhere else. I love the way she cuts and styles my hair. You get free bang trims in between cuts also. I've never had that anywhere else and sometimes you just need your bangs out of your eyes instead of a full haircut. I also have my eyebrows waxed every time I get my haircut. Who wants to waste all that time tweezing them out when you can get them waxed in a few minutes. I've also had my nails done here once and loved it. I would have already been back to have another manicure if I could quit breaking them. I don't like fake nails so I wait to grow mine out a bit before I get a manicure. I will be taking advantage of more of the services here now that we've moved to Franklin. read more

Post stay in place, allowing businesses to open, there are strict guidelines to keep people safe. I love getting my nails done by Rachel; she is a wizard at making my hands and nails look good. I love going to her and was looking forward to a spa manicure last Tuesday. When I arrived the only thing that was being done was masks on people, Everything else was the same; business as usual, with close quarters, people walking back and forth behind me, brushing past me; a stylist less than 3 feet behind me working on a client. When I expressed my concern the desk person, Haley blew me off. I called back the next day and asked to speak to the manager and was told she was not available. When I expressed my concern again; Haley the rececptionist from the day before, again got snippy with me and told me they weren't laws just guideline suggestions and if I wanted to cancel appointments until phase 2 or 3 was happening then I could. I cancelled my appointments booked weekly through Dec. because of how the salon was handling being open and how Haley talked to me. They got 2 stars because Rachel is wonderful(she actually deserves 4 star rating, and zero for the conditions and the customer service. Joan read more

I feel bad for leaving only 2 stars because Rachel does the best nail spa manicure I have ever gotten and I have really bad nails. However, the reopening post shut down makes me concerned because the nail station isn't protected from lots of walkbys, and a hair station in use less than 3 feet from my chair; and open container/beverage station right next to me. It was business as usual except for the wearing of masks. When I expressed my concern to the girl answering my call, Haley I was informed that the salon was within the suggested guidelines; they were not laws and if I was unhappy then I could wait to return until phase 2 or 3. I moved to Franklin in April and wanted to try the salon in my new neighborhood, which is Artistry SpaSalon. The receptionist recommended Beth when I asked for a stylist who could work with my short hair, which is prone to wave and curls unless it is tamed. I can't believe how lucky I was to find such a skilled and perceptive stylist so quickly. I have always been very happy with the way she cuts and styles my hair. For my last visit, I asked for some modifications, and she hit the mark perfectly! I couldn't be happier with the results, and my hair is even easier to style at home than it was before. Beth avoids using the flatiron on my hair, and she achieves better results than my last stylist, who tended to use the flatiron routinely. I have been amazed that I am able to achieve comparable results at home, also without the flatiron. It helped that she tutored me on the styling products and process she used and gave me simple alternatives. I highly recommend the salon (and Beth!) based on my experience over the past five months. read more
